A great neighborhood diner. Pier offers reliable diner food, great waffles, good burgers and it a good coffee shop where to meet friends and catch up. Very old school but perfect in that genre. I've always enjoyed going there and the people that run it seem very friendly. Good service and good food. A nice place in the uws.

This is 100% my favorite diner. I come here every weekend on Sunday and get waffles. It is delicious. One time they even made me pancakes shaped as a heart. The service is quick and the staff are very kind.

Not that I want to out my local neighborhood diner and make it even more difficult to get a seat here on a weekend for brunch - I do have to say I adore coming here. It has a family-run feel and you're always greeted with a friendly smile. The menu is standard diner fare - which is what you would want at a diner! I personally love their buckwheat pancakes, which are far moister that other diners. Try it with the yogurt and fresh fruit. :)

One of my favorite spots for a lazy breakfast. It's always busy but never a queue outside. The buzz is so 70s with a classical music playlist in the background. The food is like any other diner. I love how my omelette order always comes with a perfect amount of coffee and fresh squeezed OZ - not too much, not too little. The staff is so warm and friendly. On my cheat days I come here for a Belgium style waffle with bananas and walnuts and never leave with guilt. The portion size is pretty balanced and I never have to waste much.

This diner doesn't look much of anything from the outside. They have a very minimum amount of signage on the outside. and if you didn't know it was a restaurant, you might not realize what they are until you walk in. Inside is not too big, they have a big counter at the entrance, with baked goods on and around the counter. We were greeted with a smile and were told to take a seat at one of their open table. Most of the customers were elderly people, local, which I always take it as good, reasonably priced food. The most interesting feature of this place was the ceiling. They had this deep blue round ceiling structure with small flags from all over the world. I don't know where the idea of this design came from, but making it very international feel to it, even though their menu is not that international. We got Belgian waffle with banana and walnuts, and French toast with bacon. They were ok, nothing special. The server was attentive and nice, so that part was a plus. It is always good to find a good diner, and even though this place did not become our favorite list. But it was still a good, comforting food and service. Read my full review of this restaurant and food on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

This is a wonderful Café! I went there a couple times for breakfast with friends and parents and every time we were there he service was really nice and friendly. It also looks beautiful from the outside as well as from the inside due to many flowers and the furniture. I really recommend any kind of the delicious pancakes they offer!

Nice busy old dinner with friendly staff. Shrimp salad sandwich was good until I remove the bread from the sandwich and a big black thick curling hair was right on the middle of my salad. 😱😵They did changed it but I had lost my appetite wondering if the hair was not from the top. No more visits for me.

Hubby and I have taken to this sweet gem for Sunday brunch bcoz the service and food are very good, and overall feels like you are visiting your friends‘ place—staff is very friendly. Not an upscale scene so not for a first date, but I enjoyed lunch today with a friend/client. Good for relaxing. Bon appetit!
