Phoebe's Diner

A wonderful breakfast/brunch/lunch place. They feature wonderful twists on classic American and Southern breakfast favorites. This is a great place fore comfort food or a filling breakfast. The service is friendly and attentive and the food is delicious. If you are a grits lover you really need to try their goat cheese grits, so creamy! Everyone should have their fried French toast at least once. Don't forget to have the berries with it! Also they have things on the menu that you might not expect for a diner-ish brunch spot, like Thai tea. Explore the menu. There really is something here for everyone, even a brisket Benedict that features biscuits instead of English muffins. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!

We were in Austing for Thanksgiving and our kids took us to Phoebe's. The food was amazing and for a great value! The restaurant was decorated very farmhouse/modern. They offer a full bar and lots of menu options. We had a variety of options and they were all fantastic! All of our plates were empty! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

There's good and bad. The pancakes I had were great with lots of blueberries, very well cooked and lovely fruit. The BBQ platter was too dry for me, I couldn't get through it and couldn't manage more than a few bites before I gave up. However, the manager was extremely kind when she asked me if I wanted a box and she took care of it for me, so I would definitely come back to try other things!

I’m not really a breakfast person but this place does it right!!! Wonderful selections that give you as many savory choices as it does sweet. Loved everything I got! The lemon curd yogurt was pretty nice. If you want eggs, order the Migas!! Accommodating as well if you need something customized a certain way. While we were eating I had made a funny face without realizing it and the owner/manager was passing by and immediately checked in and asked if the food was okay and asked if the coffee was hot enough. She did this while running around doing a million other things. So attentive and in tune and I love to see it. Will definitely be back! TLDR: get the biscuits.

The food here is amazing. Must try the cornbread muffins! Good balance between portions vs cost with excellent taste. They did a great job accommodating changes to the order. I got the BTS Omelette with brisket and hatch chilies. They even provided a refill on OJ with no extra cost! The only negative is that it was a bit loud inside. Will definitely go again. Highly recommended!

Yea, Phoebe's missed the flavorful, seasoned food for a fair price mark. $5.50 for a "thick" slice of bacon is ridiculous. The grits taste like weeks old sour milk regurgitated by a baby into a bowl (salt and pepper did not help). The biscuits were burnt black and not biscuits but more like sad defeated bread, as if it fought for better flavor and to be circular like other biscuits, but just did not have the right recipe for success bc all the ingredients were missing, including flavor. Overall, it's open early on Sundays, and if they remember to bring food and drinks to your table, you'll be able to drink them! Not a bad place, possibly better when it's not busy. THE STAFF MANAGER WAS GREAT! ALL OF THE STAFF WERE REALLY NICE! Loves the plants! Ratings: Food: 2 out of 5, seasoning would greatly improve this rating. Allergy accommodations: 3.5 out of 5 they do acknowledge food allergies and are willing to remake food if notes are missed and/or food comes out incorrect.

I had breakfast here with a friend and ordered the Chorizo Hash and Phoebe’s Benedict along with coffee. The atmosphere was nice, but the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. The Chorizo Hash came with sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes, and the chorizo seemed ground, which was fine at first but became a bit overwhelming after a while. Typically, a dish like this would come with toast on the side, but that wasn’t included here. My friend had the Benedict, which came with a buttermilk biscuit. It had a bit of sweetness to it, but the biscuit was too crumbly, making it difficult to eat. The Benedict itself was quite simple, and the potatoes lacked flavor. The coffee had a strong bitter note, and while the meal wasn’t terrible, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me overall.

Came here on a busy day but we did not wait. They have plenty of seating and the server was very attentive. Everything came out quick and delicious but my only complaint was that the asparagus that was given to me here were so small, I was so sad because I loved them when I went to the Oltorf location because they were huge and delicious so I was looking forward to these but I was disappointed. Other than that food was delicious and service was great !

