Love this place and the ambience. A cool nostalgic vibe with funny merchandise. Their oxtail pho was different than I've had before at other spots. The broth was more like a beef broth than traditional pho broth. Still comforting and soothing. I appreciate that they give you plenty of tender oxtail. Their shrimp fresh spring rolls were tasty. I didn't try the banh mi but I was told it was a solid sandwich. Their Thai tea was refreshing and hit the spot. There was no wait for a Sunday at 1pm. Service was nice and fast. Parking is a little hard since it's metered street parking. We luckily found a spot nearby. This place is cashless but these days most people pay with a card, so not a huge inconvenience. I would come back to try out more dishes.

A cozy space with stellar food. I walked in with no expectations and had the most delicious plate of fries and beef (Lomo Saltado). The chicken spring rolls I had were also delicious and the servings were large enough for me to enjoy a second meal at home. Really great spot with a friendly team, I highly recommend.

The best oxtail pho I’ve ever had. I just moved here and needed a new pho place, thank god I found this one. They give such generous pieces of oxtail and it’s nothing short of amazing. The broth too- so flavorful and healing. I get this any time I’m not feeling well and it just feels so amazing. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Lovely staff and service as well. And environment! 10/10.

The pho had more tendon than any other pho place I’ve been to and I really love tendon. Delicious grilled chicken spring roll, Thai iced tea, and coconut pudding dessert. Janet was amazing. She explained everything so patiently. I’m so glad she explained how to eat the dessert because I wouldn’t have known to combine the tapioca with the ice cream and mango.

Fantastic Bhan Mi! The pork was packed with juicy flavor and complimented the other fresh toppings really well. Plenty of protein in their house special Pho with a savory broth. Would love to go back to try some of their other dishes. Love the old timey retro atmosphere/theme they have going!

Thank you for opening on the Memorial Day, adds one star. Food wise. The soup base of the oxtail pho is the blandest I’ve tasted, and the oxtail is so finery they all stick in my teeth. When I get them out they all turn into floss, yes that’s how tough they are. Updates: it gave me a stomachache. Not acceptable.

Love Pho Saigon Pearl. I wish they stayed open past 9 PM but that’s solely because I love it so much and sometimes I don’t get off work in time to go get it. The food is delicious and fresh and my husband loves it too and he is mainly eating high protein so that says something too!

A few of us got Pho from Pho Saigon Pearl delivered to work for lunch and it was exactly what we needed. The food arrived super quickly. It came with a bunch of toppings and the noodles were separated from the broth to ensure freshness. We all doctored ours up the way we like and it was so delicious. This was the most comforting and warming meal we could have gotten.

Ordered to go for a friend/new mama in early November. Service. Kind. Food hot and delicious. And appreciate concern from I believe 'Janet' was the one who answered. She wanted to make sure I ordered the right thing for a friend who was a newer mom. Service quick. Restaurant clean. Order ready! And price is right. Everything in LA is expensive, but the quality here and the price is more than fair. I appreciate this and looking for more Pho in the future for mamas I bring food to.

Always a great place to grab some proper Vietnamese pho and noodle dishes. Tofu is made in-house. Stop! I love to sit outside. One of the few places that don't forget about their customers sitting out front. It's so cute in here, the 80s/90s nostalgic decor and nice touch of the bill slip sitting in a tape cassette case. Service is GREAT! I've never had an order messed up. Every employee is super nice, and good with recommendations. Plenty of on street metered parking or in the neighborhood. Just be mindful of the parking signs. I feel like the menus prices are fair, I do like the option of giving the kitchen a $10 round of beers. They are cashless. You can pay via QR code on bill receipt or with server. They also take Venmo. Note, there is a 3% surcharge on credit card, but on debit cards. And don't get me started on this playlist. Y'all got it on Spotify? THE FOOD: Vegetarian Pho (in beef bone broth) - hella good! Packed with fresh veggies and fried tofu that is still SOFT not all fried hard. The beef bone broth is so flavorful, there's no need to add the hoisin sauce. Chili if you want some spice. Ugh, the in- house made chili oil is good too! Fried Egg Rolls, vegetarian - these the best I have had in LA. No lie. They not super greasy, there's veggies still have some firmness to them, not that mushy BS. Come plated with lettuce, basil, pickled red onion to wrap the egg roll in. Properly! Lemongrass Chili Stir Fry - ugh. So good! Next time, over rice add fried egg. Please and thank you! Daaaaamn Gina cocktail - Refreshing, but on the sweet side ( I don't like sweetened drinks) but if I did I'd get this again and again. Strawberry Mint Limeade, sparkling - So nice. Not overly sweet like traditional lemonade. Appreciate that you can order this flat or sparkling. Thai Iced Tea - very nice. And sold by half gallon. A plus.

