I normally don't do bars but came here to meet with a friend who was feeling down. I will say that Angela, the owner, was courteous and seemed quite capable of handling everything. The chicken wings and coffee I ordered was good and my friend enjoyed his sandwich and soda. The bar was clean and Angela even gave us a large bowl of popcorn to munch on which was yummy! Thank you for the nice experience! 🙂

Staff at Pineapple is always the best. Feels super homey plus they have delish food, trivia tycoon on Tuesdays and a cute patio. Perfect vibe for day drinks and best of both worlds with cozy dive bar on the inside!!! Lowkey feels like Cheers. Been going for years, highly recommend.

Went here yesterday and honestly had such a good time. The vibe was on point, the music was great, and the staff was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Drinks were well made and came out quick, which I always appreciate. It felt like the perfect spot to relax, have fun, and actually enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to friends. 🍸✨

Fun vibe, a combo of neighborhood bar, old school dive, and interesting hangout. Great staff, good grub, and some outstanding drinks- try the "Taesty" Old Fashioned for a great twist on a classic, it's top tier. DJ, dancing, some other event nights, outdoor area in back; it's everything you could ask for in a good location. Solid spot to begin or end an evening.

I love the atmosphere! The drinks — and especially the food — are delicious. The portions are actually satisfying, which is rare for a bar restaurant. Most places serve small portions, but Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill does not disappoint. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and talented. Best bar ever! People are incredibly nice and friendly and very down-to-earth here. This is a place “where everyone knows your name”. The bartender calls you by your first name (even though I was new to Pineapple Hill). The service, the food, the ambience, and the energy… is the reason I’d be back again and again!

Stopped by pretty late and wasn’t sure how it would go, but the bartender and everyone there were super chill. Drinks are reasonably priced and we ended up staying until closing. Really cool spot in Sherman Oaks.

This place is located in a strip mall with large free parking lot behind it that you can enter from Milbank St. You'll see there outdoor patio even before you turn into the lot. Google Maps gives you the wrong location - it shows it's next to In-N-Out but it's on the corner of Milbank St & Sylmar Ave. It's a bit dark inside with lots of small tv's all over their walls. For some reason, they had on a Dodgers game that was played during the day (it was 10pm) and some other random sports on. I don't know what it is with these dive bars but they had X'mas decorations on the mantel of their non-working fireplace in the middle of July. I did appreciate they didn't have the music cranked, I could actually have a conversation without having to yell over the music or crowd. Drinks were okay. Generous amount since their glasses are big - I ordered a Cosmo & it wasn't in one of those small martini glasses, more like a margarita glass. There were 2 bartenders, sometimes 3 but the wait to be served could have been better. They did have a good food menu. I didn't order anything but everything they brought out smelled REALLY good! Their outdoor patio is quite large, they had put up dividers so one side had a birthday party, the other side another party. This is a good place to have a get-together with a large groups of friends in the outdoor patio. It's convenient & affordable. One thing that did bother me, 2 young girls under the age of 10 came in to sell chocolate(?) for their fundraiser. This was 11pm and how they got in to go tabel to table without security guard stepping in?! I had to flag security to take girls out! Where are their parents?! On nights where there are birthday parties/events, I think they did 2 security guards, 1 in the back & 1 in the front.

We ordered a to go order- we had some burgers and salads. They were okay. We had one kona- one maui and one outlaw The outlaw was missing the bbq that says smothered in bbq- no sauce in sight. The maui was good but the side sauce was not the best. They put the pickels on top of the fries which in turn made the fries soggy and cold. Probably wont order again

Need a great, exciting place to watch your Minnesota Vikings???? This is it! My family came to town and demanded we bring them here and they just loved it- although we missed the drum and horn- the service and drinks are good!

My favorite place for a quiet, tasty brunch! Service is fast and attentive (without hovering over you), the prices are on par with the neighborhood (and you do get what you pay for). Quality food, nicely seasoned and presented, and yes, they have good drinks. It would probably be a nice breakfast place, too, but I'm at work too early to visit during the week. Quiet enough to be able to actually chat with your date, too. Interior is cute -- this could be the local equivalent of a 'Cheers' bar, because the wait staff remembered us the second time we'd visited, and remembered our names the third time on. Recommended!

