Best Restaurants at Santana Row and Valley Fair in San Jose | Eater SF

"Does anything say “comfort food” quite like a hot cheesy slice? Pizza Antica’s Italian-style thin-crust pies and wood-fired oven match their mission to embody the classic Roman pizzeria. You don’t need a discerning palate to taste the quality. Partnering with local farmers, ranchers, meat curers, cheese producers, and bakers, the local ingredients earn the restaurant a wholesome rustic flavor. As for toppings, try the heirloom potato pizza or the spicy fennel sausage, though they’ve got all the classic standbys, too. And if you don’t mind getting cozy with your carbs, go ahead and order a side of spaghettini or gnocchi while you’re there." - Johanna Harlow

Pizza Antica at Santana Row is a great place to relax and enjoy delicious food. The pizza is always fresh and flavorful, and the drinks are excellent. The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, with friendly service and a perfect location for people-watching. A great spot for a casual meal or evening out.

Google
Pizzas are great here, fairly priced and very large. Salads were also good. Service was prompt, although they did make a few mistakes but one of the servers was interning. Overall highly recommend, sitting outside is best.

Google
Great food, friendly staff, and an unbeatable location in the heart of Santana Row. Pizza Antica has a lively vibe and consistently good dishes. A perfect stop for lunch, dinner, or just relaxing with friends. Definitely worth checking out!

Google
Good chew of the bite. I liked the margherita the most actually. The other two needed a bit more sauce or chili oil. But this is classic, tasty Neapolitan pizza. Comes out quick.

My friend and I went here for early lunch and ordered: Homemade Focaccia Peach Wild Arugula Salad Potato and Ricotta Gnocchi Raspberry Limeade 2x We were attended by Rianna, who was very attentive, helpful, and warm. She provided great recommendations, and we’re very happy with all the choices we ended up having, apart from the Raspberry Limeade, which was a little bit sweet for both of us. We just kept adding cold water to lessen the sweetness. And the waiting was decent, the salad and gnocchi were very much recommended to try or order when you visit. And we’re overall pleased with the service, the food, and the drinks. Happy to recommend 😊🙏

Google
In the heart of Santana Row, Pizza Antica is a welcome gem. This is the closest thing to Italian food that you’ll find on the Row, but let it be known that this is more of a pizza menu than Italian restaurant menu. Doesn’t make it any less great! So let’s talk food- The arancini are large and packed with flavor. This is a must get. All of the salads are great - and perfect for sharing! Highly recommend the Caesar or the peach and arugula. Now, pizza! They are a class act with their thin crust. Crispy, burnt edges but still chewy… perfect (for those that like their pizza that way). Highly recommend the Margherita pizza and the Fennel Sausage (ask to add red sauce, trust me). Both have tons of flavor and are perfect to share or have on your own. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Will be back for many more evenings on their outdoor patio!

Google
We order out from here a lot. Typically like it— the pizza is expensive, but good. Will think twice next time. Found a rubber band in the meatball sauce my son was eating.

Google
Went here last weekend. Lively atmosphere, and the best focaccia and margarita pizza I’ve had recently. Would definitely visit again. Mulled wine could be warmer, but tasted great. :)

Yelp
The potato heirloom pizza, burratta, margarita pizza are to always a hit !! Love Pizza Antica -- The burrata is always fresh goes well with warm breads. Their gnocchi is comforting and absolutely delicious. Affogato, Tiramisu and coffee make the perfect ending to the meal. The ambience is great both inside and outside -- perfect in any weather to come with family or friends for formal dining or casual dining.

