loved loved LOVED the pizza. pricey compared to other spots, but it was definitely worth it. i got the "bacon cheeseburger" pizza. the onions were soooo good and all the meats were great! would come back again if i ever want a lot of meat lol

Nice place with very good pizza. I did not get a shake however they have way more than pizza and shakes. They offer sandwiches, gelato and cookies as well. The pizza came out quickly. I ordered carryout by the time I made it back to my spot the pizza was still fresh and delicous. Taste the gelato while you wait. I recommend the Overlord.

Venchi was packed, so I found this place close by, and since the name of the place is my two favorite foods, it felt destined. It looks really new, judging by the appearance and how friendly the employees still are. I had a solitary scoop of the Ferrero Rocher, my go-to self soothing after self-loathing treat, and it did not disappoint. I was very appointed with it. They also have ample bar seating so you're not standing in the corner like a schmuck while you eat because it's cold outside.

The best pizza I've ever had in New York, why? Simple, it is made when you order it, nothing is better than a freshly made pizza. Wide variety of ingredients to choose from. An excellent service. The place is clean. I recommend it 100%.

I love this place! The food is fresh made and delicious, with personal pizzas and milkshakes made from regular ice cream and gelato. Everybody here is very nice and attentive, it’s a very pleasant dining experience.

I love that you can customize your own pizza & it still be the same price as their signatures. I haven't tried their shakes or gelato yet but I'm sure it's good & will try it next time. Plus, they have a birthday cake & red velvet waffle zone.

I love this place. I can create my own pizza to my liking. I feel its a bit pricy for the size but I went here a couple times already and recommend it to my friend. She loves it too. Would definitely recommend

My friends and I were gonna picnic at Central Park and decided to grab food here to go. The pizzas were DELICIOUS! And can we talk about the “I LOVE YOU” wall? So cute! Definitely recommend.

Had a date night with the wifey and found we were hungry for something quick and easy, yet delicious, and we happened upon Pizza and Shakes! Sooo glad we did! Pizza made to order with all the toppings you want; it was delicious! And the staff were courteous and quick too! So coming back here!

So we ordered the taylor BOGO offer and sadly it did not hit the same way as our original order below. I don't think it was bad per se, but it felt like someone else was making it because the first time was just so perfect. I'd still try it again, with hopes it's better and consistent.

Came by after seeing a Broadway show on Wednesday night. A few people but pretty empty so we got to order right away. It's like long/ovular personal pizzas with the option to make your own. We got the Overload and Kansas BBQ. The guy also let us customize the sauces on them. They were soooo yummy - excellent toppings and sauces. They are also made fresh to order. Two pizzas were perfect for two people, it not a little much. They also have gelato right there for a nice dessert afterward. Seating is bar style along the walls. Lots of napkins and hand sanitizer around. Also very well-lit and comfortable. Definitely a great find.

My friend and I were in the area and stumbled upon this place cause there was a BOGO free deal on UberEats. We ordered the quatreto pizza to share and it was really good! This was basically a flatbread pizza and the bread was so good. All the cheeses and sauces complimented each other so well. They were also giving out samples of their siena sandwich and that was delicious! The mozzarella was so soft and fresh and the pesto was one of the top pestos I have ever had. It tasted really fresh and authentic. The restaurant had a couple of seatings along the wall and the place was very clean! The workers were really nice too. If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely stop by again. Their gelatos also looked really good too!

If I could give this place 20 stars, I would! The pizza is out of this world amazing and it came out piping hot, tasted delicious, and all the ingredients were so fresh. The cool thing about this place and I'm seeing a trend at a lot of restaurants is that you don't have to order at the register you can just go up to a monitor and you can order their premade pizzas, which I did. I got the #12 Kansas, or you can make your own pizza with all the toppings that you want, or don't want. You can choose a different crust, flavored sauces, different cheeses; there are so many varieties! tTe best thing about this place is the price point. Y'all, my pizza was about $12. I also got the Parmesan garlic twists which was to die for! Super delicious and the Parmesan was caked on. I'm obsessed with cheese so no complaints for me! I literally can't wait to visit this place again!

