I've only been here once so far. I see a lot of very mixed reviews so I thought I'd start with that disclaimer in case we came on a good day. You never know. The dining room looks like it has been recently painted and it was very clean on a Saturday evening. For Chinese quick food in a former fast food joint, this place was less of a dive than I expected.
Just stopped in for a quick dinner and liked it very much. My husband loved the option of eggplant tofu and even though the portion wasn't huge, he thought the entree was quite nicely done and fairly priced. We shared crab rangoon, an order of four for the price many competitors charge for six, but they were larger so it was a wash. Good flavor, and more on the sweet side than savory.
My hot and sour soup was a nice-sized bowl and I was completely satisfied by it. But, I've gotta say it was odd. More like egg drop soup that someone added a few veggies and more spice to make it into hot and sour soup. Nothing like the hot and sour soup I've ordered at other Chinese restaurants which is much spicier, meatier, and made with darker broth...this really looked like egg drop soup, yellow color and tons of egg, but the flavor did have more of the hot and sour edge to it, assuring me that the order taker didn't misunderstand my preference. While the soup was good, it wasn't typical.