Yelp
The pizzas were not bad and cocktails were fine. The prices were also decent. Nothing was mind blowing, but nothing was disappointing either. The prices were reasonable, especially for the area. In fact, the total cost of food for our group was somehow cheaper than one round of drinks, which felt like a small victory. The restaurant had a nice modern decor and seem to be super popular - at least the night we went. It was absolutely packed when we went, which is always a good sign, or at least a sign that other people had the same lack of reservations that we did. We ended up sitting outside because the wait time was shorter, a decision that felt optimistic at first and questionable shortly after. There were heat lamps, but they were more decorative than functional, and the cold definitely made itself known. In general Santana row is super nice (esp coming from someone who lives in SF), and this pizza spot is not a bad place to grab a relatively affordable bite if you want something casual with a slightly elevated ambiance. That said, if we had more options that night or a reservation elsewhere, our group probably would have chosen a different spot.

Yelp
Pizza Antica is such an underrated restaurant. The food and service here is consistently good every time I've come here - and I come here a lot since my apartment is right upstairs. My usual favorites are the fried chicken, calabrese sausage pizza, and arugula salad. I tried the handmade pappardelle for the first time today and it was also delicious! Definitely a solid spot to dine in Santana Row without having to break the bank. They also have TVs at the bar so people come to grab a drink and watch Niners / Warriors games.

Yelp
Coming here on a week night meant we were seated right away. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. The inside is quite spacious and clean. Our waiter was very helpful in describing the dishes and offering recommendations. I really enjoyed the food we ordered. The margarita pizza tasted fresh with the basil added and the dough was chewy and crispy. This paired perfectly with the calabrese pizza. That pizza had hints of spice and the ricotta absolutely melted in your mouth; it was so flavorful. The focaccia bread was a good appetizer to share and had a tasty balsamic and vinegar drizzle to dip the bread in.

Yelp
Love going to Pizza Antica, esp in the fall and winter when Santana Row decorates. The restaurant has a casual, but still upscale vibe inside. It has a cozy and romantic vibe because they keep the lights somewhat dim. We planned to go and order the arancini which my husband and I love, but we were surprised when the waitress notified they recently changed the menu and it was pulled. Instead I ordered the gnocchi based on her recommendation and it was heavenly... comfort food to the max! My husband ordered the pizza which is always a safe go-to. ;) He also had the elderflower mocktail and he enjoyed that.

Yelp
I personally really like pizza antica, especially there sausage fennel pizza. I also tried the potato pizza, that ones decent, not my favorite. Only gripe is that the price has gone up every time I've went over the years, but that's inflation for ya.

Yelp
This is a cute spot right on Santana Row that won't entirely break the bank. The whole menu is about $20-30. Our wait for a table for 2 on a Friday night at 6pm was not bad at all -- about 20 minutes. As for the food, everything was yummy and fresh but THE POTATO RICOTTA GNOCCHI STOLE THE SHOW! So so so good, the gnocchi itself seemed to be cooked in a pesto, then laid on a creamy tomato sauce and topped with balsamic dressed arugula -- the layers of flavor! I remember enjoying the Heirloom Potato pizza more last time as I felt it was lacking in flavor. Overall a cute date night spot with solid food!
google avatar

Su T.

Yelp
Definitely come here if you have a simple palate because nothing here has any extra ordinary flavor besides an assortment of cheese! My friend adores pesto and pasta, so the Potato and Ricotta Gnocchi was what I tried alongside her. It is her absolute favorite! However it fell flat for me but I did enjoy the chewiness and the overall texture. It would've been better had they added mushrooms or a protein in this dish to give it more dimension in my opinion.

Yelp
We stopped by this place wanting something simple and filling in Santana Row, and Pizza Antica delivers just that. I think ultimately I wouldn't say this is prime Italian dining, but they make an effort to serve visually appealing plates and I enjoyed our filling meal with a salad, two shared pastas and a drink for a reasonable price given this area. Service was attentive, and I appreciate being seated last minute outdoors under a heat lamp without a reservation. The place is for sure busy indoors so I recommend making a reso if you can plan ahead.

