Restaurant right off the airport, you can planes take off and land while you eat. We had the hot honey fried chicken sandwich, the "$100" cheeseburger, and a grilled cheese sandwich with garlic fries. All were very tasty. Will be back to try other interesting items on the menu like the Dutch Baby.

Google
Insanely delicious food. Charming, friendly atmosphere with great staff. The hot honey chicken sandwich was quite literally the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life. Side salad was also killer. Could not more highly recommend.

A must stop! If the weather is nice the patio facing the airstrip is a lovely place to enjoy your meal. The food is amazing, it was hard to choose what to have. We found buying several things and sharing them was a great way to go. Really hearty portions and very flavorful too. Coffee station is well equipped. Super cozy place, go check it out!

Google
Great food, great service, and great atmosphere. I went here on a nice sunny weekend, and was surprised to see it not packed. There was some nice seating outside where you can watch the planes come and go. The food was delicious, we had the classic combo and the North Africak shakshuka, both were really flavorful and good servings. We paired them with mimosas.

I drove by this place plenty, today I decided to take the plunge. While I do not regret my decision to check this place out, I won't be doing that again. This place feels more like a waiting area from a small town train station than a Restaurant. While not obvious upon entering, you are invited to go to counter and buy a ticket, I mean food. This place is the opposite of cozy, it was very chilly and very loud. Most dishes are served on plastic plates, and cold drinks come in plastic cups that have seen better days. You will receive a cup and pump your coffee, with very limited condiments. Coffee was tasty. There are plenty of choices on the menu for everyone. Young, old, vegetarian and even kids have a small area reserved for the usual comforts. The food is below average, especially if you dine frequently around Half Moon Bay's breakfast restaurants. There is plenty of parking, and plenty of seating when we were there. Sunday brunch time. Prepare to wait, we ordered waffles, Rancheros, Grilled Cheese and Chilaquiles. We waited about 20 minutes for our buzzer to go off. We paid about $90 for 3 people.

Google
I really wanted to give Pilot Light 5 stars. I love the yellow accents, the tumbler, and the airfield views. I love the vibe and the simplicity of the menu. I love the energy and the friendliness. The food comes out pseudo upscale. Their focus is on brunch and is appropriately designed with pastries, coffee, pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc. We went for the Dutch Baby Pancakes as they looked so tasteful in pictures. I truly wanted this to be magical but it wasn't. The overall base was a tad bit too eggy and the syrup and tangy fruit compote didn't meld well. More generous usage of cream and perhaps even a bit more flour would've helped. Presentation was great but it just didn't have the finesse and substance to back it up. The $100 Burger fared better but wasn't anything special. I think this place has so much potential. Perhaps we'll give it another shot when we pass by.

Google
Great service - gentleman up front was very friendly while we placed our order and was able to accommodate my annoying substitutions/requests. Took about 10 min to get our food, and it tasted great. Ordered eggs with a side of fruit and salad, and a fried chicken sandwich, which came out to $40 total. We sat at the window and got to watch the planes land and take off. Decor isn’t the same as the three zero cafe that was here before, but is a nice vibe inside. Has a large menu with good prices for the area.

Google
Definitely among the top 3 breakfasts in the Bay Area The best breakfast on the coast imo. And I am super picky and a native of the coast for a while here! We went here the first time today, wanting to try it now that it has reopened. Loved the food, ambiance, and great value. Ingredients were fresh and high quality, menu was particular and discerning, and the place overall is very comforting. Being of Indian heritage, I loved the steel tumblers for water, the copper planters - nostalgic yet tasteful decor. Outdoor, bar, and table seating. A comfy mini sofa where one can relax. Counter ordering, open kitchen. The manager/owner at the front was so kind, taking care of us with professionalism and humility. Fantastic - we have a new breakfast / brunch favorite!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday for my birthday breakfast with my boyfriend. We got the following: * Eggs benedict with 2 poached eggs on an English muffin with hollandaise sauce and Black Forest ham plus potato hash and fresh greens for $20. * Classic Combo with scrambled eggs, sausage, potato hash and buttered sour dough toast for $17. * 2 small buttermilk pancakes for $8 with one plain and one with chocolate chips for an additional $2 * 12 oz coffee for $4 * 12 oz orange juice for $5

Yelp
Clean restaurant. Latte a 7/10. Huevis Ranchos had too many chips. You order from the counter. I would come here if I flew in.

