League City’s Pierogi Queen Will Bring Its Beloved Polish Dumplings to Two Houston Locations - Eater Houston
"Popular League City Polish restaurant Pierogi Queen will bring its pan-fried pierogis stuffed with caramelized onions to two locations in Houston proper. The restaurant is currently staffing up for its two new outposts, and a rep for the restaurant tells Eater that the first will open inside the new Conservatory, the Downtown food hall that is currently in the process of “repositioning” and moving from its former home at 1010 Prairie Street to the EaDo space formerly occupied by Chapman & Kirby. The second location will open later this year at another food hall, the forthcoming Railway Heights Market at 8200 Washington Avenue. For those who are unfamiliar with Pierogi Queen, owner Eva Sek cooks up her family’s classic Polish recipes for pickle soup, stuffed cabbages, and sweet and savory pierogi filled with sauerkraut and mushroom or strawberry sauce and sweet farmer’s cheese. The original League City outpost opened in 2016, and per an ABC13 story in October 2019, she planned on opening a Pierogi Queen in the Heights in 2020.
