29 SF Coffee Shops For Getting Work Done - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Pixlcat in SoMa is what every laptop-wielder dreams about. They have a reliable wifi network, plenty of caffeinated drinks that aren’t just drip, and—most importantly—there’s always a free seat. And when food becomes necessary, try any of the butter mochi or the breakfast sandwich." - lani conway, julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong

The 20 Best Breakfast Sandwiches in SF - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Pixlcat's breakfast sandwich is unapologetically rich, with a Kewpie-slathered pan di mie bun holding together a mega layer of eggs and melted american cheese, and a smear of avocado and strips of bacon. It’s the kind of sandwich that stays with you for a while, but at this quiet SoMa spot, there’s plenty of space to sprawl out and digest—or do some half-hearted work before you nod off." - patrick wong, julia chen 1

Pixlcat is perfect for quiet work time and light snacks - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Coffee shops that double as coworking spaces are everywhere in SF, but Pixlcat in SoMa stands out. It has reliable wifi, solid caffeinated drinks and snacks, and a couple of spare outlets—but it’s also one of the quietest cafes you’ll find. No one dares to even utter the word “Zoom.” With long communal tables and a windowside bar, you likely won’t ever need to jostle for space. But Pixlcat is worth a visit for people who aren’t lugging around a MacBook, too. The black sesame dopo panna is a must, especially with a classic butter mochi. And if you need more of a meal, get the breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon, and a swipe of Kewpie mayo on a fluffy pan di mie bun. You can also find Pixlcat with their mochi and coffee at the Ferry Building every Saturday." - Patrick Wong

Google
I got the iced strawberry matcha latte and it was good. While the drinks are good, the main appeal of this place for me is the environment. We’re so lucky in the Bay Area to have many great matcha and coffee places but this cafe is uniquely spacious, cozy, and cute. I would come back here to get a nice drink and also enjoy being in a nice, quiet place. I’m not sure if it’s always so quiet but I went around closing time and it was pretty quiet despite there being a fair amount of people there. There’s also interesting tiger syrup that you can add to drinks, which you can’t find many other places.

Google
super cute spot! I will be returning!! I love their drink menu and want to try more of their butter mochi

Google
Was excited to visit this place. It was a Tuesday morning around 9am. There was no line, so we thought we could enjoy our coffee via dine-in. There was only one barista, and based on some of the advertisement, it appears they prioritize mobile orders vs. dining in. A group of 6 people came in waiting on a mobile order that must have been placed around the same time we arrived. It took at least 20 minutes to get our drinks. We tried the Ube Panna Latte, Cortado and Ube White Chocolate Pixlcat Butter Mochi. I could barely taste the ube flavor in the latte, but the mochi was pretty good. Maybe we visited at a bad time, but I did not enjoy my experience. If you decide to try to this place, I'd recommend ordering ahead of time.

Google
I tried this place based on a video from an instagram video. The coffee was below average and the mochi dessert is good to try for first time. Nothing too crazy as per my experience.

Google
This unassuming little cafe makes very good coffee. The service is great and the atmosphere is cozy and casual. It's pretty quiet over the weekends, since it's catered to the downtown office workers. Besides coffee, they also have lots of very good drinks.

Google
I really wanted to like it here. Music is awesome, butter mochi are excellent, coffee and service not so much.

Google
This is one of the best fancy coffee I ever had. & It's really inexpensive. Love all the vibe and the spacey space. Super friendly staff. Love the dessert as well. Everything is amazing here.

Google
My favorite of the two locations! Extremely lovely baristas providing quick and friendly service. Espresso is always expertly dialed!! This is a great place to stop in and do some work, a hidden gem in downtown.

Yelp
At 7am outside of SF, I was thinking back to this spot in SoMa. Ever wanted boba early in the morning? well I have numerous times and finally found a spot. Pixlcat coffee opens at 7am and serves the earliest boba ever! Solid amount of seating indoors and fairly cozy. They don't specialize in boba, obviously, given the name but it satisfies any cravings early. Great coffee and specialty options, plus butter mochi as well! the mochi was light, fluffy, and chewy with a crispy finish which pairs fantastically with their drinks. I can't say the boba was fantastic or anything, but I'm also keeping in mind that I visited around opening, so it's possible the boba is better later. It was chewy and cooked well, but no marination so pretty flavorless. The tea I had was light, but present. Overall a calming wake up call.

