Tried the Yuzu Matcha Tonic at Picnic on Sunset and loved it. Super refreshing—bright citrus from the yuzu, earthy matcha, and just the right amount of fizz. Light, not too sweet, and perfect for a warm LA afternoon. The vibe at Picnic is chill and minimal, with camp chairs outside and great people-watching. Definitely coming back to try more.

YUMMMM!!! This place has great quality food/coffee and the employees are so friendly. I got a Ube Matcha and a almond croissant. Both were absolutely incredible. I get almond croissants basically everywhere and this is the one of the best that I’ve ever had!

Just like its name, the venue did give that picnic vibe with array of seats outside, went along with the vibrant and bright colors venue. Very limited seats inside, but good thing was most people came and go briefly. Plenty of unique-flavored pastries were there, and I tried their Passion Fruit Kouign Amann that the barista recommended as his most favorite from the showcase. I made the right decision following the suggestion as it's simple yet delicate. Crispy buttery texture, complemented by sweet and refreshing passion fruit cream. I did wish there's more of the cream, as it's just at the center top. As I was craving for hot coffee, I opted for their Spanish Latte. I initially requested them to make it without cayenne as it's called out as one of the ingredients, but they told me it's just very little that you might not even taste it. It was surely true, I loved how my Spanish Latte wasn't overly sweet, perfected by the hint of cinnamon, and I could have it with almond milk for free substitution!

Coffee is good! Love the vegan Vienna with non-dairy cold foam. The ube latte is good too but not vegan friendly. Taking off a star for service and claustrophobic atmosphere. Definitely more of a grab and go cafe.

This is my Matcha spot. I definitely make the walk from my home to this amazing coffee shop. This is one of my favorite Vienna matcha. That cream foam with the salty top is my favorite. Also, their pastries are so good. They have an amazing croissant with passionfruit filling, which is chef’s kiss. I’ve been here so many times this year and the Matcha hits the spot every time. Also, you can find parking next-door for free. So if you don’t need to walk and drive there, no problem you can get your Vienna Matcha there.

I ordered the strawberry matcha and the almond yuzu croissant. For the matcha, I first tried it on its own before mixing in the strawberry. The taste a bit like seaweed (which I didn’t like), but once I stirred in the strawberry at the bottom, I was surprised by how perfectly the flavors matched! I highly recommend giving it a try. As for the croissant, it was the last one in the box, and the staff was very nice—they recommended I take it. I was impressed by its taste as well. I never knew that yuzu and almond comes together so perfectly. The store’s atmosphere is also amazing—the furniture, colors, and overall style make it feel cozy and relaxing, like enjoying matcha at home. I definitely recommend this place!

The Vienna is excellent. Really fluffy cream top, a touch sweet. They've crafted a really comfortable chill vibe here for being on such a busy street. Staff was really nice and they were speedy although super busy! Will definitely be back.

The staff is friendly, and every menu item is delicious. The cream on top of the Vienna matcha latte was amazing. My friends who came with me were also very satisfied, so we had a great time together.

I visited Picnic on a cold, foggy day and ordered the iced Vienna espresso latte and hot Spanish latte. The Vienna is only available iced but there is an espresso or matcha option! Next time, I'm definitely trying the matcha because the Vienna espresso was good but not the best I've had in LA. It wasn't too sweet and the espresso wasn't strong. The hot spanish latte was perfect for the foggy/cold weather in LA. I love when coffee shops don't steam the milk to be excruciatingly hot so when you first drink it you burn your tongue. I would say it was the perfect temperature and it was very delicious. The employee described the entire pantry case when I asked! They have a wide selection of interesting pastries including french style donuts and nutella croissants. Everyone was so welcoming and warm. I ordered the everything bagel seasoned croissant with cream cheese inside. Oh my gosh. I'm dreaming about it! It was perfectttt if you love the everything bagel seasoning. A great balance between salty and rich. Please try it! There is parking in front of MIXT next door which is why I would recommend Picnic besides the yummy pastries and decent drinks. The seats outside are picnic chairs which is very on brand. The aura inside the store was really cute and aesthetic but it's pretty small so there's not many tables to study/sit.

