Best Restaurants at Santana Row and Valley Fair in San Jose | Eater SF

"Does anything say “comfort food” quite like a hot cheesy slice? Pizza Antica’s Italian-style thin-crust pies and wood-fired oven match their mission to embody the classic Roman pizzeria. You don’t need a discerning palate to taste the quality. Partnering with local farmers, ranchers, meat curers, cheese producers, and bakers, the local ingredients earn the restaurant a wholesome rustic flavor. As for toppings, try the heirloom potato pizza or the spicy fennel sausage, though they’ve got all the classic standbys, too. And if you don’t mind getting cozy with your carbs, go ahead and order a side of spaghettini or gnocchi while you’re there." - Johanna Harlow

I recently visited Pizza Antics and had a decent experience. The pizza was okay—not bad, but I was hoping for a little better. The crust was a little burnt, and I’m not a fan of the charred taste, which won’t be for everyone. With the amount of staff present, I expected more attentiveness, as service felt a bit lacking. That said, the ambiance and atmosphere were great, making it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. With some improvements in food quality and service, this place could be fantastic.

If you are shopping at Santana Row or staying at Hotel Valencia and you're in the mood for pizza, Pizza Antica is a great choice. It's a bustling bistro with indoor and outdoor seating with excellent food and service. We had a Pizza with cheese and fennel sausage with an order of their appetizer meatballs (3). That was perfect for two people to share. I really liked the pizza sauce as well as the marinara that accompanied the meatballs -- so much so that I'm going to try the pasta next time. I also had a cup of tomato soup, which was wonderful. The other thing that I really want to try is their fried chicken. I saw a plate come out of the kitchen and it looked delicious. As mentioned, the service is excellent, but I do have to say that it's just a little too noisy on the inside if you're looking for something intimate.

Pizza Antica in San Jose offers a refined take on classic Italian-style pizza in a stylish yet welcoming atmosphere. The thin-crust pizzas are crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients and feature creative toppings that cater to various tastes. Their menu also includes flavorful appetizers, salads, and pasta dishes. The attentive service and cozy ambiance make it a great spot for date nights, family dinners, or casual gatherings. While prices are slightly higher than typical pizza places, the quality and experience are worth it.

Google
The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious! We ordered the peach and arugula salad (yum!) and a make your own pizza with goat cheese and assorted toppings. So delicious, and the pizzas are big enough to share! Would definitely recommend.

Google
We have been going here from the day of their inauguration. Something to celebrate this is the first restaurant that comes to our mind. As vegetarians our favorite options are Mixed greens, in summer fried artichoke, gnocchi and potato pizza. Noticing that the salad quality has been going down recently but the rest are still as great as before. 2025 Finally! They have Tiramisu on their menu!! It’s delicious 👌🏼

Google
Margarita pizza- skin is thin and soft, the crust is crunchy. Spaghetti- pretty regular, the sauce is general, I won’t say it tastes great. With only noodle it’s $18, meat ball cost another $6. Potato gnocchi - texture is the same but the sauce is different. It used to be really yummy but now the sauce is just okay. Came around 12:30 on Sunday Morning. Still has seat for four people inside. This place is really popular, it filled up really fast. However, It’s not as tasty as before. With regular food, 20% mandatory service surcharge + 2% San Jose employer mandate and only one server, we waited for quite a while to get our bills. We will not come here next time. I recommend to go to the bakery across the street to get some dessert afterwards.

Google
I took my wife here for Mother's Day this past weekend, and we were not disappointed! Everyone from the bartenders to the servers was friendly and engaging. The food did not disappoint either. We had their artisan pizzas, salads, and cocktails. All 3 selections were great. I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
The best potato pizza I've tried. I usually get the heirloom potato and add pancetta to it. The truffle oil cohesively binds everything together. I do wish there were more pasta options, as I thought the gnocchi was average, though I usually love gnocchi. But if you're coming to Pizza Antica, it's for their pizza! They have some nice cocktails as well that rotate. Make a reservation!