Yelp
Place is aesthetic and has plenty of seats. Matcha tasted more like almond milk, did not have a strong matcha taste and had lots of ice. Pretty small too for its price. Mochi flight is ok. I can taste black sesame, but matcha and Ube was very light in taste. Kind of firm. Not sure if you can ask them to be warmed up, but maybe that'll enhance the flavors more. Service was eh, wasn't welcomed in nor had a smile on their face. Asked to take a look at the mochi, and worker grabbed the container from the back counter and kind of slammed it on the front counter then opened the lid, also not gently. Place is pretty quiet so the noise definitely startled us.

Yelp
I judge everything I eat and drink based on 3 things. Affordability, taste/uniqueness and would I return? I got the iced ube latte (no customization) for $7.14. It's San Francisco. I've accepted that a lot of things aren't affordable, coffee especially. However $7 for a rather small size coffee? I can't justify it. As someone else previously mentioned, it doesn't really taste like ube. There is an overwhelming amount of milk and topping (white chocolate) that overpowers the coffee flavor and the ube. Tip: If you get this, MIX WELL! If you don't, you'll get a straight up shot of espresso in your mouth. Would I return? I've gotten the same drink once before a few months ago. It was a little sweeter the first time and had a unique flavor. I was still unhappy about the price and the quantity of the coffee but I decided to get another one today to really confirm if this is a good go-to spot. Today, I confirm it isn't. The coffee seems to be a hit or miss depending on who is making it. The place itself is very spacious and the workers are nice--it's just personally not my favorite.

Yelp
Had the chance to try out Pixlcat's butter mochi muffins at the Ferry Building farmer's market on Saturday-of the two flavors we tried, the classic butter mochi muffin was the favorite! Friendly service and would absolutely look forward to visiting one of Pixlcat's locations in the future.

Yelp
===TL;DR=== - Vanilla iced dopo panna latte with oat milk ===TMI=== Cute and pastel vibes in there. Love a little small cup of joe. Strong coffee taste, very enjoyable. Love the little pixal art decors all around. The table reminds me of art deco era. Come here to chill and relax.

Yelp
I ordered the iced ube latte. It unfortunately does not taste like Ube, but it did taste good. Taking off a star due to its high price. Not sure I would return, but I wasn't mad at it. Cutest cat logo

Yelp
These look like cornbread muffins and kinda taste buttery like them, but a lot chewier. Looks small but is quite rich. Appreciate the diverse palate of flavors. Ube Butter Mochi: Loved how brightly purple this was, especially after biting into it. It was buttery and chewy and sweet. Slight ube flavor. Liked the sweet glaze drizzle on top. Breakfast Butter Mochi: The top part that was crusted with cheddar and had a lot of bacon bits was quite nice. The mochi seemed a bit too sweet, so it kinda clashed with all that savory stuff. Liked the texture though. Matcha Butter Mochi: The matcha taste isn't too strong. Subtle and the buttery goodness dominates. Black Sesame Butter Mochi: Definitely got a strong sesame taste. Though no runny tahini texture, all nice chewy mochi. This unique flavor may be my favorite. Chocolate Butter Mochi: The chocolate chips on top were chocolatey, but the rest of it wasn't so much. I guess I was expecting chocolate overload. All the other flavors seemed much more intense. Classic Butter Mochi: After trying all the flavors, I finally tried the original. Reminded me of a chewy pound cake. Nice pairing with coffee. Though I think the more exotic flavors were a better choice.

Yelp
Unique selection of coffee drinks, service is super friendly, and now they offer more food options. Have tried their honeycomb dopo panna latte, strawberry dopo panna latte, various flavor butter mochis (matcha, ube, chocolate, bacon cheddar). Their dopo panna lattes, which are lattes with added whipped cream, are not overly sweet and the cream they use tastes fresh made. I enjoyed how the strawberry in the strawberry dopo panna latte tasted fresh as well, as it was slightly sweet & slightly tart. I especially love their MATCHA butter mochi which is not overly sweet & super moist. The savory bacon cheddar mochi was not bad but require some taste-acuiring. All the flavors were moist, with the exception of the chocolate one which as a fellow yelper mentioned was on the drier side but I still enjoyed it & didn't mind the more cakey texture. Been a few times, once 10 min before closing but server took the time to prepare my drinks past closing (2:30pm) & still provided friendly service.