It is a little out of our way but worth the turnaround! Great selection of brunch and lunch options. The brightness of the restaurant is a welcome change from the dark dinners I've been to

When I discovered a childhood friend had moved to Austin, we wanted to meet up, and I knew I had to take her somewhere good! So... I chose Phoebe's Diner! Sure enough, it was a hit! When I arrived, I was somewhat surprised to find they now offer complementary valet parking, but also not surprised, because their parking lot is a little small. We went somewhat early on a Sunday (11 am) and had a short wait to get a table inside. We were quoted 10 minutes, and after about 15 minutes I decided to check and see what was up. My phone number was put in wrong into the waitlist system, so as soon as we discovered that, the hosts sat us immediately. Fortunately we were talking so hard we barely noticed the time passing. I had no idea what this friend's dietary habits are like these days, but fortunately we both eat just about anything, in moderation. We both wanted something sweet, but also didn't want to go overboard on the sugar, so we decided to split one sweet and one savory dish. She picked out the Bananas Foster French Toast and I picked out the Baked Eggs. I'd tried the Baked Eggs before and loved them. It's somewhat like a shakshuka, swimming in a tomato, pepper, onion, and mushroom sauce, topped with something creamy. It's a good way to get some veggies and protein in, early in the day. Everything was as good as expected! Our server quickly provided extra plates so we could share (like I said, we hadn't seen each other in half a lifetime so eating off the same plate would be a little forward.) When I left, the valet helped me find my car. Of course, I remembered nothing is free, and I tipped him. It made me wonder if they had some part of the lot that wasn't valet, or if we're all supposed to go through the valet service. It looked like my friend parked farther away in a non-valet area, but I don't know if she accidentally or "accidentally" broke the rules? Next time I'll do a little more research. Based on all my good experiences with Phoebe's, I'll keep recommending them for any future brunches I want to plan!

Phoebe's Diner is an excellent spot for brunch in Austin! There's new dishes I've never had and classic dishes with a little bit of a twist. I ended up getting the nitro-chata - it was good but it was a smaller portion than what I'd pay for at a coffee shop. I also ordered the burrata omelette and a side of biscuits with the sage gravy. My husband ordered the migas and a side of buttermilk pancakes. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomach because we didn't even finish half our food before we were stuffed and took home the leftovers (no regrets at all though) Everything we ordered was delicious, my favorites being the burrata omelette and pancakes! The biscuits tasted even better the next day as it soaked up all the gravy. Even though the wait was ~45 minutes, it was really convenient to put our name on the wait-list so we only waited a few minutes when we got to the restaurant in person. I'd def recommend Phoebes Diner to anyone who wants to have a delicious, hearty brunch!

Place is busy on Sunday brunch time - good sign! Was able to grab a seat at their bar area so bypassed the wait line of folks. Christy welcomed me warmly and was able to order right away. The food is fresh and tasted delicious! Christy was extra sweet and exuded the heart of the place along with the rest of the team. The place is clean and it's really lively here :) Really enjoyed myself this time solo and look forward to bringing family and friends too.

Phoebe's dinner is a hidden gem. A friend and I decided to have lunch/brunch at the diner. Phoebe's is as the name implies a diner - warm & welcoming and a bit understated! Fortunately, we decided to meet at 11 am as shortly thereafter a plethora of diners flooded in. While there a good number of folks in the restaurant, the noise level was low making it very easy to converse. Gillian our server recommended the 4 most popular dishes based on our query. We decided to try the chicken biscuit, one of the four. My friend went with over easy eggs (as outlined in the menu) and I went with eggs whites (very easily accommodated at no additional cost.) OMG the chicken biscuit was a mountain of textures and flavors...all delightfully delicious!!! We also had a side of sage gravy and goat cheese grits. Every bite was uniquely flavored...an explosion of pleasure in your mouth!! We both agreed that we would return to try other dishes offered at the dinner. Run do not walk to Phoebe's diner!!!

