Here’s Where to Spend 36 Food and Wine-Filled Hours in Lodi - Eater SF

"“Everyone does their stint at Pietro’s,” one winery tasting room associate explained of a typical high school job in town. “It’s like a rite of passage here in Lodi.” And for good reason. Everyone seems to love Pietro’s. The Murdacas first started the family restaurant in the 1950s in Vacaville; a few decades later, in 1985, Pietro Murdaca and his son Jim opened the Lodi spot, and it’s been going strong ever since. The classic Italian restaurant features local wines, pasta, and hearty southern Italian dishes. A lovely demonstration garden welcomes guests out front and supplies herbs and vegetables for the dining room. In winter, start with tender housemade meatballs in a bed of chunky tomato sauce, and stay cozy with a primi of tagliatelle in pork sausage, veal, and porcini bolognese. Absolutely do not miss dessert, from the butterscotch budino to the salted caramel-mocha gelato pie. The latter, a layered ice cream presentation with a crunchy crust, is impossibly light for something so rich." - Laura Smith Borrman

Three entrees, three drinks, three salads and one dessert. Everything was excellent. A bit of a wait, but this was my first time there and my wife highly recommended. You can watch the food preparation in the open kitchen, everything is fresh and seasonal produce is featured, including in the desserts. Our bill at lunchtime was $175 (pre-tip) and well worth it. Great way to celebrate a friend's birthday. Although this restaurant is a solid 45 minute drive for us, I would definitely make the trip for high-quality, delicious Italian. So many things on the menu looked divine, I will certainly be back to sample the selection.

We had a truly fantastic dinner at Pietro's Trattoria in Lodi, CA. We were lucky enough to sit on their outdoor patio, which was absolutely splendid. The atmosphere was incredibly charming and made for a perfect evening. The food was just as great as the setting. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, from the authentic pasta dishes to the wood-fired pizza. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Overall, the combination of the wonderful atmosphere and the awesome food makes Pietro's a must-visit spot.

Dining in for Father’s Day celebration. I’ve been here many times before. Always welcoming. We asked for outdoor seating. Great Ambiance. Our server was great. Food was great. Although, they can do better on the 3 skinny asparagus included on the "Catch of the day". Kinda wilted. Til our next dine in! I forgot to also mention. We were seated in a tight/narrow spot. Where our server was having a hard time getting our food on our table. See last photo.

My friend was like you know what let's ditch the men and go have girl dinner! Yes, say less. We drove out to Lodi and arrived at the outside vibes of Italy. Almost like transported. We did not have a reservation and was almost turned away. *Angelica like music plays. Three seats at the bar were open. We will take them! My drink was never empty! The bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar *chefs kiss. Gnocchi was delicious clouds of joy! Meatballs on point. We loved everything! We were too full for dessert but I bet it would be delicious! Highly recommend!

Our party of five had a great meal in a relaxed atmosphere even though Pietro's was busy. A reservation was necessary. The gnocchi, ox tail, and pasta dishes were excellent. Nice water and wine selections. The homegrown tomatoes on the bruschetta were a flavorful treat. Service was pleasant and efficient. I am looking forward to the planned changes, another satisfying experience in the near future.

Excellent food. The sandwich was a bit thick and dry, but tasty and filling. The ravioli, chicken Parmesan and the risotto were perfect in my opinion. Listen to your server when he suggests daily specials.

Love coming here at Pietro’s! It’s our favorite Italian place here in Central Valley! Food are delicious! We had calamari fritti 10/10, meatballs which was a little salty for us but still good 7/10. I had the pappardelle 10/10, husband got the Toscana pizza which has a surprise taste to it 7/10. Plus the complimentary focaccia bread which was very delicious! 🤤 Place was packed as usual, it’s good that we had the reservation so we were seated right away. Staff are attentive. Great place if you want to eat Italian food, highly recommended!

