Downtown Austin Restaurant J. Carver Oyster Bar and Chophouse Opening in Summer - Eater Austin

"South Austin restaurant Phoebe’s Diner opened a second location in downtown Austin at the end of June. The new diner is found at 408 West 11th Street, Unit 100, taking over Darna Mediterranean Cuisine, which appears to have closed sometime last fall. The menu from chef Camden Stuerzenberger remains the same — a span of American-Texan dishes from migas to fried chicken with grits to pancakes to smoked meats. Hours are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; it’s open for dine-in and takeout services." - Nadia Chaudhury

Google
I've been looking for authentic southern-style sausage gravy in Austin Texas over the last 3 years. A lot of folks claim to make sausage gravy but just put sausage in flour gravy. That's not sausage gravy. I finally found it, actual sausage gravy made a little different with link sausage play across from the courthouse downtown at Phoebe's Diner 11th Street downtown Austin. Bo offered me excellent customer service. I will definitely be back!

What a great place to come and enjoy your friends and family! A delightful atmosphere, and the coffee is so good! We got the barbecue brisket burrito for breakfast and it was super yummy. The red potatoes are excellent as well and the salsa is something to write home about!

Phoebe's Diner 408 W 11th St Unit 100, Austin, TX 78701 Phoebe’s is a gem! The space is cozy and welcoming, and the food is absolutely phenomenal. I visited twice over the weekend and would return to Austin just to eat here again. The staff was delightful, especially our server Izzy, who went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. Everything on the menu is worth trying, but do not skip the pancakes. Street parking is free on Sundays, which is a bonus.

We enjoyed walking to Phoebe’s Downtown after we spent the morning at the Texas Capitol. This location is convenient and easy to walk to from the Capitol. The service was good and the food was great! A little expensive but I also understand the area and experience. Definitely worth a stop!

Google
The atmosphere was nice although there is no dedicated parking lot for this location. The food was amazing!! My husband enjoyed the nitro cold brew with Bailey's. The fried chicken biscuit was great. The chicken was seasoned well and the biscuit was fluffy. The pepper jam and sausage gravy was a nice complement. The deep fried french toast with mixed berries was better than expected. This place will definitely be a regular breakfast spot.

Great spot to eat, especially for brunch. We tried the Brisket Burrito 🌯, BST Omelet, Fried Shrimp 🍤, Baked Eggs🍳, Brunch Punch🍹, and Phoebe's 75. Good customer service. There are a couple of parking spaces immediately in front.

Google
The food is amazing!! Shrimp and grits are a must and the brisket burrito is the bomb! The wait staff is the best I've seen and they do and outstanding job of taking care of you! I got me a shirt to do that's a Win for me!

Google
Wow amazing food, service. What absolutely blew my mind is we were seated and had our food within 15 minutes of entering. The speed and quality of service was amazing. Food was piping hot and delicious!

Yelp
This is my favorite diner in Austin. I've been coming here for over a year now and trying everything on the menu, I have never had anything that didn't blow my tastebuds away! Shout out to the Pimento Cheese Omelet, Chorizo Hash and Goat Cheese Grits (and I'm from SC so I know my grits!). Every time I've dined here something that truly makes my experience is that every host and server is on top of their game, so friendly and kind! There seems to be a true joy in working there. Shout out to Jannah who always welcomes me and is so knowledgeable. I wish I had more names, everyone I've encountered there has been so hospitable. Not to mention service is quick once seated if you are in a hurry. Do yourself a favor and get there asap!

Yelp
A humble joint for homey Southern food. Staff are just as sweet as its food. The server kindly allowed me to hold a table for my friends as they were running late, which is usually not allowed. Other staff also checked in on our party on a frequent basis. Food was solid. Standard American brunch fare with a Southern twist of course. The banana French toast was the best dish we ordered. It wasn't too sweet (surprisingly!) and I enjoyed the banana, maple, and almond flavors. Bread also had a slight crunch and was fluffy inside despite us leaving it out until the very end. If you're tired of hyped-up and over the top brunch places, Phoebe's Diner is it.

