Google
Food was great, they have a wide selection if you go with their buffet option. Service and atmosphere is good as well, but we received the best service when seating at the bar. They were even able to make for us a dish that was not on the menu that day. The pull apart cinnamon bread is HUGE and delicious, just keep the size in mind if your party size is just made of two. The only room for improvement is communication. Since they had a buffet option but also a la carte, the waiter on out first day failed in explaining how it worked, and what was included and what was not. She just started offering us thing that we thought were covered or included in the buffet. We found out later when we received our bill. We were guest at Mission Pacific so this was our place for breakfast. After our first not so great experience, we learned how the menu worked and had no issues after that.

Google
Most of their dishes were very tasty, I’ll add more amount of food to each of them tho. The device was very good and the decoration is beautiful. I will recommend the Sea bass. For breakfast they get packed and is hard to get a table, so make sure to have a reservation ahead of time. Their breakfast buffet is $55 usd, the à la cart option is better especially if you’re staying at the hotel and would like to use your hotel credit.

Google
We stayed at the Mission Pacific Resort and breakfast was included with our FHR booking. Reservation was made through the desk at check in. Our 9am time a lot was easy to handle in a weeks day. The crowd was very light…weekends are much busier…a buffet is served on weekends. We were seated at a window table with a nice view of the outside street and terrace. The menu had lots of options that all sounded delicious. Beginning with a cappuccino that is the best I have had lately in my travels…thick, foamy and full of flavor. Selecting the Crab Eggs Benedict, my wife had the O’side breakfast. The food all came relatively quickly. The poached eggs on my Benedict were overcooked The rest of the breakfast was cooked just right and was filling and full of flavor.

Google
The food presentation was nice, the taste was good but I've had better. A little expensive if you ask me. For a latte, avocado toast and poached egg plus 18% tip was $47ish. the service and hospitality was great though.

Google
We came here for breakfast and everything was excellent! Our server Angelica was very attentive and accommodating. Everything we ordered not only came out looking delicious but tasted fantastic too! I will absolutely come here again!!

Google
Located in the Seabird Hotel, it's upscale without being stuffy. Chef is creative with both flavors and presentation. The wine list is impressive. A special place for a special occasion.

Google
Came here for a fast Dinner, they delivered. We had a retreat to attend, and had to eat fast and go. Our waiter was super understanding and got our food out. The goat cheese ravioli was to die for!! Excellent. Wish I had more time to explore more of the amazing foods they had. Definitely a place to visit!!

Google
Wow! Today's Christmas buffet was amazing. Everything from the herb roasted pork loin to the kampachi and fish ceviche. My favorite was the turkey with wild mushrooms which I paired with brussels sprouts. Charlotte our server was great and was very attentive. I will highly recommend the buffet when offered. Venue is very nice, the buffet was delicious and the service was stellar!

Randy M.

Yelp
My family and I went to the Piper at the Oceanside Hyatt for Christmas, and we were truly amazed, especially by the service and, most of all, the food. Everything was incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The seafood display was outstanding, and the red wine-poached pears and turkey with mushrooms were some of the best I've ever had, especially for a Christmas buffet. I don't usually enjoy buffets, but this was nothing like a typical one. For anyone looking for an amazing experience with tasty, high-quality food, this is definitely the place to go.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Christmas dinner was amazing The turkey with the mushrooms was absolutely spectacular .

Yelp
Piper was such a standout dining experience. The food was genuinely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Every dish felt thoughtful without being overly complicated. The staff were truly lovely. Service was polished, warm, and attentive from start to finish. We were even surprised with a complimentary hors d'oeuvre from the chef, which made the whole experience feel elevated and personal. The inside was also beautiful! Between the quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the outstanding service, Piper is absolutely worth a visit if you're in Oceanside. I'll definitely be returning.

