Highlights

"La oferta gastronómica del chef Eugeni de Diego para esta nueva apertura está basada en una marisquería desenfadada y basada en el producto como principal protagonista. Una cocina de plancha y al vapor, honesta y sin florituras. Producto de calidad, de temporada y autóctono de la zona."

"Anything seafood is the way to go at this newish, chiringuito-inspired spot on the outskirts of Maó, right on the harbor in Es Castell village. It’s only open from 6-11pm for now, but definitely make a reservation for dinner and get the grilled sardines, some fries with eggs and prawns, the mussels dressed with sobrasada, and a local tomato salad with mahón cheese. All of the seating is on the terrace that's decked with string lights and potted olive trees, and just a couple of meters from the water." - isabella noble

Pintarroja just opened for the season this past week, my husband and I had the pleasure of dining with them before we had to head back home. Their dishes are unique, fresh, thoughtfully prepared slowly and with the passion of their chef who has mastered the art of seafood. We enjoyed the anchovy toast and mussels with sobrassada, the delicious cocktails were a plus as well.

Food is quite good but not big quantities. The menu is not big and I think they missed more variety. What we ate was OK, place is fantastic with the views, service is also OK. Price about 40 euros pp

SUMMER IN A BITE 🌊 📍Menorca, Spain ⭐️ 4/5 💸 ££ 🍴We discovered this cute restaurant coming back from a day in the sea. Situated at Es Castell port, @pintarrojamenorca is an intermittent restaurant concept inspired by the summers on the island of Menorca. All the menu is based on Km0 fresh products from the sea. Grilled cooking, without frills, gives value to the products of the island 🐟 The place was also gorgeous, really aligned with the style and philosophy of the island in a relaxed atmosphere 🏝️ We went for their amazing tomato salad (my favourite dish!), their original tuna tartar, the yummy cuttlefish, and finally the mussels with sobrassada🤤

The best of the lot of the great waterfront restaurants in the area. The menu is smaller than most but the dishes are different to the other local restaurants and the quality of food is amazing. Staff and service are brilliant, wine is great and all reasonably priced and the setting is beautiful, built into the rocks behind and looking out over the estuary and boats coming back in for the day. Highly recommend the mussels!

OK this is not your usual tourist restaurant. The menu is very simple, with no extras. It's 'expensive' compared to the competition. But this is serious food. They know what they are doing. Don't expect compromise, just enjoy the food and talent on display 😎👍

Had a fantastic evening meal here. It was a new restaurant to us, and we weren't disappointed. Small menu, but, in our experience, this makes for a better meal as chef's can concentrate on making their dishes great. The waiter was exceptional, offering plenty of advice without being pushy.

Highly recommend. Food was very good and staff was beyond friendly and professional. Overall a lovely experience. We enjoyed the cocktails too and deserts are also worth a try. Everything we tried was great. The location by the port is also lovely especially if you go for sunset