Yelp
Wow this pizza was really good. Now I get why this place is always packed! For four people we ordered the cacio e pepe fries, peach arugula salad, and two pizzas. I also got their seasonal strawberry mint lemonade. Everything was soo yummy and the service was impeccable. We arrived right at opening on a Saturday and we were seated right away. Can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
One of my go-to spots when visiting Santana Row/Valley Fair. I usually order gnocchi and a pizza to share and an affogato for dessert. Their gnocchi is a unique, much richer take on the traditional dish, which I've realized is not to everyone's taste, but it's personally one of my favorites. I typically opt for their custom pizzas--the best of which was with pancetta and sun-dried tomatoes. Service is always gratifying with friendly hosts/wait staff and almost any seating accommodation requested with my reservation. This held true even during the height of pandemic. Ambience is like that of a typical high-energy Italian restaurant. Both indoor and outdoor dining is pleasant, though more reserved diners should know that outdoor tables sit adjacent to the often congested Santana Row.

Yelp
Absolutely loved everything! The pizza was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of cheese and flavor. The pasta was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. And the salad--so fresh and delicious, especially with the shrimp on top, which added the perfect touch! You can really tell they use quality ingredients. Great service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Dylan is our amazing servicer and he's suggest the Burratta and Caesar Salad which was 10/10. His special knowledge of the pizza helped us to decide on the fennel sausage pizza with red sauce - also tasted incredible Kylie had a fun personality and created a friendly atmosphere for my cousin and I. Damien help us to bring our food and even got us extra chicken because we forgot to order it.

Yelp
Pizza was quite tasty although I don't think the cost is reflective of the food experience I had. Nothing really stood out to me. Flavor profiles were lacking and tasted like any other pizza. It's bad that I prefer Blaze over this place. Not really worth the price to be frank. I recommend to just dine at a hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Pizzas were lackluster and ordinary, dressed in a gucci belt.

Yelp
Pizza Antica is a beautiful place located at the streets of santana row. They serve amazing food with their amazing service. We tried their couple of pizza's and bread. We also had red wine. All in all everything was pretty decent and delicious.

Yelp
Came to Pizza Antica for lunch at Santana Row -- overall, it was an okay experience. The vibe is nice and the location is great for people-watching, but the food was a bit hit or miss. We ordered the strawberry wild arugula salad, spaghettini, and the spicy pancetta pizza. The salad was fresh and had a nice balance of sweet and peppery, but a little light on the strawberries. The spaghettini was decent, though nothing memorable could've used more flavor. The pizza was the best of the bunch ,crispy crust, good spice from the pancetta, and well-cooked, but still didn't quite wow us. Service was friendly but a little slow, especially considering it wasn't super busy. For the price and location, I expected a bit more. Not bad, but not something I'd rush back for.

Yelp
This is a place we've been going to since childhood. It's been a few years since I've been and we decided to go for one of my good high school friend's birthdays. We went on a Wednesday around 6 pm and got a table easily inside. We ordered: -Di Stefano burrata ($17): this was a nice appetizer and the toast was perfect texture for the burrata. -roasted asparagus and frisee ($18): I really enjoyed this salad. The only thing that really irked me was the soft boiled egg they put, they put only half of one. Like come on. I know eggs are expensive but now we know someone else is getting an old soft boiled egg half or we got the old one. It's lazy and cheap. -heirloom potato pizza ($23): this is usually our favorite pizza but today it was a bit bland. Not much truffle flavor at all. Texture was nice -asparagus ($24): this pizza i quite enjoyed and the lemon flavor really came through nicely. Overall I was a little disappointed but I would come back out of convenience and there were some bright spots. The wait staff were great too. The food came out quite quickly as well.