Yelp
Pizza Antica, in the charming Santana Row shopping center, is a little piece of Italy in the middle of high-end shopping and eats. I was here for a work dinner, so our large team ordered a little bit of everything on the menu. Of the starters, I love the Peach and Wild Arugula Salad. So light and refreshing, and the di Stefano Burrata was so rich and creamy. Try to potato pizza, which has a subtle truffle flavor which paired surprisingly well. The corn pizza was sweet with sliced chilis, truly the perfect sweet and savory combo! The classic Margherita had a unique, almost slightly sweet, tomato sauce which was so delicious. I paired my food with the sangria, which was light and fruity!

Yelp
It's hard to find potato pizza in San Jose. Discovered Pizza Antica at Santana Row has an Heirloom Potato Pizza and decided to give it a try. I added chicken to the pizza and had it delivered. It was wonderful. The crust was thin, and so were the slices of potato. The truffle oil added a nice flavor and I loved the caramelized onions. I was worried the added chicken might not go well with the pizza, but it tasted delicious. It was so filling I could only eat two slices, but I'm looking forward to leftovers.

Yelp
This place doesn't have quite the chewiness in their crust like in Doppio or Vesta's but their potato pizza is outstanding. The cheese, thin potatoes, and truffle blends together so well as a pizza.

Julianna E.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night and the wait was around 15 minutes. To start, we had the peach arugula salad, which was super tasty with a nice hint of sweetness from the peach. We also ordered two pizzas, the Margherita and the Heirloom Potato. Both were really flavorful and absolutely delicious. The potato pizza had a unique flavor that stood out, I highly recommend trying it! The staff were also really friendly, and the interior was really nice. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a tasty pizza place!

Yelp
I really like the pizza here, but I wouldn't give the pizza alone 5 stars. There are better pizza places to go to if all you want is pizza. This place deserves 5 stars because of everything else that it has to offer. For starters, my wife and I opted for the focaccia bread. This appetizer is sectioned off into cubes with olive oil and vinegar drizzled around the bread. This bread is a great way to start - especially if you are not ordering pizza .If you are getting a pizza, I would recommend any of their other appetizers to switch things up. For my entree , I ordered the gnocchi , and I have to tell you that this is the best version of this dish that I have ever tried. Perfectly pan fried, these potato delights have a nice texture on the outside while staying soft on the inside. The accompanying sauce and peppery arugula make for a delicious texture and flavor profile. I highly recommend! My wife ordered the spaghettini with meatballs. Being half Sicilian-I know a good meatball and Pizza Antica delivers. You can see the chunks of garlic in every bite , and this comfort dish hits the spot! I was too full for dessert, but Pizza Antica offers a few different options if you so choose. We had fast, efficient service from Jasmine, and our total bill was around 90.00 for a beer , soda, appetizer, 2 entrees, and a coffee to go. I love this place, and I will definitely be back when I am craving their gnocchi! See you there!

Yelp
I've been here a few times over the years. Hadn't been back in a while. It does get busy on the weekends but they will text you when your table is ready. We sat outside and it was pretty. We also were able to get some photos of us outside that turned out good. We ordered the potato pizza and the arugula peach salad for the 3 of us. The pizzas are generous and aren't too expensive. We each had 2 good slices of pizza. If hungry, you'll probably want to order more than what we had but it was a good portion for us. I don't like to eat too much pizza as the carbs can set you in a food coma! The food did take a while but there was some technical error. But our waitress came out and apologized and said the food would be coming. A nice spot to hang out with friends.
google avatar

Evan W.

Yelp
A cute, busy spot along Santana Row! Be sure to go early - we had to wait 45 minutes on a Friday evening. The gnocchi had good texture but was a bit under seasoned. The sauce definitely did the heavy lifting. As for the pizza, the crust was really good but the pizza lacked depth. This spot is a little bit on the pricier side due to its location, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the cheaper options on Santana Row. Overall a nice spot to go to!