Yelp
Really awesome spot! Super spacious cafe, actually one of the largest I've been to in SF. It's not too crowded on weekdays, has free WiFi, but just doesn't have many outlets, which makes it hard to work here for too long. Overall, still really spacious and comfortable. I got the honeycomb latte. I asked them to reduce the sweetness, which they did by just reducing the amount of syrup they added. Overall, it was really good. Milk was frothed perfectly, which lended a really good mouth feel. The sweetness was perfect when cut in half, and the honey left a nice aroma. We also got a Iced Strawberry Dopo Panna Latte, and this wasn't as good. The strawberry adds a strange acidity that tastes like the coffee is way too sour, and the dollop of cream doesn't mix well with the drink. Overall, really solid spot to get some work done and enjoy a nice latte!

Yelp
Such a cute establishment!! I came here to read for a couple hours on a Saturday morning and it was the best vibes. FOOD [5/5] ========= + Mochi Flight [5/5] I tried the flight with Ube White Chocolate Mochi + Butter Mochi + Chocolate Mochi. All of the were AMAZING. Would highly recommend the butter and ube/white chocolate ones in particular. + Honeycomb Dopo Panna Latte [4.5/5] Really delicious! I was worried this might be too sweet but it was actually perfect. Only slightly unpleasant near the end because there was a lot of leftover sediment (injeolmi) that had settled during the course of my drinking. Service was flexible.

Yelp
Cute cafe with a chill, studious ambiance (lots of people working/studying on a Sunday morning/afternoon) serving coffee, savory breakfast items including musubi, and butter mochi cakes. Reminded me of Hawaii with its tropical inspired drinks and menu items. We got the flight of mochi cakes (pick three flavors) to nibble on with our coffee. Had the black sesame latte, which by default comes with a double shot of coffee (note to self to go with one shot in the future). The mochi cakes had a nice glutinous consistency and subtle flavors (we got black sesame, classic, and white chocolate ube). The black sesame latte also was not too sweet, which I appreciated. Great spot to hang out with friends or just to chill and study. Looks like they are only open in the morning and afternoon, so will definitely need to stop by next time I'm in the city during their working hours.

Yelp
Ube coffee - did not taste like ube at all. Didn't taste much like coffee either. Actually kind of tasted a bit chocolate-y. Egg musubi - doordash description says it has both egg and spam. Well, no spam. Also, the egg was so overcooked and doesn't taste fresh. Disappointing.

Yelp
Accidentally happened upon this place after the first breakfast spot my party hit up had no public restrooms. It is easy to miss. The place is nice, clean, and open. Cool interior, cool menu. Nice array of drinks, boba and coffees. Small breakfast menu but absolutely delicious. I tried the BLT, which was massive. The rest of my party got the breakfast sandwich, they all loved it. All of our drinks were delicious! The service was chill, nothing outstanding but they were nice. No complaints.

Yelp
Update: 4/10 iced tiger cat. The coke and the coffee did not go well together for me :( but it was definitely different. 6/10 iced island matcha. It was better than their regular matcha latte. Everyone was still sweet. Got my order in but this time there was a line so the wait was a bit longer as one would expect. Though I do wish they took names because I accidentally (possibly?) took someone else's order (same drink as me). I believe I got there around closing time but I didn't feel rushed at all. Very calm inside despite the busyness!

Yelp
Absolute gem! Staff were so friendly to tell me all about the dopo panna latte. I had a hard time choosing which flavor - essentially, imo this is a latte with a "plover" (Andytown) like topping but flavored. You can ask for "less sweetness" by halving the flavor, but I don't recommend that as someone who did and didn't get much flavor. Nonetheless, it was my decision and I know better now. Definitely worth a revisit to conquer all flavors. They also gladly do decaf espresso :) FYI this is part of a multi-commercial residential complex - the cafe is part of a food hall!