Yelp
Still a solid place and one of me/my hubby's go to at the row. We usually opt for bar seating now to avoid the chaos and wait times, which is legit even crazier nowadays with the nicer weather. New order hackkkkkk - MARGHERITA pizza....BUT ADD SAUSAGE! Sooooo goood. All the freshness of a MARGHERITA pizza with just a tad bit of meat (but not too much, my usual issue with carnivore pizza is that there's so much meat it tends to lean overly salty). Meatballs are still bomb, Cacio Pepe fries are tasty, cheesy and perfectly peppery; while the seasonal salad with egg was a yummy refreshing addition.

Yelp
went here a lot 2021! the pizzas are phenomenal, they KNOW how to make good pizza without red sauce or a flavorful sauce. i love the truffle pizzas. but the COOKIE DESSERT IS THE STAR OF THE SHOW. comes with scoop of ice cream i believe? pizookie oh my goodness id kill for one of these
google avatar

Anu P.

Yelp
Heirloom potato pizza is REALLY REALLY good .. made me almost give them 5 stars. Also like their gnocchi but if you're only eating gnocchi it gets one dimensional half way through the dish. I have friends that LOOOVE this place, but the wait time is KILLER. 1-2 hour wait for pizza ??!! the ambiance is nice but I'd take slice house so that there's no wait. Also some of the seasonals are weird. Distinctly remember not loving a calzone and some pear blue cheese pizza. Caesar salad is also refreshingly good?? idk why it hits different

Yelp
One of the few restaurants on The Row that actually has good food imo haha. The food quality and taste is very good. There's not many good pizza spots in the South Bay. The BLT salad was well dressed. The fries portion was big and perfectly crispy. The crust on the pizza was perfect - minimal flop. A lovely summer day to sit on the patio.

Yelp
My partner and I came here for dinner around 5:30 PM during Mother's Day weekend and were seated right away. Our server was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The Elder Statesman cocktail was recommended by our server after I mentioned I wanted something on the sweeter side -- and it hit the mark. We especially enjoyed the sausage mushroom pizza -- the cumin flavors really stood out -- though it was a bit on the salty side. The fries were also excellent; we devoured them!
google avatar

Yelp
The spaghetti was a little bit over seasoned but everything else was delicious :)) Upon arrival I got met with Kiely and she was very welcoming, Dylan was my server and he give great recommendations. I got a seasonal sausage and mushroom pizza and he recommended adding red sauce which was perfect. The buratta was my favorite. The side of roasted chicken was juicy and flavorful. Of course the espresso martini was refreshing and sweet. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasty.
google avatar

Cheryl E.

Yelp
We ordered the meatballs, gnocchi, the marg and potato pizza. The appetizers were tasty. The gnocchi was soft, chewy, and paired well with the arugula. The meatball was tender, juicy, and had good flavor. As for the pizzas. Although the potato pizza was highly recommended, it fell a little short in my book. I probably wouldn't order it again. The flavors were good, but I don't know if it was my favorite on a pizza. The marg pizza was a safe bet, and I'm happy they did it right. The simplicity of the tomato sauce, cheese, and basil was all I needed.

Yelp
ESPRESSO MARTINIS. PIZZA. PASTA. SALAD. The combination of having a good meal. I absolutely love Pizza Antica for many reasons. One being that not only is their food good but I would come here just to have 5 espresso martinis -- because they are just that good!! I was informed by the bartender that the coffee used in their espresso martinis are freshly brewed in house. It's something you can't miss when you come. Their food has always been consistent throughout the many times of visiting. My go to order is the following: - Heirloom potato pizza ($23) - Fennel Sausage pizza ($26) - Caesar salad with chicken ($25) - Fried chicken ($29) - ESPRESSO MARTINIS ($18) *In the summer time they offer a summer corn pizza -- Must try when it's available. * The service is always amazing and I love how there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, I would recommend coming here.

