"The nautical theme at the Pier is fitting for a restaurant that is mere footsteps from some of the most exquisite yachts in all of Lake Michigan. Sip a mint julep  while you wait for a table to open up on the deck at this long standing anchor of the Harbor Springs dining scene. Once seated, order the seared scallops with morel risotto, arugula, and Fustini’s olive oil, and watch the world (and the Lilly Pulitzer parade) go by." - Stacey Brugeman

"Longtime readers don’t need to be told that Stafford’s Pier is a great waterfront option, but those who have set up camp in Harbor Springs for the weekend should also check out the New York. If “Harbor Springs chic” was a nationally recognized design style, this dining room would define it. Served amidst emerald green walls, Tiffany lamp pendants, and white tablecloths, this is where you go to see and be seen eating that perfectly executed wagyu strip." - Stacey Brugeman

Not worth the visit or the wait. Waited over an hour for a table. We arrived and a very dismissive waiter waited until after we ordered to tell us items were 86ed then brought us unsatisfactory food checking in only as we finished our meals . We were hungry so we ate. Issues, whitefish was overcooked, risotto was overcooked, waiter never brought silverware our runner brought us some. I know they are busy but clearly they can’t handle this level of business.

With attentive service and a stunning view, this restaurant definitely delivers on ambiance. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. However, while the food was enjoyable, it felt a bit pretentious and overpriced. The presentation was beautiful, but the flavors didn’t quite match the premium we paid, and the portion sizes left us wanting a bit more. Overall, it’s worth a visit for the atmosphere, but the food could use a bit more substance to justify the price.

My wife and I have enjoyed eating lunch here on our annual visits to Harbor Springs since 2014. We love the experience of eating on the deck with the beautiful view overlooking the harbor. For this visit, the weather and view were excellent as was the service provided by Keni. Unfortunately, the menu and food quality are not the same. I was looking forward to the excellent seafood chowder they used to serve, but that is now replaced with something they call clam chowder which has the consistency and flavor of milky water. There were some sandy clams sitting at the bottom of the bowl, but that was it. The $36 lobsters roll is a sliced hot dog bun size baguette with 12 small mayo soaked lobster pieces and served with fries. The fries were actually quite good. The fresh fish choices that we remember are sadly missing from the lunch menu. If menu and food quality does not improve, this may the last time we eat here.

My wife and I just had one of the most pleasant dining experiences ever here at the Pier. There was a mixup on an entree order (our fault totally) and when we brought it to our servers (Ivan) attention, he and the management team, Katie and Kyle, could not have been more professional and gracious in addressing the issue. So, hat's off to Ivan, Katie, Kyle for their awesome customer service. We can't wait to return to this wonderful establishment! And if I could give the Pier Restaurant 10 STARS, I certainly would! And just for the record, our food was delectable.

Delicious whitefish and a generous portion! Impeccable service and can't beat the view! New management quickly righted the ship from previous few years. The Pier is back, happy days!

Food was average for the price. The seafood chowder tasted more like potato soup. The steak medalions were very tender but really had no flavor. Great view. I would go back once more and try a few different options.

The food was phenomenal and the outdoor seating was great! My son loved seeing all the boats on the pier.

The food is fantastic. There are very few restaurants in town so the wait can be long and the price is a bit high, but it’s great so I find myself there once a week when I’m in town. The patio has good views of the lake and I appreciate that it’s still a laid back vibe despite being a higher end food experience.