On Friday, June 6, 2025, we dined at Pietro's Trattoria in Lodi and was thoroughly disappointed. The bread contained a long hair, which I almost swallowed, causing discomfort as it stuck in my throat and mouth. I recommend that customers be cautious when eating here. Our orders included Calamari Fritti as an appetizer, Braised Oxtail for my husband, and Beef Market Cut for me.

Yelp
Pietro's in Lodi was an absolute delight from start to finish. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting--one of those spots that instantly makes you want to settle in, order a glass of wine, and stay awhile. I tried the Funghi Pizza, and wow--easily one of the best mushroom pizzas I've ever had. It came loaded with two kinds of mushrooms, porcini and portobello, giving it this deep, earthy flavor that paired beautifully with its focaccia-like crust and melty fontina cheese. You can tell they use quality ingredients and actually care about what they're serving. The barbabietola salad (I hope I'm remembering that name right!) was fresh, colorful, and really tasty--beets, greens, a little tang, and just the right amount of dressing. It paired perfectly with the pizza. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Our waitress had great energy and made the whole experience even better. Overall, Pietro's is the kind of place that reminds you why dining out is supposed to be fun--great food, great people, and an atmosphere that feels like home

Yelp
5/5 Food: Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious from start to finish. They began the meal with warm focaccia bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar -- soft, fresh, and a perfect start. For our appetizer, we ordered the calamari, which was lightly crisped, tender, and perfectly seasoned. For entrées, I had the Creste de Gallo, and my husband ordered the Ripieni, a house-made spinach tortelloni stuffed with ricotta and Parmigiano, finished with a rich cream sauce, toasted breadcrumbs, more Parmigiano, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It was absolutely incredible -- creamy, savory, and full of flavor. We also shared the Super Special Pizza, which was another standout. It was the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and spicy. To finish, we shared the tiramisu, which was light, creamy, and beautifully balanced -- the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Service: The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, even with the restaurant being packed. Our dishes came out in perfect timing, and everyone made us feel well taken care of. Occasion & Atmosphere: We came to celebrate my birthday, and Pietro's made it extra special. When we were seated, there was a birthday card waiting at the table -- such a thoughtful touch! The restaurant was full and lively, but still warm and welcoming, perfect for both celebrations and cozy date nights. Overall: We loved every part of our dinner at Pietro's. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch. With such a large and tempting menu (especially their pasta and protein dishes), we can't wait to come back and try more. Highly recommend for authentic Italian and a great dining experience in Lodi!

Yelp
I've been to Pietro's a few times now and always leave happy, and this visit was no exception! This time I brought the family to celebrate an anniversary, and everyone had a wonderful time. We ordered the New York steak, meatball sandwich, Jimmy salad, and chicken parmigiana. I couldn't pass up the beef minestrone soup--it was hearty, flavorful, and hit the spot. The sourdough bread to start was warm and delicious, especially paired with their vinegar and oil. The steak could have used just a little more seasoning (salt and pepper would have brought it up a notch), and the chicken on the Jimmy salad would have been even better warmed up. That said, the dishes were all satisfying and well-prepared. Who knew they don't offer any steak or hot sauce? To top things off, because of our special occasion, we were treated to a serving of tiramisu that was sweet, creamy, and a perfect way to end the meal. Our waitress, Kate, was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Overall, a great experience as always. We can't wait to check out the new location once it opens!

Yelp
The best Italian place in town! We recently visited for lunch without a reservation. Quick seating and immediately greeted by their staff. Upon seating, we were greeted by our server. Ordered. Food came out super quick. We were pleased with their service and how quick everything was. We ordered their salad, calamari, pizza and a pasta plate. For the two of us, we had plenty of leftovers left. Their complimentary bread was delicious. Definitely a must if you're craving Italian food!

