I want to say that Pho Viet is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Hands down. At one point we were eating here once a week. If I didn't travel so much I would still probably hear once a week. For the better part of 8 years depending if it's cold or hot we choose either the Pho(ribeye steak with brisket for the wife, I get though everything one with tripe and cartilage). When we want (non Pho) we gets the bun with lemongrass beef and egg roll. We always get the Vietnamese coffee as well. My wife likes to drink hers throughout the mill. I let mine sit until the very end and I have it as a dessert. This is a family-run business from grandmother down to grandkids. Every year they take a 2-week vacation and the store is shut down. They are a blast to talk to and they remember who you are and they know I'm going to get the red chili paste and eat half a bottle. They are looking for wait staff and kitchen help I believe. Also they do not take American Express. Definitely stop here and eat. Probably catch me there one day.

It’s bit out of our way but we do visit this place when we feel like some delicious fried tofu and shaken beef. Every time, every dishes we’ve ordered never disappoints.

Google
We live less than 10 minutes from this place and have never been in until just recently. My only regret is that we haven’t been coming here for years! The food was great, the service was friendly, and the restaurant was nice and clean. Our server was very polite and made a great recommendation. I had the pan fried noodles with beef, chicken, and shrimp, and my girlfriend had soup with tons of noodles and shrimp dumplings. The food came out super fast fast, there are awesome soup spoons available on the table, and hoisin, soy sauce, and sriracha to add as you please. This is definitely a great place for the family or for date night!

Google
Restaurant looks clean and organized. We were seated right away, and give him a few minutes to look at the menu over. The food was good, and came out in about 5 minutes from ordering. But I expected more given the ratings it has. I asked for grilled lemongrass pork, butt did not taste lemongrass in my dish. I know water was from tap, but it had an strong after taste.

Google
One of my favorite local restaurants! I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The lunch specials are the best; they comes with rice, an egg roll, vegetables, and soup (plus the main item)! Pictured are the lunch special with Beef & Basil, and the Combination Chicken & Shrimp Clay Pot. Extremely fast service too!

Google
Not my favorite place. Went here for the first time. They have decent prices for lunch, and portions are pretty big. A ordered Stir Fried Lemongrass shrimp. Shrimp and rice was good, but they put ok much onions. Spring rolls with shrimps was very good. Mediocre service. This place is a no for me.

Google
Quick service. Clean place. Ordered chicken spring roll and chicken hot pot. Both came out quickly. Hot pot was a little bland and had to add that brown sauce. The spring roll was ok. Nothing exceptional. Good food and service.

Google
This place holds a special place in my heart. My ex bf and I used to always go there and we would always sit on the right back table by the front desk. That was our spot. We would always order the seafood pho and he would order the eye round steak pho and ofc shrimp spring rolls. It’s sooo delicious 🥰 unfortunately my ex passed away last year in march and I’ve been there once since his passing. I want to say that the food is amazing and the people that own this place is amazing as well. The pho is so so so delicious will forever be our favorite spot. ❤️🙏🏼

Yelp
So if you're in the mood for some Phô - look no further, this is definitely our family's GO TO when it's overcast or rainy (yes, that's our trigger to start to mention Phô - lol). We always add extra veggies, but a regular order is plenty whether you go with the beef or chicken (we LOVE getting the chicken)... there's just something about extra veggies when we get Pho, but to each its own - they won't disappoint!!! If Phô isn't your thing, you can't go wrong with any of their fried rice dishes and you can easily share one plate for two (portions are huge)! Their shaken beef is also a fan favorite, but we can't pull ourselves away from the amazing Phô!! Service is GREAT, they are super friendly and you won't wait long for your food either. Plenty of seating and they won't forget your sitting there either - ambiance is also GREAT! ...be mindful, if you try to go in the beginning of the year, they're usually closed for some much needed time off for about three weeks in the first of each year. They deserve it!!!!