Yelp
The food is great; you won't be disappointed. We ate breakfast and dinner here, and both occasions were consistent. There are a few options for vegetarians on the menu, but the menu is predominantly catered to meat-eaters. Breakfast has more options than dinner; dinner, however, had only one entree listed on the menu that didn't include meat. With that said, we had a pleasant time during both occasions. Their cocktails were delicious, although mine arrived after my entrée was served. The place wasn't busy; it was about 1/4 full at the time. Overall, it's a great place for date night, and a nice place to eat by the Pier. There aren't too many other places in the immediate area like this place.

Yelp
Stayed at The Seabird for a few days and had breakfast at Piper each morning since it's included in the Hyatt Globalist breakfast benefit. We ordered the Cinnamon pull-apart bread to share once morning and did not anticipate what a huge portion it was! Would only recommend getting this if you're with a table of 4+. The hubs, his mini-me, and I could only eat a third of this, so had to take the rest to-go, and still could not finish it since it's very sweet. I also ordered the Avocado Toast to with House Cured Smoked Salmon. The salmon portion was very generous as well, so the hubs had some of it too. Hubs had the first class mimosa (pomegranate, rosemary, and sparkling wine) and the Summer Farmer omelette and enjoyed both. His mini-me had lots of fruit and greek yogurt, which she loved. Would highly recommend ordering off the a la carte menu even if the weekend brunch buffet is offered, since I do find that the former's offerings are fresh and generously portioned. Be sure to reservations in advance since they do get pretty busy on weekends, and plenty of folks staying at the Mission Pacific come over here for breakfast as well. Do note that the restaurant is on the ground floor and adjacent to the check-in front desk, so it isn't facing the beach or anything. We don't really care for a view during breakfast, but some people do care lol. Overall lovely service with fresh and organic offerings!

Yelp
Food, service, vibes - Piper's got it! Came to celebrate a dear friend's birthday, and it was everyone's first time at Piper. The host was very accommodating to give us the best table in the house. Pro tip! - make a reservation for an early dinner to enjoy the beautiful sunset + get a pic of a table. Our server Tiana went above and beyond to make our evening special and tasty. Drinks and food were flowing, we had everything we need. Standouts were the ahi app and seabass main. Manager Mark was so hands on and made sure our group had a great birthday celebration. He was warm, welcoming, and ensured our meal was perfect. So impressed with the service here! Def 5 stars all around.

Yelp
I reading many good reviews for Piper Restaurant at Seabird Resort in Oceanside, so I made a reservation before our stay there. For dinner, the staff greeted us nicely and made us feel welcome. The place is cozy and feels like home. Our server Sara was very good. She helped us choose our food. We started with Duck Liver Mousse. It was excellent and very tasty. For main dishes, the Brandt New York Steak was perfect. The Cioppino looked nice, but the taste was just okay. We came back the next day for breakfast. The Lobster Omelette and Crab Cake Benedict were both very good and delicious. The service was great, and most of the food was wonderful. I will come back again next time I stay at Seabird Resort. I definitely recommend this restaurant! My Personal Rating : 4.38 Food 4.3/5 Service 4.5/5 Price 4.1/5 Ambiance 4.5/5 Cleanliness 4.5/5

Yelp
We went here for Christmas breakfast, and it definitely did not disappoint. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy and we didn't have a reservation, the wait staff was able to accomodate us. There is both indoor seating, bar seating, and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating wasn't too bad seeing as they had heaters outside. It's also a great people watching view at the corner of Myers Street and Mission Avenue. The waiter was very nice and always checked in on us to see if we needed water refills or sauces. Food was okay. The Lobster Omelet had more lobster than I originally assumed. The steak was a bit fattier than I liked. Eggs were perfectly made over easy. The potatoes was cooked to perfection. My favorite was the mushroom gravy. It really made the steak more tolerable. This was our first time here and will probably be our last unless we're at the hotel again.

