Roscoe Village Now Has What May Be the First Pilates Studio/Coffeeshop Combo Ever - Eater Chicago

"Pilates instructor Jacquelyn Brennan and her husband, Ryan Brennan, opened Pilates + Coffee, a combination pilates studio and full-service coffeeshop, at 2144 W. Roscoe Street. The business model features a cafe at the front of their 1,400-square-foot space. They serve Ipsento Coffee and have unique offerings like the Roscoe Joe and the Little Roscoe Rascal for kids. The cafe is intended for the whole neighborhood, not just pilates clients, and they plan to expand their hours soon." - Ashok Selvam

I love being able to grad a really good coffee without a lot of frills, and their reformer classes are the best in the area. It is hard to get into the class at times, but you get off the wait list fairly often. They crew is nice and their gifts and goods a really great quality also. Please go support them, and try the lumberjack latte! Baked goods on weekends.

This is the place for Pilates! (And coffee says my daughter!). I’ve known Jacquelyn about 10 years and was at P&C the day it opened for a safe, challenging and fun class. The teachers are all truly excellent. All of the teachers excel at tailoring the class for who’s enrolled and drill down during class to offer modifications to individuals. Highly recommend

I got a drip coffee and then some beans to make pour overs at home. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in Chicago so far if you’re into a quality cup of coffee. The service was great- need to try the Pilates soon! They also serve Bad Butter (previously Dan the Baker’s) pastries on the weekend.

The espresso drinks here are excellent and their specialty coffees are not too sweet; strong recommend. Staff are super friendly, too!

Really great coffee, best in the village. Great pilates class. I was visiting from out of town and had a great class and very friendly instructor.

Love every class I've taken. Recently took classes with Maddy and Annie. 10/10 The studio is clean, bright, modern

This is my favorite coffee shop in Chicago for a number of different reasons: 1. You could not find a friendlier establishment. Everyone who works there is so nice! 2. Their product is incredible. The beans they use have this delicious flavor profile that I keep craving. It’s unlike anything else I’ve ever had and puts all the other big coffee chains to shame. 3. This is truly a local neighborhood coffee shop + Pilates studio that brings a sense of togetherness to Roscoe Village. I love seeing families come in with their littles + their dogs while talking to the owners about residential news. We 🖤🤍 Pilates + Coffee!

This coffee shop is one of my favorites in the city. Ryan, Eli and company are friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable about their craft. They are passionate about the quality of the product they are putting out and it shows in every cup.

Yelp
The coffee was okay-- I wasn't a huge fan, especially because it was pretty pricy. However the Pilates class I took afterwords was FANTASTIC. My instructor was so patient and knowledge and such a sweetheart-- I highly recommend. The only thing is that I wish the cafe had more food options, more comfortable seating, and was open after my Pilates class ended at 1. Other than that, super cute vibe and I love the concept!

Yelp
We come here weekly. This is such a roscoe village community staple. The lattes are great! They always give us a little pup cup for our dog, Diesel. And we have met some great people while waiting for our coffee. The staff is great and the aesthetic is clean and calming. I would love to take a Pilates class here someday as well! Would 10/10 recommend for a nice weekend indulgence.

Yelp
Such delicious coffee and a great local spot in Roscoe Village. They have a large menu and offer coffee beans to go. The staff is always friendly, quick, and always treats my dog to a "pupachino" when I am with him and stop in. Such a great addition as I always love a dog friendly establishment. They also put out tables and chairs on the sidewalk in nice weather. The only thing I wish is that this place would be opened a little later for when I need a mid afternoon pick me up. I would rather support local than have to support the big coffee guys down the street!

Yelp
This is a wonderful coffee and mega reformer Pilates studios. I've only visited the coffee shop part of it but the coffee is delicious and they create such a wonderful community feel. They rotate what beans they use but always support local roasters and make sure everything is ethically sourced. Great spot in Roscoe Village! They also have puppuccinos and by the way my dog throws himself into the shop he seems to love them!

Yelp
Delicious coffee and tea selection, as well as other fun things to spend your money on. Looking forward to another visit here before we go.

