"Opened in 2008 on Clematis Street by Bordeaux native Thierry Beaud, this classic French bistro offers a taste of France with favorites such as French onion soup and steak frites, featuring a char-grilled 10-ounce New York strip served with fries. To complement the meal, the drinks menu includes the French beer Kronenbourg 1664, a pale lager that rounds out the authentic French dining experience." - J. Miller

Went after an especially cold morning. It was my first time. Decided to try it after receiving recommendations. And it did not disappoint. Not only did it exceed expectations, but it felt comfortable and luxurious. I've never had turkey that was so tender, and stuffing so custard like. The butter, which I thought was delicate French butter was actually one they made in house. I usually love to judge a place by how well they make dessert, and the pastry chef outdid themselves with the balance and depth of flavors in the delightful bread pudding. The staff were warm and attentive, and I thought it was priced fairly and I look forward to my next visit.

Each year during the holidays my dad and I go to Pistache. The food and atmosphere are always fantastic. However, this year stood out as one of our favorites, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Gordon and Dash. They were both personable, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

We had the most amazing time tonight at Pistache in WPB - mostly because of Scott who is the ultimate bartender and advisor - ask him about anything on the menu - he’ll offer you the best suggestions - particularly anything on the drink menu - he’s an extraordinary mixologist. You have to try his spin on all things Hemingway. Run don’t walk there - all of the staff are fabulous but Scott goes the extra 1000 miles to ensure the ultimate customer experience!! Thank you Scott - lastly, don’t miss their mussels. They are famous for them! 🙏

Pretty good. Been here once for dinner and had brunch this time. For a french restaurant it's fairly reasonably priced and the food is really good. Had the shrimp and grits which was excellent. Will definitely go back. The omelets looked amazing.

Google
We went on New Years which included a preset menu at $98/person and an included 20% gratuity. For $100 (before drinks) we expected premium food, atmosphere and service. The atmosphere definitely delivered, the service was wonderful, and the restaurant was nice on the inside. Unfortunately, the food was extremely disappointing. Our appetizers started out well as the truffle pasta was delicious and was a good portion for a personal appetizer. Our entrees are where it took a turn for the worst. The lamb shank was bland and dry, the steak was tough and cooked incorrectly 3 times, which we inevitably gave up on trying in the end. The salmon entree on the other hand was delicious. For $98 a person, this much room for disappointment in the variation of dishes is simply unacceptable. These critiques may seem like an overreaction to some but, we eat out quite often and we’ve found a lot better for a lot less in the same area. For dessert, we got chocolate cheesecake and the apple cake which were both good and no complaints. We never ask for anything to be comped as mistakes happen and it was a busy night but, there was very little emphasis to get our food items fixed and we ended up needing to cook dinner when we got home. Overall, I probably wouldn’t return again, especially for the value with the price but, maybe to try their original menu in the future.

Need a traditional French bistro? This is it. Enjoyed the happy hour menu escargot and mussels were yummy. Friendly patrons and staff. The couple next to me had profiteroles for dessert and that's my favorite too. Valet or street parking available. I would dine there often if in my South Palm Beach location.

Google
Unforgettable birthday dinner. The service the atmosphere and oh my, the food. We started up with cocktails, he had a Negroni and I had a vodka mule. We started off with the. Pate de Champagne. I highly recommend it… Paired with cornishon pickles, pickled onion, pear and apple chutney, with a hint of cinnamon, delicious purple mustard, Dijon, and whole-grain mustard as well, served with toast. The star of the show for me was the French onion soup with beautifully browned Gruyere cheese on top. Omg. He got the Coq Au Vim and I will tell you it fell off the bone. Amazingly everything paired beautifully with the wine we ordered thanks to my son-in-law, Madame Beaucaillou. I also had the three selection charcuterie with manchego cheese, brie cheese, and sopressata. Served with delicious once again, chutney, crusty toast, and accoutrements. Finally, the crème brûlée that was served for dessert was perfect. Sometimes the custard is too sweet, but this was perfectly rich and creamy with a crusted sugar topping and dots of fruit. If you have a special occasion for sure, go there for dinner, and they apparently have an excellent happy hour and lunch menu as well and we will be going back! Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful and casual dining experience. Fantastic classic menu, great service. Can’t beat the location, attention to detail or ambience. Bon appetit!