Yelp
There was really nothing special about it. The food was super average and the price for it was not worth it. You can definitely find better spots for brunch/breakfast. The menu is also super limited. Only thing going for them is that the staff was really friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Good spot for breakfast especially if you're staying in the hotel. Located in the lobby of The Seabird Ocean Resort and Spa. Buffet was the intial option but went with the Ala cart as i didn't have the stomach to indulge in the buffet, maybe next time! So I ordered the O'side over medium eggs, potatoes, bacon with toast. As simple and home-easy this can be they didn't screw with it. They did this basic breakfast solid by not adding any flair or surprises. Bacon was thick and crispy, my over medium the egg yolk was perfectly oozing out, the potatoes were actually my favorite thing as it was so crisp and crunchy yet the inside was fluffy as can be, toast was sourdough and again spot on. simple with brioche french toast which was in my opinion text book! It had this nice toast exterior with a slight crisp and the bread went from texture to nice custard texture. Needed syrup for sweetness but that's what I prefer and expect from my french toast. Well made! Love that there's no condiments on the table and they serve it! I honestly thought they were gonna grab the oside order from the buffet line which I am so glad they didn't! The service was amazing as our server was attentive and quick with everything! I'm definitely coming back!

Yelp
We always try to do at least one fancy meal whenever we visit my family down south since we don't usually get to see each other very often. This time we decided on this place as it had good reviews and my sister also had been wanting to try it! I made a reservation in advance since we're a large party, and generally you can easily assume the seating would be inside (unless they offer outdoor seating specifically and/or if you request). However, when we arrived, they somehow had wanted to seat us outside without even asking. We're NOT outdoor dining people, so we immediately requested to be placed inside since I saw one LAST table space that could accommodate our large party. They didn't seem receptive to the request initially and made us wait (and even tried to convince us again to sit outside). We refused so they eventually did end up setting it up for us. We ordered a variety of items to share family style and got a couple of kids meal items for our 2 kids. I was very sad to find out that they do not offer complimentary house bread, so we had to order bread separately for an added cost. The service was spotty at best since our server was responsible for quite a few number of tables (about half the restaurant). It was difficult to flag him down throughout the service, but we tried to make do. He also made a few blunders during the meal so he ended up sending a couple of desserts on the house at the end to make up for it. I know that hotel restaurants generally don't have good reputations and really wanted this place to be an exception. Unfortunately, it just didn't hit the mark.

Yelp
Great meal to start off the day! The lobster omelette was quite a treat with big morsels of lobster meat in every bite. Best biscuits and gravy! The eggs were cooked perfectly and topped over a sausage gravy on a bed of fluffy biscuits. Our waitress was wonderful and the staff were lovely all around. Beautifully decorated restaurant that gave modern California coastal vibes with the option to also sit outside.
google avatar

Ailin J.

Yelp
Like other reviews, service was weirdly so slow yet there wasn't that many people there. Food did taste fresh and I highly recommend the pappardelle and sea bass! The raspberry cake was also so light and the gelee was a fun texture.

Yelp
Came for brunch on Sunday and opted for a la carte instead of the brunch buffet since we couldn't justify the $52/person price tag. Piper's a la carte menu is really small (5 items in total), and you can tell by the pricing that they try to steer you towards the buffet (ex: $24 avocado toast is one of the 5 items). We got the 2 eggs plate, which came with some house potatoes and choice of meat, for which we selected sausage. The sausage was really dense, salty, and small. Service was friendly for the most part. Location is great with water views, so if you're interested in a vibe-y brunch, Piper could be a good choice.
google avatar

Fely L.

Yelp
Piper is restaurant inside the Seabird hotel. Beautiful inside the restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Came in for complimentary breakfast with coworker. She had steak and egg and I ordered the skillet two eggs skillet with sausage and potatoes. Coworker steaks was delicious! It came with a gravy dipping sauce but didn't need it. It steak was cooked perfect med rare and was tender. Egg was over medium and mini potatoes cook nicely. Now my breakfast nothing to boast about as it came out not as a scramble skillet. It came out two eggs medium, two sausage links and potatoes. Still good but was expecting a skillet. We also ordered two lattte. Overall yummy breakfast.

