The Best Soups in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"While soups are often relegated to the supporting role for a main plate, this filling and nutrient-dense soup serves as a meal all on its own. It’s packed with carrots, onions, diced tomatoes, cannellini beans, and dinosaur kale, then simmered in a garlic, basil, thyme, and olive-oil-infused vegetable broth to bring its wide range of flavors together. It’s even gluten free and vegan, which makes it a great option for those with dietary restrictions." - Jamie Phillis

We visited Picazzo’s Healthy Italian Kitchen with our family yesterday, and it was fantastic! The food is delicious and healthy, with plenty of options for everyone, including gluten-free and vegan. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We especially loved the Cheese Bread, Pita & Hummus, Pasta. Definitely a great spot for a wholesome, tasty meal. Highly recommend!

We ate here for dinner and really enjoyed everything. Friendly service, great atmosphere (we sat outside on their patio) and fantastic food, and entire menu really caters to those with food allergies. I got the hot honey fig and salami pizza with the gluten free vegan crust as well as the blue elderflower mocktail. Totally hit the spot. Loved the flavor combination on the pizza and the crust had a delicious sourdough taste. My husband got the Vortex pizza on the regular crust and also really enjoyed his meal. Highly recommend.

Google
This place blows other spots away! It has a HUGE vegan + gluten free menu, you can have your regular pizza options also changed to gluten free, everything I’ve eaten here has been top notch, healthy, delicious, and the service is phenomenal! Love all the waiters / staff members, very kind and professional. 10/10 always a wonderful time

Google
A modern healthy Italian restaurant with great options and flavor! Loved being able to do the half and half on pizzas. Also friendly staff in a good location!

Google
This place is amazing! My wife and I are vegan and most Italian restaurants we go to require discussing what can be made vegan with the employees. Not at this place! They had a separate vegan menu and there were TONS of choices. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We will definitely be visiting there again!

Google
Today was the first time I’ve ever tried Picazzo’s. I got there right at 11am and it was calm, quiet and you could see the beautiful atmosphere. Around 11:15 it started to get busy, people just started to flow in, the cooks we’re cooking and smiling, and because I ordered my food to go, I was greeted and made sure I had what I needed by every staff member that walked by. The food was plated beautifully (even in the to-go containers) and it tasted AMAZING! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying Picazzo’s they will not disappoint 😊👍🏻

Google
For a pizza joint, I was pleasantly surprised with the food. Both the regular pizza, as well as the gluten free version had very good crusts. I had a Thai peanut bowl that was really, really good. Service was good as well, we started outside and as we realized it wasn't a great day to be outside, they moved us inside with no issues. Decor was good, but nothing special.

Google
I had the build your own pasta bowl with gluten free pasta, marinara sauce , turkey meatballs which were big and the focaccia bread and the cheese cake with raspberry sauce. My mom had the gluten free pasta and the Alfredo sauce with chicken. It was absolutely delicious and the best gluten free I've had.I highly recommend this restaurant. The have many options for people who have food allergies, are vegan or vegetarian and options if you don't have food allergies. The atmosphere is relaxing. I have eaten there before and had the gluten free pizza.it was very good.I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. My daughter was happy with the children's mac and cheese, and my soup was good also. Service was a bit slow, it took about 25 minutes, and it JUST made the 'worth the wait list' . Ambiance is pretty and modern, and very bright. I recommend it, but only if you're in the area.

Yelp
We only got Picazzo's because we have a gift card - and I say this because while there is a focus on cleaner ingredients and we very much greatly appreciate the heavy focus on dedicated gluten free kitchen (with vegan alternatives as well), this food is very overpriced for the portions and taste. We got three pasta dishes and a half order of focaccia which totaled about $90!! I got the vegan picatta pasta - for some reason the chicken one comes with broccolini but the vegan one doesn't?? It was pretty good, I wish they hand made their gluten free pasta given there heavy focus on it, but I like that the pasta shape was different than other places (rigatoni versus the typical penne). There were a lot of capers, a good amount of the daring vegan chicken which was my favorite part of the meal. I didn't really taste any lemon... very subtle flavor. It was nice to have the foccacia sop up the olive oil base. The foccacia was moist and not crumbly, it was pretty good gluten free bread! Couldn't tell it was foccacia per se, just good bread, is it worth the price? Maybe! My parents both got the vegan meatball marinara also with rigatoni. There wasn't a lot of sauce. There were two giant vegan meatballs, they were very tough, had to use a knife to cut the meatballs lmao that's not normal. A little dry, they said, overall just okay! We had leftovers of the pasta, we ate all the protein! We did take out so can't comment on service or ambiance

