Google
Our favorite place in all of Fort Worth. Exceptional service and food every time. We love to hear their specials as it’s always something good. My favorite is the bolognese and Caesar. Husband ordered the spicy mussel pasta. The mini cannolis are the perfect size for dessert.

Google
Dinner was perfect! We had not made a reservation, but came early enough that we were seated promptly. Besa, our server, did an excellent job taking care of us! Amazing food! Loved the bruschetta. Will return again!

Google
Had a wonderful dinner at Piola's! They have gluten free options marked on the menu and all of the staff were kind. My food was amazing and our waitress was so helpful and charismatic! It was a bit of a shock at first that this restaurant is inside of a house, and parking was a bit confusing to find, but overall a great dinner experience.

Google
We had dinner here for a friend’s birthday, and it was our first time visiting. The experience was great! The food was delicious—while they don’t make their own pasta, the sauces on every dish we tried more than made up for it. What truly made the evening special, though, was our server, Christina. She was fantastic from start to finish, incredibly attentive, and even helped us pull off a birthday surprise. Her service really elevated the entire experience!

Google
This was our first time trying this restaurant. We had reservations and chose the patio. The atmosphere was very lovely;romantic, comfortable seating with a fireplace and ample lighting. Our waiter, Eddie, was very knowledgeable of the menu and drink selections. Unfortunately, the food was ok. Lacking seasoning and just weird combos. The short rib was cooked to perfection, but lacked flavor. The potatoes that accompanied it had a strange sour taste that, in my opinion, did not pair well with the short rib. The halibut was slightly overcooked with no seasoning. It had char marks, but desperately needed at least some salt. The tomato sauce with gnocchi was sour and also lacked seasoning. The hollandaise sauce was more like lemon with butter as it was broken and watery. The creme brulee was runny, but the flavors were really spot on. I am not sure if we caught them on a off night or if it was due to our late reservation, 815 PM on a Friday night. This meal was priced as a fine dining experience, but did not meet expectations. I'm sure there are better Italian restaurants in Fort Worth with chefs who maintain standards that would love to take your money. Skip this place.

Google
So, I'm more of a Dallas person, but apparently, this spot in Fort Worth has been around for a while. If you're looking for a nice, affordable but delicious Italian restaurant, this is a good spot. It's family owned and was recommended by an Italian. The service was great and the food was delicious. We pigged out with 3 appetizers, 2 entres, and 2 desserts and did not break the bank!

Google
Great little place and great prices. Love the decor and so well appointed. Not sure why it doesn’t have higher stars because it was very good. We met up with people we don’t see often and we got to stay for a long time and we were not rushed out after our meal. Thank you for allowing us to have a nice time. We will be back when in town.

Google
I ventured to Piola for a fun girlfriend dinner after several recommendations. I was not disappointed. This charming restaurant is a gem. We dined indoors but outdoor seating is available (probably best enjoyed when it’s not a Texas Solar Apocalypse). Reservations are highly encouraged. We enjoyed several menu options (see attached photos). The device was impeccable and our waitress (Keely) was attentive and provided excellent dining and wine suggestions. The food was prepared and presented flawlessly. Can not recommend highly enough and I can’t wait to return for another special occasion or just to try more from the menu. My compliments to the owner, FOH, and BOH. It. Was. Perfect.

Yelp
food was amazing and the staff went above and beyond...cute and quaint place either way great wine selection we will definitely go back

David S.

Yelp
This was our first time to Piola, but definitely not our last. A renovated home, turned into a restaurant makes the atmosphere welcoming and comfortable, and the staff all continue make the ambience amazing. The food was exceptional. The caprese salad was very nice and the pesto that accompanied it was some of the best I've ever tasted. My wife had the smoked chicken fettuccini and I had the Chicken Involitini. I hadn't planned on it but I was convinced to try it after our waiter described it, and it was a great choice. The wines were very good as well. Can't wait to go back and try some of the other entrees.

Carmen A.

Yelp
Our hotel concierge recommended this place. We were staying nearby, at The Crescent Hotel. I later told him I was NOT at all happy with it. There were 3 of us and none of us would give the food higher than a 5 out of 10. Also, it is NOT authentic Italian at all. The red sauce was waayyyy too acidic. The lasagne I make at home is so much better. Don't even get me started on the awful bread! It was mediocre at best. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Annabel S.