Yelp
I'm so sad, since this place has so much potential! It mainly missed the ball in 2 ways: 1) The staff are so friendly, but service overall is slow and food is not even close to being worth what they charged. 2) They're connected to 2 WORLD CLASS resorts that provide an extraordinary experience. For this place to fall below expectations in such an epic way was extremely disappointing. The excellence of the people skills of the staff brought this review from a 1 star to 2. The biggest issue? We bought a $100 20oz ribeye. Coming from Vegas, that's a justified price for a delicious steak. That's why we ordered it. What we got was a steak that tasted like it was cooked the day before and then microwaved before serving to us. Even after the remake. I would rather take a $14 steak from Costco that my wife cooks herself. Also what was mind blowing was how slooooooow the service was. I understand if food takes a while to come out, but a wine and cocktail took 30 minutes. We stayed at Mission Pacific Beach Resort (which was amazing) and Chase gave us food credit, so we decided to use the credit on Piper... big miss-steak. We will definitely be back to the resort, but will be avoiding Piper!
google avatar

Brittney L.

Yelp
Ate here twice. Once for breakfast and once for dinner and I don't have a glowing review for this place but everything is acceptable. I enjoyed their breakfast more than their dinner option but the service was pretty slow for breakfast and the food took a while. Also pretty pricey for what you're getting. Had some kind of steak for dinner which was kind of gristly for my taste. Wouldn't get it again.

Yelp
We had Thanksgiving dinner today at "The Piper" with our family of 8 enjoying the holiday here in Carlsbad. It felt like we were attending a sad wedding reception with ok food. First, our reservation, prepaid, $150 per adult, appeared to include complimentary wine: "Savor curated selections of red and white wines that perfectly compliment the meal." Instead, there was a sad bar in the corner where we could walk up and order/pay for drinks. Second, the Open Table reservation showed pictures of the interior of Piper restaurant, instead we were seated at a round table in a half-empty, bland ballroom. Waitstaff cleared the plates slowly but no one else talked to us. So odd. Third, the only drinks included in the $150 per person fee were coffee, tea and water. In general, for the cost, this experience was far below expectations. It felt like we were eating in a retirement home with a view of the ocean. One saving grace was that the turkey itself was quite delicious.

Yelp
Food is amazing the wine bread, the cheese both dishes were fantastic. We had a little bit of everything and it was an unforgettable evening. Our waiter was very knowledgeable. It was his direction that created our beautiful evening. Ever so grateful after a horrible day he made our night Joseph Laied

Yelp
Piper serves farm to table coastal California cuisine using the freshest ingredients. We started with a chickpea sphere filled with avocado mousse for our amuse-bouche. It tasted like an ode to chips and guacamole. We shared the pappardelle, lobster Nero pasta, 20oz ribeye and cedar planked branzino. The pastas were good but not better than most Italian restaurants in San Diego. The ribeye was tender and came with a delicate sauce that was not overpowering. The star of the show was the branzino perfectly cooked with a crispy skin paired with green tomatoes, it's a dish worth coming back for. Service was top notch. Food came out on the slower side. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner at Piper.

Yelp
5 stars for service. Had a very pleasant time with the staff here. Great teamwork and customer service. Food itself was decent. Nothing stood out as incredible or amazing. The squid ink pasta was interesting, had a mild spicy kick. Sea bass was a bit overcooked and tough but otherwise tasted fine. Focaccia with whole garlic cloves and butter was good, although I wish it was a little warmer or more toasted. Overall, a decent experience. May be worth a taste for guests staying at the hotel.

Camille M.

Yelp
this rating is for the brunch buffet. Between 11-12, they require you to pay the $50 per person for brunch. It was absolutely not worth it - no waffle or pancake station or option.. overall food was bland and I only ended up making a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon and some bacon. Pretty disappointed and our bill ended up being close to $200 for 3 adults because of tax and tip. It seems the non brunch menu is great but don't waste you're money if you are forced to do brunch

Yelp
Came here on a saturday around 10 am and sat at the bar. Took awhile to get seated. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. We got the breakfast buffet and everything was good but not that memorable. The miso soup was a little strange. The brisket was cold when i got it not sure why. The breakfast buffet was like $52 per person. Which is pretty high for the quality of the food. Service was amazing tho!

