"Pilot is the rooftop restaurant at Downtown LA’s Hoxton Hotel. They’ve got an open-air dining room that opens at noon with a snack menu featuring dishes like chicory salad, fried artichoke hearts, and baked ziti. On Friday and Saturdays, they’re open until 11pm. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"Even in a year like this, Downtown’s rooftop game continues to expand with the latest addition being Pilot on top of The Hoxton. It’s no secret that many hotel restaurants start to look (and taste) the same after a while, but Pilot stands out for their expansive skyline views, excellent house cocktails, and a solid Mediterranean menu that features everything from black truffle mafaldi to Spanish paella for two." - Brant Cox

"Pilot at the Hoxton Hotel offers a three-tiered experience for loungers and poolside hangers-on; for barflies and after-work drinkers; and for dinnertime diners looking to gobble up the views. The primary dining room features a pull-back roof, nearly uninterrupted views of the city, big windows, lots of greenery, and a roaming bar cart for cocktail service. There’s an open kitchen for live-fire cooking, marble tabletops with brass accents, and lush, pastel decor. The outdoor area includes the hotel's deep greens, wood, sunlight, and pool for all-day service with wine, cocktails, and snackable daytime options like eggplant dips. The sit-down portion of Pilot works dinner service only." - Farley Elliott

Exceptional food! The service was nice. The staff was really laid back and you can tell they were having a good time. I had the steak and I inhaled it! I couldn’t stop eating it! It was so good. My wife doesn’t like beef and she loved it too! The lamb my buddy had was tender and flavorful with a cucumber sauce that was awesome. The desserts were awesome! You can tell the ice cream was made in house! One cocktail was enough to go with the entire meal. Check it out! Great view of the city too! P drinks!

We were sat immediately on time for our reservation. The view was nice as well. Now, the staff were nice enough, but we were given different information by the host and waitresses that assisted us regarding the food menu. This caused confusion and they end up accidentally canceling some of the orders we put in and it took FOREVER to get our food. We started seeing people that came after us getting their food, and it was soo frustrating. The food was actually good. However , the food menu did not have many options. And I definitely feel it was overpriced. The pizza was 20$ and the ingredients were basic. Eggs.. bacon.. dough.. avocado.

Ambiance is one word that sums up Pilot. Need a rooftop with a great view, but not so fancy, you can’t wear a t-shirt for some drinks, this is the spot! I’ve had brunch and dinner here, love it for both occasions. The menu isn’t anything special but they do have some tantalizing options. The menu changes often and honestly the dish I would like to see again is their egg & chorizo breakfast pizza with this insanely fluffy pancake. But most of their plates are chef creations that won’t disappoint. Bartenders are prestigious and deliver potent concoctions that range from martinis to wine, whatever you’re style, they have a full bar. Forgot to mention if you want to give it the real LA feel, you can have your drinks by the poolside and talk the night away. If you can call to reserve and you won’t have to worry about a long wait on weekends, now that life is getting back to normal!

First off this place has amazing food, the view is spectacular, and the service is great! The cocktails are wonderful and put together very well! Me and the husband had an amazing time. Definitely worth the visit. Make sure you book reservation so you can ensure a good seat.

Cute rooftop bar and restaurant in the Hoxton Hotel. You can make reservations online and need to specify if you’re eating at the bar (there’s a smaller bar menu + drinks) or restaurant (more robust dinner menu). Metered street parking is available and you can probably find free parking if you go for dinner on a weeknight. The spot is a good place for a date or for a small group to catch up. We had five in our party and were seated in one of the couches. There’s a nice view of the DTLA skyline and there are overhead heaters available, though we had to ask multiple people to turn ours on. Since we opted for the bar menu, the food choices were more limited but there’s enough options for people to share. Food portions are small and the options are pricey, but you gotta pay for the view! The pizzas are nice and fluffy; they are essentially individual sized so order one per person. I preferred the pepperoni over the margherita, but note the pepperoni does have honey. Definitely get the fries - they had thin and crispy and we ended up ordering another plate because we liked them so much. The calamari was lightly crispy and had a nice flavoring. In terms of drinks, the honey bear is light and makes for a nice ‘gram photo. Credit cards are accepted. Bathrooms are available to the left if the elevator. You don’t order food with a waiter, but can do so via your phone. You can pay through your phone too. Overall, it’s a good spot to hang in DTLA - I’ll have to come here for brunch sometime.

This place is awesome! A rooftop bar on top of a hotel in the middle of Los Angeles. They view is amazing especially at night. Great spot to take a date and have a few cocktails. The food is also really good. Recommend you make reservations and take a date!

I loved this place and wish I could come every week! They have two areas for dining/seating at the rooftop. One is indoor and that has a full menu of entrees. The other is outside and has a limited menu mostly comprised of appetizers/small plates. I definitely recommend making reservations as it can fill up quite quickly on Friday and weekend evenings. My fav dish was the the calamari and the ziti and I highly recommend these two. I also recommend getting the frozen margarita because not only does it look really cute, but it is very tasty.

Place is ofcourse really nice, roof top..see DTLA. Very casual, relaxing place with music in the background. Food is prepared really nice(I have to say overpriced) but expenses come with the scenery, positive vibes, and good customer service. Online menu, which you pay before hand, and now you don't have to wait 10 min to get the bill etc . Menu depends on the day, they have a breakfast/lunch/dinner. . Really loved the hummus, the pita bread is perhaps the best I ever tried. . I recommend it, would comeback again and again