Yelp
This place was kind of a second option when we where looking for a good Pho place. The first option was closed on the day we went out looking for Pho. The restaurant was pretty roomy, but not very crowded. That should have been a good sign to not go in, but we decide to be venturous and give it a good Yelp try. The wait staff alright seemed to be in a hurry and no friendly recommendations, so we decide on a few things to try, but DON"T order anything on the menu that mark large and charge you more. It is just a bigger bowl and not more food. What a joke. The food came out just mediocre, not lived up to the location and the price is way out for a Pho restaurant. So maybe next time you are in Round Rock looking for a Pho place try Pho 521 or somewhere else. This is not the place.

Yelp
Through the years this has been my go to place for Pho, but something seems to have changed. The service was still great, the restaurant was very clean, but my Pho wasn't special anymore . I always order the eye of round and brisket Pho and this time the brisket was really thick and tough. The broth also seemed off, bland and lacking flavor. I always add hoisin sauce and sriracha which helped but I was disappointed. The regular size is up to $14.95, which isn't a huge deal but due to the aforementioned issues, the value wasn't there. I hope this was just an off day but I may not be going back for a while.

Yelp
Love this place!! They have the best spring rolls I've ever tasted, hands down. Great flavor to their chicken in the vermicelli. Fresh food and fast. Very nice people, too.

Yelp
First time trying Pho in Austin! We started with chicken spring rolls, which were incredible. The sauce that came with them was bursting with flavor! You can always tell how good the Pho will be from the first sip of the broth, and this one was exceptional. The service was outstanding as well--friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience even better.

Yelp
This restaurant is one of the best Vietnamese places in Round Rock. Since I discovered them while living in Cedar Park and would drive there regularly, I guess I could say they are one of the best in the area in my opinion. Their are dishes here that most other Pho restaurants don't have such as the appetizer nem nuong com (grilled pork patty spring roll) appetizer, the clay pot dishes along with the banh xeo (Vietnamese crepes) which are not an egg crepe but made with flour, liquid and spices). All of these dishes are DELICIOUS and I have so many more to try. The staff is nice and efficient. I like that the restaurant is fairly quiet, no kitchen noise or blasting TVs which allows for conversation without straining to hear your meal companions. The food quality is very good and I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a delicious meal.

Yelp
Good place for Bahn mi! Also very good Vietnamese iced coffee and vermicelli beef bowls. My daughter likes the pho.

Yelp
Very friendly and professional service. I've ordered to go about 5 times now, the same dish, item B3 (Grilled Pork, spring roll, and shrimp vermicelli). This just happens to be my favorite dish, so I feel like I can't get tired of it. The food has been consistently excellent, and flavorful. The ambience is very calm and relaxed, with gentle music playing softly in the background. I will update this review after I get to come back with my family, so that I can see how they all experience it. I'm certain they won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This has been our family's go to spot for pho but we haven't been here since before the summer... and I must say the pho broth was disappointing tonight. It lacked depth of flavor... it was pretty bland even with squirting in a bunch of the off-brand sirachi they have on the tables now (the rooster bottle sirachi with the green cap is the only legit sirachi). They were very generous with the meat and noodles AND on the plus, the meat was cut to smaller more manageable bite size pieces which I appreciated. My hubby ordered the chicken vermicelli bowl and it came out with pork. He said it was okay. We ordered egg rolls for my son and those were good... consistent as always. We did feel a little rushed to order (the place was not busy...) and then it's a little bit of a pet peeve of mine when the check is brought out or the table starts to get cleared while we're still eating (both of which happened tonight). After she ran my card, our server brought me the check for my signature/tip and asked if I didn't like the pho. So I politely explained that I thought the broth was a little bland and asked if something had changed... she said no and said maybe it was because I added so much sirachi! Adding more sirachi should've made it saltier and spicier... I did let her know how I liked the amount of meat they included. I'm curious to know what other people's experiences more recently have been because the last review I read was 2 months old. Hopefully if we go back it's better next time.