Yelp
This cute cafe came up on my recommendation list by a local influencer. I visited on a Sunday morning and it was relatively quiet, making it a great study spot or a place to chill. It's located near downtown and the BART Civic Center, though the cafe isn't in the best area. I ordered a black sesame latte with oat milk, which was quite expensive. The two cashiers were not very friendly, and one of them who served me had a bit of an attitude. Besides coffee and drinks, they also offer baked goods like butter mochi and croissants. I tried the regular butter mochi, but it lacked the usual chewiness and was a bit cakey. I can appreciate they have a nice selection.

Yelp
So 9th St, is quite a hike from my office so it is a bit out of the way. Starting in mid-October, this company participated in the Saturday Ferry farmer's market. Their stand is in the south front area near Maison Verbena. I noticed it the 1st week but ran late in my shopping and errands. Making a point to stop their 2nd appearance, I studied their menu and displayed pastries. I decided to order four of the five remaining items as the black sesame mochi cake was already sold out (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=aRkVHBs0C-_idrfyuoyY0A) (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=-EWDYjnzpty5_0yKYjASnA). The only one that I tried the same day was the breakfast one as an afternoon snack. There were no ingredients listed on the menu but I noticed bacon and cheese as primary items. I enjoyed it as the pastry had a corn muffin like flavor that meshed well with the other savory ingredients. Throughout the week, I randomly tried the other four flavors, warming them in the toaster oven. Trust me, it's much better warm. The following week, I made this one of my 1st stops and was able to get the black sesame butter mochi (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=CQd6WQpjBmFwvw4DOr5yZw). I will reheat this tomorrow or Thursday. While still shopping at the market, I also enjoyed the iced passion fruit Mojito (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=pVpyRSZloSF1XydPQ-EzYw) which quenched my thirst. The minty flavor did not dominate or overwhelm the fruit flavor. Prior to this visit, I was not familiar with this company nor did I know that they are known for their drinks. I look forward to trying more of different items on their drink menu. Big thanks to Davis who was generous on both of my visits. Also very nice meeting his brother Jeffrey. Support local family businesses.

Yelp
Nice interior and seating, quite a variety of menu offerings, delicious matcha, friendly staff! Pro-tip: make sure to check-in on Yelp to see if there are any specials. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary butter mochi on my first visit & check-in! I really liked the guava puree in my iced matcha- it blended in nicely with the drink, and was neither too sweet, nor too clumpy (which is usually the case with jams/purées in drinks in my experience). I would get again.
google avatar

Yelp
Love places that provide doses of caffeine in sweet treats. I enjoyed my drink, the flavours of Uber and white chocolate really come through. The Panna latte is like a really foamy latte. All their mochi cakes are really good!

Daniel M.

Yelp
Avocado Cucumber Toast and Almond Croissant were good. I got irritated, though, by their payment terminal tip shaming me: Their default option is 20% tip, despite them not even offering table service. The guy also wasn't super friendly either. I ordered a quad espresso but felt like I only got a double.
google avatar

Yelp
Dropped in for a drink while strolling clement street one weekend. The cute interior drew me in with the animation on the wall and the menu full of enticing flavorful drinks. The server was kind and answered my questions about the different drinks and their flavors- settled on the iced island matcha and a good old classic iced latte, and couldn't resist the treats of the ube white chocolate mochi and the matcha green tea mochi to accompany the drinks. Itt was a little busy when we were there so it took a while to make the drinks, we were able to sit on the tables inside to wait. The iced island matcha was good- not too sweet, pretty fresh with not a strong matcha taste. The iced latte was good also. I liked the little pixelcat stickers on the cups, they were cute. Ube mochi was our favorite, so chewy and flavorful, the matcha one was good also just not as much of the mochi texture than the ube one. Both great sweet snacks though.
google avatar

Jenavieve Z.

Yelp
I originally stumbled upon this place because I thought "ah cute name haha" but the food and drinks are really nice! I got a Ube White Chocolate Butter Mochi for my food item. It's got a muffin texture but butterier and spongier. Like it's got a little more give than biting into a muffin is that makes sense. But yea the texture is really good. And the flavor is so on point!! A delicious sweet treat to go with my coffee. Speaking of coffee, I got a latte. It's a little hotter than I personally prefer but that's ok. Cuz it tastes pretty good. The combo just goes together perfectly. Service is attractive. At the time one person was serving everyone and he is still be fast and making sure no one is waiting long.