Yelp
Gorgeous restaurant close to the water and inside the hotel. We ordered the burger and fries (you need to order separately) and had the place almost to ourselves on a foggy Monday lunch! Service was great and parking pretty easy on the street (thought weekends can be tricky).

Yelp
Piper really surprised me in the best way. It's right on the water so the views are beautiful. It was understandably busy but we got lucky and found a parking spot right up front. They do offer valet if needed. Service was solid throughout the meal. I ordered the sea bass which came with a pistachio topping and it was absolutely delicious. They also brought out a complimentary rice cracker appetizer with an avocado filling to start. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back.

Yelp
We came here during our stay at Mission Pacific because we had a credit- the breakfast was delicious- get some toast or a biscuit (yum!) purely so you can try the Guava Jam- ah-mazing. We got an omelette with grits and the O'Side plate. We also got the green juice and beet juice- serving size was small. The green juice was, well, quite green tasting and the beet juice was delicious! The service was so wonderful and friendly , plating was beautiful, silverware was so shiny it could have been a mirror. Pricing is a little steep, but that's to be expected at a hotel restaurant. The food and service stood up to the price though!

Yelp
We visited Piper for Mother's Day brunch, and everything felt thoughtfully done , from the ocean-view setup to the fresh, beautifully presented food. Highlights: oysters, shrimp, and an omelette station that really delivered. My cocktail was carefully crafted and absolutely hit the spot. I'm already planning to come back for the prime rib and white asparagus ,they looked amazing. Great setting, great food, and perfect for a special occasion.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in Oceanside visiting friends, a stop at Piper is a must. My friends and I love the inviting atmosphere, stunning views, and exceptional food and drinks. We've been here a couple of times, and it was their unforgettable squid ink pasta that brought us back for more--the flavors were bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. The staff provided excellent service, offering thoughtful recommendations that made our visit even better. On our second visit, we were disappointed to find the squid ink pasta no longer on the menu, but the dishes we tried instead were equally impressive. We shared the clam linguine, Nonna's bolognese, and the braised short ribs family-style among four people. Each dish was fantastic--the short ribs were incredibly tender, falling apart with just a fork, and the clam linguine was a seafood lover's dream. Portions were generous, making it perfect for sharing, and every bite was a delight. Piper is definitely a spot I'd recommend to anyone visiting Oceanside. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

Yelp
Staying at the Seabird, we decided to enjoy breakfast at The Piper. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is very welcoming and personable. I enjoyed their avocado toast with poached eggs which was presented beautifully. My daughter enjoy the brunch buffet. She says it's the best she has ever had! We will definitely return. Make sure to give it a try.

Yelp
Had higher expectations for the breakfast which was a recommendation from the Mission Pacific Beach hotel we were staying at. Buffett looked decent but food was cold (scrambled eggs and potatoes), many items just room temp like the fruit, waffles cold and eggs gone at 8am. Salmon was a fishy and just not good unfortunately. Appeared the pans the food were in did not have anything below them to continue to warm. For $50 a person this was definitely not a great experience, something definitely felt off this morning. Service was good but that didn't make up for the poor quality and freshness of the food...
google avatar

Yelp
Where do I begin? The interior of the place has a clean look while also achieving a timeless experience. The dimness of the lights creates a romantic ambience and it brings an interesting color scheme to the restaurant. I tried Piper for dinner and the following day for breakfast; my compliments go towards both times. Dinner: - The "Hidden Temple" cocktail which was deliciously crafted, I did not want it to end. -The "Piper's Burger," which was probably the juiciest burger I have ever had. -The "Chateaubriand," which could be perfectly shared between 2-3 people. -The "Parker Rolls." I know it is not advised to order carbs in the beginning, nor is bread the healthiest form of carbs, but these were a hit because they arrive so soft and warm! Breakfast: -Two Eggs any Style *Can't go wrong with the obligatory American breakfast because everywhere you have it, they tailor it uniquely to their own.
google avatar

Viclaire S.