The location definitely seems smaller than the Pho Saigon Pearl I've been to out in Irvine. Then again, it's been years since I went to that location. One note is that you can smell the aromas of their delicious grill just driving by. It's bound to attract hungry passerbys. They have pretty good sea salt jasmine tea, which is something I enjoy ordering on the side to enhance my dining experiences. To start, we had the egg rolls, which had a unique texture different from the usual. I've had these kind of egg rolls before and I think I prefer it over the usual. We ordered the filet mignon pho, which had good flavors. I think I like the pho that comes with a variety of meat much more than this. The pork chop with rice was probably my fave here this meal. You can't go wrong with the pickled veggies and delicious grilled pork that's been marinated perfectly. Overall, I think we had a decent meal here and the food is good.

I haven't been here since they first open and I came a few days ago with my friend before I left for Vietnam. Service wise Jackie was amazing!! She offered recommendations, but also she was kind and hilarious. The food was great, but I definitely come back just because of her. I ordered the PhoFax special and it was so good I Definitely will be back soon to try other menu items and drinks.

This was a cute little place. The Nuoc Mam Chicken Wings were so good, very crispy and flavorful. We also got pho and bubble tea which were great! The staff were very quick and nice.

We love it here!! Thank you so much Janeth, she was amazing with the service and the food... Omg the food!! We share one Pho and the Lomo saltado as well, it was more than enough for 2! The desert that we order ( Coconut) was so refreshing and nothing sweet at all which we love it! Definitely will come back!

My favorite Pho and rice place in this area! Legit! Flavors are amazing, sauces are on point and the meat juicy and tender. I love how they have a retro feel to the place by having old TV, VHS playing, and they give you the bill in an okd cassette box. Super cool! Everything is always very clean and the restaurant smells good. My only complaint is that it's generally very cold inside, but it's maybe to offset the hot soup? I love the eggrolls, lomo saltado plate with french fries and filet mignon....oxtail pho.... Boba drinks, beer, sake and wine. And the coconut tapioca dessert with icea is truly to die for!!!!!

Walk by this place often, but finally had the chance to dine in today with friends. I had the shrimp fried rice. So good! Was so hungry I didn't get a pic of the food. Service was good, too. One note: They're a cashless place.

I've never left a review on anything but this place was just awful. Service was bad. We were the first one of 4 groups that came in, they were all given menus while we waited for minutes. It wasn't until we asked for menus that they realized. They also took forever to take our order while all the rest of the groups basically had their food already. But most importantly, I FOUND HAIR IN MY BEEF MEATBALL??? When I pointed it out, they only replaced my spoon with the hairy meatball in it. Pho was also bland. Tasted like overpriced canned pho and the place was clearly not an authentic viet resturant.

Came here recently with a family member that frequents this place. From the get go, we were treated like the restaurants family. Such friendly and quick service. I went with the banh mi with pork, basil style. While the price was steep, this was huge with chock full of quality ingredients. Big enough to share. The bread in particular was firm enough to stay together but tender inside. Just perfect. I got the broth on the side to dip in too. But that broth was legit. We also had the wings which were so rich and delicious. And the egg rolls too. Inside is cozy and it was comfortable. You can even watch old videos or play on old video games. Oh and get the egg in the pho. Totally worth it.