Yelp
What a great experience. The two workers behind the counter were very helpful and this is some of the best cold brew I've ever tried. I highly recommend this coffee shop. I got a lavender cold brew. I will be returning!

Yelp
Stopped in today for the first time. Met the owner - who was super nice. The shop part is small and cute with a selection of pastries and some fruit and other things along with coffee. There aren't a lot of seats, but if ours there early, there should be plenty of room if you want to relax a bit. I had my go-to drink - a cappuccino. Comes in one size, but that is totally fine with me. I had my coffee quickly and a nice little chat in the meantime. Definitely worth a visit. I'll have to try some Pilates next time.

Yelp
This is my new favorite coffee spot. I stopped here while on business, and the owner greeted me as I walked in. I hung out for a while and talked with Ryan while he explained the drip brews he had. I had a cup, and then asked what his favorite was; he made me an amazing drink with Ipsento espresso, Coconut milk, honey and Cayenne pepper. Truly my favorite coffee ever - it was rich, delicious and the spice was a nice touch. I've never had anything like it. Do yourself a favor and try it out. I didn't have a chance to go to the Pilates Studio, although it looks fantastic. A true local gem.

Yelp
My dentist is nearby, and either prior to or after each visit, I treat myself to an Ipsento latte, and/or iced coffee. Run by a dynamic duo, the husband runs the cafe (up front) while the wife teaches pilates in the studio (back of shop). The space is entirely open, so you can seat yourself, enjoy a brew, and catch a glimpse of the action in the studio. Very relaxing, and inviting space. Parking is usually available out front on Roscoe.

Yelp
In from out of town and always in search of a good latte in the morning so I'm glad I stopped by. Ryan the owner provided a great conversation and local insight on where to drink and eat while in Roscoe. The conversation was only exceeded by the latte to start my day and will be coming back every morning I'm in town.

Yelp
Cute husband and wife owned spot!! My husband recently picked up coffee from there and the owner, Ryan, was so nice! Love supporting small business who really care about their customers and the product they're putting out! Even better, he's a Buffalo Bills fan! Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is my first ever Yelp review, which means, I feel THIS strongly about P+C. I moved to a new apartment just around the corner from P+C and I figured I'd give it a try last week since I've been curious about the Reformer and Pilates in general. The staff makes you feel immediately comfortable and at home, but the best part is the workout. I've never felt so balanced, both physically and mentally. Since last week, I've been to 4 classes and I don't plan on stopping any time soon. Every single instructor knows exactly what they're doing and they empower you to push yourself, but in the healthiest way possible. I met both Jacquelyn and Ryan, the owners, and their passion for what they do sealed the deal. Can't recommend this place enough :). Oh, and if you don't want to squeeze in a workout, at least stop by for a cup of coffee. It's worth it.

Yelp
What a way to start off my week! Went by for a Pilates session which was fantastic and then had to treat myself to an oat milk latte, also fantastic!! The people and vibe of this place are so cheery and bright. The owners are truly passionate about this concept and I am a fan as well. This might be my new Sunday ritual!!

Yelp
The best way I can think to describe Pilates + Coffee is "good vibes". I come to the studio specifically for pilates, so I can't comment on the coffee side. The owner, Jacquelyn Brennan, is so passionate about pilates. Each class I have taken there from her and the other instructors has been creative, well planned, and fun. I think pilates studios can easily have an intimidating vibe, but you can tell at P+C that everyone who works there is happy to have you in. Also, it is the cutest studio I have ever been in. Natural light fills the studio from the floor to ceiling windows, and the reformers are top of the line. You can feel the difference in the smoothness of the reformer movement. I'm really glad I found this neighbohood studio to be part of my weekly routine. And my abs can definitely feel it the next day :)

Yelp
Organic milk, oat milk(oatly) and who knows what other kinds of milk they have. Best espresso machine in the village and surrounding area. They had a scone on the weekend which was good but other than that it's just bars and drinks+snacks for kids.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop. I haven't had a pilates class there, but the cappuccinos are great. They carry Ipsento coffee, which is one of my favs. Love the concept of the place. Barista/store owner was super friendly, service was great.
