"When we did our pastelito tasting, our notes on Pinecrest's versions included praise for its oozing guava, layers, puffiness, flakiness, and glaze. So, pretty much everything. Pinecrest just makes a very balanced pastelito. The only thing holding it back is the flavor of its guava and cheese filling. Neither have flavors that really register when you bite in, but given the amount of Pinecrest locations in Miami, this is a solid choice next time it's your turn to provide the office pastelitos. "Price Per Croqueta: $1.15 There are nearly as many Pinecrest Bakeries in Miami as there are uninsured drivers. But their flagship on US1 in (obviously) Pinecrest is the most reliable one (and we can’t be held liable if you go to another location). If you like a thick and sticky masa, go to this Pinecrest Bakery and get their jamon croquetas de la casa. They’re long, brown, and super crispy. But the inside is pinker than Miss Piggy’s wardrobe—and packed with just as much ham. As busy as this place gets, it’s a very relaxed bakery where you can sit at a table and eat your croquetas in peace under (of all things) a crystal chandelier.   " - virginia otazo

Stop by any location and enjoy a variety of flavors, including savory chorizo, sweet guava, and cream cheese. I am visiting my in-laws in Miami and went here for the first time ever. This is the best bakery I’ve ever been to. Extremely nice staff and very very good food. Hate to leave it honestly.

When in Miami, Cuban food/coffee is a must! Our go-to has always been Pinecrest. Last time we had some was 6 years ago, so had to go all out! Empanadas, croquetas, guava & cheese pastry, and most importantly cafe con leche 😍 Also grabbed some sandwiches for the ride back to Naples.

Google
There's not much to say. Your typical Pinecrest Bakery, with their standard Pinecrest bakery service, accompanied by a couple of deliciously fried empanadas. Once, I asked the young lady her recommendation on the empanadas, specifically between the meat or the chorizo. She finally showed a bit of herself with a smirk and said, "I don't like chorizo." Take that as you may, she smiled and was friendlier. Thank you for being open 24/7. It's a gift to find exactly the kind of late night snack one might have after midnight. Even though it's only 10:47pm. Recommendations; Cafe Con leche. Cheese pastelito. Ham and cheese empanada. Croqueta de Jamon de la Casa!

Google
I asked for a cuban sandwich without butter , mayo and cheese However, the sandwich came full butter mayo, very sloppy, dirty tables, the lack of communication between employees are the worst Employees were focused on their conversations then customers orders

Google
Ordered through UberEats for the 2nd time in 2 days. Every single item has been so delicious. We’re planning to order (at least once more) before heading home. I raved so much about how great everything tasted, I'm now asked to bring a box of sweet goodness back home to the others that have been missing out on the goodness of Miami.

Google
My wife and I stopped by to have breakfast after taking our dogs to the Pinecrest Veterinary Hospital next door ! The breakfast was delicious and we also took home food for lunch! The employees were very professional and courteous!

Google
The service provided in the Pinecrest location is always excellent specifically the afternoon shift. The personnel in the afternoon are very attentive and make everyone feel welcomed. The food, coffee, and pastries are always fresh and tasty. I definitely recommend this bakery.

Google
The highlight is the kind service of your servers. However, I had to wait long to be served a small coffee, when there was only one server and there was only a troublesome female client asking for additional items for her food. Despite of this, the fact that you offer free WiFi makes my visits very pleasant. I tried your "bocaditos" before, in particular your empanadas but they were terrible and expensive. Sometimes my Cuban friends are too noisy and annoying...Ha!

Yelp
I am not going to lie, ALL their products are amazingly good. Pastries are the best. BUT with exception of the coral gables store that has good customers service, the customer service at almost all their stores is TERRIBLE, BAD, UNACCEPTABLE, Specially the ladies. Ladies we are not getting the product for free, we are paying. And it's not at an specific store, is in almost all of them because since I am all over Miami, I have pass by almost all of them and is disappointment over disappointment.

AJ R.

Yelp
This place used to be great. Always clean, friendly staff. Delicious food with large portions. I don't know if they changed administration in the last three months but every single time I've been there lately the tables have been dirty and I have had to wait a long time for my order to come through. Last time all the costumers that came after me were served before me. Food portions are definitely smaller now as well. Maybe they just need to retrain their staff? I won't be coming back for another few months because it's just not worth it, there are other faster options around.