Decided to give pho a shot on the west side, since there doesn't seem to be much option. I got the combo pho and the taste is fine, but pricey for what it is. Portions weren't that big for like 17-18 dollars a bowl. Not that much noodles and meats. Finished it quick and was still hungry. Spoiled with options in the OC. But if you live in the area and got a craving for pho, it's aight. Avocado smoothie was good tho. Would get again.

An easy walk from LACMA, for some post-museum nourishment. Lots of pho options, since that is in their name. The non-pho dishes are nice too. Oxtail Pho: I'm well aware that oxtail is a magic ingredient in pho to give the broth such a rich flavor after many hours of simmering, however I rarely see it offered at restaurants. While the meat is indeed quite tender and quite flavorful, eating it is such a pain. The meat is usually tightly packed in bone crevices with a big fatty bodyguard you got to tear through. Lots of work and messy, for not much meat. So while I liked the novelty, next time I'll probably stick with the traditional pho meats. Meanwhile, the broth itself was rich and full of flavor. I did like how the oxtail came in a separate bowl with some extra broth too. Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl: Very simple, yet delicious. So much flavor in that chicken marinade.

Soooo... I was craving some garlic noodles... you know the kind similar to the ones at Crustaceans... well see that's where I went wrong. lol my expectations were too high. These garlic noodles were basic. Yes they were noodles, yes there was a garlic flavor, yes it was slightly sweet and savory, but the noodles weren't soft... it was oily and my shrimp were overdone... so would I order from here again.. nope. Should you? Maybe.

OMG I love this place, pho-real! I tried their Saignon Combo, Shrimp Pho, and thai tea. If you ever need a pick me up during the holiday or cold season, the Shrimp Pho Noodle Soup puts in work! The soup will make your body feel more better, trust me ;) The Saignon Combo is honestly my favorite. The vermicilli noods and char-chicken/shrimp were delicious. For service, it honestly depends who you get, but there is one who is consistently kind. For parking, they have side metered parking. My orders are usually to go, but the seating inside looks cozy. I love their artwork and merchandise. The puns are my fav. Totally recommend this place to get your pho -fix.

Decent pho in an area that lacks Asian food options. Filet in pho is overcooked. Not much depth of flavor in broth, requires sriracha. Egg rolls were more chewy than crispy, with minimal filling, only 4 rolls for $13. Note that there is a credit card surcharge and they do not accept cash. Great service by waitresses.

SO YUM!!! Not only is Pho Saigon Pearl the real deal, they have such an incredibly good vibe. I mean, just take a look at their hilarious merch. I stopped by last night for the first time (finally!) and had a blast. We were running a little late for a movie at the grove, but Janet took suuuuuch good care of us. Thankfully, we were all excited and knew exactly what we wanted so we were able to order quickly and got in and out in under an hour. We started off with the flossy fries which were so unique and such a fun flavor profile to start us off. I got the DAAAAAMN GINA which was a gin based drink with Thai basil. Incredibly good, not super strong but definitely tasty. Around the table we got: street fried rice, a banh mi (with a fried egg on top!), the Phofax special, and the garlic noodles with chicken. The pho was so delicious and warmed me right up. I was so surprised though that the homemade beef meatball was the tastiest bite of the bowl. You've gotta try it. The garlic noodles were so unexpected! I'm no expert on Vietnamese cuisine but this sort of fusion was awesome. It's a very unassuming dish, yet it was truly addictive. Albeit being a short visit, Pho Saigon Pearl left a lasting impact. I'm already looking forward to going back, and even to do takeout. I saw some of their milk teas being packaged up for to-go orders on my way out and got so jealous. Thanks again Janet!!