Yelp
Really busy place with long wait time. Our host told us 30-45 minute wait time, when checking after 30 minutes she told us 20-30 minutes its like they kept adding time on our wait. The hosts are not friendly. We came with a party of 3 but they sat us at a 2 person table until a bigger table came available.. Our server was really nice and cool and understood us being frustrated. The alcohol pours are stingy. Food is delicious though, great flavor, good quality ingredients. The gnocchi and arancini is amazing! Didn't have to way too long for our order. Overpriced but typical for Santana Row.

Yelp
I came with my friends this past Saturday for a late galentines dinner and let me tell you - Pizza Antica did not disappoint! We put our name down around 7:30 PM and were told it would be around a 45 minute wait and that the host will text us when our table was ready. We walked around Santana Row in the meantime and once we got the text, we ran straight there. Our server was very friendly and took our orders promptly. We started off with a bottle of wine while we waited for our pizzas. - Marghertia Pizza (5/5): I know, this one is so simple. But it's definitely a must have and no matter how many times I get it, it NEVER gets old. The crust was crispy, there was the perfect amount of sauce, and the mozzarella and basil paired perfectly. - Heirloom Potato Pizza (5/5): I was a bit skeptical about a potato pizza but my tastebuds were thanking me for giving it a shot. This pizza had so much flavor and I was savoring every bite. Also a must get!! The pizzas were around $22 each, which was pretty worth it because my friends and I were stuffed sharing just 2. The ambiance is really nice and would be perfect for a date night or just a nice night out with your friends. I'm looking forward to taking my boyfriend here in the (very) near future :)

Yelp
I visited Pizza Antica again since my friend and I needed a spot to meet up at to catch up, and she agrees- even though it's easy to balk at the Santana Row restaurant prices, this spot does it for her. We ordered the heirloom potato pizza, and it was so good we ordered another one to go. The truffle oil flavor is delicious, and the crust is so chewy. We also got pepperoni on top for some protein and delicious cured meat flavor. The potatoes were the perfect consistency- not too mushy and not too hard. They soaked up the flavor of the truffle oil amazingly. The waiters are incredibly attentive and are always refilling your water glasses and asking how you're doing/if you need anything else. If you need a place to go to after your workout class on Santana Row or giving your credit card a workout at the stores in Valley Fair, this is it.

Yelp
Decent place and great ambiance. Overall, good food but nothing to write home about. Burrata & Arugula (3/5) - basic ehh Heirloom Potato Pizza (4/5) - unique Gnocchi (3/5) - filling and pretty good flavor Cacio e Pepe fries (4.5/5) - seasoned well and crispy

Yelp
This review is for a quick take out experience. We were craving pizza and some Italian food and looked around and decided to try out Pizza Antica. We ordered right when they opened (11:30am). I went to go pick it up and arrived at around 11:50am and they were busy! Like half of the restaurant was filled and many of the outside seats were filled. They had a wait outside the door and I could see many to-go bags sitting there. Went home and the food was excellent. The margarita pizza was as classically good. The potato gnocchi was rich and delicate, and the side salad was an expression of ingredients that worked very well together. Pizza antica is a restaurant that I'd want to try in person next time I get a chance.

Yelp
Have been a frequent favorite for years and haven't been here in awhile. Order the arugula salad, funnel sausage and potato pizza. Love that they offer gluten free pizza options aswell. Service here is always great. One down fall is that Santana row is now charging for parking over 2 hours.
google avatar

Laila K.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots in Santana Row!! Been coming here for years. The gnocchi is a MUST try! Delicious and flavorful. I like to pair it with a shareable pizza. The margherita is very good. I do like to "create my own" and usually order a Bianca "white" pizza with arugula and prosciutto. Delicious. The outdoor seating is lovely for people watching. Service is good, there is usually a wait to be seated of at least 30 minutes but you can just put your name down with the host and go walk or shop around while you wait! A must try!
google avatar

Prath C.