Yelp
Final. First time dining at Pistache. The ambiance was festive with the Christmas holiday approaching. Beautifully decorated especially outside. We had the escargot as a shared appetizer which I really wanted with bread to dip in the butter and garlic sauce. Unfortunately the escargot came out without bread. A random server delivered the escargot, mentioned bread, and walked off. Our server reappeared some minutes later and promised bread & butter as well. We waited. He disappeared for a while. Our escargot sat getting cold while we waited for bread for what felt like forever. We finally decided to start eating them. We ate 5 of the 6 snails before bread arrived - I had the last one with a pinch of warm bread. It was delicious! Of course we sopped up the garlic and butter from the empty holes with the warm bread. My main course was Mussels and Pomme frites. It was very generous amount of mussels but they lacked a good garlic or shallot or wine flavor - which in essence resulted in a bland sauce. Pomme frites were very crisp and tasty - reminded me of my time in Germany and France. My friend's salmon and vegetables grilled medium well was excellent. Glad he ordered it. We didn't have desert. We were satisfied. Overall the food is good. The ambiance is inviting and beautiful. Service was fair. Our server was okay. He needed to be more attentive initially until he knows we have everything, then back off. He was 'gone after he delivered our Rum Punch and took our order.

Yelp
I was the first guest to join the restaurant that evening. Shortly thereafter, a couple took a table adjacent to me. It was a pleasant, relaxed setting. Then, party number three arrived. #3 was upset upon entering. By their own admission, they dine here irregularly, but ALWAYS sit at "that" table. Clearly, with two tables occupied, either I or #2 were the oppressors. After expressing her concerns with the maitre'd, she reiterated her displeasure to the waiter, then the wait assistant. Clearly, she was intent on having a horrible time and wanted everyone around her to share in the horrors that have besot her life. The meal was good enough (high praise indeed) the space was pleasant and the staff was Herculean in their ability to soldier on despite the sour vibes. Wouldn't it be nice to bar sourpuss customers? Everyone else would have a much better evening.

Lili J.

Yelp
Hard to believe I never wrote a review for a place I dine at least 1x per week. On this particular evening, I had one of my favorite dishes, the Filet Au Poivre Pepper Crusted Beef Tenderloin with the Brandy Cream Sauce- out of this world- I crave this dish, you can get Mashed Potatoes which are light, buttery and in my eyes: perfect or Pomme Frites which Pistache has nailed - always hot, perfectly salted and fresh. I've gotten to know all the servers so of course I only have nice things to say about them. The ambience is typical French brasserie. It works morning noon or night. It's fun to sit outside and people watch or at the bar to watch sports. Other favorites of mine are the Roasted Beet Salad, Moules Frites, a Cheese Platter with St. Andre & Aged Cheddar, Quiche Lorraine (at Brunch) and for dessert I don't know the name but Chocolate Fudge-y with Ice Cream- decadent, you will appreciate it.

Yelp
The ambiance was pleasant, the staff friendly and attentive, and the food was great. Prices were reasonable. We enjoyed a glass of Bordeaux, a charcuterie board, and small plates of octopus, cauliflower, and salmon tartare. Everything was well-prepared and delicious.

Trina S.

Yelp
I have been going here since the establishment first opened. My favorite meal when I come is Steak and Frites. My meal was fine. However the temperature of the steak for my son was slightly over done. Our waiter was nice & the ambiance is always nice. Please make sure the steak temps are consistent.

Greg T.