Yelp
This is our go to spot for butter chicken and shrimp fried rice! It's mouthwatering goodness! We typically stop in at least once every couple of months because believe me you'll crave it after having it just once. It does take about 20 minutes to make the butter chicken. So, go with good company. We go mostly on week days when they're not that busy. Sometimes they'll direct you to an area to sit and other times , mainly during their slow hours, you can sit wherever you would like. The servers are always accommodating but not overly intrusive. The restaurant is like most Vietnamese restaurants quiet and not overly stated. Parking is very easy as their lot is connected to the H‑E‑B and other various shops.

Yelp
I would give them a 3.75 so rounding to 4. Here's why they lose stars:: (1) Their grilled pork for the bun bowls isn't charred like it should be. It's tasty but it lacks that classic grilled pork char. (2) They wouldn't do a kids meal to go. They wanted me to order a regular portion. My kid is small and can't even finish the kid bowl. I requested they just put the kid portion in any to go container and they said they wouldn't. I ended up ordering the adult portion and eating pho even though I didn't want pho so my kid could eat the soup he wanted and the rest didn't go to waste. It's a bad policy in my opinion. The food was tasty and seemed fresh. The prices were reasonable and they were very fast so I'm comfortable with my 4 star review. We have eaten at Pho Viet since Kevin opened many years ago. It is no longer owned by him, but I think it's still the same family. I will continue to support local.

Yelp
I eat more pho than the average Vietnamese person. No really, I do. Anyway, I got bun bo hue and introduced the boy to banh xeo. Both were good and came out quickly. He ate his entire crepe plus 2 apps. Very attentive waitstaff. Flavorful broth. Nice find in RR. We will be back.

Reggie S.

Yelp
The waiter had one glove that he cleans the tables with a spray bottle and towel, he brings out food and drinks with same glove on. I sure this is Contaminating all over everything. Will not be going back.

Yelp
Last night, I placed an order to-go at 6:39 PM and was given a wait time of 15 minutes. I ordered the Beef fried rice and the Canh Chua Tom Nau Thom ($35.75). Canh Chua Tom Nau Thom- Vietnamese sweet and sour soup (canh chua) is an example of everything that is great about Vietnamese cooking. It uses a variety of fresh vegetables and herbs to produce a soup of contrasting yet complementary textures and flavors. Canh chua is a traditional Vietnamese home cooked soup that perfectly encompasses the delicate balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy, all in one bowl. You can have this soup on its own to warm you up on a chilly day or have it with steamed rice and other side dishes for a heartier meal. I had this soup with a smidge of rice. The amount of tamarind pulp in this dish was ideal. It provided the right amount of tartness to the soup. The manner in which this soup is prepared here is authentic and the best version I have had of this outside Da Nang. Cơm Rang Thịt Bò- This dish was outstanding! The rice was creamy and not dense. The way this was prepared had more of a Saigon influence as opposed to somewhere like Hanoi, where the fried rice has more of a pickled mustard green taste. #supportlocal

Yelp
This place has some amazing food options, lots to pick from. I personally tried a new options and it did not disappoint! The wait staff is nice and very helpful if you need suggestions. My only issue is it was hot inside and with tons of bodies inside and the big windows it didn't help. It did make it a tad harder to eat since it was so hot. But my overall experience was good.
google avatar

Cierra E.

Yelp
They were very welcoming and patient as I took a long time to review the menu options. I chose their egg rolls and beef clay pot with an egg

Jani H.

Yelp
Food is excellent. One of the best in the greater Austin area, best in Round Rock as far as I'm concerned, and I've tried a lot of Vietnamese from Hawaii to NY. Service is fine, nothing to jump up and down about but I go for the food

Yelp
SO disappointed Chicken and shrimp stir fry - Both were DRY AND TOUGH had obviously been sitting there for hours before added to our take out order TOTAL YUCK!!

