In October 2013, there was a gentleman just being absolutely obnoxious and taking over the entire community table. He was eating from other people’s plates and taking dibs on seats. At one point he stuck a whole filet of fish with the skin in his mouth. 5/5 highly recommended.

Over priced. If you're going to serve me anything on a stick it better be wedged between a piece of gold. Just kidding. Food wise--the taste of everything was on point. My favorite was the fried duck leg with cilantro rice and the steak tartar. Steak tar tar is composed of raw beef which is definitely an acquired taste. Also ordered the cod and the sea urchin paella and did not think it was anything impressive. However--$7 dollars for valet just to park my car across the street? Hmm not about that life. The Bougie foodie life is appealing but make sure you're not getting completely ripped off. $17 for a small bowl of anything is not worth it.

Picca is the best restaurant I visited this year! Peruvian and Japanese fusion is the most exotic cuisine I've had! So, my cousin came into town and wanted to try a new restaurant so we ended up at Picca. My first impression walking in was wow, this is a romantic spot for a date. It's dark, candle lit, and very intimate. We had a few items on the menu that were all very satisfying and I could't stop indulging on the food. The portions are small like tapas style but it's perfect because you can enjoy a variety of quality food over quantity. We had the CEVICHE CRIOLLO Seabass, rocoto, canchas which was not your typical ceviche dish. It was sushi cevich! Yah! ANTICUCHO BLACK COD miso anticucho, crispy sweet potato, delicious but small portion. CHORITOS black mussels, smoked bacon, aji amarillo, this was delicious with dipping sauce to die for! ARROZ CON ERIZO peruvian paella, seafood medley, sea urchin sauce, ok I DIE! This was amazingly tasty with sea urchin sauce kicker! We had other sushi dishes as well. And I had the avocado cocktail, forgot the name but it's a must try! To top it off with a great dinner, we also sat next to Pau Gasol!!! He was the most friendliest and awesome guy! I got to meet him while debating back and forth with my cousin if we should bother him while he's having dinner. We wanted a picture with him but we knew it will cause a scene in the dark romantic ambiance. The only complaint we had was our waiter was a bit rude and he was not as attentive as we hoped. We asked for bread and he never got back to us so we had to ask another waiter. Granted, the night we went was a bit busy but thatls no excuse. Overall, dinner was amazing and seeing Pau Gasol was wonderful! I would go back but on a date! Restroom was upstairs. Parking - there's valet or park over at Ralphs and go buy something. Make reservations and you'll be good to go! Not for groups or kids.

Did you know that "pica" is an eating disorder where people eat largely non-food items? Well, to my astonishment, we were served delicious Peruvian tapas at Picca instead of pieces of glass and chalk. Already a plus in my book! The restaurant itself and presentation of dishes was beautiful and appetizing, and probably made me enjoy the experience more. Both of the small bites (causa and anticucho) are worth a try, but were so quickly consumed, that I can't remember much about them now. Ceviche was deliciously tangy and had a bountiful amount of seafood--highly recommend! Also, the fried chicken tasted like savory nuggets of deliciousness, but how can you really go wrong with fried chicken? My last favorite dish of the night was the braised oxtail stew, it was just good home-cooking and sopping up the sauce with house bread made it even better. Unfortunately, the paella was too rich and salty, and left me thirsty and chewing on some ice as I was leaving the restaurant...perhaps Picca and pica are slightly synonymous after all. You've got to try it for yourself to judge.

I've always wanted to try one of Ricardo Zarate's restaurants after learning that Zarate was named the Best New Chef in America by Food & Wine magazine. Dine LA was the perfect opportunity to try it with good friends. The decor was vibrant & the crowd, lively. The music was conducive to merriment, laughter & relaxation. The waiters helped us plan our choices in small plates so that every item on the Dine LA menu was ordered & we could try everything. The waiters we had were knowledgeable, attentive & passionate about the food. I loved all the dishes but my favorites were: the anticucho camarones, zapallo gnocchi, pescado frito, arroz chaufa de marisco & tres leches cake. I had 2 glasses of Chilean wine: the Calina & Root 1. Both were lovely. A friend tried their cocktail "The Tranquilizer" which was quite good. Now that I've had such a great experience, I can't wait to try Mo-Chica & come back to this restaurant!

While the food was quite tasty (ceviche divine, causa cute concept, a few standouts like the pork chicharron sandwich), we waited more than an hour to be seated after our reservation. New place kinks I assume. We were so hungry that I accidentally fed one of my friends inedible corn that I thought was a bar snack; in fact is was the base for decorative candles. They did comp us drinks and gave a discount...

I have never tasted food anywhere in the world that was as good as this. When I think of my favorite dinning experience in my life, I go back to Picca every time. They had this steak in uni butter that probably was the single best bite of meat I have ever had. It was ridiculous. And there pana cotta was without a doubt the best I have ever had. WOW! Was it perfect? Well.... no. This is like a testing menu in my opinion. I left wanting more food in me... I was still a little hungry. So is this a place you go to all the time when you want to eat. Probably not. Its a place to go to experience and feel things you have never never felt before. It's like disney land for your taste buds. I mean we all like the Magic Kingdom, but after a week with the kids, you just want to go home and eat cereal. That being said, I want Picca again right now.

Nice food to nibble on but the server was very rude and slow. We treated him with nothing but respect, yet he was continually short and rude and made it feel like we were inconveniencing him. Took about 30 mins to bring one drink to the table. Super Tiny Servings! The food is good but make sure not to go with an appetite.
