16 Tongue-Numbing Sichuan Restaurants to Try in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"Malubianbian, which hails from Chengdu, serves skewer-style hot pot. The restaurant has a cult following and over 1,000 stores around the world. MLBB — as it’s often abbreviated — only serves its signature soup base, which contains 19 herbs and is topped with an additional dose of chile, onions, and sesame oil. Even its mild variety is considered spicy for the average person not from Chengdu. If you’re feeling adventurous, try the spicy broth and equally spicy chile dipping sauce. MLBB makes its Sichuan-style dipping sauce using a dried powder mix of minced chile and chopped peanuts. The server then adds a spoonful of the hot pot broth to the minced chile and peanuts to create the sauce." - Kristie Hang

"Malubianbian, which hails from Chengdu, China, serves skewer-style spicy hot pot. The brand has a cult following and has over 1,000 stores around the world. Google
Food was tasty and good price, but there was a caterpillar in my spinach!! Also found an aphid in the napa cabbage (I put it on the napkin). Some leaves of the spinach still had dirt. The cooks in the back need to wash the veggies better....

Google
Best hot pot place in Roland. So much food and value. The staff was very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Elisa for the hospitality!

Google
This is hands down the best hot pot restaurant in Los Angeles when it comes to value for money! First of all, the price is unbeatable—I usually go for the $29 per person Set B. The buffet has no hidden charges, which is a huge plus, and it includes all the sauces, snacks, and even some drinks. The quality of the meat is incredibly fresh, and the variety of ingredients is impressive. There are even 6-7 types of snacks available! Most importantly, the service is exceptional. Although they are a bit short-staffed and busy, they are incredibly generous with the meat and constantly check if you need more. Unlike other buffets where it takes forever to get more food, they are super efficient. A solid five stars—highly recommended! Don’t miss out!

Google
The lunch price is very affordable, and after tax and tip, it’s only $22 for all-you-can-eat. The selection of vegetables and seafood in the freezer is incredibly plentiful, making it well worth the price, and the quality is great. Definitely worth a try!

Google
Exploring new places for hot pot and picked this one to try. The selections of vegetables and seafoods were abundant. It’s included with the meat choice of combo. From the basic to the waygu beef premium. Order your cuts of meat through the servers and the rest is at the cooler for your picking. Mix your own dipping sauce at one of the stations. They have small selection of dessert items, very basic, fried milk bun served with condensed milk. It was a bit dry since it was sitting out for quite sometime, the red bean filling sesame balls were a bit stale. Service was great! We went there around 5:30pm on a weekend night and there was no waiting.

Chinese cuisine hot pot buffet. Relaxing and feeling good. Choice for your like.

Google
The main saving point of this place is the price. Nowadays you can't find an AYCE hot pot place for $23 per person. The meat selection is pretty limited per tier (that's how they get you) but they don't charge extra for the sauce/snack bar. They provide two types of drinks, lemonade and passion fruit tea. The lemonade that night was really off, so do avoid it. The passion fruit tea is alright, reminds me of the ones you can buy at the Asian Grocery Markets. The meat looked pretty good and not too fatty. Even the lowest tier option provides decent cuts of meat so overall this place is an alright place to come eat. For people who only want a discount on their bill, giving them a 5* on yelp or Google reviews provides a 20% discount. So be wary of the short 5* reviews.

Google
Amazing food and great selection in the fridge for self serve. Their spring rolls and side dishes are great. Only complaint was that it was a little slow with the meat but it was a full house so it's understandable. Overall Amazing and great price would go again.

Yelp
self serve bar, so you can get whatever you want, whenever you want started off with quail eggs, mussels, lamb, noodles & veggies. the wintermelon tea was delicious. the bar was consistently stocked thru the night. the servers came to check on us often, refilled our soups & took our dirty plates. lots of other hot pot places in the area but I definitely loved this one & will return

Yelp
Came here quite often and it's always been a 5 stars in my mind. It's a good place for hot pot for the flavorful Chinese taste. They have varieties of selection on meat. Very enjoyable. Service is great. Food and soup are good until latest visit, and cleanliness was why I give 4 stars since I enjoy the vibe here. Everything was going great until I found this 1 plastic string in the soup, thought was the string leftover from those vegetable holder net. However, I later found more when I scoop the soup. This could be from cleaning the pot and got stuck which is understandable but still very unpleasant finding.