Yelp
We visited Pizza Antica recently and it was a great experience. I've visited Pizza Antica a few times and it's been a good experience each time. This time we had a group of 6, and I called 30 minutes in advance to be added to the waitlist. I arrived before my family and checked in with the host, and they said that we could be seated once half the party showed up. Two of our guests were quite late, so we ordered two appetizers to share. The rosemary focaccia was warm and toasty, although we would have liked more olive oil. We also ordered the cacio e pepe fries and those were quite a hit. Flavorful, crispy, and delicious, the cacio e pepe fries were finished pretty quickly. We also ordered two salads and three pizzas to share. Both salads were okay, the little gem lettuce salad had some wilted pieces and caesar salad was fine. The heirloom potato pizza with white truffle oil is my go-to, and was tasty and comforting. The summer corn pizza with basil & peppers was a good pizza too. We somehow ordered too much food, and had nearly a whole pizza to take home with us. The customer service was excellent and our server was friendly and attentive. I didn't catch his name unfortunately, but he was quite welcoming and helpful during our meal. The restaurant was quite busy for a late Saturday lunch, but we had an enjoyable meal and did not feel rushed while eating. I'd definitely return as Pizza Antica changes their menu and pizza options on a fairly regular basis, and it's one of our favorite restaurants. Definitely recommend going to Pizza Antica for lunch or dinner if you're at Santana Row.

Yelp
Very solid spot for pizza and a good option for Santana Row dining. Can get a bit crowded so there can be a wait. Lively but cozy dining room, great for a date. All their pizzas are delicious, but I'm particularly fond of their Heirloom Potato Pizza which is pretty unique. And their Cacio e Pepe Fries are addicting. Great cocktails too!
google avatar

Shreya W.

Yelp
The sun dried tomato cream sauce in the gnochhi was amazing and the calzone was also yum. I've never seen a calzone at any italian restaurant so def a first. Pizza was classic yum. Great ambiance with christmas decor and fast service
google avatar

Donna T.

Yelp
The best potato pizza I've tried. I usually get the heirloom potato and add pancetta to it. The truffle oil cohesively binds everything together. I do wish there were more pasta options, as I thought the gnocchi was average, though I usually love gnocchi. But if you're coming to Pizza Antica, it's for their pizza! They have some nice cocktails as well that rotate. Make a reservation!

Yelp
The family came here on a Saturday evening around 7:30PM. The waitlist wasn't long. We put our name down and were told it was a 30 min wait. Around 20 min of perusing Santana Row, we got the text message to come back because our table was ready. The hostesses were friendly and the place is family friendly. We sat down and immediately were given water and menus, and our waiter was very nice putting in our drink order early. We ordered the potato and ricotta gnocchi, fennel sausage pizza (our go to pizza), cacio e pepe fries, and blackberry thyme lemonade. The lemonade was on the tart side, but it helped balance the rich and heavy dishes. The gnocchi pasta was nice and bouncy with a refreshing arugula salad on top, and everything was sitting in well done creamy tomato sauce. The pieces of gnocchi were rather large and the dish would be next level if they were more traditional size IMO. The side fries were dusted and covered in pecorino cheese so cheese lovers would love this crispy and cheesy side dish. The fennel sausage pizza is our go to because it's nice and airy with the veggies and savory with the bits of sausage which everyone can enjoy. The restaurant has dimmed lights in the dining area vs the kitchen was brightly lit. You'll feel comfortable dining, while aware of the busy kitchen making the delicious dishes.
google avatar

Sophia C.

Yelp
A good to-go place when you done shopping at Santana Row. The pizza was amazing, we added prosciutto on top of the fennel sausage mushroom pizza, very flavorful but not too salty at all. The spaghetti was also good. Service was good. Ambiance was good.
google avatar

Trini S.

Yelp
Service was great, but the food wasn't too great. 45 min wait for walk in, not too bad/to be expected. Based on my experience, I wouldn't return unless for maybe appetizer and drinks at the bar. The vibe inside was cute, just not worth the mediocre food when there are so many other options.
google avatar

Saleen L.

