This is a fantastic Italian joint in the land of Italian joints left over in the south slope. All the pasta is homemade, the drinks were potent. The seafood risotto with lobster and muscles was simply delectable.

The food was delicious and the it was a nice cozy little restaurant. Definitely recommend to visit if you want some great fresh pasta dishes that are very flavorful. The polenta with mushroom cream sauce was delightful and the duck ragu as well!

This is such a cute, quaint place. The atmosphere is lovely. I came here with my boyfriend. I got one of the specials, a pesto gnocchi dish topped with burrata. It was delicious; my boyfriend got a bass dish and I haven’t had a fish that good that wasn’t sushi. Very well seasoned. Had some nice wine as well. We tried almost every dessert and my absolute favorite was the flourless chocolate cake. It was so decadent and the cream topping helped balance it out perfectly. Service was also 10/10. Taylor made sure we enjoyed everything. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The atmosphere was awesome! Tiny place but comfortable. We ate pasta and let me tell you they have a really good tasty one.

My sister and I, who traveled to Italy together, both fell in love with this place. You really feel transported, and Gabriel was part of that charm, just amazing. Loved the food and the drinks and they even made us a little special dessert, which was to die for. The inside space is quaint. The outside has three different Areas of seating, which also have heat lamps. Will be back often. I highly recommend.

Good food and atmosphere, but the service wasn't great. The experience was good overall; however, our server did not offer us the specials, but presented them to the party sitting next to us. All of which were more interesting than the standard menu items. We won't go out of our way to dine at Piccoli anytime soon.

OMG, can you say AMAZING meal at AMAZING prices? When I did my research for an Italian restaurant, let me tell you, about 500 came up in my search. Ok, I’m exaggerating, but no joke, there were SOOOOO many. How is a girl to decide? After reading reviews and looking at photos, I went with this one bc it looked authentic, and it sure was. The food was soooo good. I mean we ordered anything and everything. The four us shared two apps, ordered four individual entrees (this place doesn’t mess around with portions), we ordered three desserts and a bottle of wine. The bill was just barely $200. I don’t think they have cocktails but that’s ok, you gotta have your vino with the pasta. Service was top notch. I think it was the owner that was serving us, and he did not miss a beat. We were the last people there and never felt rushed at all. This one of the very few restaurants that we took the subway for. I originally wanted to try to walk to all our destinations (we were staying in Williamsburg) but this restaurant was well worth the trek. I will be back!

Hubby and I came here for dinner while we were in the neighborhood. I called up to ask about a table and spoke with Gabriel. He said to walk in and will see what he can do. He said that sometimes we may need to wait for a few minutes. We had a table quite close to another table, but that’s fine because the food smells so good! Our waitress named Taylor. She could be Taylor Swift’s sister or cousin. With that red lipstick, what could go wrong? Very pretty red! We had a nice arugula salad with a fantastic taste of half corn on a cob and sweet peppers on top with grated parmesan cheese. This salad was incredible! Get it! Pay it! Worth it! Then I ordered black linguini with crab meat. Another excellent flavor sauce is the crab meat mixed with Al Dante linguini. Now that’s how you prepare the best pasta! Just like the Italian cafe in our neighborhood too. Hubby ordered striped bass served with capers and spinach. I highly recommend all three dishes. We didn’t end our “food trip” with dessert because we were filled up. Believe it or not, there were no leftovers yay! That’s the way we do it: money for nothing, and the food’s not free! We had the best meals with excellent service from a look-alike Taylor Swift waitress. The whole team worked hard. A lot of actions here, super fast, efficient, ready to go and leave. You can stay longer, no problem, they won’t chase you out. Gabriel was so busy handling tables and was excellent at placing guests to their tables. He took care of the patrons very well! Thanks for the lovely dining experience! We’ll be back!

Went for brunch and loved the vibe plus attentive service. I got the eggs in red sauce with tons of bread and French toast. Great Ice coffee too

I love this neighborhood spot in our area. The food is on point and on Mother's Day Sunday, they were able to manage myself plus my kiddos. They were quick to prioritize my hungry kids' orders and we were served promptly. One of kids refuses to eat anything but penne alla vodka. So I kindly ask if they can make something close to that and they obliged :) We had dessert as well which was a bit of a miss and always room for improvement- the mini cannolis special of the day were a miss as the cookie had a weird flavor and the cream wasn't flavorful. We also ordered a Chocolate Tartufo and we really wanted to like it. However, the chocolate cake was off putting. We finished it of course. The staff were above and beyond friendly. I do love their risotto so I will be back!