Yelp
My coworkers told me about this place and it's a millennial's paradise. I love the artwork and the atmosphere. You come in, and the baristas are playing records with themes of video games and 8 pixil memes surround you. I had their Bobtail, a latte with ube and it is so tasty and delicious. Really pretty too for foodie art. I had their Sando which I forgot to get a pic because it was so delicious. The baristas are friendly and very knowledgeable of the espresso and food. Really glad I found this place in SF! Worth coming by for a coffee break or even a lunch break with the kitchen they share.

Yelp
Cute little space. Was my savior on an early holiday weekend. Avo toast was BOMB! Great offerings for food & cafe drinks with an Asian flare. 10/10

Yelp
I saw this place on Tik Tok and had a chance to go while in the city. The location is a bit hard to get to and there's nothing else really in the area. It's a part of a 'food hall' and attached to an apartment lobby but most of the other stalls aren't open. People were mostly chatting or working like it was a coffee shop. I ordered the Iced Bobtail (ube and white chocolate) latte and my fiance had the Iced Americano. My drink was tasty and he liked his too. We also had the matcha and ube white choco butter mochis. They were good. I like them better than other places because they were moist and light. Other places that have done mini mochi donuts or muffins make them too dense. We liked them so much we got a few to go! I would go back but wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
Pretty small coffee shop with WiFi and limited small tables. The baked goods and drinks are a bit overpriced given the small space. Friend and I came expecting to be able to work out of the cafe but it was much smaller than the downtown location. I'd recommend this as a to-go option for those seeking a sit down spot
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
the menu is super interesting, and I'd come back to try the special dopa lattes. I tried the matcha island (matcha latte with guava puree), and the puree was very sweet but okay once you mix thoroughly. they provide oat milk substitution for free, which is rare. the matcha flavor was strong enough. you can check into Yelp for a free classic butter mochi cake with drink purchase! unfortunately, the butter mochi was more like a dense cupcake and not mochi like at all. overall though, I really liked the ambience and it is good for studying. the staff were really kind as well!
google avatar

Dev M.

Yelp
Very good coffee! We had Honeycomb latte, choco bombon. The ambience is nice, the coffee is pretty strong but balanced

Yelp
Love the Mocha Mexicano - asked to just put half of the oat milk since I'm sensitive to dairy of any kind and it still was fabulous!!!

Yelp
08.16.2024. honeycomb dopo panna latte (hot). 7. browned butter chocolate chip cookie. 3.50. Coffee was okay. You definitely taste the injeolmi because it was reminescent of soy milk but it wasn't sweet and I didn't taste any honey. I think this must be better when iced. CHocolate chip cookie was yum. Overall, okay drinks. I would want to try more before judging. 10.19.2024. Iced Vanilla dopo panna latte. Ice mint chocolate dopo panna latte. Iced vanilla was VERY lightly sweet. I would've preferred a little sweeter. Mint chocolate had a nice subtle minty flavor. Kind of like a mint chocolate milk. I dunno why it's called a latte cause I didn't taste any coffee.

Yelp
The Black Sesame Dopo Panna is fantastic! I ordered mine to go because they were unusually(?) closed during lunch, so I couldn't go inside to check out the space, but it looked like it had high ceilings and big windows.

Yelp
The SERVICE. its way too expensive, $7 for a simple 12 ounce latte. Smh You would think the people who work there would appreciate that every single person walking through that door is paying for their healthcare out of our pockets that they would try a little. Coffee is good, but all things considered this place is a rip off. Lower the price or fix your attitudes and the seating you can't fuck up all and get 5 stars
google avatar

Julci A.

Yelp
Great coffee and small bites! The dopo panna lattes are delicious and so are the mochi butter muffins. I love the flavors - ube, injeolmi. Never really a line or a long wait time. A bit expensive though and wish they were open a little longer.