Yelp
We've been here before and it was great, but I wanted to leave a review today based on our dinner last night. As a family with two small kids (4 year old and a newborn) we didn't even realize that people were still celebrating Valentine's Day on the 15th. When we showed up without a reservation (many places were full and we knew we loved the food here), the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome even though we were the only non "date" table there. They could have easily turned us away but I can't express enough how kind and accommodating they were and for that we will definitely continue to come here. The food was also great, especially the short rib and the cappucino ice cream pie!

Michelle H.

Yelp
We had an incredible Valentine's Day date. The menu was great, and the food was excellent. The service could not have been better.

Tonya K.

Yelp
Beautiful and cozy local gem. Unique menu and very attentive staff. Feels like a special occasion each time we go. Happy with most of our choices. We all left satisfied and smiling. Say yes to the halibut, caprese salad, martini, ravioli, goat cheese app, and desserts!

Raquel Q.

Yelp
The food is amazing!! I love their penne pesto and the garlic cheese bread. The service is good as well.

Olivia T.

Yelp
If I could rate ZERO STARS I would. Avoid this place! It's a total scam. They wait until you're seated to tell you you're not dressed appropriately. No signs, and they could have told us when we walked in that hats weren't allowed. Instead, they waited until we ordered our appetizers and wine. The staff was rude and judgy, looking us up and down. We ordered one appetizer that came out looking like microwaved cheese bread and left soon after to find a better Italian restaurant. This is not a good representation of Italians. Milano's Italian Restaurant is the way to go. The chef introduced himself, made my 1 year old laugh, and the food was amazing! So, Thank you for such a horrendous experience Piola's because you led us to better.

Sue H.

Yelp
We hosted a family event for a group of 30+ on the lovely patio at Piola. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food was delicious and the staff was so attentive to all of our guests. Donna was wonderful to work with, it's obvious she has a flair for handling large parties. Thanks to the entire staff for making our family event quite memorable!

Angelica m.

Yelp
Waitress was rude they rushed our party of 5 out food was pretty but the noodles where dry and the chicken soggy, but it's cute

Krystle K.

Yelp
The food here is really good. It is in the most adorable house turned restaurant and the service was very good. I had the caprese salad which was excellent, and the spicy fettuccine with shrimp and mussels. Delish!!! Highly recommend.

Aubrey B.

Yelp
Came here for father's day as another restaurant cancelled our reservation. It was delicious and our servers were friendly and great! Service was quick and we had a good time. I would recommend honestly everything we got as it had great flavors and portion sizes. The Lobster Ravioli was not enough food for my younger brother (17) so may need to order some side plates or something to share as well if you have big eaters. Atmosphere got 4 stars due to the pestery flies that kept coming to table when eating outside and being a bit hot (they had fans), otherwise everything else was great. Recommend for a night out with friends and family. Forgot to take pics but we got the following appetizers and all were scrumptious: Bruschetta, Giant Calamari, Garlic Cheese Bread & Mozzarella Stuffed Arancini. Same but with dessert: Chocolate Ganache Cake & Cappuccino Ice Cream Pie

Chris G.

Yelp
We came here on a Thursday evening, parking right across the street, Everyone was smiling, we were seated in an area near lots of wines. First we ordered the Garlic bread, it was light and delicious. Next up we tried the watermelon salad. It was so good, I want to make at home. It will surprise you and delicious it was. Next up my wife had the Pan Seared Salmon on bed of wilted spinach and carrots. She says it was Great, I had Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto. It was delicious to the last bite. Was a small crowd but we're seniors and eat early. I hope you check out Piola Restaurant and Gardens. Perhaps we'll see you there, Happy Trails Chris and Sharon Wilson

Cathy J.

Yelp
Great food -great service-great ambience. But it is 2024 and this restaurant does not have the ability to split a check. They require one credit card per table and they require the guest at the table to split checks and figure tips and tax, it's ridiculous. You can pick up the tab for the whole table or have everybody hand you money at the table, but the wait staff will not do it for you. Apparently they don't have time and they don't have updated POS system. I highly recommend if you must eat here, bring cash and keep track of the cost of what you're eating and drinking. We had a table of five. Everyone wanted to pay separately and it took us 10 minutes to figure the bill. This is the only restaurant we've been to in Fort Worth that will not do separate checks, quite frankly it wasn't worth the hassle. And I will repeat it is the only restaurant in Fort Worth that will not do separate checks for a table no matter how many Dining at the table.

