The 31 Best Restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | Eater

"Phở Phú Vương has been open for more than 25 years and features a unique blend of Northern and Southern styles of pho. Owner Phạm Văn Cử’s parents are from Nam Dinh Province, about 50 miles outside of Hanoi, and when they relocated to HCMC in 1954, they brought their family pho recipe. To cater to Southern taste buds, they made the broth slightly sweeter and leaned into flavors of ginger, anise, and cinnamon. Make sure to order the creamy poached egg yolk, which explodes as you slurp." - Linh Phan

This is a pretty busy place and was full of locals on my visit Saturday night. The pho is pretty good and there was a good amount of beef. The broth is quite flavorful but a little salty. The service was very fast but prices are a bit high. Theres space for motorbike parking available on the sidewalk.

Between two, we ordered the Tai (Rare steak), Nam (beef lean meat) as well as one coconut. The broth was full of flavour and with the coconut, I was in heaven! One star deducted as I did find the serving size quite small despite ordering the large size for both.

Phở Phú Vương serves only one kind of pho, which is beef pho, but you can choose your preferred cut of meat. The pho is southern Vietnamese style. The beef is fresh and tender, which is a big plus since many places tend to overcook it and make it chewy.

It's Phở restaurant. There were so many people there. I think it's popular for both Vietnamese and tourists because of the location. It's south style Pho. Then it's very standard Pho. The items on the table were enough and the Pho is good. So I was satisfied with it. The price wa normal as the location, so It's good Pho restaurant.

It tastes good. However the broth tastes too strong that I suspect those are too much MSG which caused me so thirsty. And the portion was very small. The picture showed I ordered the “large” size which has only a slice of beef. So the small size only has half? Also they charged the fee for the tea. Just a small money, but not feeling good for such “extra” fee

Restaurant is clean and bright and the pho is tasty as well. English menu available as well and some of the service staff can speak English.

I ate here 3 times in 2 days. Would not really recommend “phở bò viên” (beef meatball phở) since the portion felt small to me and it only came with beef meatballs (well unless you really love meatballs), but I do recommend the full option with the bone - it’s way better. Soup broth is the best here, could say it’s perfect balance. Then the bone part and shank. Better than Phở Hoà, imo.

I had a Phu at this place during my visit to Ho Chi Minh City. I had a bowl of Phu for my lunch. Portion size was really good and heavy. It tasted really good. Restaurant staff had English speaking staff. Spacious. Little bit crowded during the lunch time but it was fine. Good restaurant to have an authentic Vietnamese Phu in Saigon. Recommended.
