"Considering how many out-of-towners wander around McCormick Place, there’s a criminally negligible amount of classic Chicago pizza spots nearby. But there is Pizano’s, a local chain that’s been around since 1991 and has a location right across the street from the convention center. This spot offers both thin crust and deep dish, though we recommend going with the thin crust. We appreciate the buttery cracker crust, and we always order it with pepperoni. If it’s nice out, sit on the patio." - adrian kane, veda kilaru

"Pizano’s is among the many Chicago-based pizza chains that specialize in the art of deep-dish and is a descendent of Pizzeria Uno. Try the “Rudy’s Special,” named after founder Rudy Malnati Jr.’s late mother, Donna Marie Malnati, and is topped with mushrooms, sausage, onions, and green peppers. While the deep-dish here is solid, the buttery thin crust here was once called a favorite of Chicago native Oprah Winfrey." - Ashok Selvam
"Delivery and curbside pick up. Offering their full menu and a $5 coupon to use all throughout March." - adrian kane

"A family-run South Side pizzeria long associated with the Malnati family, where Donna Marie “Mama” Malnati was known for her passion for making pizza dough and reportedly supervised dough production until shortly before her death. She helped her son open the restaurant, and the location will host a celebration of her life on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m." - Naomi Waxman