I've given alot of 5 star reviews, but when I eat at a place like this, I realize I've been far too generous. This place is well deserving of 5 stars plus. Literally the BEST Italian food & service I've ever had, hands down. And I live in an area that has tons of Italian options but drive to Park Slope for this gem. I HIGHLY suggest over ordering. The GRILLED CALAMARI appetizer is seasoned to perfection and sits on top of arugula and marinated onions that taste better than pickled. The SPAGHETTI W CLAMS is the best I have ever had in my life. Again, seasoned to perfection. I have it every time I visit. The FIG JAM BRUSCHETTA appetizer is to die for. And get the TIRAMISU. It's more cream than cake & so well done. The staff is also beyond lovely. I need to slow down my visits for my waist line, but damn. This place is worth it.

Been here twice and really love this place. Watermelon salad and pasta last go were great. Smaller portions but so worth it.

Food was absolutely delicious and always on point. Tried to try everything on the menu but ran out of time while visiting my sister in Brooklyn. The service was always great and they were very friendly. The drinks were delicious and my favorite would have to be their risottos which were always flavorful. This cozy Italian restaurant sits right on the corner and has nice outdoor seating for beautiful sunny days. Can't wait to visit my sister and eat here again.

Randomly passed by this place with a friend and we were honestly blown away! Food (5/5): - I don't usually crave Italian food, but I found their pasta to be so delicious! We got the black spaghetti with shrimp and my friend and I devoured the entire thing. - We also got the chocolate cake and the panna cotta. The chocolate cake was wonderful and I loved the toppings they used. The panna cotta isn't your typical tart/sour treat. It was creamy and light, and I honestly enjoyed it so much (I usually don't like panna cotta) - Portions were decent and pricing was fairly reasonable/standard for NY Service (5/5): - Super kind, friendly, and attentive! - My friend accidentally sat on a chair with pasta sauce on it - They were very, very helpful in getting rid of the stain and making up for it Ambiance (5/5): - Cozy, romantic space! I decided to sit outside since it was a nice day that day - Perfect for small and large groups!

NY's Italian food scene is the best! I randomly picked this place while I was visiting Brooklyn solo for work because of the reviews and it didn't disappoint! Right when you walk up to the front, you can feel they put some love into the food. It's a small, cozy neighborhood feel. I literally felt like I was transplanted right back to Italy. The service is great and the servers are all so friendly! I decided to get the Shaved Brussels Sprout Insalate to start and the Rigatoni with Grandma's Bolognese sauce as my entree. The Brussel Sprout salad was a perfect starter to warm up my appetite. It was shaved so thinly with a nice light citrus dressing with some marcona almonds for added texture topped with a nice amount of pecorino Romano. I came here for the pasta and it didn't disappoint! The pasta is all handmade and has that perfect al dente texture you want from pasta. The sauce is hearty and savory....perfectly balanced to perfection! Oh so satisfying! Definitely the star of the show! Portions are big, service is great, atmosphere is cozy and the food is amazing! I will be back to try more dishes soon!

I'd rate Piccoli Trattoria four and a half stars. Super cozy, neighborhood pasta spot. Nice variety of house made pastas. Lots of intriguing options making choosing tough. I was torn between three and opted for the rigatoni with grandma's bolognese sauce. Rigatoni had the signature chewy texture of freshly made pasta. Bolognese was rich and meaty. A very comfy dish. We shared a few starters at the table including a brussels sprouts salad, raviolis, beet and burrata dish, and a squash special. Raviolis were filled with cheese and were my favorite of the starters. They came in a creamy sauce. I liked the selection of wines by the glass. There were about ten options with a nice variety and reasonable pricing. Always love a cozy spot with a solid wine selection of wines by the glass. Two gender neutral restrooms. One was handicap accessible. They were very busy on a Monday night.