Yelp
Returned here for a second time and the experience was the same! We came here on a Friday night for dinner. There was a short wait and we were seated relatively quickly. Our server was very friendly and patient and ambiance was very lively and warm! We ordered: - di Stefano Burrata - the bread was delicious and tasted great when combined with the burrata and arugula with balsamic vinegar - House-made Focaccia - the Focaccia was absolutely delicious and a great combination with balsamic vinegar that it is served with - Handmade Potato and Ricotta Gnocchi - Reordered this again and it tasted just as good as last time - the gnocchi was chewy and with the gravy, the mozzarella bits and arugula, tasted yummy. - Margherita Pizza - a solid margherita pizza, the cheese chunks, basil and tomato sauce was flavorful. The crust was thin and delicious. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back again in the future to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
Went out to Santana Row for lunch and a walk around with the hubby and my youngest and decided on pizza. I saw this restaurant on Yelp and am very happy that we went. The restaurant is a good size and has indoor and outdoor seating. In case you go at night, they also have heaters available. Our server, APRIL, was very attentive and made some really good recommendations. Here is what we had: Arancini: tomato, basil, mozzarella di bufula, grana padano - this was good, even better when you cut in half, add some of the grated Parmesan cheese inside and some pepper....perfect Warm Brussels Sprouts Salad: bacon, hard-cooked egg, caramelized onion, croutons, red wine vinaigrette - I usually like my brussel sprouts baked and crispy but this was a delightful surprise. It was actually good enough to become a meal of we hadn't ordered so much. Caesar Salad: grana padano, croutons - nothing tastes better than house made dressing and croutons. This is one of the better Caesar salads that I have had. The dressing was perfect with a good balance, the croutons were perfect Spaghettini: Tomato conserva, garlic, basil, meatballs - This was sooo delish...the sauce has a nice earthy flavor while the meatballs were ahhhmazing! My hubby is a meatball person and he said these hit the spot. Pancetta Pizza: Calabrian chili tomato sauce, mozzarella, oregano - this was also super yummy. I love the crust style and their pizza sauce was just perfect. All in all, we will definitely go back again and try other things. If you are in the area, I suggest you try it too.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our meal at Pizza Antica as the outdoor seating created the perfect vibe, our waiters were so lovely, and the food was DELICIOUS! We had to try the three dishes recommended to us... The burrata and arugula was nothing incredibly special but was light and a great starter, the caesar salad was one of the best I've had, and the pizza was the main event. It was so delicious and I would recommend adding sausage (like we did) or prosciutto! Would definitely recommend this place if you are a sucker for good pizza crust and we will be back!
google avatar

Kenzie T.

Yelp
I work on Santana row so we come here ALL the time. The pizza here is top tier, the best around. My favorite dishes are the focaccia and the gnocchi. Surprising tried the fried chicken and it was also delicious. The cocktails are only, wine is usually a better option here. Service is fast and always kind!
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Ordered the pear pizza to try and it was the perfect combination of sweet and salty! Didn't know what to expect ordering fruit on a pizza but the sweet freshness was a pleasant surprise and I would definetly recommend! One pizza was enough for two people to share and we opted not to order appetizers since they were smaller and almost the same price as the pizza. Tips: - if you're into it, ask for hot oil on the side! For me, this always takes pizza to the next level

Tamir B.

Yelp
The dessert was amazing. The food was really good. Service was exactly how it supposed to be not too much and not too low. Definitely will come back again. Yourself a favour take your date here!

Yelp
Ironically, was not here for the pizza. Just wanted to have a quick refreshment after hours of shopping in Santana Row. Calstelvetrano olives were above and beyond! Some might think how can olives be that special at a pizza restaurant, but these were truly mind-blowing; a perfect mid-afternoon snacking portion, plump, crispy, fresh, and most importantly savory but not salty at all olives!! As a olive lover I hate those mushy, salty and oily textured ones. I think the kick was the orange peel and that citrusy fragrance all over the olives. Don't know what magic the kitchen uses in this, but that aroma and subtle yet striking hint of citrus made me go mmmmm til the very last piece!! One immaterial but unforgettable flaw: weirdly all of the servers including the hostess asked us if we have been here before. If it was some unique restaurant that requires guidance for ordering I would have felt thankful, but come on it's just a casual pizza place.. After being asked 4 times during my short 40min stay, I felt as if I failed them not coming in before LOL. If this is a way to track revisitors, consider stop doing it.