Yelp
Classic-looking French bistro with chic decor and a spacious bar and seating area. Cocktails were excellent and very flavorful. We started with a few appetizers; the pate, octopus and beet salad. All were fantastic with everyone really enjoying the octopus. For an entree I had the steak tartare which came with grilled bread AND frites. It really only needed one as the portion was huge. It was perfectly prepared and was very flavorful. My only issue was that we were very rushed even after telling them to not bring anything too quickly. We were enjoying our cocktails along with the warm bread and had not even gotten the wine we requested when the apps came out. We then got the mains 10 minutes after that and then the waiter dropped the check and the dessert menu at the same time. Sorry, but at that point I'm not staying longer no matter how good the food is. If you're going to try and be a French-style restaurant then adopt the no-rush European mentality when it comes to dining.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant on Xmas eve 2024. Ordered the herb chicken. The order came out surprisingly fast. When I cut in to the chicken, it was still pink inside and obviously under cooked. I brought this to the attention of my waiter. He took the dish away and very quickly brought another plate. Again, it was under cooked! I showed him again the pink inside the chicken. He again took this plate away. While waiting for the third plate, the Argentinian manager came to the table, and rather than apologize, empathize or take any responsibility for the poor service, he said, " the cooks in the kitchen said both plates looked good under the light." Astonished at the lack of accountability, I seethed as I ate the third plate which wasn't much better. Honestly, I've had better chicken at Boston Market for a fraction of the price! So, before I left, I sought out this asshole and said, "This is not how you speak to and deal with your customers. I dont care what it looked like under a heat lamp, the chicken was under cooked and it sucked!" He then said defiantly he would take it off the bill. At which point I told him we already paid so don't bother and the real point was to tell him what an asshole he was. Fuck this place and the manager!

Yelp
Really nice French bistro in the heart of the Clematis Street restaurant area. Nice ambience inside and out with a great Paris feel. We came for coffees and dessert and both were very good. Really enjoyed the banana bread pudding with the cappuccino. Located right off the park. Super friendly service.

Yelp
A lovely experience, but it took a while for me to warm up to them. I went on a Sunday at noon but it was remarkably not crowded. I did not find the valet parking, it is apparently in front of the restaurant, not by any of their doors. My friend did find it and was able to use it. They validate the parking. I was greeted and seated immediately, but no one came to the table for over 10 minutes. I was going to order drinks for myself and my friend as I was there a few minutes earlier, and I assume they were waiting for everyone at the table to be there, but it would have been nice just to have somebody recognize that I was sitting down. By the time my friend came the lady came over and got us waters. She was very nice but didn't introduce herself so I don't know what her name was. We had delicious food and I will absolutely go back for more of it, but I just need to make sure to realize the service may not be that great. I was honestly hesitant about this place until I tasted their food. The shrimp and grits was the best thing I have ever had. We were able to order a drink and then I had to flag down the waitress for another one. Had they been more attentive, we would have spent a lot more money getting different appetizers and drinks. It was not very busy, there were lots of tables open inside and a few on their patio. I think they may have been understaffed. But the food was amazing! Maybe they were just being very French in their whole experience. It took us an hour (and 10 minutes) for one dish each. But the food!

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants. The duck confit is my favorite dish. I love everything about this restaurant. The service is always great. I have enjoyed every meal that I have had. This is usually my birthday dinner restaurant. My favorite time to go is on Thursdays. They have outdoor dining and clematis by night has live music.!

Yelp
Our party of 6 had a fantastic time. The onion soup was smooth. Venison, duck, scallops, peppered filet, all stunning. Exceptional service

Keith H.

Yelp
Excellently prepared food in French themed restaurant at the foot of Clematis road in downtown west palm beach. Easy parking in city multi stores around the corner. Outside dining possible but overlooking public toilets and some vagrant activity which is a pity. Beef nicely prepared and excellent onion soup. Fair wine choices and out of season plenty of space even on Friday night. Good service. AC a bit cold and the table candle blew out and had to be removed. After the starter they brought completely new set of cutlery. I like that. Would go again

Yelp
Dec 31st - my husband and I paid over $600 for a meal that it looked more like appetizers, the advisement included a bottle of champagne that never came to our table, we asked the server and he said he will ask permission because the champagne was for a toast at midnight and we were forced to buy additional drinks since we needed to wait 3 hours before we can have a glass of champagne ?? (ridiculous). We asked for bread a twice because the food that was served to us was not enough. The day before we tried calling the restaurant to get more information about this event before reserving and paying for it but they had me on hold for over 15 minutes, we decided to walk to the restaurant and the gentleman at the entrance told us that he was too busy to answer our questions and that he needed to go to the bar to make drinks. Totally Rude!! Unfortunately, we couldn't even cancel due to a $98 penalty pp. That was our first time and last at this place. Worthless!