Yelp
Definitely diner vibes! Cozy and cute. The service is very good--attentive and accomodating waiters and staff. We had the chicken and waffles, pancakes, and baked egg. All were delicious however the portions were pretty small. The baked egg came with two small slices of sourdough--definitely needed more bread. The chicken and waffles came with a very small waffle and it probably would've been better if the waffle was bigger than the chicken. The pancakes were slightly undercooked with batter oozing out. Overall was good but could be better.

Yelp
Phoebe's Diner in Austin, TX is incredible! From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm and stylish atmosphere that perfectly blends retro charm with modern comfort. The attention to detail in the design--from the vintage decor to the cozy seating arrangements--creates a welcoming and delightful dining environment. The star of our visit was undoubtedly the Bananas Foster French Toast. This dish is a true masterpiece! The French toast was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, topped with a decadent caramelized banana topping that was both rich and flavorful. It's a heavenly combination that satisfies every sweet tooth craving and leaves you wanting more. Beyond the incredible food, the service at Phoebe's Diner is outstanding. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the food they serve. They go out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Phoebe's Diner is a must-visit spot in Austin. The Bananas Foster French Toast alone is worth the trip, and the inviting, thoughtfully designed space makes it a place you'll want to return to again and again. I will be back for sure.

Yelp
Servers are so nice and welcoming! I was a single diner in a Sat afternoon, about an hour before close and no one treated me like I shouldn't have been there....you sometimes can get some strange interactions as a single diner, esp on a weekend. Anywho, server was great as was the food. I had the Sat special omelette which was spinach, short rib, cheese, onion and poblano (?) pepper with ranchero sauce. Delicious! Asparagus was also delicious! Nice char and well seasoned. My minor negatives were that the Nitro cold brew was really small for the price and people mopping floors as I'm eating was a) nice to see things getting well cleaned, but d) made me feel a little rushed. I'll be back!

Yelp
We love phoebes! We have came here multiple times and it never disappoints. Fried green tomatoes are a must everytime! This time I had the shrimp and grit, it was pretty good, could use less corn or no corn at all IMO. However flavor is great and has a kick to it as well. Shrimp were a great size and cooked just right! My significant other had the baked eggs which he has gotten before and thoroughly enjoyed it. Only thing we would change is the cook on the egg but it's unable to be adjusted- it comes over reallllyyy easy. I tried the double buzz per our server Izzy's suggestion, it was really good and the ice cube was made of coffee so it doesn't water down the drink which is awesome , because Who likes a watered down drink? Izzy was a great server and didn't miss a beat. Food came out quickly as well which was perfect. I love this location for its downtown hipster charm however parking is not the best. Decor is modern with a touch of tx charm.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Had the chorizo, shrimp and grits. It had a kick! Service was good. Ambiance was downtown and locals. Definitely coming back

Yelp
Y'all, there was a wait Tuesday afternoon for lunch. This is the HOT spot. The vibes are great - friendly staff (shoutout to Ryan & Kira) and the food is delicious. I got the Smoked Beet Hash, side of Buttermilk biscuit (2 pieces per order) and a juice - got the Beet Orange and Blood Orange freshly squeezed juices! The biscuits are also made in house. Everything is yummy. I'm like drooling. I'm grateful there's a BBQ dish for a vegetarian! And, you can change the egg to be cooked any style. The decor is fun, they've got a variety of seating options from booth to diner counter to individual tables. It's a spot fit for both groups and solo parties alike.
google avatar

Yelp
Definitely worth the wait. Great service and even better food. Definitely on our list for next visit to Austin.

Yelp
5 stars for the grits, burrata omelet, banana foster French toast, and extra thick sliced bacon! They offer a few BOGO deals on UberEats. I opted for the BOGO cafe du monde (iced coffee) which was perfect on a hot summers day in Austin.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a lovely introduction to our Austin cuisine trip we got here at about 10 or so and the restaurant was poppin so there was a 10 minute wait. They had water and coffee outside for those waiting for a table and I'd say they provided a decent amount of seating for those waiting. The food was really good! Like weirdly good. We ordered a chunky monkey and a brisket burrito which were honestly on point. The biggest issue we collectively had was the amount of brisket in the burrito. It was at least 5% brisket and 35% scrambled egg. Ultimately it was a good experience besides the less than okay service which I think might just be an Austin thing.

Yelp
Great service. Great food - I've tried most of the menu and never been disappointed. Incredible homemade pimento cheese as well!

