Seriously !!! This is a non profit program run by the Township to connect local community and farmers / growers. How could any one rate this less than 5 stars ! Its well managed and well organized. You may not see a whole lot options like a grocery shop but there are lot of options. From the day it started years ago to date more and more growers are participating in this local event. Ample parking , easy access from Northbound Platt or Eastbound Michigan Ave.

What a fun market with such friendly people! It's not too big to be overwhelming, nor is it too small that you wouldn't find a variety of delishie goodies. This helps to support small businesses/farms while shopping local. There's fun finds to be had! When Thursday hits, c'mon out !

They don't take the double up food buck card yet so I was bummed but they were really nice who gave me my order that I ordered online. I did not walk about to see the vendors. And I learned that you cannot get gourds on your EBT card and I thought they were edible bumm er live and learn

Yelp
This farmers market is open as an indoor market once per month in the off-season. I visited this small but mighty market for the first time in March, and I was impressed by the variety of vendors and products. The indoor market is also at Pittsfield Township Hall, but the indoor market is set up inside, in Morris Hall. There was a chef demonstration giving away samples (apple pancakes and kale/blueberry smoothies) in the lobby when I entered. In the actual market, there were about a dozen vendors offering fresh produce and prepared goods. Especially since it was early March, I was impressed with the variety of fresh fruits and veggies - including beets, carrots, swiss chard, garlic, spinach, apples, onions, frozen blueberries. Eggs, honey, cupcakes, kettle corn, bread, and pie were also available. There was even a vendor selling fresh pasta. Two vendors also sold homemade products - cutting boards and organic lotion and bath bombs, etc. Many offered yummy samples- including cheese and kettle corn. In addition to the vendors, there was a craft table and an entertainer making balloon animals. A number of kids were singing with a guitarist as well. The market felt lively and active, but not overcrowded, and it was not difficult to shop even with all this happening. I can't wait to come back for the outdoor markets!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my visit to this farmers market. There was a lot of fresh produce, honey (including local honey from someone's backyard), scented soy vegan candles, an instrument "petting zoo" (you could try out instruments yourself), and nut butters. One or two of the vendors didn't take cards, but the rest of them did. I don't carry cash, so I couldn't buy anything from the ones who didn't accept cards. I would recommend they get SquareSpace and set a minimum amount for people to be able to charge. I hope to come back to this market again!

Yelp
I had known about this Thursday afternoon (3:00~7:00 pm) farmers market near the Pittsfield Township Hall for quite a while, but did I actually get there while they were open? Not until yesterday. There are about two dozen booths. There was a food truck! A couple vendors had fresh produce, including heirloom garlic bulbs & scapes. I was hoping for more produce sellers, but as interest increases, that'll happen, right? You might not be able to get a week's worth of fruits & veggies here but they have a lot of good stuff. The rest of the booths had relatively more shelf-stable wares such as fresh salsa, baked goods, dairy products, honey, spices & candles. Leslie Science Center had a booth. A woman had brought the screech owl that has been rehabbed but cannot be released back into the wild. Nice to see that little guy close up. Definitely worth a stop on the way home from work!

Yelp
It was a lovely Thursday evening. I took the opportunity to stroll the Pittsfield township Farmers Market. All the vendors I visited were warm and welcoming. My visit to Celtic Dairy was very productive. The goats milk shampoo was a great find for me. My youngest son is growing out his hair (silly kid) and doesn't realize that he need to have oil in it. Finding out that the CD shampoo has three kinds of essential oils in it and perfect for what he needs. He can just shampoo and not worry about the extra step of parting his hair and putting oil on the scalp.....Mom's like me, you know what I am talking about. Next I visited the Jar Head Salsa booth and tasted the most refreshing mile salsa ever. I purchased a container and of course I had to have the Jar Head chips. My husband loves snacking and this is one that he can just go to the fridge and grab and I don't have to worry that he is not eating right. Then there was this lovely both of Garlic stems from Michigan Garlic Farm. The owner told me the story of how he decided to grow garlic instead of Lilly's because of the cost . I learned that both Lilly's and garlic are in the same plant family and was able to take home some very tasty garlic stems for my daughter. She loves to travel and eat and is a very good cook so these will be a good addition to her kitchen. Then last but not least, I love to grill and the best part of grilling is the seasoning. So I was able to stop by two vendors Grace's Savory Sweets and Spicy Mikes Hand Crafted Seasonings where I was able to buy a variety of seasoning including some curry that will be making its home on a choice piece of lamb as soon as I get home. Thanks Pittsfield Farmers Market for making my Thursday a very enjoyable and tasty one.