Yelp
Wow! I have to say one of the best Italian restaurant I've been to by far! We were seated outdoors for brunch and it was just perfect and not too busy on a Sunday. They served complimentary bread with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It was soo good! We then ordered the eggs in purgatory, super special pizza, side of fried and the gelato pie for dessert. Everything was so tasty and bursting in flavor! Eggs in purgatory ($21): huge portion and came with a big piece of bread. Really flavorful with tomato sauce, eggs and polenta topped with basil. Must try! Super special pizza ($22): the pie was a bit too soggy in the center but I love how saucy the pizza was. Crust was unique with parm shavings! Pepperoni was also really good with a bit of spice to it! I love how the pizza are not doughy at all! Perfectly thin! Fries ($7): thick cut fries but salted perfectly. Only wish it was crispier on the outside. It came with side of ketchup. Gelato pie ($14): this months flavor is peach and amaretto. So good! It was refreshing and not too sweet, just the perfect amount of sweetness! It's made in house and I can tell they use fresh ingredients! I will definitely be coming again as the service and food was excellent!

Yelp
We came for lunch on a Tuesday and was surprised how the parking lot was pretty full which was normally a good sign. As soon as you get out of your you are greeted by planter boxes with peppers, basil, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes. It was a nice touch. We were at first seated in their patio but asked to be moved to the main room since there were insects biting outside . Other than that, the patio area has a working fountain with a more casual setup. On to the food. The minestrone soup and bread came out first . The soup had enough flavor but not salty. The bread was fresh out of the oven and was a good match for the oil and vinegar dip. The Margherita Pizza was of decent size that could easily be shared. All the dishes had good flavor. The cioppino had a little spice to it, the pasta was cooked just right. The service was a little slow and not very attentive. We had to flag to fill our drinks, we had to ask for dessert menu which I think would've been something that would be offered seeing we already asked for to go boxes . Otherwise I think I would still recommend it to others and would also probably come back if in the area and craving pasta/pizza .

Yelp
Outstanding food and drinks, outstanding service from waitstaff, and an overall, welcoming ambiance at Pietro's. Their pizzas have a wonderful chewy crust. The complimentary bread is heavenly - tender with a great mouth-feel. We dined recently at the bar and had fantastic service from our bartender (unfortunately, I forgot his name). He made me a delicious whisky sour with egg whites.... it was juicy and luscious. And, every one of our dishes was out-of-this world. From the Meatball appetizer to the Gnocchi (oh so pillowy tender!) to the Ravioli. They plan on moving to a new, bigger location in a few months. In its current location will be a Steakhouse. We are looking forward to both!

Yelp
First and foremost all I can say is that I was left speechless. Me and my gf were visiting Stockton and were taken to this place by the people we were visiting. I initially didn't think much of it as my gf and I don't really care for Italian food and have never really had Italian food that we ACTUALLY like. Well this place absolutely changed my entire perspective on Italian food. I feel like my frontal lobe fully developed a 2nd time eating here. Let first start off with the Gnocci. It was the best thing I think I've ever eaten this year. It single-handedly felt like I was Remy in ratatouille when mixing the strawberry with cheese. (12/10) Next the super special pizza. My gf ordered this and absolutely loved it and said it was her favorite pizza ever. I did try it and it was splendid, even though I am not a fan of all the topping's (9/10) The service was attentive and very welcoming and the ambiance was great! One thing I forgot to take a picture of was the bread that they give you, but it's amazing 10/10. I'm not sure when I'll be back in this area, but I know when I am I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Had such a wonderful experience at Pietro's in Lodi! The food was delicious, everything we ordered was so delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service made the night extra special. Our waiter, Dakota, was absolutely fantastic attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Especially with our loud group lol. It's so refreshing to have someone who goes above and beyond to make you feel taken care of. Highly recommend Pietro's, and if you can, ask for Dakota!

