So, surprisingly, a soft launch 50% off food offer drew me into their new offspring from the original restaurant in Fitrovia.
First impressions were good, great front of house and smiling, efficient waiters. The decor was subtle and relaxed, and on trend in a nordic/modern french fashion.
Being a greedy value for money guy, I didn't hesitate to go for the 6 course menu - lunch hour be damned..
What followed, from the bread and incredibly creamy butter, to the chocolate and salt caramel mousse was pretty much faultless... the bavette beef and bone marrow crumble the stand out of the show.
Altogether, not quite wow enough to make it a 'special destination', but for elegant, punchy and inventive food at a fair price (which would have been circa £50 a head, without booze), then consider it a great 'neighbourhood / shopping trip / theatre go-to'.