Yelp
The food is terrible! fish and chips is not cod like they say. soggy terrible mess! Green chili in the Mac and cheese for kids? chili powder on the fries? what is going on here? Yuk Yuk Yuk. Floor was dirty. Nobody came back to check on us after giving us our food.

Yelp
Cruised down here for breakfast one day and it was pretty good. The place is a lot bigger than I thought and included a patio outside for dining. This place is an order at the counter and they bring your food to the table kind of place. Table are turned over quickly and the food was plentiful. I will say the items on the menu are things you don't just find anywhere so the Croque Monsieur we had was delightful. They also have sweet or savory dutch babies! Will keep this place in mind for local breakfast spots!

Yelp
Location is pretty cool! You can watch planes land into Half Moon Bay. I didn't see many, but it was a Wednesday morning. I sat outside on their benches and it's cozy and quiet. I ordered their Shakshuka because it's very rare I see this on the menu and it's vegetarian. I try. And I appreciate places that provide vegetarian or vegan options. It was good! Full of flavor, and filling. Just seemed a bit overpriced. I felt like most dishes were overpriced for what they were. The service was good. Very minimal. But friendly. I may go back again to try more menu items and see more plans next time.

Yelp
Headed to the pier to buy fresh seafood on a Sat.  An excuse to have breakfast along the coast. This place is not too crowded, has a homey feel to this place.  Latte and Mocha were robust with double shot espresso, and felt the effects all day long. Dutch baby - fluffy huge pancake with fruits and syrup.  I have made this at home but need to eat fresh out of the oven.  Not too many places offer this dish so it was literally a treat to have it.  Enjoyed it so much. Eggs benedict  - upgraded it to smoke salmon, everything about it was perfect.

Yelp
Came here after a hike in the area with my doggo. Love that the patio is dog friendly and that you can check out the planes while enjoying some food. Enjoyed the mimosa (with pulp!) which was a reasonable $11. The food, ehhh. I was really disappointed. I love Shakshouka and was thrilled to read positive reviews about it. However, the flavors just did not work. Zucchini, corn and peas are cooked in the tomato-based sauce, which tasted like it had no other seasoning. The egg was overdone, and had some sumac and additional seasoning on top, which was an OK bite. I had a lingering taste of egg (not the good kind) long after the meal which was unpleasant. The sliced white bread on the side was cold and felt like an afterthought. Overall I thought it was a nice idea but poor in execution. I had to add hot sauce too season it. Improving the seasoning would enhance this dish, plus serving it with a side of toasted sourdough instead of colder white bread. I had to get my breakfast fix elsewhere afterwards. :(

Yelp
Really cute brunch and lunch spot near half moon bay, on PCH. It is a unique restaurant because it borders a small airport where small jets and planes are housed. Inside has a lot of seating, and the back patio is large for nice weather and dogs to join. I ordered the eggs Benedict and the migas con chorizo. It took a while for the food to come out, probably close to 25-30 minutes for some reason. BUT the quality and taste of the dishes were pretty worth it! Ingredients were fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed the potatoes. Bacon was cooked where it wasn't under or over done. Just right?! Also I'm a sucker for Mexican dishes and I would give the migas con chorizo a 10/10. The chips in the dish were just the right amount of soft but still crunchy. Idk how they do it!

Yelp
Woke up craving brunch and found this really adorable little spot out by Half Moon Bay airport. I'm so happy I found a place that serves a good Dutch Baby! The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was so nice sipping my coffee, enjoying my brunch, and watching the little planes roll by the panoramic windows. Definitely a nice local getaway!

Yelp
Went here a couple weeks ago. Got the smoked salmon benedict. Even though the eggs were a bit overcooked, it was really good and I would definitely order it again. My husband got the huevos rancheros and he finished every bite. Cappuccino was delicious, coffee was good, and service was friendly. You order at the counter and seat yourself. We sat by the window, watching the planes. We will definitely be back!

Tabitha C.

Yelp
Chose this breakfast joint because my husband and I have an affinity for aviation. Such a lovely choice-- the sweet Dutch Baby was amazing & arguably the best Eggs Benedict we've ever had! A must if you're in the area!