Adam C.

Yelp
Do you like their croquetas? If you do, just google Catalina Croquettes, and order yourself a box of 100 for....$11. That's right, the bakery that publicizes their croquetas uses frozen mass produced, bottom of the barrel product. When I saw the freezer door in the back open, and there were dozens of boxes, my heart sank. We are being lied to.

Randall R.

Yelp
Voy a Versailles donde no tengo que pagar ante de mis orden y no suben lo precios cada 3 meses por un sándwich que no vale. Servicio es

Anais T.

Yelp
Love the food and service behind the counter. Only complaint, employee aggressively cleaning when you're sitting down to eat. Literally had my shoe mopped while eating my food. She almost tripped various customers in my presence and picked up on no cues. Not to mention that cleaning while people are eating isn't appropriate.

Tanner W.

Yelp
I have always loved coming here for a quick trip for all kinds of Cuban coffee! Everytime friends visit we bring them to this pinecrest and they are impressed every single time by the quick service and prices on the menu. We are regulars at this pine crest bakery.

Tobias P.

Yelp
I don't know if the people working here don't know how to read or what, every time I order something they miss a part of my item, if it was once or twice ok fair, but every time? I just ordered the breakfast platter that comes with fries and toast and I did not receive fries or a toast... never ordering from here again. This place used to be amazing I don't know if they changed management or what but it needs to go back to what it used to be

Betty P.

Yelp
Food is good and the service was fast and friendly. Pastelitos are the best in Miami and the Cuban sandwiches are large and plentiful.

Sarah P.

Yelp
I came today and it was busy. Cute interior with pleasant fast service. I tried a spinach empanada, a coconut pastelito and cafe con leche. All were great

Grace C.

Yelp
the food is.. *chef's kiss*. easy fave, 24 hour spot perfect for drunchies or early morning breakki. get a cafe con leche and an assortment of pastelitos or a sandwich- can't go wrong.

Veronica D.

Yelp
We stopped at one of my favorite spots in Miami!!!!!! If you want authentic pastelitos this is the place you need to go. They have several spots in the city for convenience. The staff was nice and helpful Now on to the good stuff! We ordered a combination of treats guava & cream cheese pastry, cheese pastry (long one like a taqueno) potato ball and some ham croquettes. They were all so yummy and we came at the right time cause they were hot off the press! We also got to coffees that kept us awake till midnight. Happy New Year everyone Xo Veronica

Yelp
DO NOT order their imperial rice! It was disgusting!. this was the first time ordering from them and it was a huge disappointment. first I placed the order for 3.00. my son was there untill 4:00!!! waiting. they said they were "heating it up". ! i had no choice than to have him wait because we had 25 people to feed. when dinner time arrived and the rice was served, it looked like a paste inside of the rice. ( not shedded chicken or chunks. (a paste!) non of the guests ate it! I threw it out ! they kept asking if it was canned tuna !!! I was totally embarrassed ! totally unacceptable and I will be requesting a refund! NEVER AGAIN!

Sandi B.

Yelp
We ordered the Traditional Cuban and Steak sandwich on the telephone. When i went to pick up they stated that they ran out of Cuban bread without letting me know first? Like HUH because I was in a hurry I did not look at the receipt until I got home and was charged an additional $10.81 in gratuity that I DID NOT approve. I will never go here again nor will the people whom did NOT eat these sandwiches. Don't waste your hard earned money in this place not worth it. Wow

Yireh R.

Yelp
I had not realized I had come here so often that when I ordered my sandwich and the girl in the counter asked if it was possible to another employee they smiled and said that's how I always order it With that said, i love a place where they know you and make you feel like home. Everyone greets you as you enter and the line moves fast. Busiest time I've seen is the morning as everyone is getting their cafecito. The coffee is great and will keep you going. Their sandwich portions are sizeable so definitely shareable if you just want a normal size meal. Keep in mind that if you're ordering actual food, it is not instant but worth it. The little pastries, cakes etc are delicious, so if anything grab an appetizer . I've been to other branches but this is by far my fave.

Patricia S.