Yelp
I was looking for a restaurant that had plenty of vegetarian and vegan options to have lunch at with a family member and this place had the largest selection on their menu, so we decided to give it a try. After looking over the menu, we ordered the cheesebread and hummus as our starters to share. Both were good in their own respective way, but our favorite between the two would have to be the hummus, which was very light and refreshing. Since we came during lunch time, we each decided to order our own combos for our main. I got the spicy chipotle chicken pasta with tomato basil soup. The family member I was with got the beyond sausage and mushroom pasta with the Italian white bean and kale soup. I really enjoyed the flavor of my pasta; it had a nice subtle kick to it. However, I wasn't a fan of the texture of the chicken, but that's just a personal preference. The soup was okay, but next time I would get a salad so the meal wouldn't feel as heavy. We really enjoyed the lunch specials, from the various options, to the generous portions you're given and all at good prices. Overall, service was fast and friendly. The ambiance is comfortably casual, where those of all ages can enjoy.

Yelp
I've been to Picazzo's in several locations around the Valley, but have eaten at the North Scottsdale location twice in May. I love that even though I don't have a dietary restrictions, Picazzo's is a place I can eat with my friends who do. They have a huge variety of gluten free options and other allergy-sensitive foods. I thought on the menu there was a kale caesar salad, but upon arriving I didn't see that specific menu option. I asked the waiter if he'd be able to make it and they did! It was great to have an option like the kale caesar salad available. it was so tasty I ended up coming back a week later to eat it with another group of friends! We split the (vegan) cheese bread with marinara sauce - it was SO good! As a non-vegan, I wouldn't have known it wasn't real cheese! Since we were celebrating a co-worker's birthday we ended up splitting the piz-ookie (cookie) for dessert. We LOVED the ice cream that was on it. We called the restaurant a couple weeks later when we were trying to figure out what brand of ice cream they used and they were so helpful answering our call to get the answer. (They use Villa Dolce Gelato if anyone else is curious and it is the BEST). Picazzo's is a great place to wine and dine, I hope everyone tries it at least once!

Yelp
We had dinner at Picazzo's last night and it was delicious!! We ordered the whipped herb ricotta with toast, a 12" Meaty pizza, a 12" Spicy Calabrian and a kids macaroni & cheese with applesauce The waiter was phenomenal!! He was very attentive to our our group. We forgot to take pictures but I pulled from their website.

Yelp
Great healthy food that actually has flavors and not super bland. Came here with my mom after a long day of shopping and running errands, and had a lovely meal. For starters we ordered the artichoke dip which was delicious, and for lunch mom ordered the salmon while I ordered the chicken parm. We both enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere. Service was prompt and very friendly. Our server was on the shy quiet side but did not fail to check in on us and he always kept our waters filled.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale. The service is always good. The ambience is nice, and it is not too loud. We started with a gluten-free focaccia, which even the GF people enjoyed. Two of the people in our group had the Lunch special of a pizza slice and salad. They both finished it and said it was the perfect amount for lunch and very tasty. Our other friend had a whole pizza, the barbecue chicken. He enjoyed the smoky flavor and took half of it home. I had the chicken piccata with broccolini, which was super tasty. I too ended up taking half of it home to enjoy another day.

Yelp
This is the third different Picazzos that we have tried. The North Scottsdale location is bigger than the others. We sat at the bar and got great service. We noticed that the cocktails taste the same at each location. This is hard to do but super important in my book. We like the Ricks Smoked Old Fashioned and the Forbidden Cosmo. For $8 on HH this is good value. We had the meatball app and some pizzas too. The pizzas were perfect. If I were to nitpick, I thought the meatballs were a bit overcooked this trip. We love Picazzos. Someday we'll try the Sedona location.