Yelp
First of all, I love hot pot. It's such a comforting meal and an entertaining experience. Dying to go even in the heat of oncoming summer. This little spot near the supermarket has a humongous parking lot. No need to worry about that! AYCE at a very reasonable price point we rarely see now after the rise in prices everywhere. Their lowest option includes a smorgasbord of meats, seafood and veggies. It was more than ample for us. They also have some small offerings of salad and fried warm egg rolls and sesame balls, two choices of cold tea and passion fruit juice. Although dated, everything was really quite clean and pleasant. Definitely a winner. We will be back!

Yelp
PiChaiYuan Hot Pot is conveniently located in a strip mall with big banners advertising affordable lunch and dinner hot pot deals. We came as a party of two on a Friday night around 11pm -- great that they serve food until 1am, and the place was still buzzing. Service was friendly and attentive, and the space is brightly lit. They offer three meat tiers, and we went with the basic self-service option. It included pork belly, several beef cuts, lamb, shrimp, squid, and a wide selection of vegetables. We chose the mushroom and house broths. Unfortunately, the quality of the meat and seafood was lacking. If you're going to try this place, it's probably worth upgrading to the premium tiers for a better experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, when we came today. We choose the mushroom broth and the spicy broth. Both were well flavored and delicious! We chose their A menu and found prices good and selection decent. It wasn't a huge buffet bar, but for the price, it was good. They had some veggies, quail eggs, tofu, fish balls, and seafood like squid and shrimp. I also liked that they offered passion fruit, chrysanthemum, and winter melon tea too. Service was attentive and friendly. Parking lot was large and had plenty of parking. We will be back again!
google avatar

Zien T.

Yelp
The service is good even if they were busy! The ayce hotpot was so worth it with a lot of variety! They gave us free drinks too! The ambiance is kids friendly but of course parents should supervise the child since the pot is hot! I would suggest to make reservations. I will come back again!

Yelp
We came here for a birthday party and the staff was extremely friendly! We were able to book a reservation since our party size was 6 and up. Our reservation was at 6 pm however half the party ended up being late and the restaurant was extremely accommodating. They were also willing to hold onto our cake until the very end. It is all you can eat and the price is extremely affordable. Note: birthdays do dine for free so that is a plus! There is a bar where you can grab your own vegetables and noodles along with little snacks like eggrolls and chicken wings. You also grab your own utensils and sauce.
google avatar

Jacinda X.

Yelp
Came in on a Wednesday evening around 6pm and a wait quickly followed after we were sat down. We went with the Combo C and only stuck with the meat from that combo. The Wagyu Beef was delicious and was all we needed to make our dinner! They had a good variety of appetizers (eggrolls, sesame balls, donuts, ice jelly, chicken wings). I enjoyed their iced passionfruit tea and chrysanthemum tea. The broths are seasoned well and refillable.
google avatar

Alan K.

Yelp
I found this place through some sort of advertisement from Tiktok. There appeared to be three different price points for the AYCE. Since it was my first time here, I tried the least expensive once. With the lowest price point in meats, it does come with an assortment of broths to choose from. The restaurant was somewhat crampt. It was difficult to have to maneuver through the restaurant to get my food as I had to walk between seated people which was awkward and uncomfortable. The meats that were provided were okay. Although it seems to be a good deal for AYCE, the selection was okay at best. The service was pretty good as the gentleman that was helping me was very nice. It seems to be a little sketchy outside in the parking lot, so be aware of your surroundings when walking to/from this restaurant.