Yelp
I can't say enough about this quality and tasty bakery. I have great customer service every time !

Sarah M.

Yelp
We went to the one in Pinecrest in Miami very early in the morning.... The service was great. We had coffee and delicious pastries. It's been two weeks and i cannot remember what we ate but we both enjoyed it. Croquettas were delicious !

Tricia K.

Yelp
Do NOT get the house croquettas!! I repeat, do NOT get the house croquettas. They are awful. Ordered croquettas today and got 2 boxes of the house croquettas. They cost more money so they try to push them on you but they taste like crap. Had to dump. How do people eat these things? Why are they even on the menu?

Yvette R.

Yelp
Besides the young woman attempting to take the order of the person behind me in the line when I was clearly next, then crumpling up my receipt and tossing it into the trash after I paid without asking if I'd like it, at least she dug it out of the trash when I asked for it. To top it off she yelled "Mira niña", to alert me that my coffee was ready. The cafe con leche was excellent though, lol. Management skipped the customer service part of the training.

J I.

Yelp
I have been a customer at this location since day one and I would have to say that I am extremely disappointed with new management decisions that impact customer experience customers over 30 minutes for food on the way to work is totally unacceptable

Laura S.

Yelp
Likely one of the best "pan con tortilla" I've ever had. The bread was soft and gooey on the inside, yet crunchy on the outside. Service was great, everything you want from a Latin bakery. It was surprisingly well organized, with a separate coffee station, centralized cashier and incredibly fast kitchen. The cortadito, likely one of the best I've had as well. Really great coffee! Thank you! Since this bakery is on the north side of a shopping center, there was plenty of parking readily available. They seem to be having some issues with the a/c system and condensation as it's leaking on people as you walk in, but it's Miami, the drops will evaporate in seconds.

Stefano P.

Yelp
Prices go up every month and quality of food stays the same. A cuban breakfast is $12 now

Tensy M.

Yelp
My review went from 4 to 2. Because of the lack of cleaningness an attitude of an employee. Let me explain: they ask you for the tip before they give you the service. Ok. I can do that, but then I expect some kind of service. Well, after paying and everything, the only available table ( there are only 5 tables at this location) was extremely dirty. I told the server, expecting that he would send someone to clean or do it himself (he didn't have a name tag, but was a very short brunnet guy), instead he show me the cleaning spray and where the paper towel was. I pointed out that the tip is supposed to be for that, but he replied that I had to clean it myself. Sadly, the manager was next to him, but she said nothing at all. The food is still flavorful, but the portions have decreased.

Sandra B.

Yelp
Best pastelitos ever!! We live about 10 minutes away and we go here every other weekend.

Jeff S.

Yelp
If you are in the mood for Latin pastelitos, they have a huge assortment. HOWEVER, the prices are outrageous for the quality that you could get at another, cheaper cuban bakery. I don't recommend trying any of their desserts. I got a slice of chocolate cake. The cake was dry and the layers were separated by an overly sweet chocolate and vanilla meringue. I shudder to think what they would fill the Opera cake with! I think that basically, it is an overpriced Latin bakery which is just one of 10 million that one could choose from in Miami. Very disappointed in the quality and pricing of the food.

Pebbles C.

Yelp
Very disrespectful always acting like you don't speak English! Hang the phone up when asked to speak to someone who understands English!!

Michelle L.

Yelp
Everyone is so nice at this bakery. I love it here. Quality food great prices. Nice area to sit and eat. They are even doing a toy collection for the community. Love it! They have amazing beautiful cakes and pastries for any occasion. Stop on in. You won't be disappointed. Ask for the croquetta preparada with the "house ham croquettes" they are much better. Que rico!

Char O.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere. Greetings and attentive service with good food and when I go back to visit I will make sure to stop in again.

Perry C.

Yelp
Pinecrest bakery is a staple in Miami. Many locations are open 24/7. The bakery items are exceptional. If you ever have a sweet tooth try the flan cheesecake. It's divine. From the basics of cuban coffee, array of empanadas, and croquetas. Almost anything you pick on the menu is going to be delicious.

Hector R.