Pat M.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here tonight. We arrived for our reservation and were seated. It took awhile for anyone to come over with the menus. We ordered bruschetta for an appetizer. It was pretty good but seemed pricey. We also orderec 2 glasses of wine. We split a watermelon salad. It was fair. I ordered chicken piccata and my husband ordered the Smokey chicken fettuccine. He said his dinner was not memorable. My dinner was ok. Our bill was $96 before our $20 tip . I do not think we will return for the price spent when it was just so so. Service was good but it was loud in there and Hard to talk and hear.

LaRae G.

Yelp
No idea why this place isn't rated more highly. I LOVED it. Husband got the smoked chicken fettuccine. Best I've ever had. The smoked flavor was incredible. I ordered bison meatball with pepperoncinis. I love pepperoncinis and this had just the right amount of it. Would go here all the time if I could. Inside is quaint and homey. The service was great too.

Scott L.

Yelp
Service was very good. Enjoyed the interior design and style. Food was fair to poor. First , very odd pricing .check out the website menu. Prices way up from postings examples on yelp. Pricy Appetizers were good but entries were disappointing. Lobster ravioli was light on the ravioli , Alfredo smoked chicken was soupy needed more pasta and served with tiny bits of chicken and oddly the lasagna was mostly sauce. Was a birthday dinner, so complimentary cannoli was presented but charged $8.50 for a small cup of vanilla ice cream. Every time we try , we never feel good about the overall experience. They must be watching their nickels and dimes....

Austin S.

Yelp
Went back and got the veal piccata, again! It was still good, but surprisingly not as good as the last time. Service and ambience were still great. Will def. be going back.

Lisa W.

Yelp
I was disappointed that our meals had only the main dish and no sides, not even bread. And everyone's meal cost in the $20 range. The food was ok, but I could have boiled some noodles, topped, with a sauce, and had salad and bread at home for way less than what we paid.

Bea K.

Yelp
We have frequented this restaurant for many years.....special events, VERY SPECIAL events, or dinner before Bass Hall. We ALWAYS have a wonderful meal, full of great memories. The food is outstanding. We frequently just Favor our meals when we don't want to get out of the house for the evening. The staff is great. Bobby and Donna are always so accommodating. Our favorite restaurant, always!

Trinity G.

Yelp
I have been here many times and love it. My husband and I came here on our first date, then again the night he proposed, and again right before we had our child. This restaurant holds a very special place in my heart, and it has never let us down. Everytime we come the staff is so nice and welcoming. We have never received any food that wasn't amazing with wonderful flavors. Plus they have a romantic atmosphere. Cannot wait to come back again for another date night.

Lisa L.

Yelp
We only have dessert pics because we ate so many wonderful tasty items before this! Love love arancini with light truffle

Abbey K.

Yelp
- So we went for a family dinner. We sat on the patio. There was no music playing which we requested. They put some on but then it kept going out and was just very awkward. You aren't even served bread with oils like most Italian restaurants. However We ordered multiple items to snack on. The giant calamari was delicious but the sauce tasted like sweet Chile from the store - would have much rather a couple of sauce options in little bowls to sample and not covered them all in the sauce. The meatballs for appetizer were delicious. The Caesar salad was a good 2/10. Old yellow lettuce with canned sauce. They could have easily made their own dressing and it would have elevated the dish. I can make better at home. Lobster bisque was very creamy however overall good flavor. Cheese bread was literally one slice of bread with cheese. Like come on. The entrees were the best things. The pastas were delicious all had great sauce. The desserts were amazing as well. Overall this place is alright. It's a decent meal however much other better places out there. probably will not come back but I'm glad I tried it out.

Joseph A.

Yelp
We went on a Monday evening. The food was wonderful. They have great service! I highly recommend them for any occasions.

Karen M.

Yelp
I'm visiting from California. After 4-days of meetings imagine my surprise when I researched and found this lovely lil gem, tucked away in a neat little neighborhood in the 'burbs of Ft Worth. I had the most enjoyable meal and the wait-staff who helped us, Femy was awesome. When / if back in Ft worth...I shall return. Such a great dining experience.

Risa T.

Yelp
My cousin had a wedding party of about 15 people with a set menu. He placed a 500 deposit cash and the other half was to be paid with cash as well which is unheard of from a restaurant establishment these days. The service was not good, seemed very rushed and the servers seemed annoyed. People were also walking around without masks which was a bit of a concern. 5 people ordered the Marsala and nobody liked it. They asked to switch for something else and the owner came up, grabbed a fork off of the table and took a bit of my cousins Marsala and said sorry this is our Marsala and it's cooked fine. We can get you another dish but you have to pay for it. WHAT?! I was so appalled and she had an attitude the entire time. My cousin stayed that he was happy to pay for a dish that was to his liking as he already did and she ended up switching it but only after 5 minutes or arguing about it. One of the guest was allergic to chocolate so she couldn't eat the desert and asked for a cheesecake instead and the waiter told her to just switch with someone. In addition to all of that, they serve hot tea in a glass cup with a weird handle that can pose a hazard if spilled and guests couldn't even drink it because the whole cup was so hot. If i could give zero stArs i would. I feel so horrible we had this experience on their wedding day.