Omg. First brunch in austin. The bloody marys were so good. Spicy was genuinely spicy. Of course, note my disclaimer. But its better than Orlando, where i live. My wife loved,loved,loved the fried green tomatoes . I loved the Cheeky Monkey, it was an upscale scotch egg with a savory sauce

We were here for a late breakfast. The food was fantastic. Oh my goodness, I never tasted slab bacon that was this good. Our waitress was perky and smiling even though she had to keep coming back to fill our coffee cups. The restaurant was clean and quite nice. We will be back next time we need breakfast in north Austin.

Phoebe's Diner has a great food selection and the service was fast. I had the fried chicken biscuit at brunch. The portion was large. The chicken was crispy and moist. The biscuit was fresh and soft. The potatoes were perfectly cooked. I enjoyed the salty and savory tastes but unfortunately couldn't finish the potatoes since the chicken and biscuit filled me up (not a bad thing). I would definitely return to try another meal at Phoebe's, maybe the chicken and grits!

Phoebe's is one of my go-to spots to take guests and friends, when they are in town visiting. This location is great for inside or outside seating. We had a dog with our group and we were easily set outside and they brought a bowl of water for her too. The food is always on point. The selection of food is unique and special, not just your typical breakfast food. We always start with the cornbread and the sides (butter and jam) to pair the cornbread with is so good. Their breakfast brisket burrito is absolutely amazing! Big enough for 2 people or to take home for leftovers. And the hash brown casserole comes with it is just as good, you have to try it! The bake eggs dish is a cool dish you don't expect, very good. Their drinks are great. And the decor inside is fun and cute.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday and was impressed by how quickly we got seats using the waitlist feature on Yelp- would recommend! For an appetizer we both tried the South First Tots (I thought it was excellent and very filling, with a little bit of heat from the jalapeños) As my main dish, I got the chorizo hash and swapped the meat out for brisket. The meal was very filling and flavors well balanced between the salty brisket, perfect over easy egg, sweet potatoes and guacamole. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak (gluten free option) and while it was tasty as well, the steak was cut a bit too thick for our liking and wasn't as conducive to being battered and fried IMO. Overall, both dishes were played very nicely. Overall ambiance was lively and while it could get a bit loud in there during peak brunch hour, it wasn't unbearable. Our server was very sweet and checked up on us throughout. For the price I feel like we got a lot of food for the price. Will visit again!

Restaurant was very clean and organized, loved how quick we got serviced and how the waitress was very attentive and helpful. Since we were on vacation and first timers the waitress gave her recommendations which were very delicious. Ordered the skillet tots with an egg on top as well as the french toast which was also a 10/10.

This review is 2 days late, due to family in town. We choose Phoebe's for breakfast Sunday morning. We beat the rush and were immediately seated. The menu was extensive. One thing I loved was that they offered an alternative to milk or half and half for coffee. They had an option for almond milk, which I loved. Secondly the offered Momo's for your michelada's, a delicious alternative to any for of tomato juice. If you haven't tried Momo's do yourself a favor and give it a whirl. As an appetizer, I ordered the fried green tomatoes. They were so good, actually some of the best I have ever had. Served with a buttermilk ranch dressing and some hot sauce, which tasted like an elite Frank's hot sauce, so yummy! I opted for the chicken fried steak covered in a deliciously, savory sage gravy. I was in heaven. It was served with grilled asparagus and red potatoes. The asparagus was out of this world. The only thing missing was a biscuit, which I am sure I could have ordered, but my eyes are usually much bigger than my stomach. The dish was absolutely amazing and so tasty. By this time the place was hopping and the line was out the door on this very chilly morning. Spencer was our waitperson and despite being busy, he stayed on top of our orders and made himself present on multiple occasions. As I mentioned above the menu at Phoebe's was extensive and I can't wait to go back and give others options. I kept eating my granddaughter's tater tots which were superb, so I will definitely have to get an order of those. You will not be disappointed, I promise!