Yelp
The atmosphere felt slightly above casual when my friends and I stepped in for lunch during a weekend trip to Mesa. There weren't many people in on a Monday afternoon, so we were quickly seated and served. I shared the elote pizza with one of my friends, and although it was good, it felt like it was slightly lacking. I think more corn on top and a bit more of the spicy sauce would have made it perfect. Their pizzas are served on a scrumptious and crunchy thin crust and cut into 6 slices, perfect for sharing. Their prices seemed a little on the higher side, but this restaurant seems to pride itself in healthier, more sustainable ingredients, which typically comes at a higher cost. Overall, I think service and food were really good, but nothing to write home about.

Yelp
Gluten free diner? Vegan or vegetarian? Then this place is for you! I had the lunch special of bean & kale soup with a puttanesca pizza. The soup was excellent! Very tasty and delicious, loved the pieces of kale on top. The pizza was just as good, nice thin crust. My friend had the Mother Earth salad and it looked really amazing, had sweet potatoes which I love. We were seated quickly outdoors and the staff was great, so helpful. Nice and cozy restaurant. Dogs are welcome for outdoor dining! A must visit restaurant!

Yelp
My vegan friend was visiting and unfortunately the options in Scottsdale are limited. Picazzo's has an extensive vegan menu and even for non vegans it's quite tasty. The cheese garlic bread was amazing and the mushroom pizza was delicious. And if you like heat but the pepper grinder on your way out, I did and use it all the time.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably the most vegan-friendly, nonvegan restaurant in the Valley. Honestly, I'm not sure why Picazzo's doesn't go all in because their vegan options are bomb af. Many of their regular options have a vegan variation be it their salads, baked dishes, pizzas, pastas, and even desserts, neatly displayed on its own menu. The restaurant has roots in Sedona which has now branched out to five additional key locations across the Valley. I recommend hitting up their daily lunch combo special from 11 am to 3 pm, where you can mix and match their pizzas, pastas, soups, and salads. The generous portions also come with drinks. My personal fav is the Beyond Sausage mushroom & pesto or the very nontraditional and very tasty Elote pizza (corn and red onions with a spicy chipotle drizzle). Pizzas can be requested gluten-free which are made in a dedicated GF stone oven. I've been to 3 of the 6 locations and the staff is consistently friendly. The restaurants are spacious but check wait times, especially around lunchtime as they sometimes fill up.

Yelp
Wow just wow!!!!! So good!!! To find a gluten free restaurant for Italian food was crazy! It was so good!!!! We ordered pastas and bread and meatballs and I loved it all!!!!! Service was amazing food was the best!!!! My friend is not allergic to gluten and loved it. Seriously cannot wait to go back. Amazing!!! Try it you won't be disappointed!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely adore gluten, and this is still one of my top five places I go eat! We had one issue with the service like a year ago, but we continued going and haven't had any issues since. It's delicious, but it's also very nice to have a place to take my celiac and gluten intolerant friends without making them feel like an inconvenience! They love it too! I love Picazzo's!

Yelp
Italian restaurant with a full vegan menu? Yes, please! I was excited to come across this spot and was not disappointed. Came in for a light lunch after traveling. Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately and ushered to our table. Our server was the sweetest! When we informed her it was our first time, she made sure to give us a general run down and came back a few times as we reviewed the menu to ensure we had no questions. Opted for the lunch special, which included a slice of pizza, salad or soup and a drink. The food was amazing! Perfect portion for lunch. We also had the vegan cheese bread and an apple crumble with vegan coconut ice cream for dessert, recommend both of those as well!

Yelp
This is my new go to lunch after a late afternoon Pvolve class next door. I like to get their lunch combos. Their pesto mushroom sausage pasta with a salad is delicious! I tried their Thai peanut chicken pasta and it had just the right amount of peanut flavor to blend. The chicken Bianco was yummy with cheese sauce and cooked spinach. I have a feeling I would like anything here, the food is fresh and delicious. Sometimes service can be a little slow so I make sure to get my order in as soon as I sit down. Make sure to sit on the patio if it's not too hot, great atmosphere. Be sure to look out for the cute cactus wren that hops around.