Came here with my wife for a date night. We ordered one of daily appetizer specials. It was a burrata toast and it was really delicious My wife got the pasta with the clams and she was satisfied with that I had the pappardelle and it was good too. Normally, when I go to Italian restaurants, the portions are huge. But at this place, it is a healthy size so that you don't overeat which is not a bad thing! It is a cute date spot as well. Service was great

We made a reservation on Valentine's Day, and the host didn't ask anything and had us wait in the waiting area. We understood it is normal during holidays. However, the host came out after 20 mins and told the couple came after us "2 mins your table will be ready" then looked at us said "another 5 mins for you guys" and left. I said but we came first... Is it because we are the only Asian there? Super racist. The couple who came after us was nice and told us to go first and we did. We were assigned to the table right in front of entrance and it was super cold. while waiting for someone to serve us, there were two tables next to us leaving, I asked the host if we could switch table since I am pregnant and don't want to get cold. He rejected! Very rude. The food was good, but don't order risotto if you prefer fully cooked rice.

I came to Piccoli Trattoria for a birthday celebration a few weeks ago. We were a group of six and we were easily accommodated. The inside of the restaurant is dark and cozy while the outdoor area is actually very airy and attractive. There was nothing truly wrong with the food we ordered, it was fine. The homemade pasta was delicious and definitely a reason to order from here if you live in the neighborhood. My pappardelle with short rib ragu [$18] was well cooked and meaty. I also ordered the fig jam, prosciutto, gorgonzola on bruschetta [$15] which was nice. You can't really go wrong with meat, cheese, and jam on bread. My friend had the shaved brussels sprouts [$13] which was basically just veg with dressing you could barely taste. I ordered the tartufo [$10] for dessert which definitely tasted like it came from a freezer. I couldn't finish it, if I leave a dessert unfinished then we truly have a problem. Everyone in our party was satisfied with their food but the amount of money we spent didn't justify the quality. It came out to around $90 pp with tax and tip, not including the birthday boy.

You know what's sad? I tried to order from this restaurant for over an 1/2 hour. I called and they put me on hold for 7 minutes. Stupid me- I called again and they did the same. I was ready to order dinner for two, with appetizers. Yet I guess I wasn't worth their time. If you are too busy, say so. Don't leave people hanging. It's a shame that restaurants care more about orders coming through a screen than an actual person.

We came on a weeknight and had no trouble getting a table. We shared the calamari, daily special, ravioli, and two desserts. Calamari: I wasn't a fan, it tasted kind of like seafood pasta. Daily special (pork chops with fig sauce): the pork chops were very overcooked and tough, but the sauce was good. Ravioli: this was very good, 10/10 Tiramisu: also very good 10/10. Super creamy! Hazelnut semifreddo: 10/10. I'll give 3.5 stars. Not sure it was good enough to come back.

Can't believe I ever gave this place a low score. I guess because it was covid and we were eating outside? I absolutely adore this restaurant. It has incredibly hearty and authentic dishes at great prices, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the staff is welcoming. For a date night spot in the neighbordhood, you aren't going to find many better spots. 10/10 recommend.

Small Italian restaurant located in Park slope Brooklyn. There was indoor and outdoor seating. big heat lamp are over the tables outside. The menu consists of simple Italian food not the regular Italian American veal parmigiana but grilled squid with pesto sauce, prosciutto with fig jam and cheese bruschetta, black spaghetti with seafood, mushrooms fettuccine, butternut squash raviolis in a delicate cream sauce, striped bass with capers and lemon sauce and duck breast served with polenta. All these dishes were great. The black spaghetti with seafood was over sauced. The wine selection was small but had good wines. The panna cotta was good but the tiramisu had a thick filling. There were 4 in our group and everyone gave that desert a thumbs down. Service was excellent. Not over priced. Would I come back? Absolutely!

