League City’s Pierogi Queen Will Bring Its Beloved Polish Dumplings to Two Houston Locations - Eater Houston

"Popular League City Polish restaurant Pierogi Queen will bring its pan-fried pierogis stuffed with caramelized onions to two locations in Houston proper. The restaurant is currently staffing up for its two new outposts, and a rep for the restaurant tells Eater that the first will open inside the new Conservatory, the Downtown food hall that is currently in the process of “repositioning” and moving from its former home at 1010 Prairie Street to the EaDo space formerly occupied by Chapman & Kirby. The second location will open later this year at another food hall, the forthcoming Railway Heights Market at 8200 Washington Avenue. For those who are unfamiliar with Pierogi Queen, owner Eva Sek cooks up her family’s classic Polish recipes for pickle soup, stuffed cabbages, and sweet and savory pierogi filled with sauerkraut and mushroom or strawberry sauce and sweet farmer’s cheese. The original League City outpost opened in 2016, and per an ABC13 story in October 2019, she planned on opening a Pierogi Queen in the Heights in 2020. Expect the Conservatory outpost of Pierogi Queen to open sometime this spring, and the Railway Heights Market location to debut in late summer or fall." - Adele Chapin

We visited this little Polish gem for a Friday supper. We shared several items and they were all delicious. We tried both the pan-fried and deep-fried piergi and a marsala crepe. The gooey Polish fries, a Pierogi Queen invention, are perfectly topped with smoky kielbasa. I am fussy when it comes to golabki (cabbage rolls), and these were very good. But the show stopper was the nalesnicki (aka blini, blintz): delicate perfection.

Absolutely wonderful! I thought it was a little odd that there were no onions with the kielbasa, but it did not take anything away from the food which was great! Am planning on going back again when my daughter is in town. She is proud of her Polish heritage and loves the food. She will be in heaven here.

The food was excellent! Of course, if pierogi is in the name... They better be good. And they were! We tried the meat filled, cheese and potato and sauerkraut. We had ours pan fried with onions - the way to go. All three were well received by our table. A spicy mustard or sour cream would've been great to go with it. I didn't care for the cabbage roll, but the rest of the table cleaned their plates. Their French fries are top notch! They hand cut them a D fry them fresh to order and you can tell. Delicious. Will come back again.

Great food and atmosphere. The place is immaculately clean, the walls have beautiful pictures, even the restroom is nicely decorated. This was a little surprise stop for us and we're so glad we did. Excellent service, first of all. The blood sausage platter with an egg was excellent. The egg was over easy, but the fringes was crisp. The sausage is very lightly seasoned and full of barley, pan fried and great with the toast and egg. The perogies were delicious, though I wish it had some to of sauce to got with it. I ordered the Chipotle sauce and it went very well with these. The bigos or Hunter's stew was delicious, thick and sweet with the cabbage and carrots, the meat was so tender and the sausage in there was very tasty. All in all a great little local spot.

I came for homemade pierogies, and was not disappointed! These pierogies have the perfect balance of dough and filling. Fillings were not too dense (some potato and farmers cheese pierogies can get too dry and dense; these were just right). I wish a second location could open inside 610, so that I could visit more often!

Great pierogis! I had the potato and farmers cheese, and potato and cheddar. So many tasty looking dishes on the menu. I can't wait to go back!

I only learned of this place because my wife accidentally stumbled upon it while searching on Google maps. I love pierogi and I figured that it could either be really good or really bad. It was absolutely delicious. The menu is small but you can tell the owner prefers quality over quantity. I tried a mixture of the different types on my first go-around and was stunned. As a matter of fact, I ordered 12 more to go to take to my children. I even ordered dessert and about fell out of my chair once the blintzes hit strawberry sauce. The woman at the front That greets you is extremely polite and very friendly. The charm of having a little bit of Poland in league City is awesome. I only wish, that it was easy to find! Google maps will take you right there, but you still need to use your eyes or else you'll miss it which is really sad considering this place has so much to offer.

Every time I've been by this place the service is excellent. I try something new every time and have yet to be let down. If they have something that you have a question about ask them they'll be more than happy to be accommodating.