Yelp
Casual cafeteria / bakery serving counter served pastries and coffee, plus some other Cuban specialties. Staff is nice. They have good Cuban coffee. The scrambled eggs with French fries is my top go, the fries are well seasoned ( get it with ham inside the scrambled ) it's fairly priced and tastes really good. The lady who helps me is always nice and talkative. ( she's always telling me about her family in Cuba ). TRY THE PASTELLITO DE GUAVA!!!!

Nelson M.

Yelp
Well I have seen some mixed reviews for Pinecrest Bakery and I can't comment on any delivery issues as I have always gone on site; however, I have to say that every time I have been there the customer service has been excellent. I will tell you that it does get a little crazy when the place is packed but their staff does a good job of helping everyone. I was just their this past Saturday to pick up some empanadas for a family gathering and they offered to bake me a total of 24 fresh empanadas for my order. If that isn't good customer service I don't know what is. Everyone was very friendly in typical Cuban bakery fashion; also, all staff was wearing masks and gloves as well. Another plus is they are open 24 hours, which works well on the weekends. While I was waiting for my empanada order, I decide to get a Cafe con Leche (Large Latte) and a Pan con Lechon (Roasted Pork Sandwich). Both were excellent and very fresh. While I was enjoying my meal I noticed that the place started to get packed but everyone was observing social distancing and following the rules which was great. Tables are scarce as they are limiting at this time how many can sit inside but about four tables are available. Afterwards I cruised by the various refrigerators and they had all the usual bakery confections represented; however, on the cake side they had a number of the typical Cuban cake varieties and the more American style cakes as well. Needless to say the empanadas were a major hit at the family gathering. Everyone was commenting on how great they were and I can honestly say they were very good. I for one am very happy to have this bakery in the area as South Dade does have a shortage of good bakeries. Glad to see that they have been able to survive the pandemic as well. If you are in the area and looking for some Cuban coffee, croquettes, hot pastelitos or other pastries swing by and check them out. Enjoy and Bon Appétit!

Harry A.

Yelp
BEST LATE NIGHT BAKERY. Hands Down In my friends words : " These fries are F'ing Amazing! Where do they make these curly thangs? " On GoD, lets Go, pull up with us and just slide. Munchies is only a few minutes away that's the truth. This is definitely the food that a crack addict person will panhandle for instead of buying drugs. Totally worth it

Bill P.

Yelp
Media Noche was very good. The Croquetas were good but cold. Pinecrest usually does a pretty job.

Eddie B.

Yelp
This place is awesome the tequeños are super fire los batidos are soo!! good this is one of my I must stop by every time I come to Miami.

Juan A.

Yelp
A place out of place for those who know their place. Exquisite pastries by Joel. Those familiar to us who know and beckon to be tried to those that want to know. Welcome to this desert in need.

Yerika R.

Yelp
This is my favorite go to place to have breakfast would highly recommend it to anybody that would like to have some delicious cuban breakfast

Joseph P.

Yelp
Food just ok, service very good, no ambiance There are many place with fresher pasteries and the sandwiches are put together with no care

Adam M.

Yelp
I made an order through the phone and went to go pick up about an hour after placing order. Once I'm there and try to pick it up the ENTIRE staff started laughing at me. THE MANAGER INFORMS ME THAT THEY HAD EATEN MY FOOD BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT I WASN'T COMING. Completely unacceptable, awful staff and expensive.

Tranessa G.

Yelp
The food is good here to me.. they are friendly every time I come in... so with that being said I'll return again. Service is immaculate.b

Olga S.

Yelp
El mejor bakery las muchachas super atentas y los muchachos en especial el que atiende de noche me hace mi café super sabroso bendiciones infinitas para todos lo recomiendo

Wendy Z.

Yelp
I love Pinecrest Bakery. Their food is always absolutely delicious, and it's my go-to bakery for when I'm back in Miami. I'm a huge fan of their empanadas, pastelitos, and croquetas, and they have a pretty wide selection of handmade sandwiches as well. If you're swinging by, I'd also recommend grabbing a cup of orange juice as it's freshly squeezed. However, their service is pretty lackluster. There's a lot of people running around behind the counter, and if you're not a Spanish-speaker, you're going to have a lot of difficulty getting in your order. For a Cuban bakery in Miami, it's also on the pricier side. I can definitely find better bang for my buck, but still love this place regardless.