Came here for a group brunch last weekend and overall had a great experience with the food, beverages, service, and overall ambiance! I normally pass by Phoebe's when driving from the Domain, and because of its location by a busy, traffic-ridden road, I never considered it as a place worth checking out. My sister was the one who suggested it after we decided to do a group lunch on a Sunday morning and wanted to pick a convenient location in North Austin. Getting a table at 9:30am was no issue. That's probably the sweet spot in regards to snagging a table during competitive weekend brunch hours. We were also able to eat outside, which was a refreshing change since the summer months in Austin prevent that from being an option! I got black coffee, which was pretty standard in regards to black coffee offerings from brunch spots. For my meal, I got the baked eggs which sounded intriguing, but it was actually more like a tomato soup with two poached eggs mixed in...the toast was nicely buttered and crunchy though! Our server was friendly and attentive, and overall, dining here was a pleasant experience!

The other location has been on my to visit list, and a random search of brunch spots nearby brought my attention here. On a December Friday around lunch, our party of 5 had no trouble getting a table. Pancakes, eggs, fruit- everything the kids wanted to eat. For the adults, brisket burrito and a classic eggs Benedict, plus some goat cheese grits because why not? The burrito and eggs Benedict were ok, and I liked the grits but they were hair very heavy. Not my favorite brunch food, but I had an out of town guest who was really interested in trying a couple of different dishes. The service, however, was really great. We had a few questions about the menu and all of that was answered very well!

There's always a wait here, but that's how most of Austin is and it usually indicates that the food is going to be very good. I tried the monthly special and the ribeye inside the omelette was excellent. The rest of the dish was just strange. Boursin cheese worked well with the meat, but I don't think it benefited from the Demi glacé at all. And the mashed potato? I'm not sure how that fits in but it was tasty. Weird but good. I think I would have preferred the whole thing to not be an omelette because it just didn't make sense while eating it. Separately everything had good flavor. Together it didn't. The restaurant was a regular diner and was clean and not too noisy. I think I'd come here again and try the chicken...

Awesome service pleasant helpdel server. The chicken fried steak was wonderful with the perfectly done asparagus and red potatoes. The original gravy had such more flavor than the gravy I was expecting. Smoked briscuit burrito rivaled the meats of the best BBQ smokehouse. Cocktails were flavorful. I liked the ambiance and retro/moder decor. My second time here and making this my new Sunday brunch routine!

We came across Phoebe's after looking for a brunch place on Yelp. It got great reviews and was only 6 minutes away from us so we gave it a shot. Like many yelpers have said, this place does not dissapoint! Service was great, friendly staff and the food is legit! We tried some pancakes with fresh fruit which were really good. Pancakes aren't those huge ones you see at some places.. they are properly sized and made well rather than huge and made wrong. We also tried a side of bacon which is slab style bacon and that too was good. The winner was the Migas which we all agreed took the best in show for today. Only took a star off because I never got a coffee refill.. childish I know but at breakfast it's sort of expected to get a refill of black coffee. Highly recommend going and trying this place.

Wow!! This is a MUST if you are in the area. The bacon was phenomenal. Thick, juicy and tasted/cooked perfectly. The food was ample, the potatoes on the side were incredible. Service was amazing. We got sat down in no time. I've been craving this place since we left! The omelet and food was just perfect!

Well, after a few visits since the opening this year, I'm bumping down to a solid 3.5 stars. There's plenty to like at Phoebe's but there are other brunch options in the area with better-prepared food at a better price-point and Phoebe's could improve along those lines. Things I like: - varied menu with something for every taste or health preference - the dining room & outdoor spaces are large enough that the wait is usually not bad - staff is friendly and responsive - that French Toast - decent enough brunch alcohol options for those who want that Things that annoy: - most menu items are over-the-top, over-seasoned, over-sauced calorie-bombs; so much cheese, salt, & grease - prices are high for breakfast basics - parking is tough during peak hours - aggressive birds nesting on the covered porch will attack you throughout your meal if you sit out there During my last visit, I was disappointed by the chile relleno that came with undisclosed (what appeared to be) Hot Cheeto coating. Why would you ruin a delicious, already spiced dish with that abomination? To make matters worse, the scrambled egg stuffing was overcooked to the texture of a shredded Croc (the shoe for Dads). With Taco Deli, Cafe Java, and Original Pancake House so close, I'll likely choose one of those over Phoebe's for my next family brunch outing.

