We actually like the pizza here (reason why it's a 2 star review instead of one), so I'm bummed our 2nd experience wasn't good.
We came in at 4, as we'd forgotten they didn't open until 4:30 on Friday. The owner(?) was initially friendly, and invited us to wait in the back where the kids would have room to play. They had a few planters with flowers out back, but not much else to hold the kids attention. The girls picked a few flowers while our son looked for lizards. At about the 4:30 mark, owner came out and walked past us, no acknowledgment. On his way back in, he said something along the lines of, "Can you guys not let your kids pick the flowers?" I replied, "Oh sure, sorry about that," to which he just shook his head.
No "Thank you guys so much for waiting, we're ready to take your order" or anything resembling kindness. Sorry dude, my daughters are 3 and 5, and there's nothing for them to do out back. It's fine to ask us to keep them from picking flowers, but why drop the friendliness you had when we came? And why not acknowledge that we just waited a half hour to give you business?
There are plenty of great wood fire pizza places around here, like Moon River, where the customer service is always fantastic (and consequently where we ended up going instead of staying at Pie95). Kindness and courtesy go a long way.. unfortunately, we probably won't be coming back to Pie95.
