The 19 Best Restaurants In Menorca - Menorca - The Infatuation

"Anything seafood is the way to go at this newish, chiringuito-inspired spot on the outskirts of Maó, right on the harbor in Es Castell village. Definitely make a reservation for dinner and get the grilled sardines, some fries with eggs and prawns, the mussels dressed with sobrasada, and a local tomato salad with mahón cheese. All of the seating is on the terrace that's decked with string lights and potted olive trees, and just a couple of meters from the water." - isabella noble

Food is quite good but not big quantities. The menu is not big and I think they missed more variety. What we ate was OK, place is fantastic with the views, service is also OK. Price about 40 euros pp

Pintarroja just opened for the season this past week, my husband and I had the pleasure of dining with them before we had to head back home. Their dishes are unique, fresh, thoughtfully prepared slowly and with the passion of their chef who has mastered the art of seafood. We enjoyed the anchovy toast and mussels with sobrassada, the delicious cocktails were a plus as well.

We decided to eat here on our 3rd night and after reading other reviews we weren't sure what it would be like as mostly excellent reviews but one or two poor? Well from our enquiring if they had a table, most tables were reserved, to who we thought was the head waiter, I didn't get his name, to every aspect of the service all I can say is excellent and so friendly. We had tomato bread, ham croquettes, bikini de sobrasada, green salad, mussells with sobrasada and the chocolate cake washed down with an excellent red for me and rose for my wife. All of the above were served by Danny. First he is an absolute credit to the restaurant, top notch young man and waiter. Second the food was excellent, no complaints from us. Would we go back? Yes we would, thank you Pintarroja Menorca and of course Danny.

SUMMER IN A BITE 🌊 📍Menorca, Spain ⭐️ 4/5 💸 ££ 🍴We discovered this cute restaurant coming back from a day in the sea. Situated at Es Castell port, @pintarrojamenorca is an intermittent restaurant concept inspired by the summers on the island of Menorca. All the menu is based on Km0 fresh products from the sea. Grilled cooking, without frills, gives value to the products of the island 🐟 The place was also gorgeous, really aligned with the style and philosophy of the island in a relaxed atmosphere 🏝️ We went for their amazing tomato salad (my favourite dish!), their original tuna tartar, the yummy cuttlefish, and finally the mussels with sobrassada🤤

The best of the lot of the great waterfront restaurants in the area. The menu is smaller than most but the dishes are different to the other local restaurants and the quality of food is amazing. Staff and service are brilliant, wine is great and all reasonably priced and the setting is beautiful, built into the rocks behind and looking out over the estuary and boats coming back in for the day. Highly recommend the mussels!

We had chosen the Pintarroja restaurant for our last evening on the island because we dreamed of eating there and it was a disaster. We had booked during the day for 10:30 p.m. and we got the table at 11 p.m. As an apology, we were given a small beer when we would have preferred to choose a drink that we wanted. The rest of the dinner was a disaster: at the beginning of the order, we were warned that we had to order everything immediately because the kitchen closes at 11 p.m....😡. We asked for a wine from the island and were served a simple French wine that we paid €34 for… 🤯… We were served scallops and the plates were served to us even though we had finished the scallops so as not to eat them cold… throughout the meal, they cleared away the plates as soon as we had finished them because they were in such a hurry to close… finally at 00:15, we ordered a dessert because after 4 dishes that were so small for 2 we were still hungry… Frankly, we are not the annoying type but there, for our last romantic dinner, we would have dreamed of much better… Another piece of information that I just discovered: this restaurant was recommended to me by the Barcelo Hamilton Menorca hotel and when paying for the restaurant, I noticed that the credit card came out in the same name as the hotel 😳It's a shame because we also had problems in this hotel and yet we are not the type to complain