This place is delicious. I had the quatreto pizza and tiramisu shake. The pizza was delicious and had a crispy crust flavor wise was just amazing! The shake could use a little help but it was decent.

My broke BFF ( daughter) really wanted pizza, and this was the place I happened to be walking past. I originally went in with the intention of buying two slices. However, that was not an option. They serve oval flatbread pies. I got one pizza to share with my daughter. We did a build your own pie. My pizza maker was very generous with the toppings and cheese. The pizza itself was better than I expected. It was really good and tasted fresh. In addition to the price being extremely affordable. Apart from pizza, they sell gelato and make shakes. Before my daughter decided on which flavor Gelato she wanted, the server allowed her to sample a few. I will say it is not NYC pizza yet good pizza....establishment is very clean.....affordable....and staff were friendly. When in the area, of course, I will stop by for another pie.

Stopped in here because the pizzas look really fresh and delicious. Yes they make them fresh but it's overpriced and overcooked.

Not traditional NYC pizza, but good pizza here. They have oval pizzas that one would expect from the &pizza chain and is more colloquially known as Pizza alla Pala. Most run about $15 each. I tried three types: -country style: signature tomato basil sauce, pepperoni, bacon, meatballs, mozzarella, sweet onion sauce -quatreto: white garlic sauce, shredded mozzarella, ricotta cheese, fresh mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, garlic Parmesan sauce -the swift: spicy tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese, pepperoni, jalapenos, roasted red peppers, Nashville hot sauce My favorite was the country style. Good amount of the topping and the sweet onion sauce brings it out together. The quatreto was also good. Had an interesting mesh of cheeses joined together by the garlic sauce. The swift was okay. It needs a bit more flavorful Nashville hot sauce IMHO. I'd come back and try the other pies.

Nothing great about my experience here, the flatbread style pizza is good enough for what it is and the toppings you can pile up are cool. The flavors are all a bit muted and straight forward at best. My biggest let down came what I ordered the shake. I got a rainbow cookie tiramisu... this was like a real good vanilla shake with a couple sprinkles; Very dull.

I did the make your own pizza You get to choose the sauce, cheese, toppings and then after it's cooked there are some sauces you can drizzle on top. It's close to Central Park and overall a good pizza it got the job done the whole interaction took around 7 mins Not a lot of seating but enough but close enough to the park to go walk over with it

We were walking up 6th Avenue on a hot,sunny afternoon and I was craving gelato. Not froyo, not ice cream. So of course I turned to yelp, which sent us to Mia's Bakery on 7th. BUT they didn't have Gelato! Bummed out, we continued uptown on 7th Avenue and turned on 57th St. Husband just happened to look to his right, and voila! A pizza place that appeared to have a gelato case near the front window. In we went and I was rewarded! Yes, this place may specialize in pizza and shakes, but there was gelato, yay for me! I had a small cup of the fruta de basca (?) & husband had the pistachio. Both were spot-on. Yum, I'd come back in a heartbeat while I'm in the neighborhood. Try it!

This place sucks. I ordered "Milano" sandwich which is supposedly made with roast beef. When the sandwich came it was made with mortadella. I inquired and the morons behind the counter assured me it was roast beef. I didn't want to argue so let it go. 20$. The sandwich sucked. Stay away. 646 262 6232

This pizza never misses! The country style pizza is quite the delight with a mix of meats (meatballs, bacon and pepperoni). The tomato basil base, and red onion gives such a nice sweet twist to palate!

This review is for the gelato - we didn't try the pizza yet. They have quite a few flavors, including multiple dairy free sorbets (vegan chocolate, several fruit flavors). We both had gelato. I intended to get pistachio and hazelnut, but on a whim I sampled the fior di bosco (translates to flower of the forest, according to my research). It had a wild raspberry sort of jammy swirl running through a mascarpone tinged sweet creamy gelato. It was delicious, so I paired the fior di bosco with the hazelnut. My husband had the salted caramel - very delicious with small chocolate and caramel bits throughout.