Yelp
This is such a wonderful, comfortable place to linger over coffee with friends. Ample parking and seating both indoors and out. Service is friendly and helpful. And sometimes a small plane lands or takes off for some visual entertainment. Now, the food. I'm sorry to say that we have had some items that we will not order again. The burrito, not satisfactory; the croque monsieur was not a simple hot ham and cheese, but a mound of bread, ham and smothered in too much cheese. The smash burger was a disappointment. Coffee was excellent and staff was efficient.

Yelp
Stumbled onto this place after a nice morning hike/workout out on the coast. Very road-stand feel as I've probably drove past it many times but never knew what was here. It is in a small building that looks kinda temporary to serve this tiny airport. Open only breakfast and lunch hours, order at the counter and things will get brought out to your table. Workers were nice but not really enthused. Coffee ($4/4*) Pretty darn strong as it kept me buzzzzed for hours. Pretty dark and strong roast too, this ain't your average diner quality coffee. And its a free pour, so you can knock yourself out, or get a to-go cup and get one for the road, which I graciously obliged in. They also have the strangest coffee mug/vessel for in-house sipping. It is stainless steel in the interior but a rubberized exterior which had their branding on it. So the rubber part made it easy to hold and the steel kept that coffee hot for a long time. And I think the thing can hold almost a pint, which I think prolonged my caffeine high. Eggs and Sausage ala carte ($10/3.5*) The eggs were perfect, cooked to my over easy request, not greasy with vibrant yolks. They use better eggs here than most other places. But I wasn't digging their breakfast sausage links. It almost seemed like it was more like chicken than pork as it was leaner than most. And when I usually eat sausage or bacon for morning outs, I'm not trying to cut calories or be healthy. Just give me a basic juicy old school pork product. I dipped my sausage pieces into the runny yolks to get more richness out of them. Mini Order Pancakes with added Fresh Berries ($8 + $4/4*) So their small order is 2 pancakes, and it was more than enough. There'd be no way I'd ever be able to knock down a large. Their pancakes are decent sized like at least 7-8 inches in diameter. Nice tender batter with good flavor. No butter served with which I thought was strange, but with just a touch of syrup, made for an above average pancake outing. Berries totally a nice touch being quite fresh and vibrant. So it wasn't a sweet compote or anything, straight up cold fresh strawberry, blackberry and blueberry. Each one has its own unique flavor and texture and went well with the maple syrup. Nice find and would most certainly hit them up again. Makes the coastal highway 1 trip that much more unique and special.

Yelp
Great food and fun atmosphere watching small planes come into the airport. You're allowed to bring a dog to the outdoor area too. Staff is very nice as well. I hope to bring my young nephew here in the future, he would love it. Also the Eggs Benedict with the salmon was superb!

Yelp
Parking is easy and the drive there was beautiful. Cute place right off Hwy 1. Service was friendly. My latte was good and the shakshuka I ordered was delicious. I will definitely come back!

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant in Half Moon Bay with a view of the airport. Pina colada pancakes were delicious and fluffy, made with a generous amount of canned pineapple, and topped with granola, pumpkin seeds and shredded coconut. The highlight was the classic Dutch baby with a berry compote and fresh berries. We appreciate that everything was conveniently out- the water, napkins, honey and syrups, and to go boxes. Cleanliness was alright. I recommend wiping the high chairs down before use as there were stains and food crumbs in them.

Yelp
We have been to Pilot Light twice now. Love the vibe of this little place! It's located at the airport - hence the name:-) You can watch small.planes coming and going. This little spot actually seems to be a destination for many a flying wayfarer. The menu is eclectic and always delicious! The coffee is great! Order at the counter and the food is brought to your table with a smile! Will be visiting regularly!