Yelp
Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 5/10 Chicken pho!!! All the way! The staff is always so friendly and the pho is the best all year round.

Yelp
The Pho is amazing. Fresh. The combo fried rice was amazing as well. Very nice atmosphere and great service. Will continue coming here.

Yelp
We been coming here quite a bit and we definitely love the pork spring rolls. We tried both pork and shrimp and we personally love the pork one more. The pork were marinade and that makes it flavorful. We also switched it up with the Nam nueng Cuon and the crunchy egg rolls wrap that they put in gave a fun kick to it. It is very much similar to the pork spring rolls even with different dipping sauce. But for extra $2 I would go with the spring rolls. But both were good!!! You will jot regret it. We also love the shaken beef, it comes with rice and the flavor and texture were just perfect!!!
google avatar

Sasha K.

Yelp
Good and a large bowl of Pho! It tastes very authentic, and the broth is rich and amazingly tasty.

Yelp
First off wow, my husband and I have been trying to find a new favorite pho place since we moved here and I think this might just be our new place. I got the seafood crepe (amazing crunch and packed full of yumminess) I thought there were a bit too many sprouts in it but still yummy! Husband got the pho and the flavors hit the spot. Wasn't too oily, came with all the extras and the sauces were great too. We also got some spring rolls which were delicious as well!

Jon E.

Yelp
Old staple of the Round Rock community. Im glad to see they hung on through the pandemic. Definitely recommend giving them a shot and their lunch specials are fantastic. Service is great too! The only complaint is about how cold it can get in there in the winter. The doors at the front funnel in air and makes it particularly cold.
google avatar

Timothy E.

Yelp
Great tasting Vietnamese food in Round rock. The pho,egg rolls and shrimp fried rice was amazing. Hopefully the owners see this post

Yelp
Our go-to local Vietnamese restaurant. They have fast & friendly service, good food, and a huge menu including lots of vegetarian options. We generally split the fried tofu as an appetizer, and then each get a bowl of pho and leave stuffed. I think they've recently increased prices, which I totally understand, BUT the entrée prices seem exceptionally high to me. I think the fried tofu jumped $5! We'll have to ask if they can do half orders for the appetizer ;)

Yelp
I've dined here on 2 occasions now! Both times it was raining. something about the aroma of pot and rain just makes me nostalgic and comforted. Although, I ordered bun bo hue and my partner had shaken beef (no luc lac) over rice. The staff here is very friendly. They make you feel like a regular, even if you're not. They offer a community hand sanitizer jug at the front, socially distance the tables, and wear masks. I really enjoyed my bbh although it wasn't delicious enough to order repeatedly. I want to try other items on their very extensive menu. I'm actually very impressed with the amount of items they offer. Will absolutely be back!

Justin H.

Yelp
Got the B8. It was very average and flavorless. I had to dump soy sauce and siracha on it to make it edible. Also the prices aren't $10.95 a plate like some of these YELP photos show. I paid $17 for that bowl of flavorless noodles and veggies. Over hyped place in Texas. Idk maybe I'm just spoiled with good Asian food from the city.

Briana V.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! I will definitely be a regular here. Bonus points for super quick service
google avatar

Bob P.

Yelp
Friendly staff and awesome food. The shaken beef was fantastic. Same for the spring rolls.

Yelp
Fast and friendly service. Their Shaken Beef is fantastic. Must Try if you live in Round Rock!