Yelp
I returned to Pizza Antica after not having been to the Santana Row location in about a decade. Service was great, the menu changed a bit, I didn't see the crostini option to add to their Caesar salad which was one of my faves. Otherwise the pizza was still tasty and flavorful, the ambiance relaxing (was a quiet weeknight), the chocolate chip cookie was delicious, and I left full and content. Pros: Delicious pizza, salads and good selection of drinks/cocktails Cons: Can be quite a wait at prime times like Friday/Saturday night
google avatar

Anusha S.

Yelp
Went to Pizza Antica on a Wednesday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. There is lots of parking in Santana Row parking garages. We went up to the host and were seated inside after a couple minutes. We split the food and got the Handmade Potato Ricotta Gnocchi and the Create your own pizza with pesto base and ricotta and then olives on one side and potato on the other. Gnocchi was delicious. It was warm and soft and the cream/sauce was delicious. Create your own pizza was good. It was my first time trying pesto pizza and I enjoyed it! Can't go wrong with it. The waitress gave us free vanilla gelato for my friend's birthday and it was delicious (tasted more like ice cream). I would definitely return when I am craving Italian in the South Bay!

Yelp
My go-to for good food that accommodates a vegetarian diet and outdoor seating for dogs! Love doing outdoor seating when it's sunny to take in the fun vibes of Santana Row, and the indoor seating is cozy as well. The service here is always great; attentive to the point of bringing a bowl of water for our dogs. My favorite items on the menu are the heirloom potato pizza and the ricotta and potato gnocchi. The thin slices of potato and caramelized onions make for a tasty and unique pizza. The ricotta adds a softer, creamy texture to the gnocchi and it's incredible paired with the tomato-based sauce.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a friend to catch up and munch. There was no wait on a Tuesday evening but the place was pretty full and seems like a popular spot. Dim lighting created a nice, elevated ambiance. We ordered a few plates to share, starting with the burrata which came with really good focaccia that was sliced and then toasted to give that soft but crispy texture. Paired perfectly with the creamy burrata and dressed arugula on the side. The gnocchi sauce was actually quite delicious, but I didn't love the texture of the actual gnocchi. Usually, gnocchi is more glutinous with a bite to it but these were a bit mushy and had a starchy/grainy texture. It wasn't bad, but I just wouldn't advertise it as gnocchi. It was a good vessel for the pesto and tomato based sauce it came with. We got two pizzas - the Pancetta and the Fennel / Sausage. Both were delicious and came with a garlic cream sauce base. Fennel and sausage is never a bad combo, especially with the mushrooms and onion. But my favorite was the pancetta. I really liked the flavor of the Calabrian chili and the mozarella was melted perfectly so that the mild salty taste paired great with the other flavors and textures. I will say I was hoping for that doughy, airy crust that this style of pizza usually had but it was a bit dense. Still really yummy though! I also got a dirty gin martini. Not the best I've ever had and the olives were not pitted. Not the worst, but not notable. Overall, I think the flavors of all the dishes we had were really tasty! There were just some texture preferences I have that were not met. One other thing to note is that the noise level was high, which doesn't bother me personally but I know it's a make or break for some. I'd definitely come back to have the focaccia with the burrata again and try some of the other pizzas.

