Why you should go out to eat alone - Vox

"On a recent solo research trip to San Francisco, I picked at random a seafood restaurant humming with activity, and took the last seat at the bar. The meal that followed — an octopus dish, and a strange little wine the bartender recommended — was transcendent, something to be savored." - Alissa Wilkinson

The Best Restaurants for Dungeness Crab in San Francisco and the Bay Area - Eater SF

"At the waterfront seafood restaurant, you can order a half Dungeness crab steamed, chilled, or roasted with garlic; crab cocktail; crab cakes; crab Louie; or even get clam chowder in a sourdough bowl, and top it off with extra crab." - Becky Duffett, Eater Staff

Easy to get a reservation, we got sat at the windows looking towards the golden gate bridge at sunset and it was spectacular. We started with the crab cakes, and they had great flavor with a nice texture profile. My wife got the steak & shrimp and chow mein, she said it was the best surf and turf fusion she's ever had. I got the shellfish platter and it did not disappoint, everything was cooked exactly as it should be. No complaints besides it was a little noisy.

Google
Bottom line is the food is mediocre. The views are amazing since it’s waterfront. One of the worst Caesar salads I’ve had in a while. The clam chowder was mid. The fish and chips were the only thing we enjoyed. Skip it and try another restaurant on the pier.

Google
Pier Market is in a great location on Pier 39. I was excited to make this our “Big” dinner during our San Francisco trip given all the great reviews. I got the Cioppino which I thought missed the mark. The tomato based broth was flavorful, but the dish was over proportioned with pasta, instead of having a well balance of seafood like fish, mussels, clams, shrimp, and crab. There was barely any crab! My friend got the grilled chicken breast with rice and vegetables. He said it was “okay.” The bread and butter they bring out to the table was probably the highlight of the night. The service also left a lot to be desired. Our server seemed too busy to engage with us at all, or even offer house recommendations like you would expect at an establishment of this caliber and price point. She also never smiled. If you are looking for good seafood in San Francisco, skip this place. This is basically a tourist forfeiture and there are much better places in the bay area.

Google
Unfortunately, Pier Market Seafood Restaurant did not live up to the hype or the glowing reviews we had seen beforehand. After waiting for few minutes for a table, our group of four tried their “best dish,” the clam chowder — and we were all underwhelmed. The flavor was mediocre at best. To make things worse, the sourdough bread was stale and hard, and wasn’t even warmed. It felt like no care was taken in the quality. We ordered Clam Chowder, and we ended up getting a CELERY Chowder soup. The overall atmosphere and calamari were just okay — nothing memorable or inviting enough to make us want to return. As for the pricing: while the service was decent, we were surprised to see an expected gratuity of 18–22% plus an additional 5% employee fee. That felt excessive, especially given the underwhelming food experience. Disappointing visit overall. This place may work for some travelers, but we left feeling let down and overcharged.

Google
Food is really good. Great service. Clam chowder lives up to the hype for sure. Over all highly recommend.

Google
Excellent seafood platter and I personally loved the battered cid and breaded shrimp. My husband enjoyed it too plus the fried calamari. Lovely service, thank you Camille!! A must try friends!!

Google
The food, vibes & atmosphere here was all amazing. This was my mom's first time in SF and she had the best time here. I recommend getting the clam chowder bowl separately and ordering the sourdough garlic bread separately because when the sourdough gets soggy, it will be pretty chewy and hard to eat. I got their half dozen oyster and it was so good! It was super fresh. I also got their fish & chips which was really amazing! Our server William was the best and I am sure you'll have a great time here too. Give this place a try when you're in the area!

Google
This restaurant hit the spot after our long day. All of my dishes were cooked to perfection. I tried the pomegranate margarita and it didn't disappoint. The customer service was good and the manager took good care of my friend for her bday with a nice surprise. We didn't have reservations but our party of 5 were quickly seated with a nice view of the pier. I definitely recommend the chowder, salmon, and the fries.

Yelp
The place was nice. We got there right at opening so we got a great window seat. Best clam chowder in sourdough bread bowl Salmon burger was good. Enjoyed. The drinks were perfect

Yelp
This location is in the heart of Pier39. Since I was only a party of 1, they sat me next to this large party which is no big deal expect, I sat there for awhile before the waiter even noticed me. I got the cup of clam chowder off the reviews from reading on here and it was really good!! Full of clams and loved that it was filled w/potatoes. I have to say it was 1 of my favorite clam chowders! Reading the reviews, I though rolls were included w/your meal but I believe that's old news now. I decided on the full dungeness crab with garlic butter. I was also expecting the presentation to include the shell but that's fine. I was also expecting the crab to have been cooked in the garlic butter verses it just being on the side. However, it was really good. You can't go wrong w/crab in my opinion. ;) I also subbed out the sides for a salad which I appreciated. However, the lettuce was a little wilty. Must not turn over a lot of lettuce. Everything was great! SYOY!