I got the Vienna Espresso latte. Really good but kinda pricey for the small size. $7 and I think it's the 12oz size. Very cute aesthetic inside and outside. Kinda small but there's a little bit of seating both inside and out.

Decided to hit up a new coffee shop in Silverlake and I totally recommend. Aesthetically it's very pleasing. Coffee was superb. Best lavender latte I've had so far! The most important thing is that the staff was very warm and welcoming which I very much appreciate. Nothing like starting off a good morning with good coffee and good vibes.

Such a cute coffee shop in Silverlake! The matcha is so good! They use Counter Culture coffee for their espresso based drinks. There is limited seating but they have a couple seats outside and 2 small tables inside. Free parking is available on the side of the building shared with other units.

Liked my vienna drink with matcha and bf liked his yuzu tonic with espresso! I really enjoy the sea salt in the vienna cream top here -- it is subtle and blends well with the sweetness of the cream without being overwhelming. The design of the inside is thoughtfully curated (furniture, select magazines which are an ode to fashion & LA e.g. a Kobe Bryant tribute), making it beautiful to sip and chat in. They offer a holiday menu here as well. Our cashier was kind. Happy with this addition to Silverlake :)

A super cute hot and new coffee shop in LA. I stumbled upon this place after having lunch around the street and had to grab a pick me up. The coffee shop is relatively small, but that doesn't take away from how good the matcha was from here. The drinks were delicious and you can tell the matcha was a high grade quality one. They have a couple of seats outside as well as inside, but not enough to be able to work from here. This is a good grab and go spot for your matcha fix though!

It was a sunny LA morning, so what better way to start than with cold espresso drinks? We ordered their Yuzu Tonic with espresso and Shakerato. Their Yuzu Tonic with espresso looked stunning, beautifully showcasing its layers. After mixing all the layers, it tasted even better. I am not a Yuzu citrus fan; however, it pairs well with espresso and tonic water. The Shakerato was delicious with its refreshing taste and the hint of freshness from the dried orange! Both drinks did the job and gave us the energy needed for a productive day. Continuing with the picnic motif, they had plenty of lawn chairs. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We enjoyed our visit, and we'll be back!

We checked out this new coffee shop in Silverlake and I always worry about parking in this area but good thing there's a parking lot next door. I got the matcha latte and hojicha latte with oat milk cause I normally like to get both. The matcha is very grassy and has a strong taste after each sip. It wasn't as creamy as I preferred cause I believe they use Minor Figures oat milk and that is more watery. The hojicha latte with oat milk was very roasty but still on the light side due to the milk. Overall the vibe was pretty chill. There's only a few chairs inside cause the shop is small.

Rounding up to 4.5 stars! Street parking is very difficult to find in this area. Small interior with limited inside and outside seating, so more of a grab and go or chatting with friends situation instead of a place to work/study. I ordered an iced spiced matcha latte ($7-7.5), which was kinda pricey for the size of the drink. I was pleasantly surprised how well cinnamon and matcha complimented each other! Strong matcha flavor that wasn't too overwhelmingly bitter nor earthy. Very smooth! I would return back to try their other drinks/pastries.

Really more of a 3.5 Picnic is a recently opened coffee shop in silverlake, a very aesthetic one at that. It's also a bit tiny and parking isn't easy in this area. I happened to be in the area for a beauty appointment and it was walking distance, so thought why not? It's next to Anonymous-ism. The menu has a variety of coffee and matcha drinks. I opted for an iced vanilla matcha. It was okay and maybe that was my fault - I really couldn't taste the vanilla and the matcha was kind of powdery tasting to my tastebuds. Staff did work diligently and there was two people working when I stopped by. Based on the other reviews, people seem to enjoy the coffee drinks more and maybe that's what I should have gotten instead. They also set up some chairs outside to make up for the lack of sitting space outside. Otherwise, I recommend stopping by and giving this new business a try. They also had a transparent speaker set up (I have one too) and I have to give them props for good taste in audio.