Yelp
Still a solid place and one of me/my hubby's go to at the row. We usually opt for bar seating now to avoid the chaos and wait times, which is legit even crazier nowadays with the nicer weather. New order hackkkkkk - MARGHERITA pizza....BUT ADD SAUSAGE! Sooooo goood. All the freshness of a MARGHERITA pizza with just a tad bit of meat (but not too much, my usual issue with carnivore pizza is that there's so much meat it tends to lean overly salty). Meatballs are still bomb, Cacio Pepe fries are tasty, cheesy and perfectly peppery; while the seasonal salad with egg was a yummy refreshing addition.
google avatar

Anu P.

Yelp
Heirloom potato pizza is REALLY REALLY good .. made me almost give them 5 stars. Also like their gnocchi but if you're only eating gnocchi it gets one dimensional half way through the dish. I have friends that LOOOVE this place, but the wait time is KILLER. 1-2 hour wait for pizza ??!! the ambiance is nice but I'd take slice house so that there's no wait. Also some of the seasonals are weird. Distinctly remember not loving a calzone and some pear blue cheese pizza. Caesar salad is also refreshingly good?? idk why it hits different

Yelp
My partner and I came here for dinner around 5:30 PM during Mother's Day weekend and were seated right away. Our server was incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The Elder Statesman cocktail was recommended by our server after I mentioned I wanted something on the sweeter side -- and it hit the mark. We especially enjoyed the sausage mushroom pizza -- the cumin flavors really stood out -- though it was a bit on the salty side. The fries were also excellent; we devoured them!

Yelp
I came with my friends this past Saturday for a late galentines dinner and let me tell you - Pizza Antica did not disappoint! We put our name down around 7:30 PM and were told it would be around a 45 minute wait and that the host will text us when our table was ready. We walked around Santana Row in the meantime and once we got the text, we ran straight there. Our server was very friendly and took our orders promptly. We started off with a bottle of wine while we waited for our pizzas. - Marghertia Pizza (5/5): I know, this one is so simple. But it's definitely a must have and no matter how many times I get it, it NEVER gets old. The crust was crispy, there was the perfect amount of sauce, and the mozzarella and basil paired perfectly. - Heirloom Potato Pizza (5/5): I was a bit skeptical about a potato pizza but my tastebuds were thanking me for giving it a shot. This pizza had so much flavor and I was savoring every bite. Also a must get!! The pizzas were around $22 each, which was pretty worth it because my friends and I were stuffed sharing just 2. The ambiance is really nice and would be perfect for a date night or just a nice night out with your friends. I'm looking forward to taking my boyfriend here in the (very) near future :)

Yelp
ESPRESSO MARTINIS. PIZZA. PASTA. SALAD. The combination of having a good meal. I absolutely love Pizza Antica for many reasons. One being that not only is their food good but I would come here just to have 5 espresso martinis -- because they are just that good!! I was informed by the bartender that the coffee used in their espresso martinis are freshly brewed in house. It's something you can't miss when you come. Their food has always been consistent throughout the many times of visiting. My go to order is the following: - Heirloom potato pizza ($23) - Fennel Sausage pizza ($26) - Caesar salad with chicken ($25) - Fried chicken ($29) - ESPRESSO MARTINIS ($18) *In the summer time they offer a summer corn pizza -- Must try when it's available. * The service is always amazing and I love how there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, I would recommend coming here.

Parin K.

Yelp
Love this place. Who knew potatoes on a pizza can taste this good! Their focaccia is one of the best I've had. Wood fired pizzas are great as well. Great location too. Casual and bustling place - just how I like it

P L.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is aesthetically pleasing with nice service. The food was bomb though! I wouldn't get the gnocchi again due to all the arugula on top, but other than that everything was delicious.
google avatar

Lore M.

Yelp
Really busy place with long wait time. Our host told us 30-45 minute wait time, when checking after 30 minutes she told us 20-30 minutes its like they kept adding time on our wait. The hosts are not friendly. We came with a party of 3 but they sat us at a 2 person table until a bigger table came available.. Our server was really nice and cool and understood us being frustrated. The alcohol pours are stingy. Food is delicious though, great flavor, good quality ingredients. The gnocchi and arancini is amazing! Didn't have to way too long for our order. Overpriced but typical for Santana Row.
google avatar

Anisha Y.