Yelp
This is one of the restaurants along the Pier 39 walking strip. Food (4/5) - pretty decent menu with lots of selection of seafood and related theme appetizers, mains, starters, etc. - Clam Chowder Sour Dough Bread Bowl - it was pretty good - liked the chowder - had some good thickness and light peppery flavour. Bowl was not bad... not quite as good as buying from the bakeries but worked well with the chowder. - Popcorn Scallops - it was just average tbh... jalapeno aioli breading was not bad but scallops were on the small side and average texture. Service (4/5) - greeted and seated fairly quickly and waitress was friendly and fairly attentive. Atmosphere (3.5/5) - like the front patio options along with the indoor table setting. Pretty basic tables and set up. They should try to get rid of the seagulls that are hanging around for scraps and will swoop in quickly if you are not looking. Overall (4/5) - not a bad place for a bite when walking around the tourist area.

Yelp
First time visiting Pier Market! Our usual spot is Fog Harbor Fish House, but we decided to give Pier Market a try since their menu looked similar--if not better. We ordered the seafood platter, mixed grill, and a bowl of clam chowder. Every dish was perfectly balanced in flavor, served hot and fresh right out of the kitchen. The complimentary bread was absolutely delicious as well. This place has definitely earned a spot in our top 5 go-to restaurants whenever we're in the Bay. And after trying clam chowder at multiple places, I can honestly say this was the best I've ever had. Things to consider why you should visit this place * Prices are reasonable. *The staff is so welcoming...ps we love our bartender she was fun and funny. * The ambiance is well balanced not too loud * They have an outdoor and indoor sitting area and as well a small bar area .

Yelp
The food and view was great! This is the second time I've been here and it did not disappoint. I remembered how great this place was when I went there the first time 8+ years ago. This is the best food on the pier and the service was great. It was easy to get a reservation and the servers were attentive.

Yelp
Reserved a table on Saturday night on yelp, got outdoor seating which was nice. Service was super quick and friendly. I got the fish and chips, first time trying fish, and my friend got the sword fish. Normal pricing for this area. Food came out so quick I didn't even think it was ours, came out in 8 minutes after we ordered. The fish was very tasty and had a nice crunch with the breading. The swordfish was also good, tasted almost like pork not even fish which was surprising. Great seafood restaurant to come to on pier 39, super quick service

Yelp
When we visit pier 39, we always end up eating here. The food is always a hit. Love the seafood. The fish is not overcook and the side vegetables is nice and tender. Love the clam chowder, I wish we got the bread bowl with it though. The breading on the Calamari is just right. The aoli is delish. Crab cake is delicious. The only reason I did not give a five star is because 2 of our kids burger did not arrived wayy later than the rest of the food and kids was getting grumpy. Otherwise, food was great and will come back again. Next time, hopefully we will be seated with the view, but I understand they are quite busy.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Service was fast for a busy day. Workers was moving to keep the people fed. The place was busy and popping. Location is Prime it was in the middle of Pier 39.

Yelp
Would recommend joining the waitlist thru Google or Yelp. This restaurant can vary on wait time and is in a tourist location. There is indoor and outdoor seating as well as seating next to the bay. FYI: Dining outside can get very cold and there are no heaters when dining outside next to the bay. Both clam chowder sourdough bowl and blackened cod were satisfying and filling. The cod had a great spicy kick to it - highly recommend! If you're sensitive to spices or too spicy, I wouldn't recommend or maybe ask for less spice. The portions were generous and affordable. Veronika was our server and she was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Pier Market Seafood Restaurant.

Yelp
We walked in to the restaurant and greeted happily by Marycris, she asked us if we prefer to be seated inside or outside. She is really awesome, she also asked us if it was our first time in the restaurant. We enjoyed the food that we ordered but most of all the service that the crews specially Marycris provided. We'll definitely comeback and bring family and friends.

Yelp
Must go here! Incredible food, drinks, and atmosphere. Sit at the bar and see Rossie! She makes the best drinks and makes your time worth while. The Bloody Mary's were on point l, along with the clam chowder on sourdough. Also, order the Cioppino pasta, it's packed with so much seafood. For how much you get in, the prices are great!

