But their flagship on US1 in (obviously) Pinecrest is the most reliable one (and we can’t be held liable if you go to another location). If you like a thick and sticky masa, go to this Pinecrest Bakery and get their jamon croquetas de la casa. They’re long, brown, and super crispy. But the inside is pinker than Miss Piggy’s wardrobe—and packed with just as much ham. "When we did our pastelito tasting, our notes on Pinecrest's versions included praise for its oozing guava, layers, puffiness, flakiness, and glaze. So, pretty much everything. Pinecrest just makes a very balanced pastelito. The only thing holding it back is the flavor of its guava and cheese filling.
