"Pitango Gelato & Coffee quietly pulled up to the Wharf this week (with a grand opening scheduled for May 1). Situated at the foot of the snazzy Amaris condo building, Pitango’s seventh area store scoops its luscious lineup of gelatos (and sorbets) made with everything from Italian nuts to single-origin chocolates. Flavor drops for spring include include pistachio gelato featuring fragrant saffron from Afghanistan, another with homemade sour cherry syrup, and a zingy turmeric-ginger sorbet. The pint-sized space also carves out room for a pastry counter, Vigilante espresso and coffee drinks, and a grab-and-go retail stand." - Tierney Plumb

A local gelato shop, this location is the newer end of the Wharf near Politics & Prose. It’s a small shop with standing room only and a few outdoor seats. The staff are helpful and let you try as many flavors as you want. The small cup gets you two flavors v. the large which gets you three. I ordered the walnut gelato and the crema one- a winning pair!

They have very delicious very intense flavored gelato. Each flavour packs a punch and is really unique. I got the margarita and mango flavors. Like all places on the wharf this place is pretty pricey my bill added up for the small cup that I got, and they don't take cash either.

Good quality ice cream at the wharf - I liked the fruity sorbets most - some tables to sit outside - great stop by when enjoying the Wharf

We went for the Gelato and the Affogato. They are delicious albeit slightly pricey. The affogato espresso plus dark chocolate Gelato is fantastic!

Had the pistachio Gelato and it was creamy, good flavor, and nice texture. I was missing the crunch of pistachio. Will come back and try other flavors for sure.

The gelato was ok. The dark chocolate one was bussin. Made me feel so alpha sigma. The only problem was that the moment I stepped outside, it melted. Making a mess on my phone. -20k aura. Service - very nice about free samples. Could always put more ice cream on my cup…. Minus 1 aura.

Excited to see Pitango open up at the Wharf— stopped by to grab some gelato. Ended up choosing half lemon sorbet and half raspberry. It was SCRUMPTIOUS. Super light and fresh and flavorful. I’ll be back to continue trying flavors and their coffee.