Yelp
One of our favorite gluten free restaurants to visit when we are in Scottsdale. We love sitting outside on the patio where there is ample amount of heaters in the winter to keep you cozy. Since my daughter is gluten and dairy free she ordered the Hot Honey, Salami & fig pizza. She absolutely loves the flavor and texture of this pizza with the vegan cheese. I'm delighted that she loves a pizza with fresh arugula! My husband and I like to order the Puttanesca Pizza. It's loaded with artichokes, roasted yellow tomatoes, basil & olives. Who would know eating pizza could be healthy? Lol We always order the Gorgonzola and Apple Salad. It's a huge portion that two people can split! The Mango Green Tea is amazing, loaded with antioxidants and will give you energy for the entire day. Our last visit the service was Superb! While we ate dinner here this visit, I highly recommend going at lunch time too. They have a pizza, salad and drink combo ($12.95) that is so worth it! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Yelp
I would say more bad than good. The menu has really shrinked down. All my favorite items are gone. happy hour has very few items available. Food isn't very good anymore. Maybe that's why there wasn't many people in the restaurant the last time I was there so I guess all in all I would say no I don't recommend this place anymore.

Yelp
So much good food. Took home my leftovers for dinner. Service is good . Very comfortable chairs, we were ready to purchase them.

Yelp
We have now eaten there about 6 times, including with vegans. So I can recommend it. Service is good. Our location has a nice patio. They have e good lunch specials and we enjoy the food.

Yelp
It was our first time here - we came around 2:30 for a quick bite, but were overall disappointed. We had a gluten free pizza, a regular pizza, Cesar salad and gluten free focaccia bread. The food was meh- the pizza was very greasy and overall everything felt kind of like glorified cafeteria food and was bland/had very little flavor. The service was not great either. They weren't busy (maybe had 4 tables occupied in the whole restaurant), but it took 15 mins for our server to come over and greet us/get our drinks, our food came out at different times, and our server rarely checked on us throughout the meal. We had to flag down one of the other staff members multiple times to get anything. It was edible and satisfied us in a pinch but I wouldn't go back, and would definitely opt for one of the other places in the area.

John M.

Yelp
Wife and I have been looking for an Italian restaurant that served healthy food. Picazzo's was perfect! We ordered the meatballs, baked brie and a pizza off the happy hour menu. The meatballs were delicious and the baked brie was too! What a great combination of food and flavors. We also got two pizzas, one regular crust and one gluten free cauliflower crust and they were both very good and discounted for happy hour. Service was very good too with our order taken quickly and deliver fast and hot. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
We are visiting from out of state and 3 out of 5 in our group are GF and we are all DF. We were so excited to find this place! We called in an order to go and Rockie answered the phone and could not have been more helpful and kind going over the menu with me. Our food was ready quickly and when we walked in to pick it up, the staff was so warm and friendly greeting us. Rockie went over the food we ordered and made sure we had everything we needed before we left. Food was great! We had pizzas and pasta and bread. We will definitely come back next time we are in AZ. Keep the good work!
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. Great service, healthy food in a nice open dining room. The outside area is nice also. I love that I can have a slice of pizza (that actually is 2) and not feel bloated. The food tasted fresh. We were immediately greeted and seated when we came in. They don't have happy hour, they have healthy hour. I cannot wait to try the healthy hour!
google avatar

Yelp
Picked up three meals for a business lunch today and all three were delicious. I called in the order and the food was ready on time and exactly as ordered. We had the Mother Earth salad, the Athena quinoa bowl and the Linguine and Meatballs lunch special with a salad.

Yelp
Great food..which offers numerous options..provide a vegan menu and no vegan menu with many healthy options to choose from. Pretty cool they had mouthwash in the bathroom..for all those dates going to the next level after lunch or dinner .. I eat at the bar.. it had a great friendly energy.. the bartender Quentin ..Q.. was so welcoming, attentive, and provided very fast service . Great place for a healthy lunch with friends or solo at the bar.