Mark O.

Yelp
Pistache is a long time legend in WPB. Classic bistro food. If you come for happy hour, sit at the bar if you can. Paige the bartender will make you drinks without asking for something specific...just trust your bartender! It's a really nice place. You can sit inside or out. The ambiance is not pretentious but simple and chic. Enjoy!

Timothy K.

Yelp
Enjoyed business lunch yesterday at this very authentic French restaurant! Indoor and outdoor seating plus bar area! Food was delicious and decor classy. Due to current tooth extractions I choose the quiche that was exceptionally tasty! It came with French fries which looked wonderful. I'm told their onion soup is to live for! My colleague had the mahi fresh fish sandwich! Valet parking or garage parking options garage was $1 for 2 hours On weekends green market in front lots of festivities in area

Rachael O.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed our meal here as a family of 5, we had a reservation and were seated immediately. It was decorated really cute for christmas. We enjoyed lots of great appetizers, everything we had was delicious!!!! The selection of cheese we chose was a favorite- the truffle goat cheese was yummy but so were the others (can't remember names). The steak was cooked perfectly for a medium rare and was very tasty, I would order it again. Everyone in the group loved their meals! Service was good, our server was extremely friendly.

Yelp
This restaurant is located in a beautiful area in Palm Beach and has a great varied menu, all of the dishes were exceptional and the ambiance and service is what you'd expect in this neck of the woods, it's a place where you feel like they are all catering to make your experience the best that they can.

Yelp
We showed up here at 5 pm on a Sunday. We came here because I really wanted to try the Bronzino and this restaurant for so long. They show they have valet parking , we called and confirmed they have valet parking only to pull up in front to find no valet parking. We called back and since they restaurant is on a one way street in the busy Clematis street area we just parked and paid. Apparently the valet is on a other road at a corner of the restaurant. We parked at a self pay across the street for $18 for 2 hours. We walked in and we were handed an "afternoon" menu which did not have the Bronzino on it. We were told dinner starts in 30 minutes and we could order appetizer and then order from dinner. Most of the items that were the same were $2. Cheaper on afternoon menu than dinner menu. We asked to look at the dinner menu and the only Bronzino they have is for two people at $72. I've never had it and neither has my husband. So we ordered off of their afternoon menu. We started with escargot which was delicious. Their bread was also very good, but they serve it with cold butter, which makes it impossible to spread. My husband, ordered the New York strip rare and he said it was very sinewy. His frites (French fries) were good. I got the daily special of bolognese with rigatoni and it was a very large plate, very rich and was pretty good. We sat at a table right next to the bar. We heard somebody sit at the bar and was offered happy hour drinks. We had already ordered our food when we asked our waitress that happy hour was available at the table. She stated they were not. I went up to the bar to buy a drink as they are two for one for happy hour. They would not allow me to buy the happy hour drink at the bar. There are no mention of happy hour anywhere so if you don't know, you would not think to ask. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful. The food was just ok and not worth the pricing or the parking situation. We won't be back.

Yelp
Pistache French Bistro is an absolute culinary gem! From the delectable food to the exquisite drinks, every aspect of my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. While it may be on the pricier side, the quality and taste of the dishes make it worth every penny. The ambiance is charming, and the service is top-notch, adding to the overall fantastic dining experience. If you're looking to indulge in authentic French cuisine that's sure to tantalize your taste buds, Pistache French Bistro is the place to go!

Martine K.