Yelp
I loved my Tiger cat coffee ($6.50) which I got to-go before an event at City Hall. The spam musubi was also a nice snack to take on-the-go. Service wasn't very attentive or smiley. I did enjoy the eggs in the Breakfast sandwich ($14).
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
I ordered the bobtail panna latte. It was tasty and pretty sweet, so definitely more of a dessert treat than a coffee. At $7 it's not cheap, and after tax and tip I paid over $9 for a coffee which did make me cringe slightly. Interior is nice but felt pretty dead when we went. It needed more lighting or something. The speaker they have is not good so the music was scratchy and kind of annoying to listen to while trying to get some work done. Also not many outlets available, but we were lucky to find a power strip by the ordering kiosk. Overall it's a decent little cafe, but not the best for getting work done.
google avatar

Snoopy S.

Yelp
Cute cafe with interesting options and quality drinks. The plus side to sharing a space with other businesses: a lot of seating. Not a lot of counter space for baristas so you can actually see how they make their drinks which is pretty interesting. I got the dopo panna honeycomb latte which came with dollops of hand whipped cream. Delicious but I wish I tasted more honeycomb, because it tasted like a regular 1 shot latte to me. Pleasantly surprised that the shot was smooth & beans seem to be ground quite fresh. Size was quite small but I didn't mind paying ~$9 for when I saw them hand whipping the cream. Also got the maltese with similar cream. Good amt of black sesame, just make sure to swish your mouth with water after drinking because it tends to stick to your teeth. Bathrooms in the shared business space are in the center & back with a communal sink between stalls. They have more accessible bathrooms and also really small ones (they still work, but it's a squeeze). Overall cute theme to Pixlcat - could see myself coming back to study or try food items with a larger group.

Yelp
"Happy Monday!!!!" Call me a Negative Nelly but I find it hard to return the same sentiment. We all know damn well, there's nothing remotely "happy" about going to work on a Monday... Unless you win the lottery over the weekend and are only there to give your notice. I'll do cartwheels into the office when that happens! BUT, you know what makes Mondays better? Treating yourself to something yummy to kick off the workweek which is exactly what I did! Opening in late March is Pixlcat Coffee. They're located inside the Sunset Squares Pizza Food Hall at the ground level of AVA Apartments. Want boba and spam musubi at 7 am? They got you! M E N U Coffee (Four Barrel), espresso, tea, and boba milk teas. They have a specialty Tiger series which I believe is their take on brown sugar syrup drinks. Dairy alternatives available for a surcharge. Housemade pastries/snacks: Butter mochi, spam musubi, croissant, chocolate chip cookie, etc. Link to menu (love the 80s pixel art menu and cat mascot): https://tinyurl.com/93hkyjjr D R I N K / F O O D * Matcha Latte w/ oat milk ($4.50 + $1 sub oat milk): https://tinyurl.com/ms7xdpsk IDK what brand of matcha powder they use but it was STRONG! You can really taste the grassy vegetal bitterness which I liked. And, with just half the matcha latte, it felt like I stuck my finger in the power socket. It gave me the energy and mental clarity to power through the workday. However, the matcha latte had a perfume-y, soapy aftertaste. Not sure if it was from the matcha compound(s) or soap residue from the oat milk vessel. * Bacon Cheddar Butter Mochi ($5) The savory butter mochi is warmed up in a toaster oven before serving. The butter mochi was deliciously rich and chewy with crispy, caramelized cheese edges (like Detroit-style pizza) and salty bacon bits. The center of the butter mochi was also studded with cheese and more bacon. Yes, it's $5 for 2-3 bites but it's BOMB. GET IT! S E R V I C E Prompt. A M B I A N C E Hip with local art, pendant lighting, and vinyl records playing. Mainly high-top seating. Dog-friendly (free dog treats for your furkid). =) P A R K I N G Very difficult street parking so more of spot for local residents and those who work in the area. Overall, if you're looking for a dose of caffeine and a bomb savory butter mochi to start your day, def hit up Pixlcat Coffee!

It was new to me on Clement. I walked by this one near the apartments near Civic Center...I decided to try it again. I got a passion fruit mojito. It was fun and quick. The owner ran a restaurant called Namu Stonepot here. Sweet treat.