Yelp
The staff is very friendly. It can get pretty busy and they close earlier so plan ahead. It was so good we visited two weekends in a row. The potatoes stole the show for us. Next time I want to try the Dutch baby

Yelp
It's so cool to get off the airplane, walking in the Half Moon Bay airport to Pilot Light for a meal. WOW. I enjoyed having brunch here on a sunny days and watched airplanes taking off and landing. Pilot Light provides breakfast and brunch meals, located right in the heart of the Half Moon Bay airport. There's a super outdoor and indoor seating areas. The service great and the ambiance is epic. The menu is pretty interesting so I bet you will something you like. There's a huge parking area so parking is easy. The potatoes with bell peppers and onions here is fantastic and my absolute favorite. If you are nearby, check it out and you will enjoy dining here.
google avatar

Yelp
Pilot Light is a cute and casual breakfast and lunch restaurant owned by a husband and wife duo. It overlooks a small airport and is a unique restaurant property on an airplane runway on the coast with both indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are welcome! I had a vanilla latte with oat milk, which came in a personalized pilot light mug Tumblr. We also got the homemade orange juice which came in the same Tumblr. The BLTA and fries were delicious, as was the lighter fruit parfait with granola. Unfortunately, the huevos rancheros itself were pretty disappointing as there was no real flavor. (No salsa or seasoning) The chips on this meal were were unsalted so, we asked for a side of salsa to be able to enjoy it. Once I added, some green salsa tasted a whole lot better unfortunately it came out very bland prior. Overall, I think this is a cute casual but fun breakfast spot with a lot of great options in the menu. I'd love to return and try something else next time!
google avatar

Joan T.

Yelp
Have eaten here a couple of times for breakfast. I think I've had the huevos rancheros both times. I don't know if it's just me but the last time they served them with tortilla chips. I think they actually gave me chiliquiles. Another in my party felt the same way about her rancheros. Where are the tortillas she asked The dish was tasty but just not quite what I was expecting. Others in my party liked the meals such as the Dutch baby. I think I'll give this place another try

Yelp
Raj at Pilot Light and the entire staff make things fun ! Chef creates fabulous food Pilots can fly in to the Coastside Yum - oh

Yelp
What a fun place for brunch. It is right at the HMB airport. The service is amazing and the food delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed the day. We shared a cup of fresh orange juice and split the lemon ricotta French toast. I have the 3 egg scramble with chorizo and veggies and they happily substituted mushrooms for bell peppers. The hubby had Shakshuka and love the flavors and dish. We also had a double shot mocha. Needless to say a long walk on the beach was welcomed after this delicious meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Come for the 5 star food and watch the planes takeoff and land. Good spot for a casual breakfast or lunch with friends and family.

Yelp
A hidden gem!!! I don't know how I've never paid attention passing by on highway 1 at the half moon bay airport. This restaurant is LEGIT. I can't wait to tell my friends and family that this place is a must visit. The restaurant had a nice, welcoming vibe. The staff were super friendly and chill. I didn't realize there was outdoor patio seating on the back of the building until after our dishes arrived. It was such a nice day out and would've loved to dine outside...oh well next visit! The food...OMG to the deliciousness, presentation and portions. I had the croque monsieur and my fiancé had the smoked salmon benedict. I can't take good pictures so my photos do not do the dishes justice...but check out how much smoked salmon is in the Benedict and ham in the croque monsieur (shock face emoji). My fiancé instantly knew what he was going to order when he saw the amazing benedicts plate on another patrons table. I could barely finish half my dish and took it to-go to eat for dinner. Looking to walk off your huge meal? We went on an easy hike afterwards located just behind/west of the half moon bay airport called the Pillar Point Bluff Trail, 1.7 mile trail.
google avatar

Gary Y.

Yelp
Burger is pretty good here - but the best feature is the back patio (or worst, depending what you prefer). This restaurant has a small airplane runway that's adjacent to it and you can see up close for planes landing and taking off from the patio seating. It'll be loud for sure - so prepare yourself for that. Also dog friendly for the patio seating; great for a sunny and warm afternoon in HMB.