Yelp
Always a great experience at Picazzo's! Having celiac disease, this place is an absolute treasure. Almost everything is GF or can be made gluten free. They also have a lot of vegan options as well. We got the focaccia bread, it was fresh and hot. I normally order the pizza and salad lunch combo, but opted for the pasta this time. I got the lunch combo with a caesar salad and Bianca pasta. It was delicious, I didn't like the chicken but everything else was spot on. We also got the tiramisu for dessert... OMG. I haven't had a gf tiramisu EVER. It was AMAZING! Not too sweet with the perfect texture and coffee taste. One of my favs to visit

Yelp
Tried this place on a trip to Arizona because they had a vegan menu. I love the vegan menu, and I appreciate all the options they had for me. However, a lot of their listed ingredients I have at home (aka they're not homemade at the restaurant) and my very small meal was $55 prior to tip which was by far my most expensive meal in Arizona (and while it was good it wasn't my best meal in the state.) I think the food is very overpriced as someone who has been vegan for 10 years and has eaten all over the country. I got the wings- they weren't wings per se but delicious, and the kale/pesto warm salad, which was just okay, plus a Dr. pepper. Service was outstanding, no complaints there at all. Nice ambience, just wish it was more affordable.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon, and was excited to try it because they have a lot of dairy free options. The issue was my meal came DRENCHED in sauce, I got a quinoa bowl.. didn't realize it came in the form of a stew. The service was slow and not attentive. I personally have no desire to revisit this place.

Yelp
I have been going to Picazzo's for a while - since I moved to AZ (and discovered that Picazzo's has a full vegan menu)! I go often to the one in Sedona - after a hike (at least once a month or once in 6 weeks). But, this is about the Scottsdale one today. I had to go in this past Friday. I had a *WONDERFUL* experience - even better than usual. I went in for the PI day deal - but I was too late. But my mouth had been watering for the vegan cheese breadsticks (I *always* order that!). I also tried the new quinoa bowl - *excellent*! Maggie, the server - was *FANTASTIC*! Not only she helped with a number of things, she was the one who noticed that I had a bunch of coupons in the app. That was definitely beyond what I would expect of her. (I should look at the app more often) Also, the GM, Nick, was very friendly. She is the one who recommended the Quinoa bowl. All in all, amazing food as always. And wonderful service! Thanks, Maggie (and Nick)!

Yelp
My son and I stopped in for lunch yesterday as he was craving pasta. The menu had a nice offering with a lunch combo section, plus we got a side of the Italian wings (more of the flats please, lol). The portions were larger than expected, we were so full as we added a side of soup with our pasta. Our waiter was very nice. The chairs were super comfy and I NEED them for my kitchen!! We will def be back to try some other things.

Yelp
This review is LONG overdue. What more could I say other than I wish Picazzo's opened locations nationwide! I've been coming to this location and Sedona since 2013 and I knew I was in literal foodie paradise the minute I stopped in and saw the words, "organic","non-gmo", "gluten-free" and "vegan". The values of Picazzo's aligned perfectly with mine and it certainly doesn't hurt that the food is INSANELY delicious. I wish I had taken more pictures of all the amazing pizzas, pastas, drinks and other dishes I have eaten. I'll be doing a review of the Sedona location as well as service and ambiance differ a tad, but the Scottsdale location is fresh, modern and really spacious. Their outdoor seating can be a tad loud at times and I recommend dining inside during the summer months (you'll thank me). They do have heaters in the winter. Service has always been friendly, accommodating and always taken my allergies seriously which I appreciate immensely. They offer gluten-free and vegan crusts (I'm allergic to eggs so I love that they have this option) and it's honestly one of the best pizza crusts around, and you can customize your pizza. If you aren't I highly recommend the "Naples Margherita" and the "Nonna's Favorite". Their pastas are fantastic and they are more than happy to accommodate swapping for gluten-free pasta (the "Pesto Ravioli" is insane). I used to pop in all the time for their happy hour and get the "Avocado Toast" on GF/Vegan bread and was one of my favorites. Don't even get me started on how good their desserts! The "Hot Apple Crisp" and "New York Style Cheezcake" are BOMB. Picazzo's will always hold a special place in my heart and I wish they'd open in CA as well! Please, i'm begging you! Thank you for sticking to your ethical foodie values, while also providing excellent quality dishes. Love you guys!!!