I'm appalled and so glad at the same time. Since my last visit I've called the city to check on this establishment. Obviously they're not a fan of following health codes. And maybe the bartender Chris can take a class on how to properly was glassware.

I accidentally left without paying for a drink (I'm here like everyday tho?) took a picture of the entire back of my card and sent it in there employee group chat alongside my old Facebook photo to let everyone know as if this is some routine thing, and now today 7-31-25 I'm sitting here charging my phone and the owner comes to ask if I'm gonna buy a drink or Something cuz "they have a big party right now and she needs to make sure everyone is where they're supposed to be" that doesn't even make sense. Last time spending money here.

Provender: this is a great dive to grab some drinks or get a bite to eat. They offer a wide variety of appetizers and dishes. Drinks are made well. Prices: cocktails are around $16 and burgers are around $22. Parking: ample, it's located at the end of a strip mall. People: adults only. Perks: they have stools if you want to sit at the bar, booths and lounge areas, and tables for two with plenty of TVs. Great and friendly staff. Happy hour is 3-7pm Monday through Friday, and 11-2am Thursday through Sunday.

The bartenders and servers and management and the patrons are all very friendly and hospitable here, and they make this place the-place-to-be! Like "Cheers", this is the bar you go to, "where everyone knows your name". Friendly, fast service, yummy food, great energy... And even though it was my first time here, the bartender who served me (Kate) called me by my first name! Nicest people here. If I lived in the neighborhood, this would be my hangout for sure! I'd 1000 percent come back again and again. It's my dear friend's favorite place... and I now know why that is. Best service and people here! They played the best music, too! This is a fun and relaxing place to be where everyone is enjoying themselves, having good conversations and laughing (and dancing, too).... and if you just want to be around happy people, this is the place to be. You're going to smile when you walk in.... I'd return in a heart beat! Best saloon ever...

I came here with a group of ladies. It's a decent spot to come hang out, grab a drink, and watch a game. I ordered off the menu and they didn't have the ingredients for a drink I tried to order, but the bartender was able to make something similar. I ordered a quesadilla and I don't know why, but there were slices of tomato inside of the quesadilla. I ended up picking them out. Lol Before this visit, I had no idea this dive bar existed. It's hidden behind the In n Out. There's plenty of parking in the front and the back of the bar. And it's FREE.

I been coming to Piña for more than 15 years, very good friend of mine jason use to work here , and all the old bartenders were amazing , this is the worst service I got, I wanted to show my son which is 23yrs old now , I wanted to show him my local bar, where me and his dad go to enjoy a nice date nite, food was amazing I have no complaints about that, they always have the best steak Sandwich, we use to come here at least one's a week, but now it's like the new hires don't care to acknowledge you If you are not one of their friends, it took me 20 Min to get my check I had to walk up to them, and even after I got my check they took their time to charge me, bad experience probably won't be back, I use to always say Piña was my fav local bar. With this service who wants to come and sit at a bar where they can't serve you.

We had to move tables twice because they were sticky. Very unsanitary environment. Host was nice.

Let's get the less than great out of the way quickly - it's pricey here. Okay, that's done. This is one of the few places left where you can get a chicken salad sandwich and they do a very good chicken salad sandwich I must say and have said in case you weren't paying attention. I'll probably try some other stuff or maybe even go there - it's two blocks from me. Anyway, if you like chicken salad sandwiches (and if you don't, I don't want to know you), I think you'll enjoy this place. I've had it twice now.

Your local neighborhood bar that sits in the back of the in-n-out parking lot. Plenty of parking right in front. Happy hour runs until 7 and has both food and drinks. Tried the tuna quesadilla last time, which was surprisingly really good. This time I tried the hill sliders, which were too bbq-ey for my taste and the blue cheese fries, which were too blue cheese-ey for my taste, so that's just my bad ordering skills probably. This is the second Lakers finals game I've come here for and seeing as my friend and I were the loudest ones there, it's definitely not a rowdy spot. Perfect for those looking for a chiller sports game-watching experience. For a place that's relatively small, there's sooo many TVs to choose from! The bartenders can get busy a lot with what seems to be catching up with frequent patrons, but they make their best effort to kindly acknowledge you and take your order as soon as they can. A real hometown-feel bar! Oh, and when you smell buttery popcorn in the air, that means a fresh batch of their complimentary popcorn is popping in the maker in back. Grab some!!! And shoutout to bartender Ben for shouting my name in the middle of the lot when I forgot my credit card inside, and then hanging onto it for me when I didn't hear said yell. You're the real MVP!!!

