Counter-service hub featuring locally sourced burgers, hot dogs & handcut fries in 1950s-style digs.
"If you just want a burger, fries, and shake without thinking too hard about it, Pick Quick in Sodo is always the answer. Maybe their name’s subliminal messaging has something to do with it. Expect a nicely sizzled patty, really tasty soft serve root beer floats, and hand-cut fries that remind us of the ones from In-N-Out—only not so polarizing." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
"This roadside favorite, founded in Fife in 1949, expanded to Auburn before opening a branch in SoDo in recent years. It’s a slice of Americana, once chosen as best burger joint in Washington state by USA Today for its crisply charred burgers and hand-cut French fries. As a bonus, Pick-Quick has a wide selection of shakes blended to order, including ones with fresh, in-season berries. As the name indicates, you can place and receive your order from the comfort of your car." - Jay Friedman
"OK, Pick Quick is our 20-minute-walk exception (it’s a 26-minute walk). But if for some reason you're driving to the game, there will likely be absolutely no parking near any of the other spots on this guide, leading to you circle the block, scream some profane things, and eventually give up and have subpar chicken fingers when you show up very late. Don’t do that. Do the drive-thru at Pick Quick for some great cheeseburgers, fries, and soft serve root beer floats that will fill you up before kickoff. " - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
"We know people who claim they’ll defend Dick’s to the grave, and then they try a cheeseburger from Pick-Quick and change their mind. It’s a drive-through spot that serves burgers, fries, and soft serve root beer floats. Pick-Quick is great when you’re strapped for time, or when you don’t want your significant other to resent you for spending too much money on food." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
"Pick Quick's soft serve is creamy, not too sweet, and cement-thick. That’s totally a good thing—it stands up to chocolate dips, warm caramel, and/or a cup of fizzy root beer. This stuff is an ideal third wheel to a double cheeseburger and hand-cut fries, and more importantly, will not melt too much while you eat those other things." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