Yelp
There are many places to eat on the pier, but I don't know if there's a place better than Pier Market. They have a takeout window on the pier so I got a bowl of chowder to walk with. Delicious. Then we came back a day later and sat inside for the full experience. The view of the docks was amazing and there were sea lions out.

Yelp
We have been coming to Pier Market since 2002, and it breaks my heart to say the quality has really gone downhill since the pandemic. The food doesn't taste the same, portions are noticeably smaller, and the service feels rushed and cold. The staff seemed visibly unhappy to be there, which made the whole experience feel off. One major red flag: I saw a woman (in all black, gloves and a mask) walk out of the restroom without washing her hands. I'm not sure if she works in the kitchen, but it left me concerned. On a positive note, the view is still one of the best at Pier 39, and the bathroom I used was clean--which I appreciated. But sadly, unless things improve, I won't be coming back.

Yelp
Tourist-focused restaurant in a super touristy location. Kitchen is fast enough, deep fried items are tasty enough, nice of them to do a ceviche and a poke for those who didn't want deep fried or a burger. Service, as busy as they are, is actually pretty good. Wouldn't come here otherwise, but if you're already at Pier 39 it's a valid stop.

Yelp
Food: One of the best clam chowders in SF; popcorn scallops with their roasted jalapeño aioli were delectable; grilled salmon cooked expertly; grilled lobster tails were exceptional; garlic breads are a must Service: decent Ambiance: nice view of the pier and sea lions if lucky
google avatar

Yelp
I mean...it's decent. All of Pier 39 is a tourist trap so be prepared for inflated prices. Overall food was good, I'd stay away from the alcoholic drinks, very basic, very little alcohol, too pricey. Servers seemed to be overloaded although there were a fair amount of them standing around and chatting. It's one of the nicer restaurants on the pier if you prefer a sit down experience. The bathrooms are clean and nice. The hostess was friendly and luckily able to seat us right away. This place can get crowded so don't be surprised. Just go next door and grab a bread bowl. THE FOOD Seafood Pasta: not bad, but needed some added flavor to the sauce. Fried Bay Scallops: good. Batter was basic. Garlic Bread: tasty. Seasoned to perfection. The bread was a bit stale which was disappointing. Cesar Salad w/ crabmeat: very good Fisherman's Platter: can't go wrong with a bunch of friend seafood. Very basic so be ready to dip in all the sauces. Filet Sole in Butter and Caper Sauce: definitely the best thing we had at the table. Cooked to perfection Steamed Clams: just meh. The sauce had a bitter taste to it. I thought the clams were too tough, but apparently they're supposed to be.

Yelp
Short wait for a beautiful waterside window seat just before the sunset at Pier 39. Service here is great. Friendly, quick. I ordered a hard lemonade and loved it. My companions ordered a beer, a SF Bay Breeze, and the Alcatraz Slammer. My daughter had the pan fried sole, and it was delicious, very flavorful! Her companion had the market fish dish, and the other two of us had clam chowder in sourdough bowls. This is a timeless favorite that we'll come back to again and again.

Yelp
An affordable & elegant option for seafood at the wharf! My family and I have tried a couple of the restaurants around like Fog Harbor, but we like going back to this place each time when we're in the area because of the prices and menu options. Don't be afraid to sit outside because they have heaters. The staff are always super welcoming and we had the pleasure to be served by Arlene! We felt really cared for the whole time we were dining in and were even offered sourdough bread on the house. Seeing that we were a large group, she gave us options that were both pleasing to the eye and wallet. We ordered Garlic Fries as an appetizer, which was both crispy and soft. Lots of flavor going on here and didn't even need ketchup to dip to be honest. The clam chowder was delicious and had more of a creamy texture. You can add $6 extra if you want to add crab! The Fishermen's Platter is always a fav of ours, which came with a little bit everything. We love a good fried cod with a crunchy exterior. Calamari was givinggggg. Honestly, they nail their crispy and crunchy game here when it comes to their seafood! #theydontplay Great service, food, and ambiance. You can't beat their prices and hospitality here compared to the other fancy restaurants!