Yelp
Juan was a great server. He helped us choose from the menu and drinks were brought out promptly. My Grey Goose L'orange Cosmo was perfectly made. The bread is wonderful and the only way it could have been better is if the butter were room temperature so it could spread easily. A pet peeve of mine. I started with the onion soup which has a nice layer of gruyere cheese. I really enjoyed it. My friends got the Cauliflower tagine which they loved, but the Mediterranean spices are not my thing. I split the Branzino and the guys got Steak frites which we all enjoyed. The broccolini side was great but the beans were disappointing in flavorand texture. We were all too full to try a dessert. Pricing is moderately expensive. I would like to come back and try their brunch.

Zoe C.

Yelp
Great French food. I went on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and it was empty. The menu is pretty limited for lunch. The prices are high, but the food is very good. The French Onion Soup was fantastic as well as the Mussels and Fries. The service was a bit slow.

Robert P.

Yelp
I took my wife here for her birthday. Good food, drinks. Our server was little dry, i would expect at least complimentary scoop of ice cream given the occasion.

Kim B.

Yelp
Well I guess the first red flag came when the waiter told us the entrees were buy one get one free. Next red flag was the entree that was supposed to be muscles. They tasted more like 5 day old bait. The third red flag was the "coq au vin"....my first time having that dish with mole sauce. Interesting. In. A. Bad. Way. 4th red flag the price tag of $274. lol. I literally ate one fishy disgusting muscle and a bite of mole smothered coq au vin. Service was basic. Nothing that warranted a glowing tip. I guess this is what happens when South Americans decide they want to cook French cuisine? Anyone who has had the ummm "pleasure?" of traveling to S.A. will understand that statement immediately. But at least the drinks were passable. Oh well, join the club....just another garbage restaurant in flacid dick capital of the USA.

Linda L.

Yelp
Probably one of the best French meals I've had in South Florida. Everything was amazing and came at the right temperature with great plating. A good experience from our first cocktails to our dessert! The service was really attentive. My London Calling cocktail was sweet and fruity. The menu had so many options. We started with a fomage plate with sopressetta fiore, duck prosciutto and pate de campagne. Each one was delicious. The duck was so unique and unlike any prosciutto I've ever had. The pate was rich and creamy. The sopressetta had a nice kick and garlicky punch. All the pickles, apples and grapes really complimented the meats. The burgundy Escargot was perfectly cooked with lots of garlic butter to dip bread in after you took out the clean and flavorful morsel out. The French onion soup had a lot of onions with just the right amount of layered bread and cheese. Then our entrees came out and my husband and I both loved our choices. My Hudson Valley duck breast was a huge portion. Tender juicy meat with sweet kabocha squash puree and the best caramelized Brussel sprouts I've ever had. My husband's beef bourguignon was super rich and beefy. Also came in a hefty portion. We had to end on a nice sweet note so we got the apple cake to share and it was delightful. Hot with cold and soft with crunchy, this was the perfect way to end the evening.

Robert B.

Yelp
Very nice place with outdoor seating in the heart of WPB off Clematis. Food and service were great, I went for brunch and met a friend. Upscale ish but not pretentious.

Rose P.

Yelp
We have eaten lunch here on Saturdays, sitting outside on the porch. The service is excellent. The selections are good, but in my opinion there's always room for one or two more. I like Pistache very much and will dine there again.

Christian P.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in WPB- not even a question. I even like it more than many on the island. The escargots are tender perfection. The boeuf bourguignon is a plate of heaven. I've never had a meal here that didn't make me melt and I sop and scrape up every last bit of everything I've been served and wish for more. Our servers have always been professional and, as a single malt fanatic, I appreciate that I don't have to spell Laphroiag or physically point to the bottle behind the bar. They know their business. The management is fantastic and will always come by at least once during the meal to check in. But enough of my gushing. Go read the negative reviews from entitled Karens complaining about parking, or not getting the seat they really wanted. The vegan tofu turfgrass sandwich they're obliged to offer Americans at the FRENCH restaurant didn't have enough alfalfa? You needed salt for your snails? The professional French server seemed cold when you copped attitude about happy hour? Stop it, please.