Kasandra I.

Yelp
Yesterday I went to Pinecrest bakery and I got a meat Colombian empanada with a staple in it. Today when I went to give them this empanada the manager said the only thing she could do was give me another one. The owner is horrible never going here again. Next time I am going to sue them for the owner to actually care and give me an actual compensation for their horrible product. Never go here again any can die for eating this piece of metal and not noticing

Gigi G.

Yelp
I come to this location almost every week for a late snack. The staff is always in a good mood despite the late hours, good music in the background, the cortadito is always on point, and the place is always super clean!

Cat Q.

Yelp
This place sucks. Not only is their food not actually good but everyone who works here is running around like a chicken with their heads cut off. It takes 30 minutes minimum to get your food after ordering. Go anywhere else!

Michelle P.

Yelp
I have never been more disappointed on an order from here or doordash. Let me startoff my saying I ordered the Grilled Chicken Special with cheese and it came with zero cheese. I paid extra for bacon on my Media Noche and it comes wrapped in mustard and with no bacon. Truly disgusting, it was prepared horribly. It was all soggy and cold, it was gross. Then when I look a my Fountain Fruit Juice I ordered Gurapo or Soursop, it was passion fruit instead. The only two things from my order that came correctly prepared were the Tequeño and the Chocolate Caliente. Door dash couldnt even issue me a refund. I am way more upset at the quality of Pinecrest Bakery, love this place for lunch or even a midnight snack but I am hesitant yo order here again. I am asking the bank for my money back since door dash could not credit me for the extra money I paid for these items. It's not about the money I could care less it's the fact that the workers had an order in front of them and they could not prepare it correctly. I do not suggest you order from the bakery on US 1 and 255th this has a been such a bad experience.Media Noche Sandwich

Cindy S.

Yelp
Do not order thru Yelp. It goes to GrubHub and Pinecrest Bakery takes two hours to fill any type of delivery order. They don't care about them, they are too busy in the restaurant so delivery isn't staffed. The restaurant is 11 minutes away. Don't offer delivery if you don't want to execute it.

Lindsey B.

Yelp
I come here all the time but disappointed today with the pastelito de carne. Very very tiny amount of meat. Used to be better

Vanessa L.

Yelp
Decent bakery to get any of your basic deep fried or carbed up foods. Was stopping by any bakery to grab some croquetas and Tequenos. Got my mom a café con leche too. When you come in it's a good sized place. They have a ticket dispenser as soon as you walk in. Which is good because it keeps the people in order. I grabbed on and went to the counter. There weren't many people there so one of the servers took me right away. I placed my order and got it quickly. I overheard one of the ladies saying that they had run out of Cuban bread (say what!). Hopefully that wasn't true cause that wouldn't be too good especially for those Cubans who like tostada in the morning. Paid a decent amount of money and was on my way. Good bakery to grab a quick snack or bite to take home or eat there. I also noticed they serve wine and sell wines too. Not too sure about the price though.

Melissa C.

Yelp
First day of vacation and I find Pinecrest Bakery. I was determined to go to an independent cafe and passed Starbucks. I had trouble communicating what I wanted - WHY did I study German? - but a clearly gentle giant of a bodybuilder helped me out. Then I find I left my debit card at the hostel so I told them I'd leave my phone with them and go get it, but a young Black woman quietly paid for me. And the coffee? Perfection! I'lol definitely return, with my debit card.

Jenise R.

Yelp
Finally got to try Pinecrest Bakery after seeing them pop up seemingly everywhere. Just your typical Cuban cafe (exactly like Vicky's Bakery) where you can get the typical pastelitos, empanadas, cafecitos, and so forth. Open 24 hours which is a plus, if only there was a place like this near my house! D: I went by for breakfast at around 8am, no line. The sweet lady at the cashier was very nice and almost motherly (probably because I look super young), typical Cuban customer service! I got a medium-sized cafe con leche and their sunshine croissant sandwich. Cafe con leche was good and their sandwich was pretty tasty, much larger than expected which is great considering I paid over $6 for it. It had eggs, two sausage patties, and gooey cheddar cheese in it. Worth another visit!