I hate to leave a bad review but I could have swore i was being pranked with my to go order. When you're feeling sick and all you want is a soup and get home to this is just beyond unreal! The amount of broth given was the saddest thing i have ever seen! 29$ for this and a thai tea is a joke!

I found I'm a little spoiled by living in San Gabriel, which has some of the best Vietnamese food in the Los Angeles area. I had originally learned about Pho Saigon Pearl from the KTLA News and really wanted to try this place out. Located on the busy Fairfax Avenue, it was a long trek to get here, but there was plenty of street parking for the wife and me. We ordered the spring rolls, garlic noodles loma saltado and oxtail pho, which were relatively good, but nothing compared to the restaurants in San Gabriel or Westminster. For the westside, I feel Crustacean is probably the best there is, but I'm still looking for some great Vietamese food in the westside area of Los Angeles. If there is great Japanese food in Sawtelle, there must be some great Vietnamese food somewhere on the westside...

The oxtail pho is BOMB!!! At other spots I find that it's all bone but this place actually had meat attached to the bone. Surprisingly, the boba was perfect! Warm, not too hard/soft, perfect chewiness, and was actually sweet. I did not expect this from a viet restaurant. I also love the 90s interior decor. I'm definitely coming back with friends.

The worst pho i've ever had in my life. Someone who's from new york and had high expectations of the pho in cali. I was disappointed. It was around night time and the other pho places recommended were closed but everyone was also saying this spot was great. The service was amazing but the food was horrendous. The broth tastes like oil. The noodles were a hard eat. Not authentic didn't taste like pho whatsoever. Not worth the price either.

Happily found this place while looking for lunch, walking distance from LACMA. It's on a busy stretch of Fairfax so limited street parking immediately in front and more on side streets. Bright and calm inside, quietly playing Night before Christmas on a small countertop screen in the background. Multiple indoor and outdoor tables available. Friendly staff greeted and seated me right away in a nice alcove window seat. They also frequently checked on how I was doing, which I appreciated. I ordered iced Vietnamese coffee which was strong and not too sweet, the way I like it. The pho with filet mignon was absolutely delicious. I loved the broth. The meat was very tender and the noodles just the right texture. Next time I'm in the area I'd like to try the garlic noodles and spring rolls.

Service was exceptional and it's a cute restaurant owned by sisters! The pho was hearty, with generous portions of meat, but quite pricey at $19. Egg rolls are a good app to share.

Went to their "pop-up" in San Pedro, they started at 5pm, I was in line at 5:30 and waited until 6:10 when they announced they were sold out. The line was about 20 people deep, but super slow. The Pho Saigon Pearl team promoted this, had posts and word of mouth got a decent crowd. The Pho Saigon Pearl team appeared to be very underprepared, food wise and how to deal with a line. The process to share that they were sold out at 6:10pm was very unprofessional. I watched it all, the owners of the place talking to the Pho owners, I knew what was coming and hoped they'd say we have x amount left. One of the people working with the Pho team said to the crowd "message us next time and we will bring more". Really?!? They said we are out of broth completely. Then they promoted their wings, 2 minutes later she says, we have 1 order of wings left. Mind you, they stopped accepting orders for 7 minutes, nobody was ordering. They were supposed to be open until 8pm, 40 minute wait for nothing, very disappointing.

Stopped in Saigon Pearl on a rainy Saturday after checking out the Peterson finally up the street. When I first came in there was a large group waiting to be seated. The space isn't big so I was sort of awkwardly crammed up against the door with someone else trying to get takeout. Again, this is a rainy Saturday mid afternoon so not busy otherwise. Someone could have told the group to step to the side, acknowledging the rest of us, while they waited instead of holding up other patrons. Anyways I'll let it slide. Ordered the Vegetarian Pho which I made sure had some tofu as I'm a growing veggie boy, and a beer. Food came out pretty quickly and my waitress was super attentive and sweet. The pho was very good and stock full of veggies. The tofu was crisp to perfection though I wish they had a little more than the three pieces. However I felt stuffed by the end of it and I can usually eat a ton, so hefty portion I'd say. The space is very cozy and cool vibes with books and things laying around. Really cool holders for the receipts too (see picture). Overall pretty solid Pho spot and I'd definitely come back again.