Great food with great options for vegetarians as well. The service was fast and good. I also really liked the ambiance of the outside seating patio area, the inside was really cool as well with a vintage bar style. Thank you, great meeting Angela.

If you want to spend $29 for the French Dip Sandwich plus a Soda, Boy have they got a deal for you. Service was also very slow and pretty low effort. 1 and Donesies.

Came in on Thanksgiving. Had amazing service from Bryan who made a great specialty cocktail that they should do every day. The pumpkin pie martini was delicious

Took my neighbor out for a birthday burger! Delightful experience. She loved her burger and the onion rings were some of the best I have had in a while! The Ruben was delicious, the meat melted like butter and the tater tots were crispy just like I like them. They have lots of activities on their calendar so take a look before headed over it may be busy with trivia!

Spot for locals if you wanna hang with your crew or maybe don't wanna be seen. Lol. A definitely place for people to rendezvous and want some privacy. I actually met someone for a lunch date not realizing how tucked away and secretive this place was. The decor is definitely retro and from the 70's and 80's. Music playlist was 80's music which I was digging. Brian, the bartender/server was really great. He recommended the Kona burger which I ordered. (No pic, since I was on a lunch date) The Kona burger was 100% Angus beef, cheese, sautéed onions and bacon with special sauce on a toasted brioche bun. It was delicious and perfectly cooked at medium. This spot has boozy brunch, karaoke and trivia and I may come back with my friends who like to cut loose. it's worth checking out the Pineapple Saloon.

Decent food and free popcorn is nice. Unfortunately they refused to accept a $50 gift card that we purchased through a school fundraiser. They said they had changed ownership or something. We purchased the gift card pre-Covid and tried using it three years later and were shut down. No attempt to make it right whatsoever. Just a clean nope. Never would have gone if not for the gift card and certainly not going now.

Excellent parking, beyond amazing service, and prices are fair and food is very good! Plus free popcorn. Looking for a chill spot, lots of seats and TVs to watch a game, def go here!

Nice casual spot to enjoy a good sandwich, drinks, and nice conversation with friends. I like the vibe and the whole environment: quite laid back and low-key. Our server, who's name I can't remember, was nice and friendly too. (He was wearing a cool breaking bad shirt... if that narrows it down) many thanks to that server for the quick and friendly service! I will be back.

A bar that could use some staff training. The bar is good but very very dark. There is only 1 way to order anything - gotta get up go into the bars and wait forever in a single file line. The food is ok. We ordered potato skins and they were potato wedges had a layer of bacon bits and cheese on top. The bacon bits really brought the dish down. The drinks were good but the service is really lacking. The outside area is the best place to sit. With just a little organization this place could be much better and more enjoyable.

How have I not rated pineapple Hill yet?!?! This place is absolutely awesome. The food is good, the staff is friendly, and it has a great environment. I particularly like their Reuben sandwich, but all of the food that I've had here has been great. We typically come here to watch football games and again, the atmosphere is awesome. Oh, just so you know it is a Vikings bar. So skol Vikings. There's also an awesome outdoor seating area just north of the bar, that they put up during COVID. Which is the last thing that I want to say about this place, huge kudos to them for standing up for themselves and other small businesses during the pandemic, and making sure that people were able to go out safely and enjoy time out during a period of incredible isolation. I understand that they were helping their business, and good for them, but it was also good for people who are looking for a place to connect at a very difficult trying time. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon for basketball playoffs in April 2022 (go Lakers!) In short, good drinks, tasty food, and chill vibes. The mini is diverse and has something for all taste buds. Great size tv and tv's all around for sport watching, and they even have an old school popcorn (complimentary) maker in the back. Definitely coming back next time I'm in the SF Valley area!