Yelp
I love Italian food, and Pizza Antica is by far my favorite restaurant. The combination of the potato pizza, gnocchi, and Elder Statesman is divine. It's a great spot for special occasions--the only challenge can be the wait, but they also have nice bar seating.
google avatar

Negar T.

Yelp
Absolutely loved everything! The pizza was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of cheese and flavor. The pasta was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. And the salad--so fresh and delicious, especially with the shrimp on top, which added the perfect touch! You can really tell they use quality ingredients. Great service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Always a wonderful experience, ambiance is nice. Food is excellent, and drinks are great.

Yelp
Have been a frequent favorite for years and haven't been here in awhile. Order the arugula salad, funnel sausage and potato pizza. Love that they offer gluten free pizza options aswell. Service here is always great. One down fall is that Santana row is now charging for parking over 2 hours.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
Ordered the pear pizza to try and it was the perfect combination of sweet and salty! Didn't know what to expect ordering fruit on a pizza but the sweet freshness was a pleasant surprise and I would definetly recommend! One pizza was enough for two people to share and we opted not to order appetizers since they were smaller and almost the same price as the pizza. Tips: - if you're into it, ask for hot oil on the side! For me, this always takes pizza to the next level
google avatar

Prath C.

Yelp
Returned here for a second time and the experience was the same! We came here on a Friday night for dinner. There was a short wait and we were seated relatively quickly. Our server was very friendly and patient and ambiance was very lively and warm! We ordered: - di Stefano Burrata - the bread was delicious and tasted great when combined with the burrata and arugula with balsamic vinegar - House-made Focaccia - the Focaccia was absolutely delicious and a great combination with balsamic vinegar that it is served with - Handmade Potato and Ricotta Gnocchi - Reordered this again and it tasted just as good as last time - the gnocchi was chewy and with the gravy, the mozzarella bits and arugula, tasted yummy. - Margherita Pizza - a solid margherita pizza, the cheese chunks, basil and tomato sauce was flavorful. The crust was thin and delicious. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back again in the future to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
What a great restaurant. We were visiting from LA and were looking for Italian with gluten free options. The gluten free pasta was amazing and same for the gluten free pizza. This was a fantastic place to have lunch. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and sensitive to the dairy and gluten allergies at the table. Service was very quick and the staff was always around if we needed anything. Drinks were great too! It had a cute patio and bar area, but we sat in the dining room. I would definitely come back when I'm in town.

Yelp
Went out to Santana Row for lunch and a walk around with the hubby and my youngest and decided on pizza. I saw this restaurant on Yelp and am very happy that we went. The restaurant is a good size and has indoor and outdoor seating. In case you go at night, they also have heaters available. Our server, APRIL, was very attentive and made some really good recommendations. Here is what we had: Arancini: tomato, basil, mozzarella di bufula, grana padano - this was good, even better when you cut in half, add some of the grated Parmesan cheese inside and some pepper....perfect Warm Brussels Sprouts Salad: bacon, hard-cooked egg, caramelized onion, croutons, red wine vinaigrette - I usually like my brussel sprouts baked and crispy but this was a delightful surprise. It was actually good enough to become a meal of we hadn't ordered so much. Caesar Salad: grana padano, croutons - nothing tastes better than house made dressing and croutons. This is one of the better Caesar salads that I have had. The dressing was perfect with a good balance, the croutons were perfect Spaghettini: Tomato conserva, garlic, basil, meatballs - This was sooo delish...the sauce has a nice earthy flavor while the meatballs were ahhhmazing! My hubby is a meatball person and he said these hit the spot. Pancetta Pizza: Calabrian chili tomato sauce, mozzarella, oregano - this was also super yummy. I love the crust style and their pizza sauce was just perfect. All in all, we will definitely go back again and try other things. If you are in the area, I suggest you try it too.