Yelp
The ambiance was super cute and it was a great spot for lunch! We got the bread with oil and balsamic and the bread came straight out of the oven and was so fresh!

Yelp
It's been a while since I ate here. I forgot how much I like it. I love their vegetarian options for me and vegan options for my daughter. Such a great selection/menu. I also love how I can order gluten free pasta. I ordered for pickup this time. I ordered their quinoa bowl and added broccoli and carrots. It was so delicious and great flavors. That curry taste is light and well balanced. We also got brown rice penne pasta with beyond sausage and pesto sauce. Wow! It tasted so good. This is going to be my new fav place to eat often.
google avatar

Cassi D.

Yelp
The service was amazing and you couldn't even tell that the pasta was gluten free!! Obsessed
google avatar

Arlene C.

Yelp
My all time favorite pastime, lunch! I always order their chicken piccata. They must put crack in it because I crave for it all the time LOL! Service, seating & ambiance is good!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the fact that you can get a table here with good food and good service. Nonsense to wait an hour for a basic meal in Scottsdale. Pizza was good to good plus... focaccia was so-so but not bad... needed salt on top. Service was good and friendly and the parking is easy with no valet required (yay!)
google avatar

Yelp
The staff was very attentive and helpful. We were seated immediately, when we arrived they were about half full. My brother-in-law and I decided to have some of the Baked Wings to start. Our mistake was when our server asked if we wanted it as an appetizer or entree. We were wondering why the wait seemed a bit long by the time we got the wings. Later our waiter explained that the wings are baked fresh and as an appetizer they take longer. But they were worth the wait. We had the spicy Thai peanut. They were not spicy hot but they were delicious. On our last one we put the crushed peppers on it and that kicked it up a notch! Most of us ordered the lunch combo. Wife and sister-in-law ordered the house salad and a slice of pepperoni with red onion. I ordered the house salad and the Spicy Thai Peanut Chicken Fusilli. And it was so good! Of course I added some of the crushed peppers to kick it up a bit. Everyone was quite pleased with their dishes. We will certainly be back for more!

Yelp
The most part, food and service is good. The atmosphere is casual dining. It's a good place for lunch. I ordered the pizza slice and salad. Kale salad was fresh. However, I do have a complaint about it. There was so much raw garlic in the salad dressing That it is overwhelming. It is 24 hours later and I still reek. I don't understand how doing that is OK, knowing the people have to go to work and interact. It's just really gross. If I had known, it was like that, I would not have ordered it. You are not the only restaurant that does that. There are 1000 other spices you can use besides the raw garlic. I understand it's easy to get heavy handed with the garlic, especially if it's pre-chopped. Onions as well. And, I don't want to have to cross you off my list as a dining option.

Yelp
This place was everything I'd hoped it would be. The staff was so friendly- the hostess really took the time to make sure we were comfortable with where she was seating us, turned in heaters and even offered to let us borrow some blankets she had in the car if needed, she was so genuine and caring. The outside was warm with the heaters and we all felt comfortable. Our server was great, we put in our order and had a few others join us at different times and she was very attentive. I had the hit honey fig and salami pizza on cauliflower crust which was amazing. Everyone that tried it last night really liked it. My friends ordered some other pizzas and the spicy Thai chicken pasta which was good too. It was interesting having peanut sauce on that type of noodle was delicious anyways. I hope to be back to try the chicken Parmesan and chicken piccata, the table next to us ordered them and they looked even better.

Yelp
Yummy food! Enjoyed the lunch combo - I tried 2 different things: peanut thai pasta + walnut salad

Yelp
So many things we loved about Picazzo's - the restaurant was beautiful and relaxing, the service was friendly. Love the concept of a healthy italian kitchen, but the food was only ok. We tried both pizza and pasta dishes. The crust on the BBQ chicken pizza was great and we loved the all the fresh herbs, but the chicken was a little rubbery and tasted reheated (which is not an appealing flavor to us). Great option if you have a lot of dietary restrictions in your group, but maybe only an ok option if you do not. Rounding up to 4 stars for my gluten-free friends.