Overdue for an updated review especially because they have more recently added new items to the menu! These are mainly Tapas-ish type dishes with Vietnamese street vibes. Delicious & perfect with the Saigon beer cheers! I didn't see some of the familiar servers I previously got used to but the service was as stellar and friendly as always. Thank you!

An acute health risk. I hate to leave a bad review as the staff was friendly and the pho itself did not taste bad, just lukewarm and undercooked. In retrospect, "undercooked" should have been a red flag; it was a prelude to the worst case of food poisoning I've suffered in decades. I should clarify that this was dine-in, the food in question was vegetarian, and we told the waiter that we were not in a hurry (so there is no reason the food should have been rushed). Please take more care in cooking your vegetables. This was a really unpleasant experience.

I've lived in Vietnam for more than half of my life so my expectations for pho are high especially when I frequently visit GG/Westminister. I was recently craving pho and I saw that Pho Saigon Pearl had an astounding 4.5/5 reviews so I had to check this spot out! I wish I did more research because all of the highly rated reviews were not POCs (not saying their opinions aren't valid but they might not have a basis of what good/authentic pho taste like) for $40 you get a small bowl of pho with literally just two pieces of thinly sliced beef and two spring rolls... I'm all for supporting vietnamese restaurants but I think I will have to just drive down to little saigon because no where in LA has managed to serve up a good bowl of pho.

Hi, It feels like ages since I last made a review on Yelp. This place is amazing! :) The chicken wings with fish sauce, street fried rice, and garlic noodles are my favorites! Now, the garlic noodles could use less oil. But they are still good! I've never actually went inside the restaurant (my dad works there, so I sometimes get free food haha), but judging from the pictures, it seems like a really awesome place!

Pho was solid! You can tell the broths been cooking for hours, lots and lots of flavor! Platings a bit lackluster but I could care less since all boxes for flavor were checked. But also, when is pho ever really plated extravagantly? Idk I got the combo bun and I must say I was also impressed and satisfied. Shrimp was cooked perfectly with a hefty portion of protein. I also like the large scoop of ground peanuts and the addition of fried shallots (but that's just a personal preference) And finally, the best thing we had: THE PANDAN COCONUT WAFFLE. It had the chewy, gelatinous jelly (?) inside that reminded me of the desserts in SE Asia, topped with a drizzle of condensed milk... literally sealed the deal for me. My local pho spot was bought out by...non Vietnamese folks and it just doesn't hit the same. Truly happy to have gotten solid Vietnamese food. There's definitely some fusion/modernization going on but I'm here for it! The small TV with VHS tapes of staple 90s movies was a bonus nostalgic component. Will be back!

We love the food here! We've yet to visit the shop in person but we've hit order on Postmates multiple times because it's just so dang tasty! Plus it comes super quick when we're ready to EAT! We get the Saigon combos (I get shrimp and the hubby gets the beef) and we're very satisfied each and every time!

Had not had phô for a while so, on my business trip, decided to go with a colleague. She wanted to go here so we ventured out. They have a happy hour that ends at 7 so we were able to get a beer in before it ended. They had several vegetarian options so I had a good selection. She ordered the "make your own" phô and I ordered the vegetarian phô. Both were excellent and I have no complaints. I would give them a 5 but we were going to sit inside but it was like a walk in freezer so we sat outside, which was not bad. We did have the pleasure of witnessing the delivery robot right where we were sitting.

Went here for dinner last night and had an incredible time. The food was AMAZING, service was super attentive, and ambiance was adorable. I got the grilled meat pho with beef and couldn't stop raving about it to my friend while I was eating! I'm surprised this place doesn't have a 5/5 on yelp but I also am no pho expert, all I know is it tasted great to me and I will definitely be coming back!

