Pho Vietnam Anglická - Authentic Vietnamese restaurant

This was the first meal of my 3 day trip in Prague, and it was so good that I made sure to come back for my last meal here as well. Not exaggerating when I say this is the best Vietnamese food I've had anywhere around the world (though I haven't been to Vietnam yet).

Friendly staff and good food here. Mango salad a bit too sweet for our taste more towards sourness and chili would make it 5/5 👌🏻 Pho was good.

Really glad I found this place below Náměstí Míru. It’s a quiet little gem with tasty food and very reasonable prices. The staff makes you feel right at home. Definitely check it out if you fancy some Vietnamese food

Amazing. Our best find in Prague. Food was delicious, full of flavour and staff were so friendly. I’m a fussy eater and this place was a big hit.

The Pho here is so good 😭 probably the best Pho we ever had in Europe so far!!! The tea is so refreshing too.

Really delicious and authentic Vietnamese dishes. This restaurant has a warm atmosphere and a big space. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to try treat their tastebuds with Vietnamese flavors.

OMGGG! Food here is phenomenal!!!! Order Bun Cha & Mango Salad; your tastebuds will thank you!! Service & atmosphere are fantastic, even for date night or group dinners. But the food is the real attraction. I have had Bun Cha in many corners of the world and this absolutely takes the cake! Same with the salad. Please do not let your kitchen staff get away, they are very talented! We will surely be back at the very next opportunity.

Good food, and VERY nice staff. Very polite and friendly. It was really an really calm ambiance, but I can imagine that it can gets busy from time to time. VERY NICE

It's not like Prague is known for Asian food, but this Vietnamese spot is great! They're located in a basement so you'll have to descend a very well decorated stair case to reach them. Once you do, the food at this spacious restaurant will really hit that craving. The pork was perfectly seared. The noodles perfectly cooked. The sauces were good, but don't be intimidated by the spicy warnings because they're aren't actually spicy. The restrooms are clean and staff does speak English.

This is a hard review to write because the food and service here are good but nothing out of the ballpark. It was a rainy day and really needed a pho fix (we are from California). We purposely went out of our way to find this pho place given its high overall ratings. They have a limited menu of Pho (only chicken and beef) a total of 3 soups to pick from. They also had plates & apps. Overall the pho was ok! The broth can be a little weak but the meat and noodles were fine. They also added the bean sprouts and onions into the mix for you so it really only comes with a side of lemon and garlic. If you're expecting the best pho this isn't it but it does hit the spot and service is great

I am Vietnames and I traveled from Los Angeles, so my expectations for Pho was pretty high. However, I still liked the Pho here. I thought the taste was very authentic. It was northern-Vietnamese-styled Pho. The broth was flavorful, and the noodles were fresh. However, since I had really good beef in the U.S, I thought the beef pieces here were too thin and tough - similar to beef in Pho in Vietnam lol. Anyways, the impression was still positive. This restaurant was located downstairs, and it was almost a self-serve restaurant - you order at the counter and self your own condiments. I also got a Vietnamese coffee here, and it was a-okay.

The atmosphere is nice and cozy, I dined by myself, but the pho... was delicious. And so flavorful. The Limetka was that perfect refreshing lime taste to reset the palate before another spoonful.

Pho lacked flavor. No traditional Asian soup spoon. Water is poured from tap and served in a bottle that is a ready opened. Would pass on this place.

I was surprised to find out that Vietnamese was good in Prague on my trip with my friend so we decided to come here. It did not disappoint. It's so hard to find good Vietnamese food back home, so this definitely hit the spot. There are no english menus, so we both got a pho with medium rare beef. The broth was so flavorful, and the noodles were great.

Really good Vietnamese food that's slightly fusion in a good way. It's not a fancy place nor do they have English menus. Just go with what they recommend and you'll be happy. In fact you order at the counter and find your own seat.

It's funny. Sometimes you don't have any expectations at all, and you're just blown away. This happened to me at Pho Vietnam. My friends and I were so hungry after flying in from Norway an early morning late in December. We figured this was an okay spot to eat lunch before we started exploring town. Little did we know that this would be our favorite restaurant in Prague. At first, I thought I would have an issue ordering gluten free food. Naively, I tried to ask about gluten in english, which the staff off course did not understand a single word of. I then tried to show them a translation in czech - which also proved to be a mistake, and they still didn't get a single word. But then it occurred to me - what if I show them the translation in vietnamese? I tell you - always bring the gluten free translation app - it works wonders every time. i was told I could eat almost everything, and they would make sure it was gluten free for me. Oh joy! I ordered a chicken pho, at it was every bit as delicious as it should be! I am dreaming of eating more of it as I am writing this! Broth full of taste, crisp warm onions and vegetables and tender chicken filet on a nest of perfectly cooked rice noodles - yummy! needless to say - we ate breakfast/lunch here as many days as we could. Unfortunately they were closed over the new years, so we didn't get to visit as many times as we wanted to. But oh well. Next time I'm in Prague - I will eat here every day!