Great cream top matcha latte! Ordered the Vienna matcha latte with almond milk unsweetened since the cream top is sweetened with simple syrup. After mixing, it was the perfect level of sweetness! They use ceremonial grade matcha and the latte was balanced (good ratio of both milk and matcha). Super cute interior and was very convenient since there's a parking lot right next door in front of Mixt. Service was fast and I would definitely come back!

Picnic is a great community spot. I'll forever be searching for a strawberry matcha latte like the one I had here: it was creamy, beautifully fruity with a smooth matcha flavor. They also have a humble (but mighty) pastry case that you don't want to skip.

Absolutely love this spot! I came in yesterday to grab a beverage with a former co-worker and he suggested I get one of the specialty drinks called Vienna. I opted for the matcha version of the drink and boy was I blown away at the presentation, flavor, and simplicity of the drink. Service was quick as there was no line on Thursday at 11am and there were only 3 people behind the bar. There was enough seating to fit at most, 8-10 people comfortably despite the entire shop being just about a hole in the wall. But back to the flavors at hand. The cold, rich sea foam on top had the perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness and to me had a hint of yuzu. It paired perfectly with the ceremonial grade matcha that they provide for all of their matcha drinks. Knowing they use some finer ingredients makes it worth the 7+bucks spent on the drink. Next time I come I'm ordering an even bigger size or perhaps trying one of their other specialty drinks. My co worker had the yuzu tonic and he liked the refreshing spritz as it came with a nice dried red orange slice for presentation along with adding to the flavor. Please open another closer to the valley! Love this place already.

Lovely new coffee shop that just opened in Silverlake! They have the cutest interior and ambience, and they serve up great drinks as well. Ordered a strawberry matcha, and it was well-balanced, not too sweet with a strong matcha flavor. Great place to chill and enjoy some tasty drinks.

One of the best matcha lattes I've had. I would make the drive here just for a matcha latte! I also got a regular iced latte, and it was not for me (I like the flavor of dark roast beans, and this was definitely on the lighter side). The customer service was very good, and the space is so funky and cool! Has an early 2000's vibe. Felt like I was in a cool person's living room! Would recommend! Get the matcha latte!! Overall - I'm super glad I decided to stop by today for my morning coffee. This newly opened cafe in Silverlake is perfect for a quick pick me up or catching up with a friend (not good for large groups). Highly recommend the espresso vienna latte. They also had a fun assortment of pastries in their case to purchase. Espresso Vienna Latte (5/5) - so so creamy and delicious! oh my god. the cream top was fluffy, rich, and had the perfect balance of sweetness with a hint of sea salt. this was probably one of the best cream tops i've ever had and i don't even really even go for cream top drinks. the espresso was also not bitter or acidic at all and perfectly complemented the drink. Ambiance (3/5) - Picnic's storefront isn't huge, but the decor is immaculate and aesthetic. It feels super cozy, as if stepping into someone's living room turned coffee shop. Loved the fun pops of color throughout the store. Amenities (3/5) - I'm not sure I saw a restroom for customers. Even though they do offer free wifi, I don't think I would come back to study or get work done. Definitely think this is more of a grab and go spot or catch up with friends irl place. Customer Service (4/5) - Even with the morning rush, the two workers were very efficient and welcoming to customers. So major kudos just for that alone. I did wait a little longer than expected for my drink though, as two customers after me in line were served before I was. Not a big deal though...patience is a virtue i'm told :)

Amazing matcha. I get the matcha Vienna and it's the best matcha drink I've ever had. The staff is super nice. I would definitely go back again. The only thing is the seating is kinda uncomfortable and it's small inside.