Yelp
Had a weekend stay at the Seabird Resort and this restaurant is attached to it. It was our first time staying there and we had dinner and breakfast here. Dinner was so delicious!! The Parker rolls still linger in my head with that salty butter!! My short ribs were just the perfect serving with the mash and asparagus. I don't know what I was thinking but the chocolate cake sounded like a great way to end the evening. Though it absolutely was, prepare to share because it is a generous size and very rich! If you love chocolate, it's for you! We didn't have reservations (which we knew to do for both of our breakfasts after speaking with our amazing server) we were sat right away and everything went smoothly. There are two options for breakfast- a buffet or a la carte. We experienced both and once again, I can confidently say..amazing service and great meals. The buffet has everything from French toasts, pastries, fruit, egg omelettes, yogurts, oatmeal! You name it. You also cannot go wrong with the a la carte. Many good choices there too. I love the vibe here. Beach, casual but with a hint of an upscale feel. There are seating styles for all parties, large or small, and plenty of outdoor seating too. I would absolutely come back here again!

Yelp
Piper was my first stop after I hit off the Amtrak from Anaheim to Oceanside. Off mission and a block from the beach..I sat on the patio facing the street and great place to watch.. I had the Piper breakfast sandwich with ham.egg..smashed potatoes on a brioche bun..yum..and a great cup of coffee.. sandwich was just want my body needs to get my day in Oceanside started. Service was fast...server was attentive and made sure food and everything was good..this attached to the seabird hotel .looks like a nice place.

Alyssa H.

Yelp
I visited on a Thursday at noon for lunch. The lunch menu is very limited. There is one vegetarian option (hummus plate) and it seems more like an overpriced appetizer. The service was great and the interior is beautiful! The food was fine. Nothing extraordinary. There is an extra 6% surcharge added to every bill to cover the increase in minimum wage. I wish the restaurant would just raise their prices to cover their costs. It just seems sneaky of the restaurant to add an extra 6% surcharge with the final bill.
google avatar

Matt E.

Yelp
We went here out of convenience, and were happily surprised by the great service and good food. Definitely on the pricey side of things, but if you're looking for a nice quiet dinner it's a good spot.

Adam M.

Yelp
We had a daily breakfast credit and ate here all days of our stay. The inside of the restaurant is really comfortable and welcoming. Most of the dishes were solid; my son especially enjoyed the superfood (açaí) bowl. Poached eggs were overcooked the two times I ordered them. Without any credit the menu is expensive.

Yelp
In few words: Great food, slow service. Waited for a table, then waited quite awhile for server to come around. Waited a LONG time for our food but it was worth the wait (seriously). Food would be 5 stars and service would be 2.5 stars. My mom and I shared several dishes: -Scallop crudo in buttermilk sauce- tangy and fresh. -Spring pea soup with creme fraiche- this was my favorite! Texturally so interesting which is unusual for a pea soup. Outstanding flavor -catch of the day: salmon filet in a green curry mussel sauce with eggplant. This was SO GOOD. Skin on salmon was crispy, salmon was moist and cooked perfectly, the green curry mussel sauce was silky smooth and full of flavor. The mussels melted in our mouths. Eggplant was not over cooked. This is a dish I will dream about.

Yelp
The reviews for this restaurant don't do justice... the food in this place is on POINT! You can taste the quality ingredients with unique combination of flavors - everything we ordered was delicious. My husband, the kids, and myself cleaned every last drop of sauce on every plate. My only slight complain is that I wish it's a bigger portion- because we wanted more! We ordered - For apps- Yellowfin tuna with some pistachio sauce and octopus app. Then also the beet salad was very well flavored. For kids- they even devoured the fresh tomato marinara sauce ($10 - small portion) and the steak (for $22- we also wish there was more meat even for kids meal) For main- we shared the seabass. Would definitely come back to try the other dishes!