I've ordered so much delivery/takeout from here, and trust when I say their pastas are perfectly al dente and absolutely delightful. The rigatoni with Grandma's Bolognese sauce (all the damn stars for this one), spaghetti with Manila clams in white wine sauce, pappardelle with honey-braised short rib ragu, black spaghetti with wild blue crab meat... it's all fantastic. In late December I finally dined "in" with outdoor seating. COVID times and global warming make for a hell of a team. Luckily they had really strong heat lamps; so hot, in fact, that they could've cooked my dinner on my head. Right outta the gate, we got complimentary bread that was warm and crispy outside but fluffy inside. It came with a marinara and olive sauce that was cold but tasty. For appetizers, the buffalo mozzarella with roasted butternut squash and mushrooms with brown butter vinaigrette was steaming hot and comforting and went well with the refreshing chew of the mozz. The vinaigrette was divine; reminiscent of balsamic glaze but less astringent and more buttery and full-flavored. The fig jam, Prosciutto di Parma, and Gorgonzola cheese bruschetta had a tasty combo of sweet, salty, creamy, and slightly pungent cheese, but although I expected the bread to be firmer and crusty, it was soft and broke apart while eating. I'd had the goat cheese and scallion ravioli with black olive-tomato butter before, and it was just as delicious this time. The filling was light yet decadent, and that slightly briny, full-bodied tomato sauce was next level. The sweet potato ravioli with mascarpone cheese and sage, on the other hand, underscored my general aversion to sweet AND creamy pastas. It was a bit too cloying, and the cream sauce made this really heavy and not as enjoyable. Overall, I'm so fortunate to call this a neighborhood spot. And it's diagonal to Athena, another fantastic restaurant. What a corner!

I'm a fan too! Another five star review for Piccoli Trattoria. They must be getting bored from reading one great review after another. The food is delicious. The pasta is what impressed me the most, close your eyes and dream of Italy. Even better, the pasta is organic and homemade "from New York grains." The high quality shines throughout. The Sunday brunch is wonderful. I tried the French toast for fun, it was fluffy and moist. The fresh strawberries were a nice addition and contrast to the Hazelnut crust. The food tasted rich but not overly so. Visually beautiful presentations, even for takeout orders. Plan to dine in person next time, hopefully will be able to get a spot.

We love Piccoli. We were certainly very disappointed when we arrived and learned that we couldn't take part in the 10th anniversary pre-fixe which is the sole reason we booked a mid-week excursion to walk over (30 min) in the cold weather. We wished there was another email or some update clarifying that they stopped offering this short of the "end of the month" on the email. Nonetheless, the food was delicious and their heat was strong in the alcove outside. We had an arugula apple salad with gorgonzola cheese, duck breast bucatini, and pork chops -- all extremely perfectly made. We weren't disappointed at the end! Very good, prompt service too.

My goal is to become a regular here. My partner and I were celebrating a move to this neighborhood and we wanted to eat local and decided on Piccoli. The ambience is charming, it's cozy and dimly lit in a good way. The food was delicious, we ordered two pastas, both of which I would order again. Overall, excellent spot to eat at if you're in south slope, and save room for dessert!

Great little local place. The corner of 6th Ave n 15th st has great restaurants. Piccoli bring one of them. I love the decor too w gold tin ceilings n clever bar w using recycled doors. Our server Carlos was Great, friendly n courteous. The rigatoni bolognese was very heart perfect for cold weather. The papardelle short rib ragu was perfect w lots of meat. We complimented w Pinot noir ( the only one in the menu) All iSara us home made. Give this place a try! You won't be disappointed! Cheers !

A wonderful family experience. My youngest had a hard time finding a food that suited them. But the staff helped them find a custom salad that was amazing. We felt like the staff went out of their way to create an amazing ambiance with lighting, music, and all the waitstaff came to see that our experience was beyond what the price would suggest.

We ordered: Bruschetta with fig jam & prosciutto ($13) Roasted butternut squash ravioli ($18) Pan seared salmon ($28) Caramelized Brussel Sprouts ($9) The bruschetta was made with a type of whole wheat bread that was soft rather than crispy. I wish they put more prosciutto as the fig jam and blue cheese was quite overpowering. I have mixed feelings about this one! The salmon and the dijon mustard sauce paired well together. The butternut squash ravioli, however, was a show stopper! It wasn't too heavy, slightly sweet and literally tastes like fall. Like if a dish had to represent autumn season, this is it! So delicious, creamy yet light at the same time. Would come back just for this! The side of Brussels sprouts is also so good, no complaints. We sat outdoors but servers still managed to check up on us and refill our water which was nice. Each table also had a heat lamp in case it got cold!