Yelp
I recently heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and since I was in the area with my kids, we decided to come here for late lunch. I ordered their chicken parmigiana, my eldest ordered their special which was the ripieni, my other daughter ordered their kids spaghetti and my youngest got the chicken parmigiana as well. Food was great. I actually enjoyed my chicken parmigiana. I thought the service was great , our server, Daniel was attentive but it did get busy and there was a moment where he forgot to come back to fill our water after we requested for it a few minutes prior. Overall, good place for fresh pasta. We would come back again.

Yelp
This was our second visit, and we chose to celebrate my husband's birthday. Both the food and service here are consistently exceptional! The entire team, including the manager, takes such genuine care of every guest, even when the restaurant is fully booked. You can really feel their warmth and professionalism. The restaurant thoughtfully surprised him with a complimentary tiramisu, which made the occasion even more special! Highly, highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!!

Yelp
Pietro's is a very popular Italian restaurant in Lodi. We came on a Friday evening for dinner. The place was full of people and was very busy, so I recommend getting reservations. It's beautifully decorated inside and outside. The inside has light wooden tables, with rattan chairs, and maroon colored booths. The patio dining area has a large round cement water fountain as the focal point, and it is surrounded by wooden tables, rattan chairs, and large navy and white striped umbrellas. There are overhead electric heaters on the patio for cool evenings or cool days. They also have a small bar at the entrance. The kitchen is an open kitchen where you can view the busy chefs cooking. The servers looked professional and sharp dressed in white buttoned up shirts, black ties, black pants, and black aprons. The staff is friendly and attentive. Our water glasses were always full and the waiter was always close by whenever we needed anything. Our food was delicious. For appetizers, we had Prosciutto Di San Daniele D.o.p. The tender prosciutto was sliced thinly into ribbons, and served with burratta cheese, sliced cantaloupe, and basil. We also ordered a special appetizer that was not on the menu. It had sliced sweet heirloom tomatoes, piled with cherry tomatoes, burratta cheese, fresh basil, and drizzled lightly with olive oil and a balsamic vinegar glaze. We ate the appetizers with our complimentary foccacia bread, which was freshly baked and hot out of the oven. We ordered the classic Italian dishes like chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and haricots verts, pappardelle noodles with oxtail ragu, and eggplant parmigiana with haricots verts. We also ordered a dish called Rosie's Pollo Fritto, which was a northern Italian style crispy fried chicken, with fire roasted cherry tomatoes, salsa verde, and shaved parmigiano reggiano. It was also served with the haricots verts. The waiter served the dishes with freshly grated parmesan and everything was delicious. Portions were just right. Lastly we ordered desserts of homemade carmel sea salt gelato & spumonie gelato to share. Each dish of ice cream was served with a homemade crispy sweet pizzelle. It was a refreshing end to a delicious dinner. Now you know why Pietro's is such a popular Italian restaurant. It has everything you would want in an Italian restaurant! Delicious food, beautiful surroundings, and friendly and attentive staff.

Yelp
I was visiting Sacramento and my friends there insisted I try this Italian spot they love -- and I'm so glad I did. The restaurant had this almost European feel to it -- like a high-end Italian restaurant you'd stumble into while traveling abroad. Super cozy, but with a polished, foreign vibe that really set the tone for the night. The service was great -- the staff was attentive, a bit too attentive, but was very helpful. I ordered the Creste de Gallo, and honestly... I still crave it. The flavors were incredible, and the pasta was cooked perfectly -- probably one of the best dishes I've ever had. My friends ordered different dishes, and literally, every single one was delicious and had their own exquisite flavor. You can tell the quality and care that goes into the food here. We were actually coming back from a National Park that day, and it was also a holiday so we were worried about timing -- but thankfully we made it, and it was 100% worth the effort. Prices are on the higher side (around $25-$30+ per dish), they do give the bread as complimentary and you can ask for more, too. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. It's easily one of the best Italian meals I've had in a long time.