Yelp
Literally the best clam chowder I've ever had and I don't even like clam chowder like that LOL we got shrimp fest and calamari as well! Arlene was our server and she is great!! Very attentive and nice, suggested good food and caring as well! I would definitely come back
google avatar

Yelp
We were seated right on the pier overlooking the boats: It was nice and peaceful compared to the rest of the pier. Service was great and we started with the mussels which were very yummy. I ordered the linguini clams which was delightful! My parents ordered the trout and swordfish which were both solid as well. My one note is that the service felt a bit rushed, but I'm not surprised since we were in such a busy and tourist packed area
google avatar

Nichole E.

Yelp
What a fun resturant right in the heart of the pier! Spend the money and enjoy some delicious food. I recommend sitting outside to enjoy the full experience. Service was fast and attentive! Food was excellent, my appologies for not getting pictures before we devoured them! Enjoy some SF Pier History at this restaurant!

Yelp
Its been sometime since I had visited the bat and by some time I mean over a decade. But, with some free time, I decided to visit Fisherman's Warf and make a reservation at Pier Market Seafood way in advance. Located right on Pier 39, the ambiance was like a good old fashioned seafood tavern. Light atmosphere where people sit to have a beer with friends with some fresh food. I have been craving clam chowder for some time and I actually waited till this trip to really embrace that craving and I am so glad I did. The chowder was perfectly creamy and paired with my sourdough biscuit, man what a combo! I then ordered the Fisherman's combo which included Fried Calamari, Fried Shrimp, and Fish & Chips. Which, let's face it, knocked all the normal items you want to order from a place at Fisherman's Warf all at once! All my seafood was fresh and seasoned well and top it off with a glass of red wine and it was magnificent. The staff were great at making feel at home considering I was a solo diner and regularly checked in on my meal. If it wasn't for the slightly rainy weather, it would have been a perfect visit!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food! So fresh and beautiful view! I recommend a seat by the window. Must try the fresh clam chowder.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place to go for seafood dishes on Pier 39. You can sit by the windows and get a lovely view of the water and sea lions. We ordered the cioppino which had generous portions as well as the clam chowder in a bread bowl and the fisherman's platter. The clam chowder was the most popular choice but it did not stand out as much to us as the cioppino did. The ciopinno was very aesthetic and very flavorful. Service was very friendly and attentive too. If I'm ever at Pier 39 again, I'd love to return.
google avatar

Yelp
We were exploring SF and had a craving for fish and chips so we decided to try out this place. We came on a weekday during lunch so it wasn't busy. We also had a big group but we were able to get seated within 5 minutes. Our server Arlene was amazing! She checked in with us multiple times. She also gave us great recommendations. I loved the view of this restaurant. We were able to see the boats and some of the seals. This place is located in Pier 39 so there is limited street parking and a parking garage. This restaurant gives parking validations if you parked in the garage.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
Pier Market Seafood has a lot going for it - premier location, a view of the bay (sea lions et al), and a spacious footprint in a highly trafficked area. While the bones are good, the experience was middling. The service felt rushed along, which as a visitor from a land-locked state took away from my ability to savor the rarity of an oceanside seafood lunch. The food was perfectly fine, but it won't live on in my memory. Each member of my three-person party was served several minutes apart, which is another knock on the pace of dining and borderline disinterest of our server. I don't want to drag the place, I think they're laden with potential, I'd just encourage them to live into it.

Yelp
First time at this place . Went there back in May. The food was amazing, the ambiance is good but a bit too crowded. We were there for dinner but the food was amazing. We had mostly seafood and that was finger licking . A must try. The mussels were the best!

Yelp
Great restaurant with amazing view of golden gate. We had fisherman's plater, Cajun cod, crab cake and the famous clam chowder. The espresso martini was awesome. Heads up this restaurant is always pack and full specially in the weekend. Staff were incredible and attentive. I will come back again.

Yelp
Let's just dive right into this, shall we? Located in the heart of touristy Pier 39 directly overlooking the water, we were drawn to this spot because of its nautical theme & seafood-heavy menu. Sadly there was literally nothing great about dining here. Not the staff, not the price, and definitely not the food. Although I shouldn't say "nothing" great... our table did have a great view of the harbour where the sea lions congregate to sunbathe and people congregate to watch them. Also we got lucky and were seated fairly quickly even though it was very busy. As far as service goes, our server seemed detached and lacklustre, and struggled to properly take the order for a mere 3 items. The food took a while to come out, and when it did it was all quite bland and had a very slight "storage" or "cupboard" type of taste to it, very bizarre. Disappointingly, everything served to us was underseasoned and the portions of the dishes, although one could still call them normal-sized, were slightly more on the smaller side. We shared the Mussels as a starter (underwhelming) and both agreed that the flavour of the sauce didn't really complement the taste of the mussels. For our mains, Hubby described his Salmon Burger as "not good", while I would call my Swordfish dinner "okay". In my opinion, for a spot with such a great location and so much foot traffic this restaurant experience was a real disappointment. I'm hoping there's a major overhaul coming in the near future where staff & food prep are concerned, because those are definitely needed. I'm fairly confident that until such a time I won't dine there again, and will instead choose another one of the many dining spots on that busy strip. Pros: - location (lovely harbour views from the window side tables) - decor Cons: - staff (not very friendly or professional) - meals were not tasty at all - not much value for items (not worth it)