Yelp
Flew in on a Sunday morning around 12 for some brunch. I saw that this place had good reviews so thought I'd give it a go. Ambiance: really cute and modern inside. Smaller menu, had a lot of drinks to offer. Its not full service, so you order at the front first and then pick a table that's open to your liking. Right next on the airport so those for those who fly in, there's parking available for the planes right in front of the restaurant. In door and outdoor bench like seating Food: I had gotten the hue is rancheros and my friend got the breakfast sandwich. We both loved it so much! I was skeptical at first because some reviews said the rancheros was not very flavorful but mine were absolutely amazing! I got an extra side of sour cream because I like extra sauce. I also had the passion fruit lemonade which was to die for and had seeds in it too. The coffee you order will be self serve but they give you tumblers to drink them with which is adorable! Service: was good for being not full service. They brought out food and everyone was very friendly inside Definitely a great place to stop for brunch! Highly Recommended

Yelp
This was a fun stop! Came here with family before heading home. Breakfast / brunch spot with a diner feel. Menu was interesting. My s-i-l's sister ordered the shukshuka. Her husband had a breakfast sandwich, our niece had a waffle and I had a croque monsier (Technically a croque madame, cuz I had them toss an egg on it.) The menu was definitely acclectic, which was cool. Service was good. Another counter service spot. Staff was quick. It was nice watching the planes land and launch. Can't complain. Maybe I'll make my buddy fly us down there for lunch one day.
google avatar

Yelp
A close friend told me to check this spot out, once we arrived it looked underwhelming but once we stepped in it was a different vibe, the service was so welcoming and friendly. We didn't expect it to be small but they have a patio with a view of airplanes taking off, no shade but they might have umbrellas for the tables but I didn't ask. I personally enjoyed the sun. We ordered two chilaquiles one red and the other one green salsa, 2 double "100$ burger"s with egg and avocado, also the pancake with berries on top. For drinks we got an orange juice, watermelon lemonade and a caramel latte. I wasn't a fan of the red chilaquiles, don't let that stop you from ordering that, my ick could be your yum, personally it tasted like ketchup. Everything else was amazinggg! I forgot to even take a picture of my burgers, when they arrived they just looked so good I just started eating, they were so juicy and flavorful. The person who took our order did forget or didn't hear that we ordered a green chilaquiles plate, when I went inside to tell them , I was 1000% willing to pay for it but the man was so kind and gave it to me so I tipped them for what it was worth. When they came out it was so gooood! Just the right amount of sauce, cheese and sour cream, I forgot to take a picture as well, just went in. For desert you could say we ate the pancake it was a little soggy from the berries, so no need for syrup, I personally loved it. We will be coming back again for the burger.
google avatar

Mark F.

Yelp
If you're looking for breakfast or brunch near Half Moon Bay, you really should head to the airport. I can't believe I just typed that sentence, but everything we had at the Pilot Light Cafe was a fresh, lively combination of bright flavors. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict with bacon and avocado, and the blackened rock cod sandwich with a tartar sauce that is much more luscious than it has any right to be. Order the Jet Pilot, pineapple juice with citrus and mint, for a healthy and delicious morning wake up. The airport is so tiny that you watch the planes while you eat. I wish I lived closer to this place. The only disadvantage is that it closes at 2 pm.

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Just so so. Pancakes had a weird taste - or maybe it was the syrup. Either way there was a very strange aftertaste. Eggs were overcooked. Bathrooms - one was out of order. The other was not clean. Overall just okay. Not in a hurry to go back.
google avatar

Shirin B.

Yelp
Great food and service with lots of options for lunch and breakfast. We ate outdoors since HMB has really nice weather in general and it was perfectly pleasant. It wasn't super crowded and we got our food pretty quickly. I ordered the Bella burger and needless to say it was delicious. The fries here are also super crispy and hot, and seasoned well. The fried chicken sandwich was also pretty good, and the huevos rancheros had freshly cut avocado on it, also really delicious. As a sweet ending we got a Dutch baby pancake which was not too sweet and decorated with fresh berries and cream, highly recommend. They have tons of high quality food options here but the only thing I would knock them on is their drinks. Pretty low quality coffee since it tasted kind of burnt and the OJ was also just alright. I'd come back in a heartbeat for their burgers and fries again.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Great place to watch planes, grab lunch or brunch and just enjoy the atmosphere. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating faces the runway, so you can watch little planes land and take off. You order at the counter here. I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy. Almost no seating---grabbed the shakshuka along with the garlic fries, while my friend had a patty melt. Food was delicious and they give you little buzzers so you know when it's ready. Price was reasonable--definitely recommend stopping in!
google avatar

Beth B.

