Desserts are poetry served in tins--a sensory retreat wrapped in modernity. The space feels like an Instagram post brought to life: clean, minimal, and effortlessly charming. Service is warm and unhurried, an embrace that lets you linger in the glow of their curated offerings.
This visit brought new encounters: the dirty sesame latte, Earl Grey cake, and "Pink Dream" (raspberry, rose, lychee).
The dirty sesame latte was subtle, perhaps too much so. Its espresso was smooth, the brew confident, yet the sesame was almost a ghost. A drink that whispered when I wanted it to sing. It wasn't bad, but lacked the boldness I sought.
The cakes, however, are where Pillow Talk shines. The Earl Grey cake--steeped in the essence of black tea--delivers an unapologetic punch. Each bite wraps you in the comfort of a morning brew, its flavors resolute and grounding. For tea lovers, this is a must.
The Pink Dream, aptly named, is a tart symphony. Raspberry's sharpness meets the floral notes of rose, balanced by lychee's sweet serenity. It's a dance of flavors that refuses to settle--vivid, dynamic, and undeniably captivating.
Though the drinks left room for growth, the cakes are Pillow Talk's soul. They are delicate yet bold, precise yet inviting. I'll return, knowing the cakes will always catch me when the drinks don't. This isn't just a café; it's a confectionary sanctuary where indulgence meets art. Two thumbs up, without hesitation.