Yelp
The coffee shop is super empty and it's just the barista inside. I'm happy because I have the entire cafe to myself but also I little remiss that there's no one else. The ambiance is aesthetically pleasing with plenty of light and shade coming in, alas there's a lot of homeless right outside the cafe and it felt unsafe parking in this area. I ordered the honey panna cotta iced latte for here and it was made really quickly in a couple minutes. I was a little bummed that it was served in a to-go cup rather than the glassware but oh well. I make the mistake of sticking a straw directly into the drink without mixing it and it was very bitter so make sure to stir! Overall, the drink was nice but $9.80 (including the 20% tip) was so pricey for this little drink that's like only 12oz. Also, the time on Yelp for the open hours is wrong. I thought I had until 3pm but turns out it closes at 2:30pm but the barista was really kind and let me stay a little past closing. This is the perfect study zone except there's not really any outlets. The drink is a solid 7/10 but it's really overpriced.

Yelp
The cappuccino is tasty and rich, but what I loved most about this space is its ambiance. It is cozy and inviting with its vinyl playing in the background, warm lights, and wooden touches. We came on a rainy Saturday and loved how relaxed the whole cafe felt. I'd come here again, whether it's to catch up with a friend or to work. It's also dog friendly and has dog treats up front

Yelp
I walked by this place and decided to try it since I've never noticed it before. The drink was good. I got the bobtail latte which has white chocolate and ube. It was a perfect sweet balance. It's located I guess inside another restaurant? So there's a lot of places to sit. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because they only had one barista working. He was doing great but the orders took a while since he was backed up. I know the place is small but they also sell food so I'm surprised they only had one person working.

Yelp
Went here with a large group and couldn't tell they were irritated. No patience and had attitude with us. Not friendly and messed up on our order and made it feel like it was our fault. Way too pricey for the small amount of tea served. Will not be coming back.

Yelp
Tried this cafe out for the first time today, and it was super good! Very nice and cute ambience, especially with the windy/rainy weather outside. The pixel menu was such a nice feat and I feel like I'm back in my tumblr era :p We ordered an island matcha and a matcha latte (sweetened) with oat milk. The butter mochis were suuuuper tasty; our favorites were the ube white chocolate & black sesame flavors :) The barista accidentally used whole milk for the warm matcha latte, but it was super busy and she was the only one working, so I didn't want to make her make it again. Despite the really busy rush, she was super quick and sweet! Both drinks were really nicely sweetened and had a strong matcha flavor, which we appreciate greatly, as many places we've been to for matcha lattes end up just tasting like milk. The island matcha was definitely a winner for me! My photos are not that great, but overall, very lovely and would like to return to try their food next time. Extra shoutout to the barista (didn't get her name sadly) for doing so great through the big rush

Yelp
The coffee at pixelcat had great flavors and you could tell the barista took time to make it right. I also enjoyed their matcha mochi (gluten free) and thought the matcha sprinkled on top enhanced the flavor as well. I would recommend the iced latte since it comes with the cream on top as well. The store was also cute and located in between two other stores with a open space concept. I loved the theme of the coffee store and music playing in it! It is on the pricier side but good service and food.

Yelp
Arguably the coolest cafe in San Francisco. Pixlcat outputs incredible drinks, phenomenal food and a staff that is as professional as it is kind. I love Pixlcat and can't see myself going to any other cafe in San Francisco

Yelp
I recently visited Pixel Cat Coffee for the first time before a visit to the Asian Art Museum which was a quick walk away. I got into the city a little bit earlier then the Museum and found this place on maps when looking for somewhere warm with a Matcha Latte to sit before it opened. As soon as I walked in the guy working there greeted me and was friendly. He finished making someone else's latte then took my order. I complemented him on his Latte Art that he did in other people's drinks as well as mine. He did a great job on that, and I know it's not an easy skill to pick up! He recommended trying the Mochi so I got the Matcha Green Tea Mochi to go with the Matcha Latte. Both were tasty and fresh! The mochi had a nice chewy texture to it and the matcha you could tell was a high quality one. They had lots of seating inside and it looks like later in the day there's a few other food stalls in this location that open up too! I love the Pixel Cat Art on the cup, and even on the menu and signs, I appreciate the attention to detail they have with that! Would definitely come back again if I'm in the area! :)