Yelp
Insanely cheap AYCE hot pot prices for both their lunch and dinner specials, especially if you choose their simplest A menu. Also open decently late at 1 AM too. Yes, it's cheap. Yes, it's open late. YES, there's unlimited teas (chrysanthemum, passionfruit, and a mysterious 3rd thing), comes with a sauce bar, and a snack/hot foods bar. Is it the cleanest most high quality place? LOL ABSOLUTELY NOT. But you're not here for that, you're here for everything else I've listed. Questionable cleanliness due to the self serve factor, floor is bizarrely slipper but not enough for you to fall, etc. But the staff does try their best to clear tables and clean up any messes and refill things as they happen. Their cheapest A menu comes with 2 different types of beef, lamb, chicken, and sliced pork belly, There are a couple different soup options, and you even have the option of getting 2 soups and there's no extra cost for any of the flavors. For the soup, we got the original broth and the hot and sour soup. Hot and sour was the fav as the original was a tad bland (fixed up quickly by adding in the cilantro and chopped chilies from the sauce bar). We ended up trying everything except the chicken. Pork is thinly sliced and boils white, but not bad. Most of our meat ended up being their beef and lamb, which is perfectly fine, but a couple seconds overcooked it becomes chewy. For veggies and other self serve items in the fridge there was various seafood, veggies (love the baby corn), tofu (tofu skin, fish tofu, etc.), quail eggs, corn on the cob, potato, kabocha pumpkin, etc. Just wish that they had full size chicken eggs. For the snacks/self serve hot and deli area there's seasoned peanuts, cucumber salad, tea eggs (I think...), fried buns and condensed milk, egg rolls, etc. Good amount of food to go with your non-hot pot meal. Servers were quick to grab dirty dishes and ask us if we needed more meat, as well as refill our broth. All in all a great place for super cheap AYCE hot pot later at night.

Yelp
I tried their AYCE hot pot and it was an overall decent experience. Got the medium broth and it was super spicy. Lack flavor but it was okay. The ingredients were fresh at the buffet area. especially the vegetables, which is always a plus. But the meat was frozen. Few good selection of sides to pick. The service was attentive. The staff were friendly. The ambiance was comfortable. Price is reasonable for what you pay for
google avatar

Yelp
PiChaiYuan hotpot is so worth it. For AYCE, the price is so reasonable. With 3 tiers, the most expensive at $38 and least at $25 during dinner is great. My SO and I checked this spot out because we were disappointed that Hai Di Lao ends their AYCE after 5pm. Got here with a little wait but we were seated about 25ish mins or so after check in on their IPad. They were pretty attentive and kept everything in stock. You get to automatically choose 2 soup types, both of which were good and spicy. Even for mild spicy, it had a good kick, so be warned . Decent selection of seafood, veggies, drinks and other apps. You are allowed to order 3 plates of meat at a time. We stuck with the ribeye and enjoyed every minute of it. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're not looking to send $50+ per a person and just want that OG hotpot experience. The restaurant isn't the biggest but the parking lot is.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
PiChaiYuan Hot Pot is AYCE Chinese hot pot place. Their soup base is less on the flavorful side as they emphasize on the taste of their meat and other items along with making your own dipping sauce. Their price is really reasonable for AYCE dinner price. Set A is $24.95 pp and Set B is $29.95 pp. The difference between each set is their quality/selection of red meat. Besides the beef, lamb, and chicken, the sets also include self-serve seafood (squid, clams, mussels), and veggies. Their service is very attentive and efficient. This restaurant is located in a plaza with ample amount of parking spots. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Lauren T.

Yelp
So apparently you can start hiding all the bad reviews on yelp???? Looked on yelp and saw only good reviews and saw the price was only $17 for AYCE so we said why not give it a try. Turns out, there is a reason why they hide all their bad reviews. Although the price was unbeatable, the whole environment just felt unsanitary. Communal tongs and people coughing in their hands. Food just sitting out, multiple dirty plates, bowls and tongs. I really wanted to enjoy it since it's $17 pp however it was hard considering the environment and cleanliness.
google avatar

Ariel L.

Yelp
I am a PiChaiYuan hot pot lover! The value is actually just so good! $17 for ayce hot pot is such an insane deal right now. Obviously at this price, you're not going to get A5 quality but their quality is not bad at all! I think it's still very yummy. They have so many options ranging from chicken wings, vegetables, seafood, tofu, juice, and more. I highly recommend their spicy broth and hot & sour soup. The only con I have is their broth can get really oily, where it covers your veges in oil. They also have an extensive sauce bar. The servers are attentive and clean up your table, add broth, and adjust the heat when needed! There's always such a long wait time so be prepared to put your name down and wait for a bit. There's lots of parking and a grocery store nearby if you want to shop while you wait.

Yelp
Cheap no frills no fuss Chinese style hot pot served in a giant pot. Everything is buffet style which is great and they have a good sauce bar as well as other hot food and cold food options like wings and pig ear salad.

