First of all, the location and surroundings are absolutely beautiful, they also have, besides the restaurant, glamping huts on the lake. We were there for Week of the Restaurant (Teden restavracij) for the set dinner menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant was, in my opinion, not as inviting as it could be due to dead stuffed animals (bear and fish), which I really believe do not belong in an upscale restaurant. We were very nicely greeted (we were one of the first to arrive) and offered champaign. The very nice lady then asked if we wanted additional dishes that were offered on top of the set menu, which we kindly declined, but we took wine pairing. From that moment on, it seemed as if they had forgotten about us and served only tables which ordered the special starters. After the other tables already ate their starters, they all received the amuse-bouche, while they did not bring anything to our table. Almost 50 minutes have passed, and we still did not get any food on the table, besides bread. We asked them why we did not receive anything, and without a word of apology, they just brought the amuse-bouche to the table. After that, the service did not improve. It was very slow and without explanation, which food and wine were served to us. After long 3.5 hours we were ready to leave, but they had some issues with payment machine and a long queue formed in front of the bar, with multiple guests trying to pay and leave (as we apparently could not pay at the table). I would like to emphasise that the food was really amazing, especially the main fish course, but the experience itself, due to service, really overshadowed the excellent food. And this is the reason I'm giving 3 stars. I believe major improvements should be done on the service part, and waiters should be educated on how to make sure all the guests are served in a timely manner.