Yelp
Our party of 4 came on a Saturday night with a 1 hour wait - typical of any Santana Row restaurant on a weekend evening. Pizza Antica has both indoor and outdoor patio seating (akin to pandemic times) but we chose an indoor table to escape the breeze. Decor is moody but refined for a pizza spot, and our waitress was welcoming and attentive. We ordered two drinks, a very light sangria and a very heavy La Colomba. Crusts of both pizzas were pretty up to snuff, with the authentic pizza oven char and a solid undercarriage. Heirloom Potato Pizza - my personal favorite. Potatoes were nice and thin, and the truffle oil and cheese tied everything together in a decadent fashion. Sweet Corn Pizza - a crowd favorite, but I felt the pancetta was way too salty to be balanced out by the corn, which made it a little harder for me to enjoy. You'll probably like it if you're a devoted enough corn fan like some people I know, though. The length of the wait time left a little more to be desired, but standards were more than met. Whether it's date night or a dinner with friends, this is definitely a cute semi-casual spot for elevated pizza.

Yelp
I went to visit during my lunch break since I work next door. I decided to sit outside to enjoy the sunny weatherthe waitress was so sweet and the service was great but more on the slower side. Everything was perfect. The salad was so good! And the fried chicken breast! I love the texture and the seasoning. It was crispy on the outside and tender in the middle. It was super sweet the waitress offered to get my sprite to go. However after I asked for the check and received it I had asked if they do Apple Pay and she said yes-I'll be right back so you can pay. I waited about 8 minutes and in the corner of my eye she was with another table. Because I was in a hurry I got up and took matters in my own hands. As I went in, the workers were very attentive. But my thing is don't say you'll be right back when you can or you can be apologetic for taking a long time. That's what I would do. I love this place but i think I prefer to take it to go

Yelp
After the manager contacted me and asked me to give the restaurant a second shot, I took my husband and daughter with me for a Friday night dinner. Everything was great! The pizzas were so delicious and brought to the table so quickly, even with a packed restaurant. My favorite thing was definitely the meatballs. I had it as a meal. Like the previous time, I really have to compliment the service at this place. Everyone is friendly and very professional and accommodating. Will be back!

Yelp
I looooooove this place. I've been coming here for my whole life and it never fails to impress me. Huge recommendation. ( if your a kid get the kids penne pasta with red sauce, it's to die for). The ambience of the place is good to it's kinda dark and moody but still good. The service was great too they were very friendly and polite and the food came super fast.

Yelp
Came here looking for a doggie friendly restaurant to eat with my family and I was pleased! My family ordered focaccia, pasta, margarita pizza and a potato pizza with pepperoni and sausage. We also got the blood orange lemonade, sangria and pear cocktail. The potato pizza with pepperoni and sausage was def the favorite for me. The potatoes had a slight buttery umami-ness to them and it paired well with the additional meat toppings we got on it. The margarita was a standard margarita pizza, nothing too surprising with it. I do have to say thinking back to these pizzas they were not that hot when they came out, it would have been yummier if it was hotter! The focaccia paired well with the pasta, but I did feel like it was a bit basic. Focaccia is a pass on me next time. Pasta was decent but not mind blowing. The sangria was very light and refreshing compared to a lot darker sangrias I've had. However, I feel like the fruit flavors of the sangria weren't really there. Overall, I'd come here for the pizza if I had to find somewhere to accommodate my dog.

Yelp
Pizza Antica is one of the few places in SJ whose pizza I like. This restaurant is in Santana Row, there's some solid outdoor seating and the interior is dark, moody, and classy. I've gotten food delivered from here and eaten in, and I've not been disappointed either way. Last few times I've come here after work (from another Italian restaurant), so you know it's good! Last two times, specifically, my server was Jefferson, and the service was really good. Jefferson stayed on top of things, there was effective pacing and attention to our table, and he was very personable. I mostly just get pizza here, so I can't speak to the pasta. But the pancetta sweet corn pizza is really flavorful, and balances sweet and salty, and umami from the onions. The heirloom potato pizza shmacks; the caesar salad is perfect; the meatballs have really good sauce; and the burrata never disappoints. This is definitely a go-to spot, never had to wait to be seated here either, plus the bathroom is tidy.