Yelp
Doesn't even deserve one star. Crappy, cold, overcooked food. Undrinkable coffee. Self-serve diner. I had two eggs scrambled (can you say sawdust?), bacon (like leather), hashbrowns (burnt), sourdough toast (inedible) and a latte (which required a large dose of 1/2 & 1/2 to make it palatable). My husband had the huevos rancheros and he is paying for it tonight. Cost: $50 McDonald's sausage, egg and cheese biscuit seems five star next to this. Stay away.

Karen R.

Yelp
The food, the service and the atmosphere were wonderful! This is one of our favorite little day trip stops on our way to San Francisco.
google avatar

James M.

Yelp
Located at Half Moon Bay Airport, the Pilot Light cafe may be an aviator's dream but unfortunately the same can't be said for the epicure. They offer serviceable fare, but none of the dishes are really built to impress. They squarely hit that middle of the road dining experience where no one really complains, but you would also be hard pressed to find any rave reviews. The real problem arises when you look at the prices, as across the board they are charging significantly more than you would find elsewhere with equivalent quality. You can expect to pay $17 for a relatively small breakfast burrito and $16 for a single waffle. Pilots joke about the "$100 burger", but if you choose to dine at the Pilot Light after your flight you might just find that the C-note in your pocket won't quite get the job done anymore...

Maurice L.

Yelp
Loved the Dutch baby, especially the options for sweet or savory. Bacon didn't disappoint, Smokey in flavor. Seasonal apple cider provided a "homey" touch. Kudos to The manager (maybe proprietor) for understanding and delivering customer service (accommodating and nice). Would have earned 5 stars if not for the relatively high prices.
google avatar

Myoung K.

Yelp
The food was great! I loved the shashuka and my husband loved the Benedict. It was nice to be able to eat outside with the dogs after a nice hike.

Mukta D.

Yelp
We made a breakfast bite stop on the way to Half Moon Bay 51st pumpkin and art festival. We craved both festival food and pancake :) Pilot flight is situated across a pumpkin farm, with plenty of parking. Ambiance inside is chic and as you probably expect from the name, it's situated at the Half Moon Bay airport and you can see the runway - planes take off and land as you eat. We ordered a Dutch baby pancake. The person at the counter was friendly. We couldn't help but notice that it was a $20 pancake. Pricey!! We waited about 15-20 mins for it to be served. The pancake was absolutely gorgeous and delicious. It had a good texture, the flavor was not just all bread. It had a egg custard flavor but not overwhelmingly so. We will definitely visit again!

Steve B.

Yelp
We've been 3-4 times, and although the food is good, the folks behind the counter don't really care you're there. 1. Food: good. I don't think we've had a dish that wasn't tasty. Good menu selections, as well. 2. Location/ambiance: definitely more mellow on the eyes than 3-Zero, and they keep it clean. 3. Staff: main reason for the score. The first person you interact with often sets the vibe for the meal, and the guy at the counter is never happy. I'm not sure he's ever said hello. Definitely never cracked a smile. We were talking about on our way in, i.e., wondering how it would go...perfect batting average. This trip, i think the only employee who made eye contact and smiled was the woman who brought the food. This was going to be two stars, but that felt harsh given this can be fixed with a little training and/or different decisions for front of house.

Kim N.

Yelp
We popped in here for a chance at something fun and New and they didn't disappoint! The food, service and airplane show was amazing. They even brought out a dutch baby surprise for our loved ones 60th bday without asking... high regards

Yelp
We got smash burgers. It was good. Nice lil place. Nice people working there. Not a big place but can accommodate small groups and they have outdoor sitting

Yelp
This is a cute breakfast/lunch spot in Half Moon Bay that's right by the airport (thus the name). They serve the usual American breakfast and lunch items, like burgers and waffles. But they also have a few European offerings, like Dutch Baby pancake (German) and Croque Monsieur (French). The outdoor seating area consists of picnic tables, and there's indoor seating as well. You order at a counter and then you're given a beeper that goes off when your order is ready for you to pick up. Everything is self serve, from the coffee, to finding your own table. The place is very casual and has a chill vibe. What we ordered: + Dutch baby pancake - the pancake itself has a fluffy outer rim but is flat in the center. It has an eggy taste. It comes smothered in berries, cream, and jam. Definitely more like a dessert. Not my cup of tea for breakfast, but hubby liked it. + Classic Combination Breakfast - this is your basic 2 eggs, meat (sausage in my case), potato, and toast breakfast. I enjoyed this, especially the potatoes, which were fried cubes that reminded me of tater tots. Overall, a very enjoyable breakfast, but nothing so special that I feel I must come back. A good choice if you're in the neighbor.