Pinapple Hill's Denver omletett is tasty and filling. We usually stop in at night for dinner and drinks, and today, we had a noon brunch. Surprisingly, the place had a good crowd on a Tuesday watching soccer on the many large TV sets. There was only one bartender server who handled the lunchtime rush with ease and an enjoyable personality. I like the old, dark-pub and wood paneled look sitting at the bar view. On Tuesdays nights, the trivia games in the outside large patio/parking lot venue draws a fun, boisterous, and intelligent set of teams competing for sometimes silly categories that only an Einstein would know the answers to. Pinapple Hill has become a regular location for me.

FOOD IS AMAZING. SERVICE IS AMAZING. I found this place on a whim and I only come here on the weekends now to see SHANE! He is the best bartender around and makes the best drinks with an amazing personality that everyone loves. if you need a spot to drink on the weekends come see him!!!!

Used to work in the plaza across the street so my friends and I were regulars. Food was overpriced for bar food long before the pandemic and minimal wage increase but it was convenient. Since the pandemic, owner has become more about politics and less and less about quality food and service. The hypocrisy of it is that I know for a fact she was hiring my students who were not legal to work in the US and paying them under the table . I was served by one of said the students on many occasions .

I went with a group of 50 for an after-hike happy hour on a Saturday afternoon. This place was a good find to handle a big crowd, thanks to an outdoor patio. The bar itself felt old school nostalgic and the wait staff was super friendly. They have an inviting food menu, with burgers, salads, some vegan fare, and sandwiches. I couldn't resist the blue cheese and garlic fries, which were decadent. They have plenty of quality beers on tap and respectful supply of spirits. A fun place to check out.

Pineapple Hill is not only a great spot for drinks and a solid happy hour (Monday thru Friday until 7p), but also for good eats and plenty of room to spread out, both in and outside. The patio in the back has been an amazing addition and it's probably one of my favorites for outdoor enjoyment in LA. A covered sectioned-off area with lots of plant life, lighting, flat screens with sports and channel favs (but almost always sports), plenty of tables and chairs, chalkboard menus as well as barcode scannable(s) or hard copy paper as needed AND great service! The food is pretty vast from Breakfast to Late Night. P.H. S&G does entrees, sandwiches, salads, soups, appetizers, burgers, desserts, or even vegetarian w/ a lot of vegan-friendly options other than their fresh chips and salsa or sweet potato fries with maple syrup dip on the side. The Bristow Beyond Burger can be done without cheese and on a variety of bread including gluten-free and/or bunless/protein style/lettuce wrapped. Whatever your hungry or hangry needs Pineapple Hill Saloon has your back. Open seven days a week, this hidden gem in the not so rough is one you should definitely support as they definitely welcome and support everyone including their fellow businesses in the neighborhood and the Greater Los Angeles area. Gender-neutral restrooms, endless parking, and even entertainment on occasion in the form of live music, sports, giveaways, trivia Tuesdays, sports plus fun events. Delivery, while great and available through third-party apps, can't substitute for the in-person experience. If you haven't stopped in/by you're missing out!

A fantastic place to watch MN Vikings Football. Great food, drinks and tvs. Can't recommend it enough!

The owner is one of the last women in Los Angeles with an ounce of morals and common sense. 3. This is not going unnoticed by the sane people left in this shit hole state. Love the outdoor patio but hate the added speakers with loud music. Asked to turn down the music but apparently they couldn't or wouldn't. The food is usually good but the onion rings were over cooked and the patty melt lukewarm . Must have picked a bad night .

Even if the Pineapple Hill wasn't owned by my hero, it would still be great. The ambience is very "1972 ski lodge" in a good way. Really good in the winter.

The food is extremely over priced. I was expecting it to be much better with the high yelp rating but I was severely disappointed. I know a lot of restaurants are raising their prices because of the new wage increase. The food here definitely doesn't justify the prices now. I can get a better burger with fries at in and out for $10 so I'd rather just eat there.

Ambiance is divey and the entire place reeks of dried urine and spilled beer. I question the cleanliness of the kitchen if the dining area is so dirty

Just walked out sat at the bar for 10 minutes and the two female bartenders ignored me and I'm a female this isn't the first time it's happened I will never give this place another chance.

Surprisingly good food and ambience for this local pub. Only complaint is lack of service or wait staff unless seated AT the bar. Had to go the bar to order and pay. The lady who brought the food was great but we were completely ignored by the only people at the bar to take the order and collect the check. Will find a more hospitable place next time.