Yelp
Delicious and cute breakfast spot downtown. Had visitors for SXSW and brought them here for Sunday brunch. It was pretty busy so opted to sit at the bar without a wait. I immediately ordered the 04 platter because it had bbq brisket. Also got the fried chicken and biscuit and fried green tomatoes and cornbread. Order came out pretty fast. The platter had lots of variety of food including a fat piece of brisket that was juicy and tender, a tasty sausage with great snap, and ham which I honestly wasn't a big fan of. Also cake with eggs. The chicken biscuit was great and also ordered gravy to to go with it which was awesome. Thick and flavorful. Biscuit was perfect and not too dry and chicken was breaded perfectly. The fried green tomatoes were a nice accompaniment and thence cornbread was nice and fully and warm. All in all a great brunch experience!

Yelp
To go was fantastic - I can only imagine what eating in-person is like. The Postmates deal of bogo on a chicken biscuit saved me today. Chocolate chip pancakes hit as well. Very fair price! Cheers!

Yelp
Our first time to Phoebe's, we were afraid the wait might be long , so we got on the waitlist. Unfortunately our time expired by the time we figured out parking. They were very kind and accommodating. As soon as we got there, we were seated right by the bar. The place was bright and fun. Super friendly server helped us with drinks and our order. There's lots to choose from. We had the brisket burrito and the badass bacon and eggs. Each was served with hash brown casserole and flavorful salsa. Everything was delicious. I am excited to one day go back and try something else.
google avatar

Yelp
Super busy diner/brunch spot on the weekend. We waited 40 mins on a Saturday morning at around 11am, a hack is to put your name on the Yelp waitlist before you actually get there to get ahead. I really like Phoebe's - their food is wholesome and has a variety of ingredients. They are not a "healthy" brunch place by anymeans but there are a less heavy options if youre looking for them. You can also do sides of eggs/avocadoes/etc. if what you want is not on the menu. I had the chorizo hash both time (very flavorful and can be spicy), bf loves the biscuits and the banana foster french toast was tasty but intensely decadent. Overall a great place to eat, and you might walk out with a food coma lol
google avatar

Kara K.

Yelp
Trendy and light atmosphere, TVs for news and such if you want, but seating not focusing on that is great for a chatty brunch! Food quality is excellent and portions are decent (it seems like you could definitely get 2-3 dishes to share for a table of 4. Especially if you get the hot cornbread appetizer!) Hot cornbread appetizer comes with three topping options: Apple butter, some kind of pepper jam (my fav) and a whipped butter (delicious with either other as a creamy combo). Definitely not your dry, cold, crumbly cornbread you may get elsewhere. I was surprised to see something other than cold brew coffee as a "Nitro-" something! Nitro-chata (horchata) was smooth and delicious. Migas - not what I expected (no tortilla strips in the eggs) but I was pleasantly surprised with the tortilla/masa "hush puppies) which added that much needed earthy flavor and chewy/crunchy texture to the soft scrambled egg, hatch chile, onion mixture. Brisket Benedict - what a portion! Tasty, but a lot unless you're starving (and maybe you're close, no judgement here if you finish it all!). The hash brown casserole is a MUST HAVE. Server was attentive and friendly. It was pretty empty at 9AM on a Monday morning. Parking can be iffy, so walking (if possible) or taking a ride share/cab is probably wise. All around good experience.

Yelp
The line out door at 10 was a good sign. We were lucky we got seated right away at the bar. But recommend getting there early so you don't wait too long. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. The food was unique and tasted delicious. Highly recommend this location !!

Yelp
This is by far our favorite place to go to for breakfast on the weekend. Also great hangover food as well. We probably go every other weekend, so we have had every staff member and they all have been great. I stop in during the week to get my viatnemes iced coffee and its a great pick-up for my day. As a small business owner, I know how difficult it is to keep staff and train them well and a lot of staff have been there a while so this tells you something about the owners. Thanks for being our Sunday breakfast spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Oh. My. Goodness. The reviews of this place were 100% accurate. I'm not even sure where to start! The welcoming vibe was set and carried out through every encounter with the wait staff. Jana was the waitress at the bar who gave excellent advice on the menu and her description of the shrimp and grits sold me on that as my choice. This was a delightfully, well-seasoned dish and I ate every, single bite! The coffee was perfect and I'm glad I opted for it versus a cocktail...even though they looked appealing as well. I was sitting my a lady at the bar who was as out of town like myself who'd come back two days in a row because it's just that good! I think I'll be following suit myself! There are way too many great options on the menu that I've got to get back here one more time! Get there as fast as you can! You'll be happy you did!

