And the service was below normal, he just sorry we don’t have it would you like something else on the menu, no I want what I paid for or fix the price. The food ok, I really love this place. Let’s hope next time is better.

Utterly disappointing! Ordered 2 Broasted Perch sandwiches, they were horrible. Definitely didn’t taste like perch and the fish was so thin I thought I was eating a salad sandwich. It was most certainly a decline in what I’ve purchased in the past. Went out on a limb and got the days special Rib Bones and they were dry as bones. Don’t know if I’ll ever go back. Highly disappointed! Oh yeah, not to mention the warm coleslaw!

Wow! Ladies and gentlemen, you have to be Houdini to find this place. Thank God I had one next to me. It was in our backyard and we had no idea. We accidentally ran into it. Boy, are you in for a surprise. This place looks like Ripley’s Believe It Or Not but the food is incredible. We ordered the Austin Brisket Sandwich and the Broasted Perch Sandwich along with the baked beans and the Mason Dixon fried okra as additional sides. It was incredible. The brisket melts in your mouth. Fried okra I love you. The baked beans with morsels of pork and bacon made me speechless. The tarter sauce and cole slaw were fabulous and the mother-in-law slaw had the wickedness of my former mother-in-law. I have never seen fries like the Texas Sidewinders. Crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. When I opened my box, the sidewinders portion was so generous I thought I was about to be surrounded by Turkish dervishes. So I had to immediately start consuming them before they started twirling around me. Folks, the hole-in-the wall ambiance might scare you as you enter. But, please be brave and take that extra step. You won’t regret it. The young man who took our order and the rest of his crew worked well together, like a fine Swiss watch. Thank you Houdini for not making it impossible to find one of the finest bbq joints in town.

Ordered through Uber Eats 90 minutes before closing time. Restaurant never fulfilled order, then closed. Really bad service, Uber should drop them. Food is best for dogs anyway.

Brisket bbq sandwich was meaty and juicy. The sesame seed bun was perfectly crisped at the edges and the complimentary cole slaw and bbq sauce were very nicely seasoned. I recommend you try this place for lunch or dinner when you want delicious meat sandwiches and platters! I didn’t have room for the gorgeous key lime pie in the case but I will be back for it and will update the review! I expect everything to be as delicious as it looks here. Ps, the girl working the carryout counter was friendly and efficient, and more than earned her tip by her smile and her knowledge.

Have ordered this meal several times. Epic fail this time. Burnt ends are so salty, impossible to eat and I love salty food! The ST Louis ribs are a soft, grey slab of meat. No seasoning and no color. So disappointed. I called the restaurant, fellow apologized, said they will do better which does not help me. Biscuits and side are delish. Pictures of what is featured on the web-site and the grey thing is what I received.

Take out place only. Great delicious meats. Sometimes they forget to include a side. Some items require 2 hour lead time. You can buy sodas the or water when picking up. Alley has 2 spots parking for pick up.