Kyme R.

Yelp
I made a last minute reservation the day before for my husband's birthday. I was glad there was availability. I'm not sure if a reservation is usually needed. Atmosphere - Walked in at 7:15 and immediately I was overwhelmed with the temperature inside. It was hot! Uncomfortably hot. I was fanning myself with the menu. My husband asked if there was something available outside and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait. We decided to stay since we had an event at 9:00 pm. Once the sun went down so did the temperature. Food - Onion soup and Octopus (other than slightly over acidic) were delicious. I would order both again. Beef Bourguignon was cooked to perfection. Dessert - Profiteroles was the perfect end to dinner. Drink - Pear Martini - It was good but not $17 good. Service - I forgot the servers name but she was friendly and good though she really didn't have any recommendations or guidance for the menu. Surprising the only negative was the service was too quick. Our entree can in less than five minutes of our appetizers. We hadn't even tried the soup when it arrived because it was still too hot. She did kindly offer to have it returned when she saw it had come out but we kept it and was still hot and good when it was time to eat.

Louis D.

Yelp
Big unnecessary fail! Saw their BOGO ad on their website said to the wife let's get something to eat there. Waitress says it doesn't start till next week. OK so I go to the manager and show him the ad....it says nothing about next week and I explain that's the reason we chose this place which we had been going to for years btw. He says it doesn't start till tomorrow. No apology very matter of fact and very odd for the hospitality business in my experience. Does he send over a drink, nope, does he comp the dessert, nope. Not going back...plenty of other choices so we'll go to La Goulue in the future. Weird that the waitress is looking over my shoulder as I pay the bill probably thinking I was going to stiff her on the tip? And the food is pretty average.

Harriet M.

Yelp
We pass this place many times on our way to to theather I've never had the opportunity to have dinner so when I had the opportunity for lunch that looked like a place I would like to try something new this was it I am really glad I had the opportunity to eat there. We ate on the patio which is lovely. It's overlooking their park area. The service was very good. I had a salad with tuna on it. It was can tuna ( would have given us a five star review if the tuna was not canned, ) but very good. The shrimp roll was excellent. The french fries were delicious. Salads range from $17 up pricey Indoor outdoor dining. It's an easy walk back to Brightline and to the Square. Make reservations, eve

Quan D.

Yelp
This was quite a delightful restaurant located near the hotel we were staying at. They have a nice indoor as well as outdoor dining area but we chose to dine indoor. We went early around 5:30pm so it was not too busy which was perfect. We started with a salmon tartare and it was delicious. I loved the taro chips it came with and it was the star place of the evening for me at least. I ordered the duck breast and was very excited to have it but sadly, it fell short. It was dry. My husband got the filet with fries and it was cooked very nicely. The complimentary bread with butter was delicious. They have a good wine selection and we ordered a bottle of sparkling rose (Gerard Bertrand), which was excellent. The service was very good considering how a lot of restaurants are having a hard time with having enough staff. Looking forward to coming here again the next time we are in WPB.

Kat T.

Yelp
This is a sister restaurant to PB Catch in West Palm Beach. Excellent service and good food. It can get a little loud but then at least you know everyone is having a good time. Ordered Chicken breast, beef bourginone and roasted cauliflower.

Monica A.