Finding Vietnamese food in an European city is always weird. At least in my head, since I always forget how many people immigrated here. Comparing to the American-style Vietnamese food, this place is manned by Vietnamese people and tasted more authentic. For starters, the pho broth is flavorful and the noodles are not clumped together. They have a chili pepper bar where you can collect your favorite kinds of spice to dump into your soup, including fresh Thai chiles. Be warned that they don't speak English very well. We have one Vietnamese speaker amongst us and she ordered for all of us. This is still a far cry from the average place in Vietnam, but nothing beats a steaming bowl of soup of familiarity in an unfamiliar city.

Affordable and good Pho in Prague. They now accept CREDIT CARDs for payments (including AMEX).

Authentic Vietnamese at an affordable price - a first for me since I left LA. 10/10 would come back again. Price: it was about $10 USD which is pricier than some other Vietnamese options, but the portion makes up for it. Food: We had a late dinner and came right before closing so we had to take the food to-go, but the food was still prepared fresh and tasted like we dined in. My friends loved their pho. The spring roll was also fantastic and fatter than most rolls, though heavy on the oil. Downside: CASH ONLY. They also charge an additional 10czk for the take-out box itself, which was annoying if you come in late since take-out is the only option at that point.

Sorry this place is just not that great. 4 stars? This place wouldn't even make it in California as anything but average at best. Weak selection, no side vegetables, and bad service. The pho itself: Broth average to slightly above average. Noodles average. Beef average to below average in taste. But average pho wouldn't warrant a bad review. This review is because of the service. We went in at 9pm and they were already cleaning up the place (it closes at 10) and basically ignored us for a few minutes before someone said we have to order at the counter. Then me and my buddy were essentially ripped off. We ordered the spring rolls which the picture shows 4 but instead we got only 1. It was towards the end of the night so I suspect they ran out of them but they still charged us full price. It was only about $1 so we didn't bother fighting it too much but if there's one thing I hate, it's false advertisement. Anyways if you're from Prague maybe you will like it but if you've had any decent pho this place is not that great. Read the newer reviews, which seem to be more tourist who've eaten pho before.

I give this three stars because the price was cheap but the pho was simply not that good. The portion size was fairly nice, but the broth was oily and bland, I couldn't taste how it was a "beef broth". The noodles were quite soft and overall as a dish it lacked flavor. Would not recommend if you like traditional pho.

This is probably my favorite Pho Noodle in Prague the broth is so good , the prize reasonable. Flavors on point better than the Bay !

[OVERALL] The food is okay at best. It's super cheap, but that reflects in the quality of food. They also only take cash. Food comes out pretty quickly. The inside is quite big and seats a lot of people. It's not a bad place to go if you just want cheap and filling food, but I don't think I'd go back. [FOOD] #8 Fried Spring Rolls: These were decent. The rolls were crispy, but they didn't have much flavor. #18 Fried Beef and Pineapple with Rice: The rice was dry, and the beef is more like small little bits of fried ground beef. It doesn't have much flavor at all and was overall very heavy.

This was poor Vietnamese, not sure how the reviews are good. My group is very familiar with Vietnamese and no one was happy after this meal. Very subpar. Avoid if you've ever been to Vietnam or had good Vietnamese before, you will regret it

DO NOT EAT HERE. yesterday i went here and my friend ordered meals for both him and i. they wrote down the wrong orders... we ordered two orders of number 12 but they wrote down that we wanted 2 orders of number 22. the lady at the counter argued with us when they brought out the wrong food and told us there was nothing she could do about it since the food had already been prepared. she was extremely rude and over and over kept refusing to bring out the right meals for us. eventually she just started ignoring us so i told my friend to demand his money back. she refused this as well. finally, she realized we werent leaving until we either got the right meals or got our money back so she (reluctantly) agreed to make us the meals we had actually ordered. i cannot stress enough how unbelievably rude the staff was. they made the mistake and then refused to fix it. there was not even an apology. i never write reviews even after bad service but this was such a bad experience that i would like to spread the word. maybe you shouldn't open a restaurant if you don't even know how to treat a customer/human properly? just a suggestion. the food wasn't bad but they don't deserve your service. there's lots of options for vietnamese food in prague- don't waste your time/money here.

Not impressed with this place at all. It was my first time trying pho and I definitely won't be trying it again. I had number 4 on the menu (chicken and pork meatballs with bamboo shoots and rice noodles) and it was so bad I literally couldn't eat it. The broth itself tasted of nothing but had this really horrible smell, the chicken tasted of nothing and the 'meatballs' were just round chunks of what looked like some really cheap nasty pork. I asked them if they could change it for something else and they said no but they did give me a free spring roll which was really yummy so that's something. They don't have ice and their fridge isn't very cold either so be prepared for some room temperature drinks. It's a shame because the restaurant looks really nice, the food and drinks just don't match the standard of the decor.