Loved it. We wanted pizza and didn't want rays and this was super close. We went in Christmas night and noticed a non stop flow of guys coming in to pick up food deliveries, like 1 a minute and figured we found something the locals like. The ordering experience was similar to ordering a sandwich at subway. They had dough stacked up and pulled one down and you told them what you wanted and they added the ingredients right in front of you, just like subway. It goes into an over and pops out the other side. We ordered 4 and they are $14.95 each and then 4 drinks was like $75. Probably the cheapest meal we had in this area. Absolutely great food and a great business concept.

Pizza and Shakes has so many pizza toppings, it's unbelievable. Not to mention, they make their pizzas so quickly! Was so impressed by the impeccable service, huge variety of toppings, and delicious food! There was a huge group of people in line before us, but we were helped very quickly. Here's what we got: ~Quatreto Pizza (white garlic sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, fresh mozzarella, parmesan cheese, garlic parmesan sauce) and I added to it meatballs, bacon, and chicken. ~Make your own pizza with classic basil tomato sauce, Italian sausage, bacon, meatball, cherry tomato, olives, shredded mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and garlic parmesan ~Parmesan cheese twists (they were so crispy and when you ripped them apart, there was such a satisfying cheese pull!) Both pizzas were COVERED in toppings, so they were nice and filling. The garlic parmesan sauce was so delicious, I could truly put it on everything! Dessert: ~Cone with Ferrero Rocher gelato and banana Nutella gelato ~Ferrero Rocher gelato milkshake with Oreos There were so many awesome flavors to choose from! If you're looking for an amazing pizza with all the toppings or some quality gelato, this is the place to go!!

Small place with some chairs to sit in. You can customize your own pizza or pick one they made. Really nice sauces and a good amount of choices. I got a custom pizza and it was really good and for less than 20$.

Pizza and Shakes: what a concept! Not to be outdone, they also serve gelato. I stuck with the 'za, ordering two of their flat, oblong pies for delivery. The location, on W 57th, is right by Central Park at the North end of the theater district. Easily accessible by subway, bicycle, automobile, etc. The shape of the pizza is reminiscent of &Pizza's offerings. The portion is sufficient to share and could easily accommodate a large appetite. The flavor is akin to a good pie from a pizza chain: not gourmet, but for this price, I expected as much. Still, the flavors are good, the consistency and texture are pleasant, and the ingredients mostly impressed me. I loved the fresh jalapeño slices, but was less excited about the bacon bits, which ended up being more like gristle chunks strewn atop the pie. A little more quality control on the bacon would make for a more pleasant experience. Overall I was modestly impressed by this new pizzeria. Next time I'll consider trying a shake or some gelato. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Great made to order pizza and positive vibes at this small, casual pizza spot near Columbus Circle. Food. A number of chef choice or custom made oval shaped pizzas with lots of toppings to choose from, plus shakes and gelato. (Each oval shaped mini pizza about $12). We had the Columbus Circle pizza which was amazing: cheese, pepperoni and bacon, made to order and drizzled with an optional slightly spicy honey sauce. So good! My son also enjoyed their chocolate gelato. Atmosphere. I loved the positive vibes of this small casual place as much as the pizza. On the wall displays: I love you, you are amazing and unique, and inspiring to do and goal lists on the pizza boxes. Positive, inspirational vibes. Service. The pizza maker and counter servers were very friendly.

Pretty neat new pizza (and shakes) spot at the top of midtown/area below Central Park. Swung by on a Friday night for pizza to bring back to the apartment and ordered the #5 Country Style (signature tomato basil sauce, pepperoni, bacon, meatballs, mozzarella, sweet onion sauce) for $11.78. There is a 2 minute "guarantee" (?) and although I did not pay attention to the time it took, I could believe it because the pizza was done pretty quickly. The pizza tasted great and was well cooked. There was a decent amount of toppings and they were pretty good quality. Might have to come by again and try another flavor.