Yelp
This place is located inside of the hotel, walking distance to the Pier. The color scheme and design is very beautiful and appeasing to the eye. Our waiter was very pleasant BUT slow service. There were only a few other tables so I don't understand why it was taking longer than usual to even get our drinks. The food was good, although i did not like the rigatoni pasta- it was way too spicy. The ingredients did state it had a chile in it but no other sign or warning regarding how spicy it would be. I suggest adding the level of spice next to it. When we got our check, both pastas were still on the check and my soup was listed as $14 when on the menu it was listed at $12. The manager had to get involved and initially was going to just discount the food off...excuse me? I only ate a few pieces and sent it back. It should have been taken off completely. Anyway she did end up taking it off the check but the fact I had to ask and emphasize we did not eat it is crazy. Unfortunately i will not be going back due to the check situation and the reason I'm giving this place 3 stars.

Yelp
Updated to include some positives. This is my 10th time dining at piper. Came here for 2 dinners and then 2 breakfasts this trip. Recommend: Sea bass (light, moist and flavorful) Kids pasta (simple but delicious) Superfood açaí bowl Continental breakfast (good variety, kids loved the chocolate croissants, the orange juice is very fresh) Ok but not great: Kid's Chicken tenders (pretty standard) Focaccia starter (a little too greasy but good cheese dipping sauce) Rigatoni arrabiata (lacked spice) Oatmeal Chocolate chip cookie Blueberry and cranberry pie Do not recommend: Squid ink pasta- watery and lacked flavor Definitely recommend reservations. Service depends on how busy the restaurant is. We typically waited longer for service during breakfast. When we came early for dinner, service was excellent and the service was attentive to food sensitivities and went above and beyond to help accommodate.

Yelp
Half Buy Out - BEST experience My husband and I first tried Piper a couple of years ago because menu online looked good, and all the pictures of the ambiance looked really great, plus it's on the coast. The food was so good, and we were so impressed. It was extremely high quality for the prices. We visited a couple of more times and just loved it. So when it came time to plan a big birthday dinner, Piper was my first choice. We did a half restaurant buy-out. I worked with Monika and Allison for a few months to plan my party, and they were so accommodating. I was able to meet Monika on property and she was able to answer every question and went ABOVE AND BEYOND ALL expectations. I also worked with Alyssa a few times who was always very kind. Nate, the manager, was the best. We had met him at a previous visit, and he was so helpful, consistently asking my friends who were setting up the flowers what he could do, how he could help, and checked on us throughout the night. They accommodated all of our needs, gave the best service, the food was incredible as always and all of my friends (we had about 40) could not stop RAVING about the food and how nice everyone was. I'm telling you, their yellowfin tuna appetizer is SO good, people were drinking the sauce out of the bowls. I ordered the chicken, which I never order chicken from restaurants, but my goodness was it good. So juicy with a delicious sauce and big portion! I didn't get all the servers names, but Andreas was great, and Debonee, who wasn't our server this past weekend, but was the other times we visited, is so knowledgeable and kind. The host, who has been working every time we're there and wears a seersucker suit jacket, has also given us top notch service. Overall, simply incredible. Such a gorgeous space, Chef Chris knocks it out of the park every season with his menu. Even their coffees are fabulous, with an INSANE. espresso machine setup. We're locals and of course will go again and again. But if you're looking for an event dinner, Piper is fantastic!

