"The owners of Pine & Polk are bringing Bay Area energy to Soho with a San Francisco-inspired retail space and cocktail bar that they describe as "provisions-focused." We assume that’s Oregon Trail language for “artisanal general goods store.” The cocktail bar, opening sometime in April, will also be serving food.

"Pine and Polk, a small shop with a concealed 40-seat cocktail bar, has closed. Owner Lindsay Weiss confirmed the closure, which was announced on Instagram last week. 'It’s been a special time, but it’s our moment to grow the business outside of these walls,' she wrote. Weiss and Alyssa Golub opened the business in May 2022 to highlight women- and minority-owned retailers. The bar in the back opened at a time when speakeasy-style bars were showing up across the city." - Luke Fortney

A speakeasy well worth visiting. Cocktails are well crafted and have a good program. I always thought that it was bigger for a speakeasy venue and for a good reason. I have had almost all the libations. Exit from Book Shop, Labyrinth at Lands, Smell of Book Shop and Minus 3 are my favorites

This speakeasy is so lovely! The cocktails are extraordinarily creative and delicious and the food was an unexpected bonus! The shop in front has great, locally sourced products.

Speakeasy behind an Artisinal Grocery store ✨️
Checked out the brand new
artisan provisions shop Pine and Polk with a speakeasy bar/ lounge behind a wall of chocolate called Pacific Standard.
This is an awesome female owned spot in Hudson Square rockin West Coast vibes. The grocery store primarily carries female owned and or minority owned products.
The grocery store is awesome with rare treats you may not find elsewhere. They also carry freshly made sandos and to.go treats in the store.
The speakeasy is called Pacific Standard..its a cool.bar lounge with great cocktails. We just had couple of drinks and bought some stuff at the grocery store.
The menu looks great and look forward to going back soon.

Cute little shop selling organic/whole foods perfect for charcuterie boards, nibbles and gifts.
We actually went for the speakeasy bar, however it was closed during the day. The shopkeeper Jenise was so so lovely and let us sit in the bar despite the bar being closed. This was our only chance to go to the bar as we had a flight out of nyc that night. The interior of the bar was lovely and the bathrooms were well kept too.

Pretty good cocktails, but the snacks offered are offensive to say the least (stale, hard like rock pretzels and 5$ popcorn in 4oz ramekin). Bar has speakeasy vibes by entering through a "grocery" store space, but the window and second door at the bar are not covered, so you can see into the space from the street. I was disappointed about the experience.

We had an amazing experience at opening night of the speakeasy bar hiding behind the chocolate! The drinks were unique with thoughtful details and flavor profiles. Literally can't go wrong with any of them. The cheese board and the dessert board were incredible and we loved that items could be purchased out front. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to NYC!

Gorgeous space and fantastic cocktails.
We walked in without a reservation and the host was incredibly accommodating and made space for us relatively quickly.
I intended to try a few drinks on the menu but the 'How Now Brown Cow' was so good, I had two. Very excited to go back and try other cocktails.

So many better cocktail bars & experiences in NYC. Would skip this spot
The space was very modern and lighting was too bright for a pleasant speakeasy vibe. The environment felt artificial and lacked character. The music was particularly untasteful, think top 40s of 2005.
The service was a little slow and lacked gracefulness. Favorite thing about this place was their glassware

Yelp
Such a cute speakeasy behind a health and wellness shop. The service was excellent, everyone is so informative, kind and attentive. I came across this place from social media and we wanted to stop by and check it out since we live around the area. We also appreciate the nod to Casablanca when having a look at the menu. We obviously had to order that drink as well. I enjoyed my martini and jewel box. I personally LOVE pickled veggies. I appreciate how the cute little veggies in the jewel box are pickled and love how they sprinkled salt in the bottom drawer of it on top of the seaweed paper. It was a viper cute touch. The ambience is great. Great for friends, dates, gatherings. We plan to come back!

Yelp
My friends and I stopped in for drinks around 10PM on a Saturday without a reservation and got seated almost immediately. There were really only 3 other groups in the entire bar with us but the vibe and decoration were immaculate. The drinks were really fun and the playlist was fantastic! I tried a lot of my friends drinks and they weren't my cup of tea (literally) but I enjoyed my champagne cocktail. The drinks all have varying abv levels which they don't put on the menu and I only found out that one of them was a low abv from the receipt which I feel like should be mentioned on the menu. Also my friend said she could only taste mezcal and no corn in her drink. I'd definitely come back for the atmosphere!

Yelp
A speakeasy I came to a while ago. Love the concept of a small shop in front. The bar is glitzier than I expected. Ok experience overall - the drinks were $$$ but not super good and the bar felt a bit loud/less intimate. I think The Little Shop speakeasy in Seaport is similar concept but better vibes + drinks.

Yelp
This is a review for June 23, 2023. This is a speakeasy but not a speakeasy because you can literally see into it. You go inside a little store and then go into a bar which you can see from outside, which is kinda corny. The vibe was cool drinks were moderately priced for Manhattan. They serve food but I didn't order any. I had a dry cider which was tasty. The bartender was professional but slow it was not a lot of people on there. Would I come back again maybe idk.