Yelp
So, I had just arrived in Austin, and while at the airport I searched Yelp for best lunch and Phoebe's came up. The first location I went to had over 1k reviews, but parking was bad and it was next to a gas station (not that I'm opposed to the location, parking was just bad), so I was directed to this downtown location. Parking here was also a challenge, but I lucked up and found a spot on the next block. I was greeted and seated right away, I could smell the deliciousness from outside. Although their special, the Crab Omelette sounded amazing, I'm from Maryland and am suspicious of crab if I'm not near the water. I ordered the most amazing Bananas Foster French Toast and a side of bacon (I had to try it). Omg, the French Toast is actually banana nut bread, prepared like French Toast, so absolutely surprising and delicious. The bacon was like eating a piece of ham and it was absolutely amazing. I also had a yummy cocktail. The staff was great, friendly and they were helpful with suggestions. Halle was amazing!! The variety on the menu was perfect.
google avatar

Nick N.

Yelp
Some of the best Shrimp & Grits! The Crab Cake Bene was also really good. Awesome vibes and blood orange mimosas. Use the Yelp app to avoid a wait
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
PHOEBE'S is always 10/10.Wow! The food is always great here and the service is amazing.

Yelp
Holy smokes this place is tasty. I had friends in town and this had good reviews so we decided to try it and it did not disappoint. You can easily make reservations here. We also didn't wait very long when we checked in early. They do have a good amount of seating and seating out side. The outside seating has heaters and it was actually warm. The wait staff was very friendly and our server was great! She was very informative of the menu, gave suggestions, and helped us decide. We had mimosas and all tried something different for food plus an order of cornbread to start. Three options for the cornbread, sweet and salty butter, apple butter, and salsa. I got the burrito and wow was it good.! It was quite large and enough for two meals for me and it was very flavorful. The potato mash that comes with it was super good too, with onions and cheese, etc wow! Found my new fav brunch spot!
google avatar

Yelp
I found this diner in my breakfast search in Austin, and I'm glad I did. I sat at the bar and had great, friendly service. There were regular and new customers seated there, and all were enjoying their food. I had the Migas with chorizo, and it was delicious. Perfect flavor in every bite. Can't wait to try something new on my next visit.
google avatar

Crystal O.

Yelp
Ambiance was cute, gave old school diner vibes. Next time I go I want to sit at the bar. The fried green tomatoes were my favorite. Everything was good and service was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Mid food, pressed staff and 20% upcharge for 6 people. When I tried to pay for my groups meal to beat my Fil to it, an older blonde waitress rolled her eyes so hard I'd thought they'd pop out. Texas food is hot garbage. May god have mercy on y'alls souls.
google avatar

Bensluy ..

Yelp
The food was very unique and very delicious. The service was excellent and even though from the outside, it doesn't look like much inside it's very cozy and the gluten-free menu is awesome
google avatar

Saira K.

Yelp
We really enjoyed brunch here to start a girls trip weekend in Austin. We called ahead and got on the wait list prior to driving in from Houston. By the time we arrived in Austin, our table at Phoebe's was ready save for a short 15 minute wait. I got the coffee, which our server mentioned was from Cafe DuMonde, and it was delicious and smooth. For my meal, I ordered the goat cheese grits and fried chicken breast at the wonderful suggestion of our server. The grits were so creamy and delicious, some of the best grits I've ever had. The chicken breast was fried and crispy, but not greasy or oily. They were a generous portion, with 2 chicken breasts. I was full after one and didn't eat the 2nd one. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a delicious brunch meal in Austin!
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
Yummy food! Tater tots were my favorite. Chicken fried steak was crispy and cooked the right temperature.
google avatar

Brian T.

Yelp
It was my first time at this Phoebe's location but definitely not my first time at a Phoebe's. It was absolutely as great as the other locations and I really enjoyed the fried chicken and grits. We came on a Sunday morning and there was no line at 10 am but as we were leaving, there were about 10 people in line. Get there early!
google avatar

Lizzie R.

