Tonight was our first time at Pink Flamingo, & it was a good, solid experience. I called a few minutes ahead of time, to make sure that (because it’s Valentine’s Day) there would be room, & someone confirmed that they would set aside a table, which I appreciated. We were seated promptly, & our server, Gabby, was wonderful; friendly & attentive.
I ordered the steak with the peppercorn sauce on the side, & someone came up to the table to let us know that the chef had made the steak with the sauce on top, & asked if that was okay, or if I wanted it remade. I was willing to wait the few extra minutes to have it remade (I don’t like coconut, & was glad to have had the sauce on the side). The steak was well-prepared, & the flavor was good. So were the seasoned fries.
The building seems to have some issues with flickering lights: every time the dishwasher turns on, the lights flicker, which was certainly not a deal-breaker, but a bit…distracting.
Also, they should have matchbooks! How cute would lil Pink Flamingo matchbooks be.
Overall, it was a good experience. Not stellar, but good!