Yelp
I was looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant with dine-in during COVID19 and came upon this place. First impression, they did an excellent job with the seating arrangements to separate the customers. All of the staff wore face masks and gloves, so I felt safe dining in. The service was excellent. However, I did not enjoy the food so much. I ordered the Pho Thi (Eye Round Steak Pho), a Seafood Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Crepe) and the Buttered Chicken Wings. Two of the three dishes I ordered were not so great. For the Pho, it was not "hot" temperature wise, the taste was not there, the broth was bland, and the noodles were not soft. The Banh Xeo was bland as well. As far as the taste and texture, it was like a thin egg omelet, so not a crepe at all. Also, the fish sauce that came with it was pretty watered down. The only thing I liked was the Buttered Chicken Wings, so I would recommend getting this dish if you come here. The wings had great flavors, and they were crispy. Overall, I wanted to like it here, but I did not enjoy the food so much. If I come back, I would try some of their other items on the menu as I think they might have some good stir-fried dishes.

Charity S.

Yelp
Amazing phô!! So delicious, consistent and great for rainy days! Highly recommend, plus their fried rice dish is wonderful!

Yelp
Pho Viet is definitely our go to for pretty outstanding Viet food. We usually get the Dinner for 2. In the Dinner for 2, you get Canh Chua, Shaken Beef and we substitute the catfish for calamari for a little extra charge. The Canh Chua is such a flavorful dish to start out. The sourness and sweetness combined with the fish makes this dish so delicious. The Shaken Beef also packs so much flavor, it is my favorite of the 3. The beef is as tender as can be. My wife enjoys the Fried Calamari the most. It is crispy and comes with its own sauce. We never finish the Dinner for 2 and always come home with leftovers. The waitstaff is friendly, polite and attentive. One thing worth mentioning is that Pho Viet does not take AMEX. I always pull my AMEX card since I use it for everything. Now I just make sure I carry an extra Visa or Mastercard in my wallet.

Yelp
Long story short: I'm a fan! I ordered their pho and tofu clay pot for pickup via their website. The meats, veggies, noodles and broth for the pho were packed safely and survived the trip home. The broth was piping hot, but I still warmed it up some more at home to ensure the noodles reached the tenderness I would have had in the restaurant. The portions were sizable and fair, meat was good quality! As for the tofu clay pot, it came with tasty tofu and mushroom marinating a bed of rice. The rice has a little more *chew* but in a very pleasant way as you'd expect with a clay pot dish. All of the food was ready within 15-20 min of my ordering time allowing me to pick it up fresh and ready immediately upon arrival. I will definitey be back!

Yelp
I tried this place a second time, but ordered the pho. It was tasty and loaded with meat. Update: Today I opted to try the beef and shrimp vermicelli bowl. Wow, the portion was big and i wasn't able to finish. The flavors were delicious I do however wish it came with more sauce. But you can always ask for more. I also ordered the shrimp spring rolls, it was very fresh and full of veggies and sh Service was quick, we were a party of 7. They did not have any problems getting us seated. The food came out fast as well, so if your in a quick hurry this would be a good place. Update: 9/21 Back for lunch, we were a large party again. Just like last time they were able to seat us right away. This is such a great place for a small group. I ordered the #9 pho and shrimp spring rolls. They were both so tasty. Pho is served with a side of bean sprouts, lime wedges and Thai basil. On the table already they have garlic chili oil, siracha and boson sauce.

Yelp
Excellent service! Walked in and was immediately greeted by a friendly waitress. Lunchtime is definitely crowded, and it's a diverse crowd. I've been at Fort Hood, working for a month, and have been dying for Pho. I yelped all over and found Pho Viet in Round Rock . Stopped by since I was in town anyway. The broth was savory and yummy. Brisket was tender and in just the right amount. I ordered the Pho Chin Bo Vien, which included the brisket and beef balls. For the first time, I literally almost finished the entire bowl, which I never do. Kept sipping the broth nonstop. Their other popular dish is the shaken beef. Would love to try that next time. Won't be fortunate enough to eat pho anytime I want for the next year. So glad this was my last bowl of pho for 2019!
google avatar

Vivian F.

Yelp
Prime location for a quick Viet fix. Eggrolls were huge - worth the $5 price tag. Pho and BBH were both on the pricier side but the broth was warm and comforting. My only feedback is the pho noodles were overcooked and soggy vs. al dente.