Yelp
I found it by coincidence as we were searching for a homestyle breakfast spot and it did not disappoint. I ended up finding the yelp page and added myself to the waitlist which worked perfectly for us. Upon arrival, we were told that it would be about a 5-10min wait even though we were still 8th or 9th in line. After we were seated, we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes! Truly a must! Guava Lemonade and Blood Orange Juice were ordered in the meanwhile. We ordered 3 separate items: One was a skillet type dish Chile Relleno (it's a HUGE portion) - i added the chorizo and it added more flavor. Fried Chicken & Grits All 3 items were definitely well served for their price points and were delicious. I'm curious to try out additional items from their menu, so I will definitely return!
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
Awesome meal, awesome service. Got the pulled pork Benny with hashbrown casserole. Both were a huge hit for me. Super adequate portion and looked just as great as the pictures on their website. My only issue here is that there are too many great options to choose from!!! My friend was able to replace the brisket in the burrito with bacon and he loved it. The slab bacon here is so incredible! We will be bringing all out of town guests here for lunch. No wait on a weekday afternoon.

Savannah S.

Yelp
I've been here twice and enjoyed my meal both times. Staff is very friendly. Ordered the chicken biscuit and french toast. Both tasted very fresh. I especially loved the chicken and red potatoes. We went on a Saturday morning and was pretty busy but we were sat at the bar with no wait. My only complaint is that I didn't love the biscuit (but I'm very particular about biscuits). Would go again!
google avatar

Krystal J.

Yelp
Absolutely recommend Phoebe's!! We came on a Saturday , waited like 15 minutes. It was live though for sure, consistent traffic which is great news. Ordered the Double Buzz and 2 of these will get you right. The coffee ice cube is genius of course so your drink doesn't get watered down. The Fried Chicken biscuit was the BEST thing on the table & you HAAVE to get a side of the sage sausage gravy it was DELICIOUS! So much flavor and a gravy done RIGHT! I really enjoyed the buttermilk flapjacks & the badass bacon + eggs was perfect! The thick cut bacon that's how you bacon ! Bananas fosters French toast was tasty and table shared it. It was sweet but really good Deep fried French toast was also good , really fluffy but I preferred the pancakes. Definitely a must have for a breakfast spot
google avatar

Natalie C.

Yelp
What a gem. Fast service and the nicest staff. The fried green tomato BLT is fricken fantastic, and the side of tater tots brings back my childhood self. For those looking more for breakfast, the chorizo hash is large and full of flavor. A couple of notes - they don't do more than a regular cup of coffee so if your a big cappuccino or latte fan, you will be out of luck but trust me it will be worth it. Also they don't do reservations but they do a waitlist through Yelp. It can be up to an hour on a Saturday or Sunday so add that into your equation.
google avatar

Ron K.

Yelp
In short, Great breakfast spot. With a few more details, Service was great and friendly. The food was fantastic. Kid friendly. Seating might be a bit tight but part with the nature of a small place in downtown Austin. Recommended.

Sharon M.

Yelp
Try the baked eggs!!! Outside of my comfort zone for a miriad of reasons So glad I tried them Oh so good!!! Spouse had the deep fried French toast He's looking like the chesair cat! Our server Sias was exceptional !!! Great breakfast experience
google avatar

Nasiah R.

Yelp
I came in a large group. The staff was incredibly attentive, patient, and accommodating. Our server was great and did a good job handling our tables. This restaurant isn't ideal for a large group as it is a bit of a smaller restaurant but the staff was gracious enough to make it work. The service was 5 star. My food... 3 stars. I ordered the brisket benny. The brisket was fatty and not very flavorful. The hashbrown casserole was very okay. Overall, the food was average but the service was phenomenal. Some of the people at my table enjoyed their food so maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I'd be open to trying Phoebe's again to see if I like the next dish better.
google avatar

Donna G.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic experience. Went to sop up a hard played night before!!! Haha. It definitely delivered. The restaurant has character, all the staff were SUPER friendly and very attentive. Food had me at deep fried egg and banana Foster's French toast. The basic bacon and eggs are anything but basic, out of this world - so delicious. Will definitely back again
google avatar

Kendra B.