Yelp
Pizza Antica is a beautiful place located at the streets of santana row. They serve amazing food with their amazing service. We tried their couple of pizza's and bread. We also had red wine. All in all everything was pretty decent and delicious.

Yelp
The best option in Santana Row to eat some pizzas! Great environment and service! I super recommend this place
google avatar

Elizabeth N.

Yelp
Pizza was quite tasty although I don't think the cost is reflective of the food experience I had. Nothing really stood out to me. Flavor profiles were lacking and tasted like any other pizza. It's bad that I prefer Blaze over this place. Not really worth the price to be frank. I recommend to just dine at a hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Pizzas were lackluster and ordinary, dressed in a gucci belt.

Yelp
Wow this pizza was really good. Now I get why this place is always packed! For four people we ordered the cacio e pepe fries, peach arugula salad, and two pizzas. I also got their seasonal strawberry mint lemonade. Everything was soo yummy and the service was impeccable. We arrived right at opening on a Saturday and we were seated right away. Can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Yelp
This is a place we've been going to since childhood. It's been a few years since I've been and we decided to go for one of my good high school friend's birthdays. We went on a Wednesday around 6 pm and got a table easily inside. We ordered: -Di Stefano burrata ($17): this was a nice appetizer and the toast was perfect texture for the burrata. -roasted asparagus and frisee ($18): I really enjoyed this salad. The only thing that really irked me was the soft boiled egg they put, they put only half of one. Like come on. I know eggs are expensive but now we know someone else is getting an old soft boiled egg half or we got the old one. It's lazy and cheap. -heirloom potato pizza ($23): this is usually our favorite pizza but today it was a bit bland. Not much truffle flavor at all. Texture was nice -asparagus ($24): this pizza i quite enjoyed and the lemon flavor really came through nicely. Overall I was a little disappointed but I would come back out of convenience and there were some bright spots. The wait staff were great too. The food came out quite quickly as well.

Yelp
I visited Pizza Antica again since my friend and I needed a spot to meet up at to catch up, and she agrees- even though it's easy to balk at the Santana Row restaurant prices, this spot does it for her. We ordered the heirloom potato pizza, and it was so good we ordered another one to go. The truffle oil flavor is delicious, and the crust is so chewy. We also got pepperoni on top for some protein and delicious cured meat flavor. The potatoes were the perfect consistency- not too mushy and not too hard. They soaked up the flavor of the truffle oil amazingly. The waiters are incredibly attentive and are always refilling your water glasses and asking how you're doing/if you need anything else. If you need a place to go to after your workout class on Santana Row or giving your credit card a workout at the stores in Valley Fair, this is it.

Yelp
One of the few restaurants on The Row that actually has good food imo haha. The food quality and taste is very good. There's not many good pizza spots in the South Bay. The BLT salad was well dressed. The fries portion was big and perfectly crispy. The crust on the pizza was perfect - minimal flop. A lovely summer day to sit on the patio.

Yelp
We ordered the meatballs, gnocchi, the marg and potato pizza. The appetizers were tasty. The gnocchi was soft, chewy, and paired well with the arugula. The meatball was tender, juicy, and had good flavor. As for the pizzas. Although the potato pizza was highly recommended, it fell a little short in my book. I probably wouldn't order it again. The flavors were good, but I don't know if it was my favorite on a pizza. The marg pizza was a safe bet, and I'm happy they did it right. The simplicity of the tomato sauce, cheese, and basil was all I needed.

Yelp
I returned to Pizza Antica after not having been to the Santana Row location in about a decade. Service was great, the menu changed a bit, I didn't see the crostini option to add to their Caesar salad which was one of my faves. Otherwise the pizza was still tasty and flavorful, the ambiance relaxing (was a quiet weeknight), the chocolate chip cookie was delicious, and I left full and content. Pros: Delicious pizza, salads and good selection of drinks/cocktails Cons: Can be quite a wait at prime times like Friday/Saturday night