Yelp
-Let's talk about this potato pizza so elevated, so indulgent. The crust? Perfectly blistered. The potatoes? Crispy, tender, buttery heaven. I shared it... but I really didn't want to. If you order this, just know you're not gonna want to share. Fair warning. -And the gnocchi? Wow. So rich and flavorful, tossed in a creamy pesto sauce that melted in my mouth. If you're a gnocchi lover like me, this is the kind of dish you don't forget. -My drink was super refreshing and balanced; definitely something l'd order again to complement all the flavors. -was a super cute date place and located in the row made it the perfect spot before enjoying the night. -staff were sweet and felt nice and fresh inside and thatsss important to me

Yelp
The fried chicken entree is not what you would expect to taste so dang good! Considering this is an Italian/pizzeria eatery, one would probably overlook this entree. But trust me, it is delicious and so is their potato pizza! These two dishes just keep bringing me back here!

Yelp
A bit of a wait time (understandable because we had a big group). Food looked and tasted good, I liked the spinach calzone more than I thought I would and was very filling.

Yelp
My first time at Pizza Antica was for a Charles Schwab and Moss Adams dinner party on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Confession: I was initially apprehensive about the dinner because I can't really eat pizza anymore (insert weeping and broken heart emojis here), but at the end of the night, I left very pleasantly surprised by the experience. Located in Santana Row, I quickly found parking on the second floor of the shopping center's garage and walked not even five minutes to the restaurant. The venue, with wooden chairs and tables [sans tablecloths] and impressive bar, is casual, but upscale for a pizzeria. The establishment offers indoor and outdoor seating of which both areas appeared to be well kept and tidy during my visit. Even the women's restroom was clean. Below is what was served on our personalized menu for the dinner party: STARTERS Meatballs - Matt said that these were the best meatballs that he's ever had. I didn't find them as tasty as I wanted them to be. Shrimp Fritto Misto - Good. There were more pieces of red onion compared to the shrimp, but that was fine with me as I enjoyed the veggies more than the fish. Caesar Salad - Wow, our plates were such generous portions that by the time I finished my greens, I was nearly too full to eat anything else. ENTREES Margherita - Unfortunately, due to my lactose intolerance, I was not able to join in on the pizza enjoyment. Thin pizzas like this always call out to me. You can imagine how my FOMO was hitting the roof. V had a few warmed up leftover slices which he said were good. Fennel Sausage - I took a few leftover slices of this home and enjoyed two reheated slices (after taking a Lactaid) a couple days later. They were scrumptious, even as leftovers. "Everything" - My mouth watered as I watched everyone eat this ooey, gooey cheesy pizza. It looked like I was totally missing out on deliciousness. DESSERT Gelato - Enter sad face emoji here because I had to pass on this, too. In addition to my drink, I did order my own main dish and sweet ending: Strawberry Mint Lemonade - Yum! Fried Chicken - If you like fried chicken, you need to add this BIG PLATE to your bucket list. And calling it a BIG PLATE is no exaggeration! Each of the two crunchy thigh pieces were so giant that this dish could serve as a meal for two persons. They were also lean/absent of fat which was super awesome. I wanted to devour everything on my plate, but I was so full from the Caesar Salad that my stomach allowed me only a few bites. Spruce's Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie - I wouldn't call this a giant cookie, but it was on the bigger, thicker side. I took it home and it was big enough to share with DJ, Z, and V. We liked it. Tasted homemade. I wished that it was a bit more chewy, though. Service was EXCELLENT. Marissa was our server. She was very informative, warm, friendly, and patient. I appreciated that she looked out for me, checking to see if the dairy in the potato puree served with the Fried Chicken as well as the dressing for the Caesar Salad were ok for my tummy to handle. She handled our big party like a pro. I was so impressed by her that I even called the Manager on Duty on August 2, 2024 to applaud Marissa's top notch customer service. Admission: Pizza Antica knocked my socks off. This rarely happens, especially by pizza joints. I told my family that they would love this place and it's another reason to return...soon, I hope!
