Notable Seattle Restaurant Openings for January 2026 | Eater Seattle

"Positioned as more than just a place to hit a ball around, this new sports complex also operates as a bar and restaurant, serving what it calls “elevated pub food” under the guidance of noted restaurateur Ethan Stowell." - Harry Cheadle

Picklewood Paddle Club - Review - Sodo - Seattle - The Infatuation

"These days, even Seattle restaurateurs want in on the pickleball action. Ethan Stowell is part-owner of a fancy new indoor pickleball playground with courtside lounges, a full bar, and, of course, a restaurant. Expect smoked salmon dip, steak frites, and sliders to fuel up after chasing a plastic ball around with a small paddle." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Awesome first-time experience here! Booked a court for my sister’s birthday. The staff were excellent - friendly and welcoming. And honestly, for a Seattle establishment, that was truly refreshing. The interior space is well designed (from a pickleball amateur’s perspective), and though the restaurant was closed we still had access to ample seating and other lawn-style games. The burger wasn’t cheap but it was excellent, and the dill seasoning on the fries/ranch were a fun and delicious add-on. Will definitely be back and hope this place excels!

Picklewood is extremely well equipped for fun ambiance and good times. The attention to detail in every corner and floor is impressive and well done. Not only are the courts great but there is something for everyone to have a good time either before, in between, after or playing pickle or if you are there just there to watch including cornhole, ping pong table, large TVs throughout and well positioned bars and comfortable lounge areas. Though we didn’t have food this time because we played from 10-11am, we’ll time it better because it looked and smelled incredible. The family loved it and everyone had a blast. Can’t wait to go back.

This place is immaculate. A MUST VISIT. Amazing staff, fun energetic vibe, incredible attention to detail. And THE PRO SHOP. You won’t be able to leave without buying something. Food and drinks were great. We especially enjoyed chatting with Andy, the bartender. He went above and beyond. 10/10 Recommend!

New favorite spot!! 😍 Stop reading and just go! Okay, for those of you who are defiant and still reading (lol), this place just opened and already they have it figured out. *Phenomenal food (seriously, I'll be thinking about their fries and chicken club far too often) *Very welcoming staff who made it a great experience for a newbie (thanks Jared, Luke, and Kirby) *So much to do! Great indoor and outdoor courts, comfy couches to chill, multiple bars, TVs with sports playing, a ping pong table, corn hole, you get the picture. Needless to say I'm excited to come back! Thanks guys ☺️

What a fun concept of having indoor and outdoor pickleball courts with a restaurant! If you aren't familiar, this place is similar to topgolf, a place where you can relax and hang by playing pickleball and eat/drink! They also have beautiful merchandise as well! I really enjoyed the beautiful clean nice space, the place is spacious, friendly staff, and delicious food. I highly recommend and would come back!

Picklewood is OPEN and we highly recommend! We played a family game of pickleball for an hour and then hit the restaurant with our 9 and 11 year old for dinner. The food is upscale with a great adult and kids menu (kids loved the Mac and cheese and the burger), the portions are generous, and the drinks delectable. I tried the crab roll and it was delish! This is for sure going to be our go-to pickleball spot. Another highlight is the bar right next to the courts with lounge area for kicking back between rounds. Perfect spot for a family hang, event space, or parents night out!

Went to Picklewood with friends and was really impressed! We’re new to pickleball, but it was really easy to get set up and learn the rules. Once we started playing the time flew by! Having a server stop by courtside for drink orders was a nice touch. After our game, Gena got us a table in the restaurant for happy hour.  It’s nice to have a cool spot to hang out that isn’t just a restaurant or bar, a good change from our usual bar-hopping Friday night. Can’t wait to go back!

First time checking this place out. Serving staff was fun and engaging Rachael made us want to come back again. Definitely recommend trying the "pickle" fries. Next time we will have to sign up to play.