Yelp
We dined at Piper this past Friday night (4/25) after checking into the Seabird resort that afternoon. While the food was good, the service left much to be desired. We were a party of 5, sat at 8pm, and our server was Peter. We ordered a few appetizers and the food was dropped at our table without share plates or utensils. The food runner said he'd go and grab them, but 10 minutes later he hadn't returned, and Peter hadn't checked on us. We had to flag the food runner down after another several minutes had passed to remind him that we still needed share plates and utensils before he finally brought them and we could begin our meal. When we ordered entrees we re-iterated that one of our guests was vegetarian (made known when we had placed appetizer orders), and asked if it was possible for one of the pasta dishes to be made vegetarian by having the meat element on the side (so I could eat it). He said yes and that it wouldn't be a problem. When the entrees arrived the sauce on the pasta looked like it might not be vegetarian, so before my friend took a bite we again asked Peter if the pasta was made vegetarian. He said yes, the meat was on the side. We asked what kind of sauce was on the pasta, and he said there was no meat in it, just the juices from cooking the meat. So clearly he doesn't understand the concept, which is alarming for any restaurant, but more so for a pricier one where you would expect the staff to be more knowledgeable about dietary preferences and allergies. We explained that she couldn't eat that and she ordered another vegetarian appetizer instead. He didn't acknowledge his mistake, didn't apologize, and didn't offer to comp the dish she could no longer eat. After our entrees we asked for a dessert menu, but after 15 or so minutes he still hadn't come to take our dessert order despite the restaurant having pretty much cleared out by this point. Needless to say we skipped dessert. I tried calling the resort today to discuss this event (and another bad experience at The Shore Room) with a beverage and hospitality manager. The person I spoke with initially was very kind and took my info down to pass on to Monica and assured me I would receive a call today, but Monica never called.

Yelp
I came here for a friends birthday brunch on a Sunday. I called ahead of time and made a reservation for the birthday adding notes of food allergies and something special for a birthday. When we arrived, we were seated in a cute table near the glass windows which I appreciated. Its a great spot to people watch, and the ambiance is top notch. The birthday girl opted to get the all you can eat buffet, and due to food allergies on my end, had to have the chef make a omelette off menu. Little did I know, that asking for a veggie omelet that was specific not to have peppers would cost me more than the brunch buffet. It didn't come with toast, and avocado was like $10 extra. Are you kidding me? Lesson learned, although the omelet was good, it was not worth $45.00+ i mean I am not eating at the RITZ Carlton. I treated my gf for her birthday, luckily we got 10% off locals which was about $7.00 but I wont be coming back here anytime soon. If i do, i will be making sure exactly what I am getting and how much its going to cost me. $100 for a brunch for 2 for me without alcohol or mimosas to me, is excessive. She had fun, and enjoyed her meal. That's all the matters. But, there are other options that would be better in quality and budget friendly. tip: they add a 6% extra to the tab for employees wages, etc. I don't like that. I already paid for tip, over paid for my omelette and now its another extra fee? On top of tip? beware. I feel cheated.

Yelp
This place was ok, but here are my problems with it: -Service was slow, and it was not busy. We ordered drinks and it was more than 10 minutes before we got them, which again, the place was empty at that time. This continued throughout the night. Overall we were there for 2 hours 20 minutes, which for a simple party of 4 felt too long for me. It wasn't because we were slow eaters, they were just inattentive at all points of the meal. -Nothing on the menu was calling to me. We ended up splitting the branzino for two, which was good, but I wish there was a carb (potato, rice, something!) with it. It was just fish and vegetables. Good for a low carb meal but it felt like it was missing something. -There was a 6% surcharge slipped onto the bill. I have been reading about restaurants doing this kind of stuff, and I find it unacceptable. Tell me up front and I think it would land a lot better, but I know these managers and owners know that most folks will not do the math and/or notice. This is BS! -We got a cookie to go. It was definitely a cookie out of one of those 20 packs you get at the Ralph's bakery. There is no way they made this cookie themselves. And it took forever (again), probably because they had to run out and buy a box from Ralph's. We will not be returning

Yelp
One of the highlights of staying at the Seabird. Breakfast at Piper was always on point. We always went early and never ran into issues with waiting for a table. Kid friendly with yummy food. They have a buffet of sorts on the weekends with lots of delicious options. My daughter stuck with the pancakes and side of fruit. Breakfast being mostly comped was also nice (being a guest of honor / globalist perks). I would still return even without it being comped.