Yelp
I really did enjoy this restaurant. It has great food and is a pretty good option for dinner especially considering the other options that are available on pier 39. They do a great job about being fast with service as they try to get people in and out pretty fast. Make sure you come with a reservation or that you are prepared to wait to be seated as it was very popular around dinner time. Now the reason I can't give it a 5 star is that for its price I don't think the food is incredible. It is a bit spendy and there are plenty of seafood restaurants in the Bay Area with similar prices and higher quality food. I love the diversity of the menu and I also tried the Cioppino which I had never had before and I loved it (forgot to get a picture lol)! Overall if you want a typical pier 39 sit down seafood dinner I would say this is a great option, with the bay right outside the window you have a great view while you eat as well!
google avatar

Kenneth L.

Yelp
Some people might consider pier restaurants to be a bit of a tourist trap, but hey, as a former local, I still like the food here! Definitely good after a day of walking around the pier and you're wanting to sit down for a scenic meal. Clam chowder was the highlight, of course. Love the sourdough bread bowl: Whether it's just freshly made here or some other trick, the bread is really, really soft. Sometimes I can't finish all the bread because parts of it are too hard, but the bread bowl here was perfect. Cake was not great, unfortunately. Really dense, really heavy, and way too sweet. It tasted like a mouthful of pure sugar!
google avatar

Joanna C.

Yelp
First time having Clam chowder and uhmmm it was so delicious!! It was exactly what I needed for a chilly day. The Drinks and Salad were also delicious. Going to add this to my go to when visiting.

Yelp
When my phone was slowly dying and I realized I had forgotten my charger at home, I didn't expect the staff at Pier Market to be the ones who came to my rescue. The atmosphere is exceptionally welcoming, with a nice view of the sea lions near the windows, and one of the hosts went out of his way to find me a charger that I could use for my phone. I had decided to order Clam Chowder in a sourdough bowl alongside raspberry tea, which tasted exceptional. I suppose the gratitude may have allowed it to taste better, but there was something soothing about warm, savory soup in a bread bowl while dealing with the cold ocean breeze (maybe it's the feeling of home). The raspberry tea was also refreshing, and brought a great amount of comfort for an otherwise distressing situation. Is this a tourist trap? Who knows! But if I ever end up in Pier 39 again, I would be more than happy to return.
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
As far as restaurants located in the middle of a gigantic tourist trap go, this is pretty good. The mixed seafood grill is well executed, with grilled salmon and cod and prawns, served with grilled vegetables and potatoes. The pan fried sole served in a caper sauce was amazing, although I didn't love the mediocre quality of the medium-grain rice that was served alongside. The clam chowder served inside a sourdough was the main disappointment: it was rather inadequately seasoned.
google avatar

Kendra K.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I aren't huge seafood people, but we decided to stop in for the views and the cute location. We shared the garlic sourdough bread to start, then I had the steak while he tried the salmon burger. Everything was good overall--solid food and nice atmosphere--but nothing that really stood out as exceptional.

Yelp
Takeaway Review for the Bread Bowl Clam Chowder** Their location is nice towards the middle/end of the pier and it is convenient that they have a stand to order from. We ordered the clam chowder bread bowl and it came out quick and hot. The clam chowder was good, but a little peppery and not as thick as I expecting. The bread was soft and ordering was quick on a Friday afternoon/evening. They do default a tip, so be mindful of this if you want to take it off before paying. There are benches right outside the restaurant, so you might be able to grab a seat there. I was disappointed that they serve it with the top of the bread cut flat and they don't give you the bread they pull out from the middle. For clam chowder bread bowls, I usually like to dip the bread from the lid of the bowl and scrape the sides to eat with the soup. But, there was not much from the top or the inner sides of the bowl. I usually, don't eat the bowl, but there wasn't much bread on the inside and top so we did eat it as well. On the plus side, the bread was soft so it was easy to eat. Overall, we had high hopes for this place based on reviews. But, we may look for a different to chowder place to try.