Yelp
Had been really looking forward to coming out here. Unfortunately, the food fell a bit short. Romaine lettuce was fresh. Weirdly, they put red chili flakes in the tuna on the Niçoise salad. Not really any mayo, just the chili flakes, as far as I could tell. The rest of salad was unmemorable. Drip coffee was not great. Service was fine. If it weren't so windy, we would have sat outside on the big yellow picnic benches. But a good option for the locals.

Yelp
Another fun, tasty option in Half Moon Bay! Initially I thought we were eating at an airport cafe, yikes! But I'd say it happens to be adjacent to a small airport (hence the name!) but much better tasting than airport food fare! Here's what we ordered: - $100 cheeseburger that is fortunately much more affordable at $17. Pretty good, came with crispy fries. - Shakshuka was really delicious with plenty of veggies. Would be nice to have more bread though. But the eggs and sauce were great - avocado toast was pretty average and disappointing for the high cost - salad is pretty standard - tested fine, but nothing to go out of the way for - The Dutch baby was freshly made with great balance of fruit and whipped cream, and was probably the best item. Super cute backside patio with umbrellas to manage the sunny days. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Lots of parking as well. Easy freeway access.

Yelp
Came by on a Sunday around 11:30 with the grandparents and kids. LOVED it - great place to bring guests and kids! + daily special: green chilaquiles. Chips had the perfect amount of crunch, generous 3 eggs on top (perfectly over easy), tasty tangy tomatillo sauce, half of an avocado too. + $100 burger: kid opted for it with avocado and grandpa got it with mushrooms. Both inhaled their burgers. Came with fries (well seasoned and hot) + kid pancakes: 2 pancakes with a generous ramekin of butter and a syrup pitcher. Pancakes tasted a bit like sourdough so much less sweet than typical pancakes. I'm assuming it's the same base as the savory pancakes but without the savory mix-ins. Kid liked them fine. Extra syrup helps if you prefer a sweeter pancake + avocado toast: grandma loved this. We requested no cheese. Generous amount of veg on top and the red pickled onions and a balsamic drizzle added the perfect amount of tang to the rich avocado spread. +garlic fries: generous amount, hot and well seasoned, tossed with plenty of chopped garlic and sprinkled with some salty parm There's a huge outdoor seating area. Saw a kid riding a rocking horse - but it was a plane! Right next to the tarmac where you constantly see planes landing or refueling. Kids loved the up close action, grandparents marveled at the view. Such a fun weekend spot on a sunny day!

Yelp
Great service and amazing food at the same place are hard to come by these days. But Pilot Light does it all and so well. Every single staff member is SO SO SO NICE. They were not only nice to my husband and I but also our kids. The food was excellent. We ordered way too much, and took some food to go and it all kept and we ate it later in the day. We ordered fruit, a side of bacon, the Dutch baby, blackened cod sandwich, vanilla latte, and a side of waffle. 12/10 on all the items. The service made everything that much better. The man who took our order was literally SO NICE. Checked in on us multiple times as well. If you are in the area, definitely come check it out. The inside is cute and clean as well. Also fun fact, this is run and owned by the owners of all spice, which we have been to twice and it's also amazzzinnng. Will be back here for sure!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Yelp
3.5 star Flew in for a quick lunch. It's just outside the airport apron. The menu is fairly simple and not expensive. I ordered the Reuben and my friend got the 3 egg scramble. The food came out pretty quickly. The Reuben was OK, I wished there was more pastrami and less sauerkraut, but the size was large and the side salad was very interesting (sour and savory) Overall, nice spot to stop for brunch.

Yelp
Cute cafe at the local airport. We enjoyed the food and kiddo enjoyed watching planes take off and land. Help yourself to water and coffee at the self-serve counter. Dutch baby and chilaquiles were very good! One star off as it was nearly $100 for 3 of us at breakfast.