A great new neighborhood spot with solid drinks! I tried the strawberry matcha and espresso Vienna. The beans have a nice acidic kick, if that's your thing. The cream on the Vienna is rich and sweet, perfectly balancing out the espresso or matcha. They use ceremonial-grade matcha from Japan (yes!), which has a fantastic nutty, savory flavor. The pastries are apparently from a bakery in Long Beach, delivered fresh every morning--I'm looking forward to trying one soon. I also love the attention to detail; the furniture is cool and aesthetic--maybe not the most comfortable, but fun and unique! Excited to support this place.

Shout out to the brunette cashier lady and tall barista man working morning of 12/3. They gave excellent service and were kind and welcoming to my dog and I. I unfortunately didn't get their names. They were professional and friendly. They didn't have splenda which I prefer in my lattes, but the barista helpfully recommended honey instead. It was delicious after all. This is a small coffee shop, with limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. I got an oat milk latte. The espresso was very tasty, a pleasing aftertaste too. The Space has a modern hipster decor and furnishing style. Great location on the Sunset strip. They also serve some pastries. I got the cinnamon donut which was delicious. I'll be back!

Another great coffee shop has opened in Silver Lake! The interior has a retro and cute vibe. I ordered the Vienna Matcha and Shkerato, and they were both delicious.! the cream and matcha had a perfect balance and the shakerato paired really good with the orange aroma and espresso. the staff was also very friendly and I would highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone.!

I enjoyed an excellent latté (mine was a decaf oat) with a generous slice of banana bread (GF). Counter staff were quite pleasant. Unfortunately, the "larger" tables were both occupied by laptop enthusiasts so we settled for the tiny trays. Cool decor.

Amazing new coffee shop! I went with my group of friends on opening day, and everything was great! I had the strawberry matcha and they had coffee, and we only have good things to say. The vibes are immaculate, pastries were good complement to our drinks, and the prices were competitive! Service was awesome; everyone was so nice and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

This is a newly opened place. There's plenty of parking since you can park right next to the building. Their specialty seems to be the matcha latte, but I had a Vienna espresso, and it was really good. The chocolate donut wasn't too sweet, which I liked.

The shakerato was bold and rich with a strong espresso flavor, yet pleasantly smooth with fruity undertones that left a nice, uplifting aftertaste. The interior was also very hip, matching the café's name 'Picnic'--it felt like a little getaway spot. Loved the whole vibe!

Wow absolutely love this new spot! I'm always looking for places that have actually good matcha lattes and this did not disappoint. The owners and workers here are SO sweet I was stuck in traffic on the way here and was arriving a bit after closing time but they still made sure to have my order ready to go. 10/10 experience would definitely come back!

Had walked by this spot a couple times since they opened and decided to stop in this morning. I had the picnic spiced matcha and it was excellent! Paired it with a pistachio matcha croissant which was also good. Will definitely come back to try some of their other drinks and pastries!

The hottest coffee spot in Silver Lake right now! The signature drinks, Vienna and Shakerato, are both amazing and super refreshing. The interior is modern, with stylish decor that makes it the perfect spot to chill. Plus, parking is a breeze with a lot right next to the shop, which is rare in Silver Lake. You know, parking is usually a pain in this neighborhood.

Ordered two signature drinks (Vienna Matcha on the left & Shakerato on the right) from this place, and I love the taste of both. The Vienna Matcha, in particular, is my favorite, and you should definitely try it when you stop by.

Happened upon this place (on my way to another coffee shop lol), decided to stop in. Menu had some interesting drinks- I got some sort of seasonal matcha. Cute place! It's a modern looking shop and it's not very big, wondering how it'll be when more people discover it. But the employees were nice and the drink was just right :)

First time coming and the service was fast and friendly. I got an iced vienna latte and it tasted really good! I would say this coffee shop is better if you're on a walk or if you are hanging out in the area, but not the best place to do work in. Parking is street parking only. Would come back again!
