"When Ticos are in the mood for some carnita asada they head out to street grills for pinchos (meat skewers). Looking to create a family-friendly atmosphere, Francisco López opened his first pinchos location in 2019 and quickly grown the roasted-skewers franchise to five branches. Inside, massive steel hoods trap the smoke, while the brand’s logo, a smiling pig in a chef’s outfit, looks on.