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS SUPERB. The food is stellar, the staff is so friendly, the managers always say hello, did I mention the food is ah-mazing! If you're entertaining, bring them here! Bananas Foster French toast is the best you'll ever have. Brisket Benny will change your life!

Yelp
TLDR: a great brunch spot with an expansive menu for food and drink tucked away in a nice spot in downtown Austin! Went for brunch Sunday morning expecting to get stuck with the usual brunch rush wait but to our surprise there was no wait at all! If you're coming on a Sunday and get in before 11 you likely won't have a wait, after 11 it did fill up fast and wait was around 30-45 minutes when we left. Our waiter was very experienced and gave us several recommendations that were on point. I was debating between the brisket benny and the fried chicken and grits but after being convinced on the fried chicken I was sold (gluten free too which is a tough find these days for props to them for offering). Overall this place has something for everyone and the wait staff is really friendly. I would highly recommend this for brunch in Austin! Nitro Horchata I wasn't expecting to taste this much horchata but it works so well. Very creamy and the cinnamon notes from the horchata blends well with the cold brew. Well worth the $6. 9.5/10 Fried chicken and grits The chicken was boneless and had a nice fry to it. Not dried out and good on its own but I added a little hot sauce to give it that extra kick. Grits were absolutely delicious and cheesy. I could taste some goat cheese with was unique. Comes with pickled veggies that are a must too. 9/10 Chorizo Hash Deceptively big portion. Come hungry for this on. Lots of veggies and sweet potatoes accompany a solid amount of chorizo. Great to eat if you're looking for something with some nutrition but don't want anything boring. It does have a bunch of corn. 8/10. Red potatoes Saw the pictures and thought these would be a hit. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside but lacking flavor. Not salted much either. They're cooked perfectly but could use something to make it stand out. 6.5/10.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed our experience, the food, the service, the ambience everything was exactly what we thought it would be could've had a better time the prices right service excellent thank you
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
The BST omelet is the best omelet I've ever had. Definitely recommend adding the goat cheese! Also, the pancakes are so light and fluffy!
google avatar

Maria H.

Yelp
Huge portions with even BIGGER flavor. The bacon lives up to its name! The chorizo hash was delectable, everything just worked so well together. The cold brew was just the bolt I needed be heading back home. Friendly service and quaint ambience.
google avatar

Morgan S.

Yelp
Great Service for Brunch today! We had a larger party of 6 and they do charge 18% large party fee so that's something to note when paying. We left additional tip because the service we experienced was so AMaZINg! I'm Gluten Free and there are so many options which is why we chose this place. Would highly recommend the cheeky monkey, fried chicken and grits, and the eggs Benny! Everything was delicious.
google avatar

Laurie N.

Yelp
Nice place ... I recommend and it is clean. Gets packed so go early. Expect waitstaff to forget you after you get the meal. Well not all of them do that. But mine did.

Yelp
Great food, great service, really down to earth ambiance and wonderful brunch location. Great selections and will return.

Yelp
Walked over to Phoebe's downtown on a Saturday morning for breakfast and really enjoyed the experience. Phoebe's was busy but the wait for a table was assuaged by the bar server who took our order for two Bloody Mary's which were well crafted. The wait was only about 10 minutes and our server could not have been better - attentive, informative, friendly. We ordered the fried chicken biscuit and the chicken fried steak and both were excellent. Generous portions, nicely presented, and very tasty. Phoebe's has a nice atmosphere, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. We highly recommend Phoebe's downtown.

Yelp
Another pleasant surprise!!! I was invited here for a brunch! We had about 14-16 people so we had to sit separately! So I wouldn't advice going with parties over 8 unless you don't mind sitting separate. This would be my only con. The food was amazing!!!! Their bacon which isn't pictured is so thick and flavorful! You can ask for extra crispy which gives me a pork skin crunch flavor! The French toast I couldn't even finish but I surely wanted to take home. Not overly sweet, and don't need to add any extra syrup or anything! Nice and soft The fried chicken biscuit only comes with a bottom biscuit which through me off at first but it was Perfect. The top bottom wbun would have been too much. I changed to American cheese from cheddar and got my egg fried hard. Delish! The casserole and potatoes needed a bit more seasoning!