Yelp
It's been a while but always a pleasant experience and the food! The food is always so good, no complaints. They're always busy ... wonder why! This time I had the pappardelle and ordered a few other dishes to go. It was a girls wine day and stopped by to enjoy good food. The ambiance is always busy but it's like you're having lunch or dinner at a family's home. Def didn't disappoint.

Yelp
Came here for our anniversary and it's immediately become our favorite Italian place, if we were closer by we would come regularly. Not only is the restaurant well-renovated, but the ambiance is so warm, inviting, and subtly elegant, and the food is phenomenal. Everything on the menu is excellent, and love the non-alcoholic cocktails. Love watching the pizzas get made. Service is top notch.

Yelp
Pietros is the best Italian food in the area. Make sure you call in a reservation! I have been here for girls night, birthdays and they have a hall for business dinner as well. Their bread is to die for and their eggplant Parmesan is my favorite! The service is amazing and their portions are big! Stop in and enjoy some delicious food!

Yelp
Pietro's for Mother's Day Review: The Mother's Day menu for 2025 included 2 Antipasti- we picked bruschetta & meatballs 1 Insalata- we picked pietros salad 2 Primis- we picked Amatriciana and Gnocchi 2 Secondi- we picked the gamberoni and bistecca. Overall the food was fantastic as usual and I would recommend coming to Pietro's for a Mother's Day celebration. Service was a bit slower than I am used to and we were in the restaurant for about 2 hours. First bread we were served was lukewarm and the mozzarella was pretty chewy compared to what we have had in the past. We also never received utensils for serving the salad and main dishes like we have received in the past. Little details that we noticed didn't get done when they had a full house of guests. Also timing between menu items were slow. Even with the slow service Pietros is still the best Italian restaurant in our area! The ambiance was very family friendly and had parties of all sizes during our reservation time.

Yelp
Went to Pietro's on a Wednesday afternoon after my daughter's dance class, and let me just say, this place is popular! They were very accommodating towards me and my family without a reservation; although, I highly recommend a reservation for how busy it can get. They are very kid friendly, even had a car seat sling for my infant. Our waiter Dante was so nice. Very down to earth and attentive. Our food took a bit longer than expected but he assured us that it was on its way. His recommendation on drinks was spot on. I ordered the Mona Lisa, and it was exactly how he described it, the sweetest drink on the menu. Loved it! I also ordered the Porchetta. It was delicious. A tad bit overpowering on the arugula but nevertheless, a delicious meal with the perfectly added crunch to the roasted pork. Definitely reordering and definitely coming back!

Yelp
My Husband and I had such a great time here! It was packed but we made a reservation and were able to sit down in less than 2 minutes! Our waitress was Taylor; she was so sweet and let us know of all the specials of the day! The food was amazing! it's a really nice atmosphere to be in. I personally loved how they have their own small garden before you walk into the restaurant :,) it's the small details like that. We will be coming back so until next time Pietro's! * Rating 10/10

Yelp
Came into town very tired last night, just looking for a convenient spot to eat before staying at a local motel. Never expected such a great place. It was packed at 815 on a Monday night. Three chefs hard at work in open kitchen and two bartenders busy at it as well. Outside is lovely with beds of tomatoes and basil growing as you walk in. Place is delightful and staff is friendly and efficient. They are clearly well managed and a well oiled machine. The homemade flatbread, oil and balsamic vinegar is fantastic, and we split a super special wood fired pizza. I saw another half dozen dishes I wanted to jump in the middle of too! My daughter had a cocktail called a Mona Lisa that she said tasted like summertime. We were in and out in 45 minutes, with a bill under $40. I'll definitely return when I'm stuck in Lodi again