Jeff L.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Anytime we ask the kids where they want to eat they say Pho Viet.
google avatar

M L.

Yelp
Fantastic restaurant! Glad we found it. We ordered Pho, Bun Ga Nuong, Spaghetti Garlic Noodles and Com Bo Luc Lac. All were amazingly delicious! It is very rare that my whole family loved all the dishes. Prices are a higher than Houston's Vietnamese restaurants though.

Yelp
Talk about fast service. I went here with a group of four on a Sunday evening. We ordered our food, and I kid you not we got our food in less than 3 minutes. I was super shocked by this. And all the bowls were steaming hot. Not sure what they do back there. But geez it was faster than fast food. The prices are decent. The pho bowls were big. I was the only one who didn't get pho because their vegetable pho still has beef broth in it. Which is a downer. I hope you guys consider vegetable broth soon. I honestly didn't enjoy my mean. I ordered the tofu clay pot and it was...underwhelming to put nicely. I tried to put different sauces on it to make it taste somewhat good. And eh I honestly just gave up on it. I personally didn't like that when I asked for a to go box the server pointed his finger inside of my bowl with food very much still in it. I took it home to try to add something to it and that didn't work either so most of it ended up in the trash. But everyone else really enjoyed their food. The pho itself was good and the workers inside were nice.

Yelp
Covid update: They have inside and outside dinning, all employees are wearing face coverings, and tables are social distanced. They were very quick to let us know we could pick a table and were immediately there to take out drink order. I feel with Dell and other businesses near they have to be fast. I ordered my "regular" soup, which looked to come in half a basketball! I'd hate to see what a large looks like. I couldn't finish which was just as well because I had cake for dessert. From the time we ordered to the time it came to the table was, maybe 5 minutes, but I feel it was faster. I didn't time it so I don't know 100%. This wasn't my first time here, it won't be my last, and it never disappoints!
google avatar

Melynda S.

Yelp
Wow. This was amazing. I lived in China for awhile and enjoy Asian food but hadn't tried Pho before. I tried it a couple weeks ago somewhere else and was disappointed in the lack of flavor. We came here and we're not disappointed! Due to less people there, we not only got seated immediately, but after ordering we got our dishes FAST, and piping hot; like 2-3 minutes fast (not exaggerating. We were pretty shocked but pleased). We ordered the eye round steak and brisket pho. The flavors were amazing; the broth is my favorite and I would it alone as a soup too. The steak was cut fresh as it finished cooking in our bowls, and the green onion, what tasted like mint, cilantro, and sprouts make each bite taste so fresh and interesting. Our seater and server was very polite the whole time. We had tons of leftovers (servings were huge) and he poured them into take-home containers for us. We are definitely coming back to try more.
google avatar

Jia W.

Yelp
The service is very attentive and friendly but the restaurant has a weird unpleasant smell around:( hate to say this. The dishes are both okay. Seafood omelette is an interesting try with lots of vegetables, tho a bit oily. Shaking beef sounds interesting as well. They have lots of different options, other than pho.
google avatar

Tamara D.

Yelp
We have been eating here for many years. The food is hot, fresh and delicious. They have the best egg rolls around. We always order two servings for a total of four. The pho is so large I always take some to go for a late night snack.

Yelp
Amazing service, clean restaurant, great food. Definitely give it a try if you like vietnamese food

Yelp
Food was great! My husband and I split pho and a vermicelli bowl and it was wonderful. Super kid friendly as well and the staff was so nice. My 1 year old LOVED the vermicelli and had a great time eating it... the staff was so happy he liked it and told us not to worry about cleaning up at all. Super friendly and the food is excellent. We will be back!!!

Yelp
Amazing Vietnamese restaurant with great service. Honestly one of the best viet places in the north Austin area. Highly recommend really anything! I've had the pho, banh xeo, goi cuons, wonton soup and shaking beef.
