"Welcome to Pierre Gagnaire's Italian restaurant, where the great chef proposes his personal and creative take oncucina italiana, beautifully made with rigorously selected produce. The dishes are punctuated with subtle contrasts created, for example, by bitter salad leaves, spices and condiments. You can look forward to a chic and opulent but nonetheless relaxed atmosphere, a warm welcome and expert recommendations on the best Italian wines from the sommelier. Booking strongly advised." - Michelin Inspector

The 15 Hottest New Restaurants in Paris

"Chef Pierre Gagnaire’s new Italian trattoria in the tres chic Rue du Bac has become an instant hit with local antique dealers, publishers, and boutique owners, among others. Gagnaire opened his first Italian spot in the ski resort of Courchevel, and then, knowing how mad Parisians are for this cuisine, he decided to open a second address in the capital in the space formerly occupied by his excellent seafood restaurant, Gaya, which has moved to the nearby rue Saint Simon. The menu debuts with classic antipasti like charcuterie and vitello tonnato, and then veers from tradition with dishes like raw cuttlefish with Barolo vinegar and crispy rice, fresh spaghetti with shellfish and truffles, gorgonzola and radicchio risotto, and veal cutlet Milanese with baby artichokes and watercress." - Alexander Lobrano

Google
Delicious Italian meal in Paris. My husband had the Opened Lasagne with veal bolognese and escargots and loved it. I had the risotto with citrus fruit powder and grilled jumbo shrimps, which was amazing. Easily could’ve been eating a meal at a top restaurant in Italy.

Google
A very disappointing culinary experience. And when politely mentioning it to the waiter, complete absence of follow-up. Then, waiting for 15 mn to get the bill. Would not recommend. At all.

I’m perplexed why this restaurant isn’t 5 stars, excellent Italian food with a twist in the heart of Paris. We enjoyed our experience - wines were excellent along and the food was amazing. Catered to gluten free, providing options without needing to ask for them. Superb dining experience along with Michelin level service.

Google
Absolutely a must visit. Amazing dishes I had to order two apps and two meals and yes I finished all of it and the portions aren’t tiny. Stratchiatello app was UNREAL. I will have dreams about the plin plin. Recommend reservations, but we were able to sit right away at the end of the night. Beautiful outdoor table, and when it’s started to sprinkle, even though we had an awning covering us - they insisted we go inside for the rest of our meal. We felt like we were visiting family. Thank you!!! -Two American girls in Paris xo

Google
Amazing and delicious! Leaving an empty plates type if photo (sorry!) as it was too good! The service was AMAZING and the way it should be. Prices higher then usual but totally worth it. Love it! Place to come back for sure! 😘

I really appreciated their kindness when dining alone! Awesome food and staff. The grapefruit dessert- I still think about. Thank you from nyc!

Google
In a word: wow! This was by far the best meal of our trip (and that includes several Michelin 1 star restaurants). I’m sure the menu changes regularly, but of a party of 5, there was not a single entree that I would not recommend. That said, the tuna starter, octopus entree, and citron dessert were the absolute stand outs of the evening. If you’re a foodie, I highly recommend you check this place out.

Yelp
Pierre Gagnaire's take on Italian food. High-end Italien dishes in a trattoria setting. While our appetizers were not mind-blowing, I must say that the mackerel (raw fish) and the pigeon were perfectly executed. We also ordered a bottle of Barbera for around €60, and finished with the baba au rhum and tiramisu - both extremely good. Definitely worth the visit for anyone looking for excellent Italian food !

Yelp
Service distant, and food uninspired. Hard to believe a product of Pierre Gagnaire.