This is such a great late night dinner spot. I loved the pizza and the ability to order on the screens, the selection of toppings was pretty good but the quality could be better. Where they went right was with their dough, it's sooo good!! However, unfortunately the shake I got was very average. Just tasted like cold melted ice cream, but for $8. The gelato shake could be different, but I would definitely be back for their pizza options!

Me and my boyfriend left the Drew Barrymore show and headed to pizza and shakes I found them from a couple I follow on social media that lives in New York. We were very excited because we've been wanting to try these Italian sandwiches. We got there there wasn't any line at all it was very empty. The place was very clean. And one employee working at the front we asked for a menus we weren't sure what sandwich we wanted so we asked the lady at the front we were a bit disappointed because when we asked her what was the most popular sandwich she was a bit caught of guard. told her we wanted one with as much deli meat and she told us well I don't know about those meats. That's not something we wanted to hear when we were so excited to come try their food out. We were a bit discouraged. Nonetheless we got the Verona and the bari they were each at 20$ a sandwich but they are big. We easily could have shared one. The Verona was our favorite it had prosciutto which was freshly cut fresh mozzarella tomatoes and hot honey the bread was so soft and the hot honey gave the sandwich the perfect taste. The bari was not for us we think it had way to much roasted peppers which was over powering. Can't wait to come back and try some of the pizza! Looked very good!

I walk by this place often, and the neon purple and yellow lights always catches my eye. It's a small, colorful restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. The pizzas are personal pies made with flatbread. I ordered the Harvest Moon, which has their signature tomato & basil sauce, roasted mixed vegetables, mozzarella, and garlic aioli. Honestly, they had me at aioli. The pizza was super flavorful and crunchy. I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it, but before I knew it my pie was gone! It's a hearty meal, so I didn't have room for dessert, but I would love to try the gelato next time.

Came by today to take advantage of the pi day special (cheese pizza for $3.14 vs the usual rate of $11ish-12ish). The size for the price was an absolute STEAL and that was absolutely 5/5 but I can't say I was mindblown by the taste. The pizza was prepared in under ten minutes, which was appreciated considering the hustle and bustle of the location the place is based out of. As for flavor, it really just tasted like any $1 slice you'd get on any NYC street corner. The size was great for one person and I suppose if you were going to california pizza kitchen or cheesecake factory you would be getting a person pie for the general same price so definitely more than fair for the cost (considering other pizzerias will charge $4-6.50 per slice in the area). They have a plethora of other flavors and combos though which I'm sure are leagues ahead of this particular item, so skip on the regular cheese and do something fun. The store itself is roomy, with a back wall perfect for Instagram things if you're into that sorta thing. They have a whole gelato bar, which I gotta try sometime, and milkshakes that can be made from gelato or regular ice cream. They were 7-10 bucks depending on if you choose ice cream or gelato, pricey but expected I guess. I wouldn't go out of my way to come by, but if I were in the area I would stop in to try the gelato.

The name of the place is simple, but the food is so much more. Walking into this establishment is like walking into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory if Wonka had a teenage Gen Z daughter: it's bright, colorful, trendy, and absolutely beautiful. I loved the setup of the ingredients display, the organization of the menus on the wall, the seating arrangement, and even the bright uniform colors. This place is a sight to see for sure. I ordered the Swift pizza and the spicy cheese garlic twists which came up to around $21 (I believe). The cheese twists weren't exactly 100% on presentation. It wasn't an ugly arrangement by any means (as a matter of fact, they're mouth-watering), but they didn't exactly resemble the polished display posted online. That's a small nitpicky thing though: these cheese twists were great to get me started with the meal. The bread was soft and hot (even after dashing through the rain with the boxes) and the melt of the cheese complimented it so well. The blend of cheeses used in the twists also matched up beautifully with the subtle spices. It was a slight kick of jalapeño behind it all, which helped to seal the deal. However, the additional parmesan on top was a bit much for me and I found that the tomato basil dipping sauce, as delicious as it was, was notably watery and it was difficult for me to really get it onto the cheese twists and grab a significant amount of its flavor. Flavor did not lack much at all when it comes to the pizza however. We're keeping the theme of spice here with more jalapeños and peppers: the red and green peppers absolutely hit the nail on the head here. Those toppings, along with the pepperoni and the cheese were cooked well to where this pizza tasted as authentic as pizza can get. The aroma of the pie hit me as soon as I was given the box, so I felt that I was in for a good ride. I especially liked that there was some spice in the tomato sauce. It helped the pizza overall in that same subtle sense: the background heat really sets the scene for the rest of the flavors to do their best. They seem to be very well known for their shakes as well, but unfortunately I didn't grab one this time around. However, they might see me again soon for one because this place is worth returning to.