I'm not sure how to put this politely, without coming off sounding as an entitled jerk. Well let's start off with the service, it was fast and friendly. The ambiance was that if any Sunday morning breakfast spot, busy & crowded. The main attraction was SUPPOSED to be the food.. Here's the back story, I was supposed to go to First Watch like I do every Sunday too have my Pancakes & eggs and bacon. This particular Sunday they were really busy so I decided to go to Phoebe's . Here are my issues with the food.. 1. The size of their Flap Jack's are smaller than McDonald's & Whataburger. 2. The Flap Jack's were not favorable at all.. The taste was between wet flour with a hint of dish washing detergent. I really mean that and I'm not trying to be sarcastic. 3. The pricing point.. Let's just say this I could have gotten bigger and better tasting pancakes and eggs at First Watch & Waffle House for less money. Overall I will give my breakfast experience 2 down. Next time I will wait instead of getting gouged for subpar food.

The service was excellent. The staff seated us quickly as soon as a booth was available. Food: * Cornbread: Delicious, with three different spreads that each brought out unique flavors. * Brisket Burrito: This one was a bit dry, so not our favorite. * Chorizo Hash: Absolutely loved it! The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors blended perfectly. * Maza Cakes: Tried these for the first time and highly recommend them. Overall, I'd definitely go back--especially to try their bananas French toast!

This time around I had the super crispy Fried Chicken Biscuit. Phenomenal! I declined the sweet pepper jam and did the sage gravy instead as pictured. Man was this good. Especially dipping the crisp new potatoes in that gravy! The yolks on the egg were bright orange which is evident of nutritious pasture eggs. Rich and delicious. My friend had the Phoebe's Benny and unfortunately the ham was like a piece of rubber. It was not even chewable. Seriously overcooked or just a really bad piece. Overall this restaurant is really good for homemade and unique recipes. It also has reasonably priced entrees except for the tiny glass $4.25 coffee drinks and one slab of bacon for $5.50 which is quite excessive.

The food is simply amazing! More impressive is the service. Staff is very nice and accommodating. Food came out SUPER-FAST! While I didn't partake in any of the beverages, the fact they have a full bar was a nice bonus - for me.

Needed breakfast while waiting for my sister to have surgery close by. Cool diner, arrived right after they opened so they were still warming up. Order coffee, OJ and breakfast. The coffee flavor was bitter but loved that they offer cream that you pour and not in those plastic containers. I think it's time to clean their coffee makers. Ordered eggs-scrambled, slab bacon with cheesy hash-browns and toast. The eggs score a 1 star as they were cooked perfectly but the cook put so much pepper and salt in them that they were not edible. The bacon was super greasy and not warm. Ate a few bites, paid my $25 and left.