I've been here many times, and I always really enjoy my meal. The broth is insanely delicious and the meat and noodles are cooked perfectly. I don't think I've ever waited more than 10 minutes for my food to arrive. Overall really tasty food!

Loooooove this place. Always a great meal and the food comes out quick! Sometimes it can pretty busy so might wait a bit but a nice indoor or outdoor option helps accommodate. Today when we went there was only one server on shift which made it a little longer wait but he did really well and was accommodating. Always a nice treat to stop by.

I got the oxtail for my girlfriend got the vegetarian and to be honest it was nothing special, may have to come back here just to see if I ordered something I didn't like. The service was OK. The only problem was the lady consistently asked us if we needed anything and didn't even allow us to breathe ambience was really cool. Probably the best part I would recommend sitting by the window.

The menu says the broth was simmered for 20hrs, and I believe it! It's so rich and flavorful. It's not watery at all. The noodle to meat ratio is perfect. The meat was very tender, literally melts in your mouth! So good! I'm very happy with the portion. I was able to take some home. The service?! Absolutely perfect. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The vibe in here gives modern with a nostalgic feeling. Traditionally Vietnamese art and family photos with VHS tapes playing and cassette tapes as receipt carriers. And happy hour! $7/glass of wine. 10/10! You need to come through!

Oh wow... first time i cane here was a few years ago .. but idk if its the owner or different management. I not only experienced the worst service ever but the food for the price was just mediocre at best . Something that happened during my visit was: I was eating here the other day and i could see some worker yelling at a customer telling them not to come back .. i felt extremely uncomfortable and was thinking that it was not appropriate at all.. the way she handled whatever was going on, was one of the most odd encounters ever. Screaming, to throwing the customers card on the floor, unapologetically telling them to leave ... the rudest thing i have seen in a long time.. it was not professional and i know i will never be going back here.. Takeaway: food is gonna be pricey in this area fine . But what i experienced made me not wanna come back for a while.. maybe ever .

Could not have better things to say. We are visiting some family in LA and were out exploring Santa Monica area. We were cold and ready for some warm food. We came about 30 minutes to close and everyone was still extremely friendly and willing to let us eat. I don't remember our servers name but she was great! Great portion sizes and flavor. Some of the best fried rice and pho I've had. The hot oil they bring to the table is different than I'm used to seeing in appearance but probably had one of the best flavors I've ever had. The pho here is delicious!!! The meat was cooked perfectly and tasty. 10/10 in my book. Environment was clean! And there was an area to sit outside. They also serve alcohol which is a plus. Price point for what you get is very reasonable. Wish we had similar food like this at home.

The waitress was very very nice. The soup I got was beyond delicious along with the thai tea it was so good like i want it inside my system. The place is very cute and in a good area. 100000% recommend

OH PHO SAIGON PEARL!! I love youuuuuuu. Food here is always so so so so so so good (except for that one time I went and the basil beef was so salty it burned my lips but i still ate it) I absolutely love the Basil Beef with rice and EXTRA pickled onions. OBSESSED with their delicious spring rolls. The service is great! I love all of the staff there everyone seems to genuinely be having a good time. The vibes are great everyone is simply enjoying some good food. I love that they play movies on their little TV.

Just found a roach in broth container,picked up today. We were regular customers for a long time. Never expected this. Not appropriate To have infects around the kitchen, especially inside food ...!

Wow, what an incredible experience at Pho Saigon Pearl! I ordered the chicken wings and they were absolutely delicious - crispy and flavorful, I could've eaten a whole plate of them! And the Pho with BBQ chicken was out of this world, the broth was rich and savory and the noodles were cooked to perfection. But what really made my experience stand out was the exceptional customer service. Ajea and McKenna our server, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, recommending the perfect dishes for us to try. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time, and it really showed. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the prices were very reasonable. I can't wait to come back and try more of the menu! 5 stars isn't enough, I'd give it 10 if I could!