It's been a while since I've done Italian in NYC - but this place is a gem. They pride themselves on their homemade, local grained pasta and I see why. We tried a few plates for the table then each dove into a plate of homemade pasta. Insalate: Baby spinach and strawberry salad had great balance and delicate flavors Arugula apple was my favorite - nice bite to the greens and the textures played well together. Shaved Brussels with citrus dressing was a bit bitter and my least favorite but still enjoyed it. I enjoy bitter but worth mentioning. Main: Papardelle with honey braised short rib ragu This was divine, I was going dairy light this day - which I was pretty successful at, but I'd recommended saying yes to the Parmesan on top when they ask. Side: Spicy broccoli rabe with Calabrian chili. The staff member described this as earthy and I would say that was pretty darn accurate. Cooked well - would have liked a lemon to cut the depth off the chili but I didn't ask and that's on me TLDR; If you're craving a well rounded plate of homemade pasta - don't miss this. Portions are slightly larger than expected and great for sharing. Seating: indoor and outdoor available - outdoor is quieter just FYI. Nicer for a larger party.

Sorry Very good food but not enough ! Maybe consider more than one meal because the prices are pretty low ‍ Had to eat again when I got home LOL ! I had the short rib ragu like I said delicious but where is the rest ? The cappuccino was very good and satisfying- nice large cup

We decided to come here while visiting our son. It's a cozy and charming little place. It was very busy with constant in and out of diners for a Sunday night. Only thing is that there is no waiting area so we had diners waiting at our backs, which was very uncomfortable. The appetizers and desserts were delicious and ingredients worked well. The entrees were good but not over the top. The bolognese was just ok, the sauce could have had been meatier. The black ink dish was very good, lots of clams. The cauliflower risotto was very disappointing- it was just a bland bowl of rice w some pieces of cauliflower. No real cheese flavor or seasonings. Service was excellent up until our entrees. The waiter never came back to ask how the mains were. All in all, it was a nice meal on a winter night.

The food is great and the service is excellent. Waited a long time to eat here, but there was always a line to get. Since the pandemic, it's not as crowded. It was definitely worth the wait.

The restaurant is in a really lovely location with lots of outdoor seating. The service was great! The food overall was good. The pastas are homemade and it did make the dishes more special.

If you haven't been here, you haven't eaten amazing food while in America yet. I'm not kidding, this is the best Italian food I've ever had in America. The restaurant itself replicates the look of an Italian restaurant in Rome I've been to, the servers were very kind and friendly, and the food was literally to die for. Absolutely incredible. Every time I come to NY, I will come and visit. There are no jokes in this review, that's how serious I am about how incredible this place is. How has Michelin not picked up on this yet?!

Squid ink spaghetti, clams, jumbo shrimp, calamari, with a tall glass of red, freshly baked basket of bread and and old world feel and ambiance always brings me back. Piccolo never disappoints. Soooo gooood!

Street parking only. Small tables. Good service. Quiet ambiance with oldies music playing. Tables were available on Easter Sunday at brunch time. There were plenty of brunch options, but we ordered from the dinner menu. Scrumptious food, particularly the red sauces, but small portions -- not family style. We cleaned our plates completely. It's a great place for a meal, but probably not if you want leftovers. We will eat here again.

The service for this restaurant is impeccable and friendly, but the restaurant is small and loud. Their main foods are pasta and I would recommend staying with it. Both pork chop and duck were fatty. I would try this place but not during busy times.

This was my first time at Piccoli Trattoria. It was a Monday at 4:30pm. I ordered the Black Spaghetti with wild blue crab meat, scallion, lemon and calabrian chilli aka Spaghetti al Granchie which is on the receipt but not on the menu. I enjoyed my meal while listening to music and watching the busy traffic outdoors. My meal was preceded with bread and salad. Everything was delightful.

The food and the service here was AMAZING!!! Had the cucumber strawberry martini and it was delicious! Taylor was are server and she was the sweetest! Highly recommend!

Every single pasta dish is amazing and I never liked duck before until I tried theirs! Yelp is the worst company ever. They tried to extort my business. I like to add that when I leave reviews.