Yelp
This review is strictly for the yearly Galentine's event held at Pietro's. This is always a fun time! A lot of planning & details go into making this event great which is why attendance is very much desirable. Tickets go on sale on a specific date/time and usually sellout within 15-20 minutes of the tickets going on sale. Let me say, tickets are well worth the price. This year, with the taxes, each ticket was about $129.xx. This includes your meal, unlimited signature drinks or wine, your flower bouquet that you get to hand pick yourself, picture from the Photo Booth, goodies that are placed at your seat. The music is always upbeat, it's an overall great time! This year, my only complaint was that our party got split into 3 tables. Last year, we were a party of 8 and were able to sit together. This year, with the split, each table had a different server so we went through the different phases of having dinner, making our flower bouquet, taking pics at the Photo Booth, etc at different times. Each table was limited to 2 hours, whereas in previous years, there wasn't a time limit set. I get they limited the time to sell more tickets but we still want to be able to sit with our party and being split up was not as fun. All in all, we still enjoyed our time.

Yelp
What an amazing Italian restaurant. The place was packed is an understatement! Yet we were taken care of promptly and sat quickly. Our waiter was so bubbly and friendly. He gave us our time and had amazing recommendations. The whole menu looks delicious. We all went for something different and none disappointed. Service was on time even with the crazy amount of people there coming and going. The fresh bread was to die for as well as the balasamic and olive oil dip he poured us. We were so full. I had the raviolis with a glass of local Lodi wine that paired amazing. It was a very family feel to the place that was so welcoming. We even crammed some ice cream for dessert that was so good. We barely could walk when we left. A great night and the price was so accessible to anyone! We will be back. Still dreaming of that steamy bread!!

Yelp
Pillows of heaven! Those gnocchi in cream sauce with prosciutto... they are literally pillows of heaven! I've never had any gnocchi like it! Perfection! Smooth creamy flavor! I'd travel far and wide for those gnocchi. Pietro's is a lovely restaurant with ample parking located in Lodi California that came highly recommended by locals. Started with the special prosciutto with creamy burrata and melon that was amazing! The chef sent a lovely mozzarella in olive oil with bread crumbs. The bread is freshly oven baked with assagio cheese. The owner is very nice. The staff very professional! Five star experience!! 100% would return!!!

Yelp
Service was great, server was nice and friendly and helped me make a decision. She was very attentive as well. The food was so delicious and I enjoy how much oxtail was in the pasta, cooked to perfection. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and welcoming and the outdoor seating area is beautiful. I didn't care for my drink which tasted like a glass of orange juice but I lt was tolerable I'll stick to basic tequila next time. But I enjoyed my brunch date with my bestie here and we will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Stopped into Pietro's for lunch with my co workers. We were greeted promptly and the host was very friendly and thorough in regards to asking about any allergies in my party. We ordered the bruschetta for our appetizer and then also enjoyed there very soft and yummy bread with evvo and balsamic that they shared with the table. I decided to order the pork milenesa sandwich, with a salad, which was delicious. My co workers ordered the lasagna and the chicken piccata both with were hearty portions and very yummy. The service was good and overall very friendly! Enjoyed our lunch and will be back. Note their parking lot can be kind of crazy busy and a challenge to find a spot

Yelp
Just Wow. Came here for dinner over the weekend and I was incredibly pleased with the food and environment! Food: wide variety of selections, but my personal favorite was the Parmesan chicken. Chicken is tender and juicy, topped with perfectly melted cheese. The pasta itself has been marinated by the amalgamation of marinara and chicken juice. Overall a simple yet delicious dish Service: Great service. Waiter periodically checked in, and was never a bother. Very helpful in recommending dishes and appetizers Ambiance: Warm, quiet, and welcoming

Yelp
I ordered lasagna for take out over the phone. Was nice to get a text acknowledging the order and another when ready for pick up. I want expecting everything I received. A loaf of bread (focaccia?), garlic butter and grated Parmesan. Everything was amazing! The lasagna noodles were perfect, the flavors delightful. A very generous serving.