My awesome fellow teachers and I were all debating about the best casual brunch spots in Austin on Friday, and my offering was Jack Allen's! The hubby and I love that place! Somebody else mentioned Phoebe's Diner, and he said that you haven't lived if you haven't tried their Bananas Foster French Toast. I'm not much of a sweet brunch person, but my husband definitely is, so we're headed there on this Labor Day weekend Sunday to finally give Phoebe's a shot! Bonus: I hear that they have mimosas, which are a must for a proper brunch IMO. LOL! I LOVE that they have a Yelp waitlist option! I just popped us on there. 30 to 45 minutes isn't too shabby at 11:45am! (they actually just sat us way early! We feel lucky!) This place has such cute vibes, y'all! It's so stinkin' brunchy! Busy and vibey! Our server is Lillian, and she's darling! We ordered the Premium Juice Carafe with Blood Orange and Grapefruit to start out because...why not, right? We got the Cheeky Monkey as a snack, and then hubby, of course, got the Bananas Foster French Toast, and a side of bacon for that savory balance, per Lillian's suggestion. Genius! I ordered Phoebe's Benedict with hard eggs because I'm not a fan of runny. Sacrilege, I know! Here are our thoughts! Cheeky Monkey: While we gave away our menus, so we're not sure what's in this besides a poached egg, this is AWESOME! Crispy, creamy, and the gravy is to DIE for! It's reminiscent, says my husband, of a British scotch egg, but on steroids! He's a huge fan! I'm saving myself for brekky, but he's devouring it! Bananas Foster French Toast: This. Is. Insane. One bite into it, and it has become Chris's favorite French toast in, and I quote, THE ENTIRE WORLD! He's adding it to the finale of his last meal on Death Row. Phoebe's Benedict: This was some serious buttery goodness! I'll be honest, y'all, that it was slightly too much for me! It almost looked like the French toast when it was being brought out, but trust me when I say that it was delicious! The bread is their biscuit, I think, and slap yo mama! DECADENT! It just lacked a tad bit of freshness for my preference, but that's ENTIRELY on me for not reading the menu properly! Next time, I'm all in on the Pimento Omelette! All in all, we're charmed and delighted, and the place was a winner winner! We're adding it to our repertoire, for sure! So fun! And such positive energy! Prompt welcoming, but distracted service just around 145pm not too busy. Old school style booths that cannot be moved. The Austin Chronicle and To Go Order menus right at the entrance. They do catering ! Wait time for the meals was around 10-15 minutes and well worth it. Cornbread for Breakfast Benny was pretty sweet in the best way going perfectly with the pulled pork. The Mrs. Crunch is just the Mr.Crunch with an egg and very flavorful. The brisket is tender, the bread is toasted (maybe a little too heavy toasted as it was hard to bite through for toast) still pretty good. The breakfast shot of choice was horchata with a cold brew and one with Vietnamese coffee.

We hopped in line ahead of time via Yelp! Our table was ready in less than 5 minutes. Service was very fast and the waiter provided great insight on the menu items. We ordered the fried green tomatoes which are breaded in a cornmeal batter and served with ranch and hot sauce. 8/10 I tried the beet hash (vegetarian) it was really delicious! The egg and guac on top was a nice touch and really brought it all together ! 10/10 We also has the burrata omelette which came with a delectable tomato gravy, and a healthy scoop of pesto. Kinda reminded me of a homemade tomato and Basil soup. We ordered a side of sourdough to dip in the gravy! 10/10 They have a lot of austin texas and modern decor with unique lighting. We love that they built a phoebes up north! Can't wait to go back!

I got the Caesar wrap! I was actually quite impressed with the quality of it. The dressing was on the side too so you can modify as you eat. The tater tots were pretty good as well! Good easily accessible spot for brunch or lunch!

Honestly, I was a little disappointed sine I had read lots of good things about Phobes. I found the food to be good but again just good, not outstanding as I had anticipated. The service was decent and again not outstanding. I did like the ambiance of the inside dining area. The layout and colors were nice! I also liked the food names on the menu. Thank you Phoebe!

The food: I had the chicken and grits which had some decent heat on it. I enjoyed it but by the end was pushing through the hot maple syrup. I had a margarita that was ok but not that I would get again. I think I just ended up ordering something's that I didn't love but I am confident I would feel more satisfied during a second visit. The vibe: great brunch spot. Came with some friends and we stayed for quite awhile catching up. We did not feel rushed and our server was awesome. They were busy but she always made time to check on us.

I had been waiting for the opening of the north location of Phoebe's Diner for what felt like a decade. It was such a relief to see they're way bigger and way less busy than their Oltorf location. Service could be better, but they haven't been open long so it might get better. The food is as great as I expected and that crab benedict has my heart.

Atmosphere- very cute, typical dinner. Wasn't expecting it to be as cute as it was tbh from the outside but inside was nice and warm! Service- server was nice! Other workers nice as well. Food- pretty presentation but very bland. Bacon had zero flavor other than smoke. Bill- $60 for 2 people was kinda of INSANE. Overall- Not worth the money unless you're going for a nice coffee and cute atmosphere

Food is reasonably priced and had good flavor. Service was good and the staff were friendly . It does get busy so plan on waiting (worth waiting).