Service is fantastic, Tony is amazing. It's kind his funny and he's on top of all of our orders. My advice on the food is stick to the basics. Although they have a full menu, including breakfast, your best to stick to simple, basic bar food. The burger is a bit pricey for what you get but it's decent. In the past I have ordered the chicken sausage omelette - no Chili and cheese omelette - no Waffles - no, no and no (I think they use frozen toaster waffles) Patty melt with their fantastic fries - yes Tater tots with anything - yes yes yes The patio in the back of the restaurant it's really lovely, they've worked hard to create a nice outdoor space.

I visited Pineapple Hill by chance since it was near the freeway. Parking was easy in the large lot, and I was looking forward to a quick dinner before returning home. I entered Pineapple Hill, browsed their menu, and waited for a host(ess). However, I wasn't even noticed even after five minutes had passed. I ended up leaving to eat at the nearby In-N-Out. I later returned and discovered that when entering through the back, they may serve us at the front. The sign was a little confusing to read, and it wasn't very visible since it was blocked by another object near the door. In addition, they didn't check if I was 21+ despite a sign on the wall - probably because they hadn't even noticed me enter.

I had a great time going to the Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill in Sherman Oaks to watch the high stakes Vikings vs Lions football game. The bar is in a strip mall and has free parking. Once I entered inside, a host greeted me and offered me a place to stand near the huge TV screen. Due to the game, every other bar stool had already been taken. The football patrons gave the bar a family-friendly atmosphere. I immediately felt welcome. I decided to find a seat outside. Cutting through the lines of people, I made my way to the back entrance where a tent had been propped above a multitude of benches and additional TVs. The outside patio is very nicely decorated with fresh flowers and shrubs dotting the perimeter. I could imagine coming back for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. As soon as I sat down, my waitress introduced herself. She supplied my table with water until the rest of my friends arrived. We ordered a mixed bucket of Bud Light and Budweiser beer, mozzarella sticks, and Buffalo wings. By this time, the football game had already started, and the outside patio was packed. Even with the large number of patrons, I didn't have to wait too long before our food and drinks were delivered to our table. It all tasted very good. My only complaint is that the food was a tad bit cold. I grabbed a free bucket of popcorn to watch the rest of the game. During one of the breaks, the bar hosted a raffle content. One patron won a Vikings hat and the other won a jersey. Unfortunately, the Vikings ended up losing (9-31), and the bar cleared out. Before I left, I ordered the bar's famous flaming shot. For this drink, they gave me two glasses--a shot glass and a larger glass--full of beer, rum, and amaretto. They instructed me to light the surface of the shot glass, wait for it to cool, and then dump the entire shot glass into the larger glass so that I could chug the entire thing. The drink was smooth and delectable. I'd definitely order the flaming shot again. All in all, while my team lost, my experience for like a total win.

Great bartenders and friendly patrons. Had a Carnal breakfast burrito, which was massive, then drank a few with the locals. The inside of this bar is classic, and takes you back to better days. Wish there were more bars around like this.

Ordered a burger and it had a weird toenail in it. Im pretty sure I asked for toenails to be left out.

Well food was extremely underwhelming..I really wanted to like this place. Made worse by upset stomach. Now sure how they have such great reviews.. Buffalo Wings - weren't that tasty and were undercooked (pink inside)... Definitely should not have eaten them because I got a really bad stomach ache after eating them. Hoping it doesn't turn into full blown salmonella poisoning. French fries - unsalted and over cooked. Taste free. Tator tots - bland and not crispy. Also no salt. Ordered online and I clicked the box for a gluten free bun (which was great that they offered it), but instead received gluten free sandwich bread. The Philly Cheese steak was decent. Beyond burger was requested with sauce on side. They put the sauce on it. Basically unhappy about all of it! Will never eat here again.

Went here taking a break from work. Never been but was just searching what was open with food and wine. Was about 11am, only person there. Blond lady server was so dismissive, seemed annoyed with me I only got club soda and ordered food. Ordered drink later Never served. She was on the phone e the whole time. Again, only person there. Food fine and came out quick. No shade to the kitchen. But when I finally just left, lyft driver said he had the same experience. We are both minorities- brown ppl...what should I make of that.