Yelp
The place was awesome!!!!!!!! Food was sooo good and the price is excellent:) I'll definitely go back again and definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

Siao Z.

Yelp
Service was extremely good. They immediately sat us, took our meat order, and came back over and over again when they see the meat plate empty to ask if we need more. I went on a Friday right when they open at 11:30am and there was for sure no wait. They started getting busy around 12pm. It was almost full house. It was around $17 per person (cheapest menu). Definitely worth the price with the amount of variety they offer. The peanuts they had were very addictive! I love it! Hot and sour soup was delicious. No regret giving this new affordable place a try. Would come back again!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Food quality is what you pay for -- not bad at all but not amazing either. Can't complain about the price though! If it was just based on price & serviceI'd give it a 5. Option A was only 17$ for AYCE. We got the tomato and herbal broth, both of which were super flavorful but also had lots of msg. Meat is self serve for option A. They have sauce bars and hot food as well (like the chicken wings) Overall, no complaints but don't expect anything super quality.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
If you need a quick cheap ayce hot pot fix, this is it. It will get packed during peak hours, feels hot & busy inside; it becomes like eating in Asia minus the flies lol. For the value, the meat quality is alright ~ very similar to Happy AYCE in Rosemead. All the meats are good, just don't get #5 marinated garlic beef - tasteless in a hot pot and has an annoying texture. The spicy broth in mild has a great taste and the hot & sour broth is actually pretty good for the fish fillets and seafood items. The sauce bar is a bit lacking but the small amount of sides offered are all actually pretty good (pork ears, sesame ball, chicken wings, tea eggs, chrysanthemum & passion fruit tea). Cold fridges is where it's at. In one glance you will see an assortment of meatballs to tofu cubes/sheets, then looking further down, you see many veggies (napa, spinach, pumpkin) to mushrooms to even quail eggs. You get carbs in fresh/frozen noodle forms as well. I really like their fridge varieties, which compliments the broth quite well. The big dude serving, hosting, and bussing everything is commendable. He is Captain Hotpot. Not afraid to handle new tables while taking orders for current ones, he even remembers who ordered what. The one-man army carried ~20 plates of meat and managed to give them all correctly, I'm very impressed by his efficiency and demeanor in handling 15 tables at once, didn't even flinch or rest. They need more servers. This place is about value and it does it right. You won't get everything you want (cold AC, vast side selection, fine-dining interior), but you will get full for sure.
google avatar

Peggy S.

Yelp
Affordable for ayce hotpot and the broth is good. Veggies, sauces, and seafood were all self-service and all were pretty fresh. The only downside is it was HOT; they said the a/c was on but it felt like a sauna in there. I don't suggest coming here during the summer months; you might have a better experience during fall/winter time. Servers were all friendly and attentive; we ordered a plate of ribeye in the end which we waited for about 5 mins; but we both were too full so we changed our mind and asked the server to cancel the order. Instead of getting frustrated, they just apologized to us for the wait.
google avatar

Linda W.

Yelp
Place is decently clean, all the self served items and area is neat and clean. The seating between two of the tables were kind of awkward and made it really uncomfortable to sit making my knee hit the gas tank constantly as i adjusted. The food was alright, the lamb was tender but the rib eye was a bit too tough even though i only cooked it for 5 seconds. love the condiments variety and drinks. I love chamomile tea so it was great to have that endlessly. Soup base is normal and also good that it isnt filled with grease, i like the mushroom base. Clear and tasty. I may not come again because I dont particularly enjoy AYCE but if you do like AYCE this is a good decent pricing AYCE hotpot.
google avatar

George H.

Yelp
Back again since they reopened and food is just as good as my last visit. Service is not as good as before, but still adequate and not much to complain about. They seem understaffed. Ambiance is still the same except now you have to get your own meet from the service counter when order combo A.
google avatar

Hock Seng Z.