Food was Terrible but the service was great. The BBQ sauce they use was sooo sweet it was like licking corn syrup.

The eggs were bland, hash brown casserole should've been called onion casserole because that all we tasted. Best part of the trip was the off the block bacon-delicious!!! Server served us, just as bland as the eggs. Diner was extremely cold. Ok place for those that desire this but, I'll keep looking.

I love diners, Phoebe's is a very capable We ordered some breakfast prior to a meetup with our godson in Cedar Park. It wasn't too early on a Saturday morning, but we were able to walk in and get a table prior to a brunch-time lunch. We shared their deep fried green tomatoes, which were crisp and the coating did not fall off when you cut into the tomato slices. They came with six slices and were very good. My son ordered and demolished his Bad Ass Bacon and Eggs. The eggs were fluffly and the bacon was thick. My daughter destroyed her waffles, they were the right combo of crispy and fluffy. I ordered the chile relleno, and it was pretty good. My order came with chopped potatoes, and I also ordered a side of bacon. It was a lot of good food. The chile is stuffed with cheese, and inside a deep fried panko cover. I would love to try their shrimp and grits (or other variants), they also looked good from where I was sitting. :). . Let me tell you, when this place gets busy, it gets busy. It was quiet when we got there, but sometime during our enjoying our food, it got really busy. The quality of the service kept the pace though. Glad we tried out this diner.

I visited this restaurant after getting my tires rotated. I've always wanted to try it out, but the other location was consistently too busy whenever I attempted to visit. I was pleased to discover this new location up north. Upon arrival, the parking lot was quite packed, but I lucked out and found a spot just as someone was leaving. Fortunately, there was no wait to be seated for our small party, which was a relief. Our orders were taken promptly and our food arrived quickly. I opted for the Fried Chicken and Biscuit with sage gravy. The gravy had a creamy texture, but the sage flavor was overpowering, dominating the entire dish. The biscuit was cut into a loft-style bread, and while the fried chicken was moist, the breading didn't adhere well to it. Service was efficient; our food arrived within about seven minutes of placing our order with the waitress. She checked on us a couple of times during our meal, which was appreciated.

Cute diner! Spent our Friday morning having a simple and yet elegant little breakfast nook, a stones throw outside the Domain. this place has ample parking and sets on the corner enough to allow outside seating areas. It's still hot out here in Austin, so we asked to be seated inside. The nice thing is that we could bring our pup with us since we had a stroller. Very excited to be here and be accepted as a dog owner. The guy at the reception was very cool and was happy that we could bring our dog with us. We don't get that very often so it was nice. Really good help with the staff. Food was delicious and was bigger than expected. Generous portions served. I recommend coming here in the middle of the week as The patronage was low. I'm just not a fan of crowds.

Vibe and service are great. Nitro cold brew is creamy and wonderful. Those pancakes are REALLY fluffy and good. My husband's chile relleno was FANTASTIC. In fact, I was jealous the entire meal, because my '04 platter was so disappointing... the sausage and eggs were fine, but man... this is Texas... get your brisket act together??? It wasn't stringy and dry with very little flavor. That said, it wasn't my first time to Phoebe's, and I absolutely smashed my chicken sandwich last time, so I'm not letting it affect my rating. But now I know -- just don't get the brisket lol.

Pro tip: Manor location is better than Burnet food wise, but we had a crazy wait at the Manor location so pick your battle. Loved that I could customize my pancakes - we order chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries on the side and the fried chicken biscuit.