Absolutely divine brunch here this afternoon. Opted for the pasta dishes instead of my usual eggs benny and was really happy with everything ordered. Pastas we ordered were rigatoni with eggplant, tomato and basil and homemade fettuccine with wild mushrooms, light cream sauce and pecorino Romano. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the symphony of flavors were spot on. Could not think of a better way to end our meal then with Affogato. Espresso with vanilla gelato and toffee crunch. I just love that we can get our caffeine fix mixed in with dessert all in one shot. Perfection. Also spot on were the staff who made us feel like family. A great big thank you to Sophia, our lovely and welcoming hostess, Ed our very friendly and accommodating waiter and wonderful and efficient John. Adding this place to my rotation.

We were going for a walk and lamenting that we haven't been able to eat at a restaurant for a while (unfortunately, we can't forget about Covid, so must dine outside; the winter months are tough with places packing up their outdoor tables). We passed by Piccoli and saw that they had tables set up outside. We were looking at the menu, and a person came out to see if we had any questions. Super friendly and super helpful. They sat us at a table outside and adjusted dishes to make them vegan. Everything was super tasty. We had a wonderful, long overdue date night. Thanks, Piccoli Trattoria!

For me, it's either terre or piccoli for best pasta in the area. We've never had a bad pasta dish. This place is far superior to others like pasta Louise. Not even in the same ballpark. We haven't strayed too far from the pasta so that's why only 4 stars. The inside dining room tends to get loud and it does feel a bit claustrophobic when it's crowded so I would recommend an outdoor seating. Service is decent but you can expect to be underwhelmed at times.

A rustic little restaurant with Sinatra music and delicious fresh pasta- I'd return! We were greeted warmly and seated quickly showing up a few minutes after our scheduled reservation. Salads were very good, apps were interesting. We very much enjoyed the shaved Brussel sprouts salad and the arugula, avocado, roasted pepper salad. We got the mozzarella with squash- it was about one quarter mozzarella and three quarters squash and mushrooms with a thick balsamic sauce. I admire the creativity but it wasn't something I'd order again. I believe their bread is made in house, which were unspecial rolls, but the fresh pastas were definitely the highlight of the meal. I loved the rigatoni with red sauce, eggplant, and mozzarella - the eggplant was thoroughly roasted and it all came together so well. The fettuccini with mushrooms was creamy and delicious. The butternut squash risotto was a hit, too. The only meh dish was the cauliflower risotto- just very creamy and one note. Overall, this was a really nice place to take my parents- I'd return and focus my carb budget on the pastas!

Great Italian Family style menu in an intimate setting. Very cordial staff that offers nice menu specials and comfort food for the soul. I highly recommend this nice restaurant.

Terrific little restaurant with energetic service. Not your typical "red sauce joint," the food was different but tasty, with good portions and not too seasoned, so you can add pepper and cheese to your taste. Service was gracious, but not over-bearing. Short but adequate wine list (they don't have a liquor license); same with their desserts. A nice place that every neighborhood should have.

Was a bit disappointed. Prices and relatively low or fair and the dishes sound and look good. But the taste was off. I had the duck special and immediately I noticed that there was way too much fat, they made no effort to render the fat... And the crispy fat on duck is usually one of the best things to enjoy, but not here because it was not crispy and not rendered... Then the spinach that it came with had gritty pieces in it, almost like they didnt wash it. The linguine with cream sauce was just ok, I felt like I could have made it at home with jarred sauce. I really was excited about this place, but it did not really make a positive impression. My wife's fish was good though.

I was here last weekend for Dad's kind-of birthday. Our table was in a dark but cozy corner spacious enough for our gut to roam freely without sucking it in. There's no shame in that. For appetizers, we ordered: - Mela (arugula salad) - Bruschetta di Parma (fig jam/prosciutto on toasted bread)  For the main courses, we ordered: - Spaghetti Calabrese (black spaghetti w/ shrimp) - Spaghetti al Granchio (black spaghetti w/ blue crab) - Anatra (pan-seared duck boobies) - Cotoletta di Maiale (grilled procini-rubbed pork-chop) Dinner was lit. That's bc Dad used a flashlight to see his food. My gf once said, "you gotta eat with your eyes first before you eat with your bigass mouth" - so there's that. Mom enjoyed the food so much she gave me an eerie look of approval, like my first A+. It was a rare sight. Dad on the other hand gave us a random biology lesson on the similarities bw chicken soup and turtle soup. It was weird. So there's that. Anyway, despite how dark it was in there, I'd come back for the food any day. Surf's up, Piccoli!