A friend and I visited for lunch on a Saturday. It was surprisingly pretty packed. She told me that Vietnamese food had gotten pretty popular in Prague which is cool, but I noticed that most of the people were not having pho. Instead, it was mostly fried rice & other dishes that are similar to Chinese food. The pho was decent and had pretty good flavor. I found it odd that they didn't have hoisin sauce though. Maybe they just didn't understand me but they did have Sriracha sauce by Huy Fong (Rooster sauce). We also got the spring rolls were decent too.

Dissappointing. My host recommended it but this pho lacked a lot of flavor. I know it's not fair to compare it to pho that I had last month in Vietnam, but it lacks so much. I would say just skip on this pho and eat local cusine. Definitely didn't fill my pho void.

Basic vietnamese food that's good in a pinch. The pho broth was a bit salty. The goi cuon are a nice snack and great to take to go for another meal as they keep really well.

Delicious!! I had the beef pho-- the broth was excellent and the beef was good as well. Decently cheap... All the pho dishes are 99 ck. Also tried the fried spring roll which comes with a nice dipping sauce. They also do takeout.

I love me some pho, and this wasn't bad at all. Simple to order. Place is underneath the building. They don't give you limes or the liberty of putting your own vegetables in the soup, but they had a great balance in each bowl. I've eaten great, authentic Vietnamese pho in California, so I know what authentic pho tastes like. That was an America-is-arrogant American joke. This place is dope, and I would compare it with most Pho places I'll come by. It's not ratchet, it's delicious.

Really good pho. Summer rolls were good too. The service was really nice, they guys explained us he process in English as we were new. The place is interesting , it's one floor below street level, decor from previous restaurant maybe? There is ambient music which is not intruding, but calming.

When in Prague, if you miss good Asian food, come here to get a hearty bowl of pho! And that is what we did. The pho they serve here is northern Vietnamese style (meat is often cooked), the soup is very flavorful, and the portion is large! It was quite easy with the service and staff was helpful! We will come back when we are in Prague again!

Very great Vietnamese food, the Pho Ga has a good chicken broth. A little salty at the end. You can add all the spices, peppers, and sriracha you want! I thought the spring rolls were good too.

Tasty food, calm and pleasant surroundings. The staff speak English, though there is no menu in English and they have to guide you through finding a good match. Spring rolls were quite tasty, so was the hovezi pak choi and hovezi fazolkami! The main courses could have had more flavour though, and more variation in vegetables. Reasonable price.

Super cool, cheap and clean Vietnamese fast food place. You can only order food at the counter, the queue usually goes pretty fast, and the food is prepared quickly. The choice of meals is very typical for a Vietnamese place and the dishes are quite tasty. Usually there are a lot of people, especially during lunch time, but we always managed to get a table. Definitely an interesting experience.

They wrote my order down wrong, refused to make me the food I ordered and paid for, then refused to give me my money back. Just don't go here, they don't value their customers and treat you very poorly. Also they very clearly misrepresent menu items.. When you order spring rolls (emphasis on rolls being plural) you only get one. The picture on the menu shows a plate of 5 spring rolls and sauce but you only get one and have to pay extra for the sauce.

Solid Pho place. Strong flavor of Pho Bo. Only tried the Pho bo. Only had the red sauce and no brown sauce. Good value for good food.

This place was fast and food was good too. I had the chicken pho. Wished I could've ordered and extra large bowl. Hot and is just all around great comfort food. I wish they had hoisin sauce and lemon on the side.

Needed Pho after late nights, and due to it being Sunday, only limited places were open. The soup was on the average side, but the store was quite filthy...

I was craving Vietnamese and found this, the environment is a bit dark however the food was nice. Price was reasonable also. Good for s quick bite to eat!

Not exactly the most friendly staff. Stood at the entrance and staff stared at us. Finally walked up to the counter of a dimly lit environment. Staff stared at us without any greeting. Pho was average, portions were small but at the same time not expensive.

I love this Vietnamese place, super quick,,friendly,, usually packed,, artsy, stylish interior,, easy ala carte ordering,, and most important,,delicious pho ga bursting with gobs of chicken essence and noodles,,and giant fried dumplings full of meat and veg and noodles. I always want to try some of the other menu items but I usually crave the basics and they do em well here for $4,,,,,,,,,,$4 for awesome quick pho!

So cheap - and delicious! If you're looking for a place to get a large meal for little money - this is the place. Sadly the restaurant itself is located in a dark basement, which I found rather frustrating due to the fact that the weather was perfect for dining outside.

Agree with the previous reviewer... Would I recommend - no Would I return - no Not even close to OK. Food quality not good. The springrolls were dripping of oil and probably been standing for hours. PHo was below average. not all ingredients were there.