Yelp
My friend and I were searching for a local Italian restaurant that did not require us going to Olive Garden. Came across this gem on Yelp and I must say it was impressive. Spacious parking. They have valet if that's your thing. A beautiful house garden filled with broccoli, dill and much more to walk through. I made a reservation prior being that it was a Friday night and my first time here. We were running a a few min behind but they did emphasize the 15 min grace period. I started off with a virgin Mona Lisa and it was delicious!! Then made our way to the ROSETTA'S ARANCINI (fried risotto ) which was also delicious. These things were massive, I ended up taking the 3rd one home. Also the bread loaf is too good. I was craving pesto but decided to go with the lasagna. If we are being honest, it tasted a little burnt and the excessive cheese was in fact a bit much. I was also searching for more pasta layers. I had high expectations being that this was a house made lasagna. When I come back I will definitely try the pesto sauce. My friend tried the CIOPPINO and demolished it! Lastly we saw a couple next to us order the THE SPUMONI and had to try it. The strawberry ice cream was the best and I'd probably order a tub of it to go if I could. Overall 5 stars and looking forward to trying out some new items on the menu. See you soon Pietros!!

Yelp
This is our second trip to Pietro's in Lodi and it continues to impress. I needed a place to celebrate my birthday and they accomodated a same-day reservation. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and seated quickly. The ambience is classic and inviting with cozy lighting, elegant décor, and a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a good experience. Now, the food is absolutely fantastic! The Chicken Parmesan was perfectly breaded, with tender, juicy chicken and just the right amount of marinara and melted cheese. The lasagna was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with fresh ingredients, each bite was comforting and delicious. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Pietro's is a must-visit for fresh, authentic Italian food served with care in a welcoming environment. We'll be back!

Yelp
I have never been here before and everyone I know has raved about this place so I finally got to try it out with my boyfriend for his birthday. The service was definitely the highlight of the night and they were really attentive and noticed I was getting very cold during our dinner. Unfortunately I was less than impressed when it came to the food. Although the restaurant itself is cute and the outdoor ambiance is nice for date night, the food was not to my expectations. I will give it to them that their bread was the star of the show but that's about it. I am not sure if this was an off day and we were just unlucky but all of our dishes were just extremely salty and there wasn't much else flavor. I love risotto and salty food but I just could not come close to finishing it. It was very busy so our server wasn't able to stop often and I'm not necessarily the type to complain as it could usually be just not my taste preference. My boyfriend's parents come here often and usually order the same things but tonight they left unsatisfied compared to their previous visits and insisted it's not usually like this. We are the kind of family to always get dessert but after the meal we were just not feeling up to it. It clearly is a popular place and the staff were amazing! Hopefully if we come back I'll get to see what the hubbub is all about

Yelp
This restaurant is a must if you are in the area. Wish I lived closer bc I would be coming here often. Food is amazing and service is great. We went Father's Day weekend so it was very busy. My husband and I got good seats at the bar. Ryan was so helpful and gave us great recommendations. He's amazing! We absolutely loved the drinks and food. Can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
Our server Andrew was amazing! He offered us all the specials and knew them to a tea. Our server was consistent on checking in with us while keeping a positive and kind attitude. I had ordered the Pappardelle with a glass of Moscato, and I was amazed. The glass of Moscato was so crispy and refreshing paired with my plate. We ended our dinner with the tiramisu, highly recommended trying. My cousins and I opted for the outdoor dining when making our reservation, and so happy we did. The lights outside along with the water fountain really set the tone outside. I'll definitely be returning for many more girl dinners

Yelp
Everything here was great, the fresh warm bread, the cocktail menu, the service and the handmade pasta! This is definitely a treat and a must stop in Lodi for a special night out.

Yelp
I'm not from this area but came here to celebrate my cousin's graduation. He loves this restaurant with his family and I'm so glad they got to share it with us. We loved all the dishes we had. The risotto was creamy and so very flavorful. The lasagna was a hit with all my family. The service was so attentive, fast, and kind. Appreciated how patient and understanding they were with our large party. We ate outside there were a lot of flies at first but then they brought out little fans to keep the flies away and we were able to enjoy our meals in piece. If you're ever in this area, this is a must try. And I DO NOT usually enjoy Italian restaurants. But this was a very great experience.