Phil J.

Yelp
Wife and I had a belated Valentines dinner there last Saturday night . I had requested patio seating since I had read that the patio was very romantic .There were only 2 other couples outside. The patio was absolutely nothing special, very plain with a few cheap lights hanging. The lights attracted a huge amount of flying insects. I was swatting them all evening. They even flew into our waitress's face as she took our order. I asked if something could be done. She then turned off a few lights to cut down on the bugs. The owner immediately came out and told her she couldn't do that. What a Jackass! The final straw was when 2 insects landed in my chicken parmigiana which I couldn't eat. No apologies nothing from owner or waitress. Stay away from this place!! My wife and I have celebrated Valentines for 35 years. This was by far the worst!! Also found their prices outrageous! There lots of good Italian places out there. Find one that cares above their customer, this one doesn't!!

Gerson H.

Yelp
Just came across it online looking for somewhere different to eat. I couldn't we couldn't be happier. Great food great atmosphere and the service was too notch.

Katy R.

Yelp
House turned Italian restaurant its simple but beautiful inside and somehow still both upscale and comfortable. You can easily come for a regular dinner with family and friends or a big romantic one. Service was spot on all night and we wanted for nothing. We had a red blend wine that was phenomenal, some gluten free bruschetta (for a friend with celiac) and then lobster ravioli. Split a few desserts and left absolutely stuffed!

Bob P.

Yelp
Positives: classy, good service, good parking in the lot across the street. Not so positive: the food. My wife had the chicken alfredo; loved the sauce but thought the chicken was bland, possibly boiled. My lasagna was absolutely average. We won't go back again, not because it's a bad restaurant, but because there are so many other Italian restaurants we want to try in Fort Worth.

Amy C.

Yelp
Perfect date night place, but not over the top fancy. Food was excellent, as was service.

Megan W.

Yelp
Most enjoyable dinner with family. Delicious food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Plus they offer gluten free options. Will definitely return.

Jane A.

Yelp
Food is amazing and service is top notch! My pasta was the best I've had in a long time. They also have a second wine list with excellent Italian wines.

Fred C.

Yelp
Great food and service and Very wheelchair friendly! Cozy setting in residential neighborhood ...... very classy with outdoor patio .

Alexa A.

Yelp
We make trips to Ft.Worth from Dallas just to eat here!! The food is absolutely divine! The service is always attentive and wonderful as well. Love the cozy feel of the restaurant and the large back patio for events!

Mike V.

Yelp
oh! it is amazing. i love the decor and such a pleasant calm atmosphere. ask to sit on the patio!

Joy S.

Yelp
First time visit, waitress was great about recommendations. Everything we ordered was delicious. Bruschetta, a different take on the classic. Unique but flavorful. Shrimp risotto was amazing. Flavors balanced well, light but full of flavor. Lasagna was incredible. Definitely recommend.

Michelle T.

Yelp
I went here for my friend's graduation dinner and they were somewhat accommodating to our large group. Days prior, on the phone, they were reluctant to add 2 more people to our party due to them saying the restaurant was overbooked. When we came, there was only 1 other table with 5 people seated...so I was really confused on why they said that the restaurant was overbooked.... Other than that situation, the restaurant has a nice, quiet, romantic ambiance. White table clothes, wine wall, all-black wait staff - fancy restaurant. The staff were friendly and made sure we had water and bread all night. We started with the bruschetta which had goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, roasted red peppers and crostini. It was jam packed with flavor and a nice starter. For entrees, my friends and I got: Rigatoni Bolognese, Penne Pasta, and Lobster Ravioli. All delicious and nicely portioned. My favorite was the lobster ravioli. Overall, a nice, fancy restaurant with lots of Italian options. From the other reviews, beware of the service and/or owner.

Sierra S.

Yelp
This was my first time going here and I will most definitely be back! The service was great, very kind staff and great timely service. The environment is so cool! The food was phenomenal too, every dish has its own little unique spin to it. If you want somewhere to go for a nice, intimate quiet date, this is your place to go! We will definitely be back.