We came on a Sunday morning before any big rush around 9:30. The two hosts seemed disheveled when we arrived and didn't really greet us as they were looking at the seating chart. I'll give them some leeway as this establishment opened recently. Once we were sat at a table, a server shortly after greeted us and took our beverage order. The restaurant is decorated like an upscale modern dinner. It echoes a lot off the walls of the restaurant, sometimes making people's voices loud and noisy. Per recommendation from the server I ordered the baked eggs and my partner ordered the Phoebe's Benedict. When the items came out they were a bit unexpected based off the description. My dish was two over-easy eggs in a creamy tomato sauce, mushrooms in a small cast iron, and the smallest piece of sourdough toast. Of course, my overzealous self tries to eat the item immediately and ends up burning the roof of my mouth. The dish was tasty but I don't feel that it was worth the extra $2 for another piece of sourdough toast. My partner's Benedict was the most peculiar benedict I've seen in some time. The biscuits were dense with the poached egg hiding underneath a large piece of ham topped off with hollandaise sauce with a hash brown casserole. Overall the food was okay but it's not a place i'm wanting to come back to anytime soon.

Very cute diner and great as a casual brunch spot. We were seated immediately (we went close to when they opened) and the place was decently busy. Service was great, quick, and we got everything we needed. The food here is so good if you're looking for a breakfast spot that also has a touch of southern comfort food. I will warn you that the food is very filling, heavy and rich (at least the stuff we ordered). If you're gonna start your day here, you better plan for a nap after because you will be in a food coma.

Visited for a casual Saturday morning brunch date. Fortunately, we went in the sweet spot of early enough that there was no wait, and service was quick and easy! The food was basic and nothing special, however, their menu has quite the variety so there is definitely a little something for everyone - from your standard eggs and pancakes to specialties and even BBQ. Overall, I'd give it 3-3.5/5 for being a decent, no frills diner. But compared to other spots around Austin it wouldn't be my go-to. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, their north location is situated in a small strip of restaurants/businesses with a regular open parking lot. - Reservations? No, but you can join the waitlist ahead of time if it's busy! - Price range: $-$$ (we spent $60 incl. tax/tip) FOOD & DRINK: - Vietnamese iced coffee (4/5): This was pretty good, and I was surprised they offered it. Strong as always but a good balance of sweetness. - Pimiento cheese omelette w/hash brown casserole (3/5): A very cheesy omelette with a variety of cheeses. It was good overall but would be nice with some green onion or something to break through all the heaviness of the cheese. Hash brown casserole was okay - it needed salt! - Chicken fried steak (4/5): Decent portion and good gravy. The runny egg is perfect with it. Nicely cooked. - Pancakes (4/5): A short stack (2) for $5.99. Kept it classic and didn't opt for any toppings. Straight forward, solid pancakes!

Great local place that has a cute welcoming atmosphere. Both inside and outside seating appealing. Waitstaff was extremely helpful and responsive. Food came out quickly and overall vibe was wonderful. Good options for both lunch and brunch choices. Highly recommend!

Comfy spot in a small strip center off MoPac just north of The Domain. Casual style with pleasant indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice selections of breakfast favorites all DAT, as well as some sandwiches. Their variations on Eggs Benedict are excellent. The servive here was friendly, relaxed and efficient. Selection of beers, wines and some specialty coctails. Great Pleven to sit and enjoy a meal and a conversation. Ample parking,

Food and service were excellent. Badass Eggs and Bacon I had was perfect. The smoky tomato relish (salsa?) is a savory condiment that worked with everything on the plate. Hash brown casserole was tasty as well ... almost a scalloped potato vibe. Coffee really good too ... nice dark roast. We showed up a bit after 8 on a Saturday morning and we're seated immediately. Will be back!

This place gets pretty busy on a weekend, so going earlier helps. We went at 10:45am on a Sunday and were seated right away for a party of 3. I had the fried chicken and biscuit with the sausage gravy and it was super tasty. Room for improvement: I also ordered the Horchata and it was super sweet, too sweet. It's the sweetest horchata I've ever had. I wasn't offered an option to exchange it for something less sweet and had to ask for some milk to balance out the sugary taste.

Service was great. Food was amazing. Everything about this place was top notch. Plan to return again and again.