Yelp
OMG, you guys! Hot pot AYCE for only $16.95?! And we get to order THREE meats each time?! That's such a steal! ‍ Who's down to stuff ourselves? The service is also speedy and the staff are very polite! Free drinks (chrysanthemum tea and passion fruit tea) and sauce are also included. In terms of the ambience, it is a pretty chill environment. This deal is only from 11:30 to 4:30, so let's go! #hotpotlover #ayce #fooddeals

Yelp
It was really a surprise! First of all, the environment of the restaurant is very comfortable, spacious and bright, neat and clean, giving people a very relaxed feeling. Although it is a self-service form, the waiter has always been very careful and enthusiastic to help to ensure that we have a pleasant meal. The variety of ingredients in hot pot is very rich, including meat, seafood, vegetables, soy products, etc., and the freshness is very high, especially beef and mutton. The thin slices of meat are super tender, and it is very delicious after cooking. The seafood is also very fresh. Shrimp, squill and squid are all delicious, and it is full of fresh fragrance after a bite. Moreover, the ingredients are replenished in a timely manner, so you don't have to worry about empty plates. I especially like their self-service seasoning table. All kinds of sauces and ingredients can be freely matched, completely adjusted according to personal taste. Spicy or light taste can be as you like. The most surprising thing is the price! With this quality of ingredients and service, the price is really good value for money and super cost-effective! If you want to experience an affordable and delicious hot pot feast, I definitely recommend you to try this restaurant. In a word, I am very satisfied with the hot pot experience, and I will definitely come again next time!

Yelp
Came here for the first time and was very ecstatic with the restaurant opening to late. Their last call is at 12am which gives customers a lot of time to eat and not feel rushed. Spicy Soup (Medium) 5/5 - I am a very big fan of spicy and I will have to say that this broth was packed with flavor and spice. I wanted more mala and spice, so the waiter provided me with more spicy oil and sauce to add into the soup. Hot and Sour Soup 5/5 - This was my favorite soup out of the two broths chosen and it was also very flavorful. It was not too oily and in your face which I liked a lot Overall, this restaurant was very good for a late night hot pot spot. The price was also very cheap and reasonable as they also provided a lot of vegetables and extra meats to choose from in the fridge. I chose the Combo A to which the beef and pork were the best out of the choices and the meats were very tender. For an added bonus, they also provide winter melon and passion fruit juice to drink as well for free.
google avatar

Annie F.

Yelp
This is going to be one of my go-tos for hot pot from now on. The price is affordable and worth the quality of the food as well. There's plenty of meat options, seafood, veggies, and a huge sauce bar. There's also a little "appetizer" and pastry section too. The service was good, nothing fru-fru over over the top, and the mood as loud but not overwhelming. There is usually a wait, so expect that.
google avatar

Betty M.

Yelp

Yelp
This was our third visit, we were sat quickly and the service was very good. Unfortunately the meat selection has gone downhill. The Premium Angus Ribeye was oddly light in color and had nearly no marbling, so light in color I thought it was pork. The garlic marinated beef had a terrible texture and flavor, really bad, couldn't eat it. The USDA choice beef was the only decent meat I ordered, wasn't happy with the meat selection and likely won't be back because of that. The seafood and vegetable offerings are great as well is the sauce bar. We also liked the juices.

Rosalyn Y.

Yelp
Went there on Monday for the lunch special ~$18 ayce. Plenty of variety. Some drinks and even dessert were included. Service was prompt and friendly. Great value for the amount paid. Will return.
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
The food was fine, however our party of 2 ordered the $17 per person ayce hotpot, but the bill ended up being $54 before tips. Make that make sense to me. So if you plan to eat here, just know there are hidden charges added.
google avatar

Phil Y.

Yelp
$17 for their combo A for lunch, and $25 for the same combo for dinner. PiChaiYuan Hot Place was a very good place for us to enjoy a couple of good meals. I've been here for lunch and dinner. The menu seems the same even though lunch is cheaper. Meats are ordered through the wait staff. Everything else (vegetables, seafood, noodles) were in refrigerators. They have a small sauce bar for you to mix your own sauces. Chicken wings and sesame balls are available as sides. They have chrysanthemum tea and passion fruit tea. Service was good both times I went. They cleared plates and brought out meats quickly whenever we asked for more. The meats were good and was not full of fat or gristle. PiChaiYuan was a good place for us.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
I came in with pretty low expectations, but honestly, this spot surprised me. For just $25, you get a solid variety of meats, veggies, noodles, and broths to choose from. Everything came out quick and fresh, and the portions were generous for an AYCE setup. The broth I picked had a good kick, and the dipping sauces they had on the side added a lot of flavor. Service was fast and friendly, and they kept the food flowing without any issues. Is it the best hotpot I've ever had? No. But for the price, it's definitely worth checking out when you're craving hotpot and don't want to break the bank. I'll be back for round two soon. Solid value
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of hot pot! Not only is hot pot the perfect meal for a cold day out, it's also perfect for a wide selection of sides, vegetables, seafood, and meat. I love having options and a variety so hot pot is always a great idea! PiChaiYuan offers all-you-can-eat in 3 tiers. Personally, I believe Combo A is the best value. But if you want lamb, Combo B is the better option. I recommend the sliced youth lamb, the marbling and quality was superb! If you want a more lean option, the New Zealand lamb is just as delicious. As for the ribeye option, I would recommend the USDA premium Angus ribeye. When it comes to Chinese hot pot, my go-to broth is always a spicy mild, I can't handle spicy that well but I just love how flavorful the broth is and it adds so much more depth to the meal
google avatar