Dink M.

Yelp
Damn this awesome restaurant should be 5 stars but needs to fix a couple of things to get that IN MY OPINION. First, the wine list needs a complete overhaul by someone who actually knows wine...ESPECIALLY THE ITALIAN WINES - duh this is an ITALIAN restaurant! What a mixed up hodgepodge of labels for the uneducated and uninformed. Finally, the QR code for the bill works for the bill but NOT for the tip! CLOVER is the service apparently. Did NOT work. Had to CashApp tip to the poor server!

Stacia P.

Yelp
Celebrated 2 birthdays with our group. Tiny, intimate restaurant. Servers were very attentive and the food was amazing!

Jerry C.

Yelp
We loved eating at Piola. We were welcomed warmly as we entered this remodeled home from a former era and sat at a cozy table for two beside the wine rack, open for us to look at now and then during the evening. Our server took our drink order and we began with the delicious lobster bisque and a Caesar salad that we shared. Both were excellent choices and delicious. For our entrees my wife ordered the chicken marsala with polenta and I had the salmon with vegetables and a lemon sauce. Both our meals were cooked to perfection. We shared the popular cappuccino ice cream pie for dessert. It was a memorable experience and a place we will want to return to when we are in Fort Worth again.

Preston B.

Yelp
Ate here a few months ago. Great food, lovely atmosphere, could use a little more lighting in the patio area, it was kinda dark out there due to it being nighttime. Service was wonderful-- very attentive waitress.

Lee R.

Yelp
What an unfortunate dining experience. And a superspreader site for the COVID Delta variant. The main dining room is adjacent to a "private" dining room. The night we were there, the private dining room was overfilled with a group of braying women and their menfolk celebrating someone's 30th birthday. No masks were seen on anyone. Their noise level was unbelievable and self-absorbed. Management did nothing to mitigate the volume. The "curtain" that could have been drawn to separate the spaces was not drawn closed. It would not have helped noise levels anyway. I turned to a couple seated next to us. "We can't hear each other, either," the woman said. Cutting some staffing shortage slack for the beleaguered, non-responsive, and snotty service, the food was uneven. Calamari was a good surprise. Rigatoni was strong. Flourless chocolate ganache was a nice finish. But what on Earth was the veal piccata? The broth for the mussels was difficult to identify, as well. In a time when restaurants COULD enforce COVID protocols, this supposed Fort Worth dining destination was grim. We saw maybe two or three other customers wearing masks when not seated. Only one employee wore a mask, an extremely attentive and hard working busser. I slipped her a $20 as a tip and thanked her for wearing a face covering. It's too bad. The setting could be lovely. But between the women yelling across the room in the "private" dining space, the noise level of the restaurant, a server-with-attitude who did not listen, the complete disregard for public health (or perhaps complicity in denial of its reality) and the unidentifiable picatta, it would be impossible to recommend this place to anyone other than those whose dining standard is an adult take on Chuck E. Cheese.

Julie O.

Yelp
Inexperienced service staff. Unpolished. Average food. Another table's leftovers were set on our table while server addressed a question.

Hyun P.

Yelp
I love the Italian food here, nice cozy atmosphere. I tried the pan seared salmon, chicken involitni, lasagna, they were all good. I do not recommend the lobster ravioli, you cannot taste any lobster in the ravioli.

Brianne D.

Yelp
So this place is a little confusing if you've never been here before as it looks like a house, parking is across the street. But super cute setting inside. Be aware that there is a dress code, we did not know this. The food is amazing and drinks as well! I would most definitely return. Waitress was a little pushy trying to rush us and wanting to pick up plates as we literally set the fork down, that's why it's a 4/5

Heather T.

Yelp
We had never been before but decided to try prior to a concert at Dickies Arena. We had a reservation and were seated right away. The service was excellent, we were asked many times by our server how we were doing. Great cocktails and wine. Would love more offerings by the glass though. Started with homemade garlic bread, Caesar salad, and the shrimp and asparagus risotto. So delicious. Hubby and I shared the lemon cello cake after. It was good, like a pound cake. They were out of cappuccino ice cream pie Would definitely recommend and try again!

Thanh L.

Yelp
The service that i received was not only appalling but an outright assault on the world of medium class dining. My wife and I decided to have dinner there for our 35th anniversary and were extremely disappointed with the waitstaff's lack of common decency and poor hospitality skills. Safe to say, i would give Piola Italian Restaurant & Garden a rating of low mid.