Yelp
My husband and I drove past this place and wanted to try it. As we walked in, we were greeted by a smiling young lady at the front who seated us near the bar. We received two menus, one for regular food and another for vegan options. We decided on the vegan menu only; I ordered vegan meet-balls, vegan kale salad with white bean soup, and my hubby ordered a Vegan Tuscan chicken salad. We were so excited, like kids in a candy store. We had no clue what we were about to eat, but we couldn't sit still. Finally, the server placed our plates in front of us. WoW, the food looked amazing. The marinara meet-balls were fantastic; it's not meat, so it's not going to taste like meat, but it's a pretty good substitute, but the marinara sauce is exceptional. I can eat a bowl by itself. The spinach and artichoke dip is so good; it's fresh spinach with creamy cheese, nothing vegan about this one. My kale salad and white bean soup were so good. The soup was warm and hardy; the salad with good, but the dressing was garlicky goodness. Of course, we had dessert; Apple crumble with vegan dairy-free ice cream, WoooooW, I should have ordered two instead of sharing with hubby, lol, next time. We also ordered drinks at the bar, delicious beverages made by Nick, the bartender. He made those drinks with love; the composition was smooth and lite, and the sangria wasn't too sweet. Yummy! I'll go back to this restaurant that made me fall in love with the word VEGAN!

Yelp
This is my third time with PHIK & first at this location. Same great customer service, delicious Vegan Italian dishes & price points. What makes PHIK so dope is their two menus - one for Vegans & one for Meat eaters. The kitchen also has a dedicated prep/cook area for all plant-based orders. This was a To-Go order & got the same thing from Tempe's location - Vegan Chicken Picatta as I can't get enough of this dish...so good. I also took advantage of the Pizza Slice of The Day. The only thing was the pie was already prepped with regular cheese, yet the kitchen did me solid & I got my slice with Vegan Cheese. I'm still in town for a few more months giving me ample time to visit other locations - Phoenix, Sedona & Gilbert. Especially to take advantage of their Happy Hour. Great experience across all fronts...two locations & counting.

Yelp
It had been a few years since eating at Picazzos and I am pleased to say it seems quality has definitely improved. Food was delicious. The Thai Chicken pasta had the perfect amount of spice and was peanuty good! I loved the lasagna - so perfectly cheesy and saucy. I can eat gluten, but eat mostly gluten free in support of a family member. I am telling you that you can't even tell this food is gluten free. Gluten free food has come a long way over the years. Don't forget to get the cookie and ice cream for dessert and maybe some tiramisu to go! (couldn't help myself!)

Yelp
I've tried almost everything on the menu - everything is great! The pizza, appetizers, salads, and desserts and especially yummy! Service is always amazing and they are always so friendly and accommodating. I love that they have an almost 100% gluten free menu and I never have to worry about what I am ordering here. I do think the side salads are overpriced and the prices increased recently, but I do still get them.

Yelp
Picazzo's never disappoints! My first time at this location and great service, clean ambiance and such yummy food! I haven't tried much on the menu because the pizza and Italian salad are such a yummy combo they've become my go-to dishes! Thanks for being such a delicious and reliably great spot!

Yelp
Horrible.... DO NOT Eat here!!!! Pizza was Awful even After we took the Leftovers Home. My Thai Peanut Pasta Dish was Not Good after a few bites... took the rest home feeling it good the Next day.... Boy was I Wrong and this was Last Sunday Night. Our Cheese Bread and Tomato Sauce Dip was REALLY good... that's about it. Cocktails were good but Bathroom was Dark and could have had better Lighting. Music was Loud in the Bathroom too and No Paper Seats for those of you who maybe like that. Too Many Gnats or those little Flies. I...We...my Husband and I will never go back again. They also have 2 Menus... One is " Healthy Vegan Italian "... the Other is a Regular menu for Italian that is Not much better I'm sure. You get Confused of what item is on what menu... Too much reading when your hungry.

Yelp
Poor food, poor service, lunch took way too long, 30 min too long. They're too busy to give quality food and service.