Yelp
Pistache didn't live up to the hype that I had hoped for. French cuisine is my FAVORITE and everytime I would walk past it I wanted to go in! Very pretentious restaurant and our server, Ivan, was rude, didn't pay any attention to us or offer specials. To start, I asked for a dirty martini with no vermouth, but there was def vermouth in it, which I let slide and drank it. Then we asked for 2 appetizers, foie gras and mussels. (Something to note is their current menu online says Foie Gras is $36, but at restaurant menu says $42 which I hadn't noticed until after the fact). Anyway, we asked for 1 main dish of steak Frittes (we split) to come out a while after the appetizers, but it showed up within minutes of them. When Ivan noticed he came over, because he could probably see my disdain, and he asked if we wanted it taken back, which after some back and forth banter we said we did. In the interim, I had also asked if I could order a side of bone marrow butter for my meal (I would pay ofcourse) but he told me twice that the chef "wouldn't allow that". UM, what? I asked if he would ask for me please, and I'm STILL waiting for that answer, as he never gave it to me. I don't understand why I couldn't get a side of BUTTER that I was willing to pay for! He did not offer to look at a dessert menu and when I told him I had a gift card to apply to the check and showed him he just took my phone and walked away (it was in the form of a text), rolling his eyes like it was an inconvenience. His personality is definitely better suited for Dick's Last Resort, not what is supposed to be a nice restaurant. The food was ok, but NOT $200+ ok. Unfortunately, I didn't take a pictures but there was barely anything there to take a picture of anyway, except for the mound of fries that came with the steak. Cool atmosphere though but not cool enough to bring me back to this place. Find another French restaurant.

Sarah G.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best food I have ever tasted. We started with an entrée of mussels to share amongst the four of us. The mussels were incredibly fresh and not fishy tasting at all. They were swimming in a delicious buttery broth, which I soaked up with some of the bread. The Moules-frites and the sweet bread and butter were a decadent treat to start off the meal, so we knew we were in for something good when our mains came. I ordered the duck, which was beautifully crisped and paired with a smooth orange sauce. The green beans were delicious, and so was the pilaf, but I was so stuffed by this point I didn't get to enjoy much of it. The vibe of the restaurant is French provincial with modern touches. The decoration is inviting and so is the staff. Our waitress was happy to share her favorites on the menu. Our only complaint is how loud it is. Even with the restaurant at maybe 60% capacity, it was hard to hear what my partner was saying while sitting across the table from me.

Yelp
On a recommendation from our airbnb host, we headed over for a late dinner. It was a nice selection on the menu but my eyes went right to lamb Shank for two...our waiter also suggested it. Sooooo good! We have pate for an app, but what I'll always remember is the delicious entree. MUST HAVE. Romantic, nice ambiance in a lively part of the city.

Yelp
Reviewing a restaurant on a special occasion, when they offer only a limited price fixed menu may not be the best timing, but here goes: We dined at Pistache for Valentines Day. The onion soup was good - great body, plenty of onions and the crouton and cheese crust were great. I suspect that they put too much sugar in when they caramelized the onions - understandable if making mass quantities. The escargot were perfectly cooked - nice and tender. There was a bit too much seasoning (I think tarragon) for my personal taste but we still enjoyed it. The duck confit with lentils was quite tasty - the lentils perfectly seasoned and flavorful. It was quite a large portion and enjoyable. The only dish that was not good was the boeuf bourguignon. Instead of using a beef for stew, they appeared to use short rib instead. It gave the beef a strange and unpleasant texture and flavor. That's a shame, since the pearl onions and mushrooms in sauce were excellent. Our deserts were refreshing. Although there were relatively few wines by the glass, we had an excellent cabernet at a reasonable price. Had we wanted a bottle there was a really nice selection. We did have a really nice dinner; Pistache is attractive and comfortable. Our server (really slammed because of the crowd) was pleasant and helpful.

Yelp
We visited Pistache for their endless rosé brunch. We were seated immediately at a great table, it was quiet and chic inside. The service and the food were outstanding. Our server Alexis was very accommodating (taking a few group photos of us) and letting just half the table do the rosè brunch and the other half order a carafe of mimosas. The rosè was from Provence so it was really tasty and my glass was never empty. I was disappointed to see the steak frites wasn't on the brunch menu and was trying to butcher the steak and eggs into an approximation of it when Alexis let me know they're happy to offer steak frites off menu. It was so delicious - be sure to ask for a side of the garlic aoili with the fries! Very garlicky and dense. Everyone in my group was happy with their food. 10/10 would make a point to visit next time I'm in West Palm.