Grace P.

Yelp
We came here based on recommendations from a few YouTubers. The service was quite attentive. We chose the double-flavor hot pot for the broth. For the meat, you need to order it from the staff, but you can help yourself to the other ingredients. There's a wide variety of appetizers, and sauces. Aside from the floor being a bit sticky, everything else was great. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Really good ayce hot pot! Super value and they have a lot of veggie options and side options in the fridge area. Also has a sauce bar and sides for you to snack on (my favorite are their peanuts). The beef, lamb, and pork belly are all good for the price (considering it's $17 for lunch ayce). Will have to say that it's like eating in China. It can get a little musty inside, but the vibes are what I look for in a meal sometimes lol. Definitely a "you get what you pay for" meal but I'm okay with that.
google avatar

Michelle V.

Yelp
This place is a unique small hot pot place. Food is very fresh, hot, & delicious. Not too many options for the broth but many veggie options to add. The sauce bar is nice. I would definitely come back again :)))
google avatar

Diana L.

Yelp
This place is very economical for an ayce hot pot place. It's situated in the HK market plaza on Colima with lots of parking available. The herbal soup base was better than the hot soup base in my opinion. The meat and veggies were not phenomenal but they were decent. The side dishes were very blend though I'd recommend to skip. Chrysanthemum tea def better than the passion fruit tea which was too watery for me. Be aware of the 90 min time limit though - it wasn't specified to us and caught us by surprise.
google avatar

Angelene C.

Yelp
Can't beat the lunch special. Had no wait time for a party of 2 on a rainy Sunday. But it was decently busy. The broths were tasty, and the meat from Menu A was good for us. I did not like the style of where you get the vegetables, seafood, and sauces - but the quality was still good for the most part. I liked how the windows brought out the natural lighting in the restaurant, even though it was raining. The interior overall was very clean and decorated nicely. Bathroom was alright. Service was attentive and great.

Yelp
They were closed for a while and now that they're open again, their gfood are better. The meat are tender and seafood are fresh, no smell to the seafood. Some options for veggies and side dishes, including noodles and meatballs. If only the sauce station has better taste and more options then it'll be better.

Yelp
This is THE absolute worst hot pot restaurant I have ever been to. Seriously, I am 100% that every single review was bought or fake. This entire restaurant is dirty & disgusting. No AC, no open source air, and a bunch of boiling pots of water. The desserts are old & stale and the utensils and dirty & smell like detergent. Hopefully this place doesn't get anyone sick. Sorry, but why open a restaurant if this is how you plan to operate it.

Yelp
Most reviews may be fake. This restaurant offers 20% off if you leave them a 5 star review. I would not come back. I got food poising, I would say I have a pretty tough stomach... But I had the runs even before I left the restaurant. 3 out of 5 people in our party had food poising. Some like this restaurant, to each their own. Try at your own risk. When you walk in there is a kiosk stand for you to put your name down for waitlist. We stood right in front of entrance and they said they called our name multiple times for our table being ready which was a lie. Another party arrived after us and got seated right away, seemed like they know the staff there. They didn't add their name to the waitlist like other parties were. You get what you pay for, most of the veggies in fridge where you help yourself were out most of the time and they do not restock constantly. About half the veggie options were out for most of our visit, they restocked some items but others they didn't restock as it may be more of a cost to the restaurant. Out of stock included: wood ear fungus, daisy crown, quail eggs, bean curd, konjac noodles and more. They didn't restock those items until we were about to leave, we were there for about 90 minutes. Their meats do come quickly when you order with the servers. The spicy broth isn't spicy at all. Original broth is quite bland.