Yelp
When my friend; a Midwest native, told me there was a Pietros here ... I was absolutely shocked. There is one in a city I used to live in; that makes amazing pizza, and so I knew we had to check this place out. The exterior is creative with the garden planted right in the front, giving you that home grown quality ingredients vibe. Then once you step inside the interior is one of the more luxurious and quaint feeling out of any I've ever been too. For food we ordered a pepperoni pizza, ravioli with meat sauce, and calamari. By the way their iced tea is fresh brewed. All of the food had great quality flavor and nothing tasted out of a can of reheated. Will for sure be back again when in the area wine tasting.

Yelp
From the get go this place was amazing! We lucked out with beautiful weather and got to enjoy the patio seating next to the warmth of a heater and complimentary blankets provided by the restaurant. Such a sweet and cozy touch! The food was incredible. We had a bigger group and opted to order a variety of things and share. Between the complimentary loaf, mussels, burrata toast, gnocchi, and pizza, there was not a single bite that dissatisfied our taste buds. The service was prompt and helpful. Our server even took pictures of us afterwards so we could remember our special reunion of friendship. This was about a 45 minute drive from Sacramento but so worth it!

Yelp
We received a recommendation from locals to come here. I have to admit, coming from a much larger metropolitan city I was skeptical whether a small town like Lodi could have a world class restaurant. Well, in general our expectations were met. It's a beautiful space, great design, extremely friendly and hospitable staff. As far as the food? We loved the pizza, but the pasta that I ordered, the tagliatelle, was not very good. It was just extremely plain for the price. So I would say absolutely I would love to come back, but I would probably order something different next time. All in all, very lively and you could tell that all of the guests were enjoying themselves. I understand they are moving to a larger location so maybe the next time I'm in the area, I will be able to try that one out.

Yelp
Their food was so good and they were pretty busy so I almost don't want to leave this review but I have tooo! The waiters were all extremely kind and attentive, the food 10/10 and that desert was so good. And the bread was approved by me and more importantly my Arabic boyfriend (he loves bread)

Yelp
We came here for the first time for our anniversary. It was crowded but it was not a long wait to be seated or to get our food. Both waitresses were awesome. The recommendations were perfect. The ambiance was cozy and we loved the glass wall of wine bottles. We also bought some sauce to take home it was so amazing. And I my new favorite drink in the picture. Some of the best food I ever had. We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
First time coming here. On a Saturday at 3pm this place was busy, which is a good sign. Outside the restaurant they actually have a garden with vegetables and fruit. Focaccia bread was brought to our table which was very light but tasted great. I ordered the lasagna which came out piping hot so be aware. They do warn you before you eat it but it looked and smelled so good you just want to dive right in. I then had the gelato pie. Extremely good. I would definitely have it again Overall I highly recommend this place for great Italian food.

Yelp
I had the most amazing experience trying Pietro's! I went on a Monday night and it was PACKED. I was worried because I didn't make a reservation, but they were able to get us seated upon arrival (although I highly recommend you make a reservation regardless). The menu is a bit overwhelming if you aren't familiar with an Italian menu. The staff helped us pick items and explained the menu to us. We were offered complimentary cocktails/ mocktails upon arrival. The pesto is heavenly... it was super flavorful and perfect paired with the gnocchi. Everything came out super quick despite the packed building. More of an upscale casual vibe. I can't wait to take all of my friends here!

Yelp
We LOVE Pietros! We first discovered Pietros while looking for a wedding rehearsal lunch venue, and we can't say enough about how great this place is. The space is so cute, the service is extremely attentive, the food is fresh and good quality. We loved our wedding rehearsal lunch we had in the outdoor space. We'll continue to come back! They are also opening a new location pretty soon!