Came here for the fugazetta remix special and holy balls was the pie mouth watering!!! If I could eat more than 1 pizza in one sitting, I would order a ton more!

I customized my own personal pizza It was delicious! I ordered #3 The Swift, then added buffalo chicken , Mike's hot honey & arugula So good . I was only disappointed because they didn't decorate my milkshake like I saw on IG. But it was good.

The worst customer service I have seen in New York. They messed up my order and I said that before I left, they refused to fix. The guy in charge didn't cared and I asked for multiple solutions, and he refused to cooperate

Pizza and Shakes is pretty awesome in the sense that I enjoy customizing everything and seeing a whole slew of options and toppings to make the ultimate pizza pie. This spot reminds me a little bit of "& pizza" but they have different stuff and the added bonus of fresh gelato and milkshakes. And trust me the list of gelatos and ice creams is IMPRESSIVE and that's coming from someone that is utterly obsessed with ice cream. They're also somewhat affordable. An entire pizza (which is ovular shaped like a skateboard) is around $12-13 and I can't finish an entire one in one sitting. They also come out amazingly fast in less than 5 minutes. I ended up going with the Farmer's Blue: Pesto sauce, blue cheese, grilled chicken, broccoli, mushrooms, caramelized onions, and blue cheese dressing. They had me at blue cheese. This tastes even good cold the next day. No joke. Really loved the toppings combo. I also tried my friend's which which was a seasonal limited pizza called the Taylor: Mozzarella, ricotta, caramelized onions, balsamic glaze, basil and thyme. A little more simple but good flavors. And ended up getting the Buffalo Bill (Buffalo chicken style pizza) to go for the boy later who thoroughly actually enjoyed it and he's kind of picky when it comes to pizza. Gelato flavors range from your basic stracciatella to ferrero rocher, fior di bosco, tiramisu, rainbow cookies, banana nutella. . . you get the picture. I went with a cone of ferrero rocher and the tiramisu and both were really good although the ferrero had me. Rich flavor while the tiramisu was a little bit more bland. I can't even imagine these as a milkshake and regret not trying one of those. Would totally come back for some fast casual pizza next time in midtown.

Hey new neighbor! Pizza and Shakes opened around the corner from Carnegie Hall and it's a tasty, affordable, filling meal or treat before the show. I found the pizza to be a good chewy NY crust with tons of options for toppings. Everything is made to order, on site within 10 minutes, or online for pick up. Where they are a little different from the NY slice is their devotion to sauces, which feels kinda California Pizza Kitchen and are optional. Pizza pies are oval, about 15x7 inches wide and are enough for big eaters, or to share if you want a snack. The store is gorgeous, with lots of insta friendly walls, bright lighting, and super clean. Value is good for the neighborhood.

It was all about the service, very nice people. A really clean place. Unfortunately not a very good pizza.

I had the delight of visiting Pizza & Shakes this week while the sun was out on a perfect NYC day! I went with a plan to taste their collaboration with Dough Doughnuts which featured a huge fluffy donut stuffed with your choice of scooped gelato or sorbet. I felt so excited to check out all of the flavors of gelato and sorbet once I got there. The wide array of options alone makes the trip worthwhile. I had no idea they offered so many signature flavors. I was torn between Rainbow Cookies and Tiramisu but opted to try the Raspberry Sorbet in a Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut. I then selected toppings, I am a sprinkles girl but couldn't choose one kind. I decided to get both chocolate and rainbow! Such an awesome treat and I will be returning to sample more scoops.