Yelp
Got a chance to try out PiChaiYuan Hot Pot with my girlfriend after finding out that Momo Paradise was booked. This place is fairly large and clean. You get a choice of multiple broths such as Original, Hot and Sour Soup, Tomato Broth, Mushroom, and Spicy Broth. They have different combos A, B, and C which serves different types meats. They also have a selection of appetizers (shrimp chips, wings, fries, rolls), a sauce station, and a variety of seafood, veggies, and tofu. Definitely love the vibe here and highly recommend it if anyone is interested in an authentic Shabu Shabu experience. Plenty of parking as well as they have a nice lot as it's in a large shopping center. Thank you for the service and delicious food options!

Yelp
found this gem while looking for a late night hot pot place and am so glad to have gone! they offer affordable ayce hot pot starting at around $25/ per person they have fridges where you can pick your own veggies and offer a small selection of buffet items such as wings and egg rolls. BONUS they even have wintermelon tea and passion fruit tea! ~Food~ the veggies itself are standard, nothing special. i do like how they have a bit more options of seafood than other places within the price range meat is all very tender and yummy. we opted for the lowest price ayce option and were still satisfied the broth is what i love the most about this place. we ordered the hot and sour as well as the medium spicy broth and they were both amazing! spicy was extremely spicy so i recommend getting mild and asking for extra spice on the side. i kept drinking the hot and sour broth cuz it was so good ~Service: friendly service ~Cost: $25+ ayce per person ~Parking: plaza parking available

Yelp
Bored on a Tuesday night and not wanting to cook, mother dragged me out in search of food. Arriving at 6:30PM, we received seating immediately, as the establishment seemed at half capacity. As an all-you-can-eat hot pot joint, the establishment has 3 different price points; higher price tiers offer more premium meats. I opted for the base price point @ $23.95 / person ($16.95 during lunch). At this price point, AYCE meats included sliced beef, lamb, pork belly, chicken, and garlic marinated beef. Vegetables and misc. other items resided in refrigerators that patrons could freely access. For the hot pot broth, I split the broth between medium spicy and mushroom broth. The mushroom broth, while not as concentrated as that of Little Sheep's, seemed decent enough. The "spicy" broth would have only tasted spicy to those that consider paprika spicy. It did have copious amounts of peppercorns, so it accomplished 50% of 麻辣 / sichuan numbing spicy. While I did not have the same expectations for the spicy broth as I would have at dedicated Sichuan hot pot joints, I at least expected some spice. Otherwise, the stock used in the spicy broth had similar concentration to that of the mushroom broth. The meats themselves also seemed acceptable. While sliced thin, they did not seem so thin that you think you're getting ripped off. The beef seemed lean, but the thinness worked to its advantage. Similarly, the lamb and pork belly slices' thinness helped temper their relative fattiness. Surprisingly, the wait staff seemed pleasant. They did not have the dismissive or passive-aggressive attitudes that I'd come to expect from neighborhood joints while growing up here. Every interaction seemed polite, and wait staff proactively checked on our table. While this hot pot joint isn't the pinnacle of perfection, it comfortably settles into the role of a neighborhood go-to. The combination of service and price point makes this an accessible and reliable option.

Yelp
Was craving hot pot, and decided to try this place out. I was definitely impressed with the fast seating time and a hard to beat price! We got seated right away although the restaurant was packed and chose the combo A ayce option and ate a ton of the beef short plate. What I also really liked about this place were the many noodles, vegetables, and other HITO pot sides were included. You get to walk up and choose what you want for your soup, and the workers are constantly making sure that nothing is empty. There was also another stand which included California rolls, tempura rolls, fries, and cucumber salad, which were all so surprisingly good! On top of that, lemonade and passion fruit juice are also included in the meal price! This place has a very chill ambiance and seems to be pretty packed. I genuinely enjoyed my experience here as there were so many fun side options and was definitely full afterwards. Will come back here for sure!

Yelp
The meat quality is good but super thin with a lot of fat. Price is in the pricey side. They charged for sauces so watch out. Overall, not worth the price. Service super slow. If that the price I rather go to Mikiya more quality meat. Won't come back.