Yelp
Decent pricing for touristy area Pretty fresh food Both outdoor & indoor options available

Yelp
Been craving for oysters and clam chowder so decided to try someplace new since I've always heard great things about this place. The oysters were good and fresh but it wasn't jaw dropping. Clam chowder was a little underwhelming. Yes it was good, but it wasn't as good as I expected. There was barely any filling to that chowder, no clams no potatoes, barely anything. It was mainly just 'soup'. The menu said you can get it in a sourdough bread bowl but the bread was not even sourdough or at least it didn't even taste like it. It seemed as if it was just regular bread that they reheated in the microwave because it was so chewy and the crust was soft. Was pretty disappointed. Boudin clam chowder in their sourdough bread bowl is actually better than this. Servers and service were quick and super nice! Our table wasn't demanding so we were in and out. We went in a Friday so it was busy but it was relaxing and vibes were great! Just wished the food was a little better

Sneha S.

Yelp
Food was very flavorful and they were very accommodating with dietary restrictions (taking out pork from the pasta) Chocolate cake was comforting and perfectly heated up. The star of the day though was the sourdough garlic bread!

Yelp
Pier Market Seafood Restaurant is a solid place. Both outdoor and indoor seating is available. I recommend making a reservation and requesting a table with a view of the pier. Service was polite and sufficient. My wife and I started off with garlic fries and fried calamari. Both appetizers were tasty. After that, we ordered a caesar salad with chicken and the clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. The caesar salad was decent at best, but would've actually been better without the chicken. The clam chowder was good, but it was the bread bowl that took it to the next level. I regret not getting an actual entree, but regardless, our experience was enjoyable. FYI: I didn't realize until after that there's a sweet and sour calamari on the menu. Had I known, I would've gotten that instead of the regular calamari.

Yelp
In the city and decided to walk down the pier. We decided to book reservation in advance so we don't have to wait that long. Bring a jakcet if you're going at night. It gets chilly. Their outside seating is perfect, they have heater. It gets warm, it's perfect. Clam chowder is perfect for sharing, it's heavy and delicious. Bowl or in bread. Doesn't matter, its delicious. Food itself is great. Great serving size. Will come back again if in the area. Not sure where to park here, we took an uber instead to prevent breakins and parking fee.

Yelp
Ngl, I am not a fan of eating at restaurants at the pier because most of the time we are paying for the view but the food is mediocre. However, Pier Market Seafood Restaurant is an exception, the food was delicious. Plus, after seeing my friend's positive reviews on Yelp, I knew I wanted to check this place out. It was a beautiful day in SF this past weekend and we got lucky and snagged a seat by the window, Now onto the food: 1/2 DOZEN RAW OYSTERS: 5/5 I wish I knew the name of the oysters because these were fresh, briney and sweet. CLAM CHOWDER BREAD BOWL + CESAR SALAD: 4/5: The chowder had nice pieces of clams and we really enjoyed the cesar salad. FRIED CALAMARI WITH FRIES: 5/5 These are the best calamari rings I had in a very long time. The batter was crispy and not oily. The fries that were accompanied by this dish were also tasty. I highly recommend this dish. CIOPPINO: 4/5 I appreciate that this dish was served with pasta because it soaked up the delicate tomato-y broth. There were nice chunks of seafood. The portions were generous so we ended up packing more than half of the cioppino and calamari home. I wished I remembered our server's name because she was very attentive and friendly. Overall, I would come back here to try out the other dishes!

Yelp
Love coming here! We had Stefan G as our waiter and he was delightful to work with. Everything we asked for came the way we asked for them to be. We are always customizing my two young boys' dishes because they refuse to eat vegetables and other items. Stefan had no trouble getting all the custom requests fulfilled. Food was delish and we will continue to come back.

Yelp
Food was very good! Had the clam chowder bowl with crab added and the crab was such a nice touch! I also had the Jambalaya and it was also really delicious and pretty big. It was enough to feed me for two meals. The service was good and waiter was attentive. Ambience was also great because we got a reservation and were seated in a quieter area.

Yelp
ROSSIE!!! the best bartender ever. She started us off with bloodymarys (double), they were delicioussss. And then suggested the clam chowder in sourdough bowl, crab cake appetizer and the cioppino seafood pasta. 10/10. The view of the pier from the bar is great as well, will definitely be coming back!!