Yelp
After a concert at the Norton, my friend and I went to Pistache for dinner. We arrived at 4:50. The young man who was, for all intents and purposes, the Maitra de, told us dinner was at 5. Strangely, the website states 4:30. It went downhill from here. We were seated, and I ordered the French onion soup. It came out lukewarm. When I told the waiter it was not hot, he looked shocked, as if I was telling a fib. When my friend got her steak, it was okay. It looked like it was picked up at Publix. What was strange was the cold, hard puck of herbed butter--not some creamy dab--nope, a hard disc. I got the croque monsieur. The ham was only on one side; there was maybe a thimble of mustard, and if there was Béchamel, it was hiding like an outlaw. We each had a dumpster of fries on our plates (clearly, they were frozen at some point between Idaho and West Palm) and a ramekin of ketchup. There was no salt or pepper, no placemats, and our table was dirty. Avoid this place. It is all show and no substance.

Yelp
Yes, food was delicious and the ambience fabulous. HOWEVER, the prices on the menu were not the same as what we were charged!!! Each item was increased anywhere from 20 -30% !!!!!! Plus, they charged for bread that we didn't even ask for. When I reached out to the manager his explanation was ........during the Boat Show our prices are higher. Of course, that is their prerogative HOWEVER POST THE NEW PRICES ON THE MENU!!!! I am not sure if this is legal. At the very least it is unethical.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. Great food and service. Very surprising experience in kind of a touristy area. Seemed to be frequented by locals. Food was very French.

Yelp
Inflexible and pretentious My sister had booked this place - I had called ahead to ask if they can accommodate dairy allergies since some French restaurants cannot. They promised they could. Let's say they barely put up with my limited diet - we would have gone elsewhere had we known. Very few options (especially if you don't really want tuna from a can) and no alternative to the bread. It's ok if bread has milk, but similar places will bring out some olives, crudite or something to nosh on instead. They had nothing. Unapologetic. Waiter was nice but his hands were tied If you can't serve someone well, just say so. Plenty of other options out there.

Yelp
A very embarrassing experience which no loyal customer should endure. Please read below There are many better restaurants in the palm beach area that are understanding, compassionate where the food much better.

Yelp
My only negative comment about Pistache is that they took a few of my favorite menu items off of the dinner menu. Aside from that I love the place. My 2 favorite items were the chicken paillard and a broccolini app. Now they are nowhere to be found on the dinner menu. However, such is life and I have adapted and moved on to other items. I recently came for happy hour and was really surprised at what a great deal it was. Bogo drinks. I bought 2 martinis for 14 bucks. With 8.3% inflation that's a fantastic deal. Especially because they were well made. I also had a cheese plate with apple chutney. I don't really know anything about cheese or chutney but both were great. The shocker for me was that I was with my brother's dog. I was planning on sitting outside but the restaurant said Ozzie, the dog, was more the welcome inside. He throughly enjoyed his water.

Yelp
What generally should be a home run French restaurant is more of a see-saw. Some days, it's a five. Some days, it's a one. One onion soup is perfect. Another visit you can watch the Morton Salt girl tap dancing with her umbrella, like Gene Kelly, across the salt flats on the desecrated onion marsh. Country pâté, and mussels, are solid winners. The Steak Frites moved to a cut so cheap and tough that you might want to bring your chainsaw to cut it. Pretty place. Right by the park. Service is generally very good. Management, to deal with the kitchen? Horrible. Parking is tough, although there is a nearby valet, daytime. Can thrill ya. If you have hypertension, or bad teeth, might kill ya.

Yelp
I was really looking forwarding to dining here as the patio is really nice and overlooking a square with green space that holds events. The atmosphere was good and the patio was shaded, which was great. My guest ordered the smoked salmon platter. She found it a little hard to eat because the pieces of bread were thick. It also came with 3 pieces of bread and 4 pieces of salmon. It might be better if it was an even ratio. I got the vegan burger and it came with fries. There was a little mix up and I got the veggie sandwich instead. The waiter quickly corrected it. The burger was good, but it might have been much better if there was something like a pickle to give it a little more pizzazz. Fries were great.