Hey Howdy, I came with my girlfriends after a picnic and the food was so yummy. We even took some home for later ;) The staff was so friendly and accommodating and helped us all get pizzas designed for our palates. Moreover, the ice cream/gelato was the perfect dessert. Very strongly recommended. Y'all should try it out asap :))

Placed an online order for a pizza and breadsticks for delivery, it's was $34 after fees and such. Two hours go by haven't gotten a notification or anything, call the restaurant and see where food is. Person on phone puts me on hold for 10 minutes to come back and say hey looks like you are outside delivery area. Ok why didn't you call and tell me that when you got the order? Also would you have just kept my money if I didn't call? No response.... No consideration for the customer thanks for literally nothing!!

Pizza. It did it's job, came out fast, and tasted good. Big odd-shaped pies, split one with another person if you want a shake too, because it's a hefty meal. Service was a bit strange, i'm pretty sure one of the workers was in a K-Hole but hey, girlbosses stay slaying. No bathrooms, no free water, but pizza. Love pizza!

I placed a delivery order at 7:45pm I even called the restaurant to confirmed the order the person who answered said he got the order and hes working on it, well 2 hours passed and I'm still waiting, i called the restaurant again and the same person says that the delivery guys didn't take the order, I ask why? He said I dont know they usually come and pick up the orders to be delivered, whos they? Because I place the order through your website not through a third-party website like uber eats or Doordash and I know exactly how that works, so after all this time waiting he says well I can cancel you order if you want, well so easy for them, great service.

the Quatreto pizza is life changing! Did not expect it to be THIS good! I will for sure be ordering again

For a place that advertises only pizza and shakes, you better be able to make at least half decent shakes, let alone "extra thick" shakes. These milk shakes were basically flavored milk. Mildly cold, not ice cold like an actual milkshake. To call these milkshakes "thick" is like calling the earth flat- a complete lie. Total disappointment. Go to Ben and Jerry's and at least you know what ur getting.

The man making my pizza questioned me about the Knicks hat I was wearing that day and followed by saying he doesn't like the Knicks. Since I got take-out, I didn't realize until much later he had put spicy sauce on my regular classic pizza. I don't eat spicy since it makes my stomach hurt. Whether it was done deliberately for wearing a team's hat he disliked or just an honest mistake, I was at a loss either way.

Not the worse pizza and not the best pizza. Pizza and shakes is kind of like Blaze Pizza (build your own pizza). The pizza is good, but it could be better (the sauces to be specific, lacks flavor). The staff were super nice and friendly.

Awful service. Walked at 10:45pm when their sign said they were open til 11. One of the guys working yelled "We're closed" and told me to leave.

Hot pizza plus good ambiance and service it's A+ for me... this place have multiples pizza and actually you can made your own flavors for the same price... recommend

Food is always fast and delicious. However... today when my pizza was ready the counter person was emptying the garbage bin bare-handed and proceeded to clean up the dining bar. I let her know my pizza was ready and she went right back to get, but gave me attitude when I asked her to wash her hands and put on gloves. She was ready to go from the garbage to my pizza! Please train your employees on the importance of health and sanitary food service!

So good!! We got in on a late flight and ordered from here. Delicious, fresh, fast and reasonably priced, especially for Manhattan. Total win for our family of 4.

Look, the folks that run this restaurant are about the nicest on earth. The restaurant was clean. It was 10pm when I stopped in. Beautiful folks running the place. Pizza was cheesy and delicious. I mean, it's frickin pizza. Crust was solid, had those dominoes sprinkles on it. Cheese and ingredients were fresh. Shakes were banging. A few more drinks in me and a couple hours later and I woulda given them 6 stars. Pizza. New York. Words. Cannot. Compare.

Very yummy! We enjoyed building our own special pizza from a big list of ingredients. Will definitely come back for gelato.
