I had the wonderful experience of visiting Pizza Birra Vino in Houston, and I'm thrilled to share my thoughts. Despite its cozy size, the warmth and hospitality make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Now, let's talk about the pizza – simply spectacular! The portions are enormous, and the flavor is unparalleled. I can confidently say it's one of the best pizzas I've had in Houston. I highly recommend this place to all pizza enthusiasts. It's a gastronomic experience worth repeating! PS, the pizza was so delicious that I forgot to take a photo of it 🍕🍕🍕

If you’re in the Heights or close to it, and want to experience fresh from the oven, crispy veggies, house made dressings, and staff who truly take pride and love in what they do for anything Italian, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵!!! I’m not a big fan of sandwiches, because well, people (at other places!) usually make them soggy or dry, and well, it’s just a sad sloppy experience, well not here! I tried their chicken Lombardy sandwich and ohhh Lord, it was love at first bite!! The freshness of the bread, the crisp of the veggies in it, the house made dressing, the cut ham 🤤 It was soooo good! I ate half because it was a big portion. I took home the cannoli and the ½ of the sandwich. The cannoli was so so good, not diabetes sweet, but just perfect enough that you could eat probably more than three with no complications (I gave the other cannoli to my son, and he couldn’t get enough of it). The food, the staff and how dedicated they are in what they do truly is remarkable. The owner was not there, and the staff spoke nothing but great things about him! Will do the 30 min ride for more of their food!

Stumbled upon this pizza place after a run in Buffalo Bayou park. The service was excellent and quick without sacrificing quality. Albert, the manager, is a kind man. I missed getting the name of the gentleman who took my order, but he was friendly and gave excellent recommendations. Pizzas pictured are the Vitale and Umberto, both 10/10. Cannolis are homemade and were the best I’ve had since living in New York. We left feeling like this little girl in the picture. Delicious! There is a nice variety of nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including a large wine selection. 100% recommend and will be back!

I’ll cut to the chase… it is pricey, but you are paying for a gourmet pizza and gourmet it is. Their pizzas are fresh and packed with flavor. My favorite is the Il Verde. It is immaculate. Their wings are delicious and their home made ranch is divine. Definitely a must try!

This is my favorite pizza spot in Houston. I don’t usually write reviews but I love to support really amazing businesses. And this one has impressed me. I have a good experience every time, staff is super friendly. Everything I have ordered has been delicious. The ingredients are really high quality and all the sauces are made in house. Two friends recommended this place to me within the same week about 6 months ago and I’ve been back at least every month since. I only eat pizza here now haha highly recommend

We tried a lot of items on the menu because everything sounded delicious and the owner said they use lots of ingredients from Italy and are made fresh. We loved every bite! Two pizzas, a sandwich, and a Greek salad – all delicious including the sauces and scratch made dressings. You’d think we were a group of four but it was just for us two. And It was so good that we only stopped to take one picture. Definitely recommend this place for takeout – our new favorite! Not to mention the staff and owner are super friendly and accommodating.

We've been to this take out twice now and I have to say that everything we've ordered has been delicious. I have to say that my absolute favorite dish is the Bianco pizza - it's simply amazing. Usually, I'm a Margarita kind of person, but this pizza is just too good to pass up. Additionally, they have a great selection of wines from different regions that pair perfectly with their pizzas and pastas. But what really sets this place apart is the staff - they're all so friendly and accommodating. They even helped me customize my orders! We'll definitely be coming back to this restaurant again and again.

Ordered margarita pizza, meat pizza and fettuccine Alfredo. The fettuccine was a large portion and very good. The pizza was made very well but as you know any type of pizza picked up in a box creates a soft crust. I'd love to try this fresh and at the restaurant but they don't have much room to dine in and mainly serve orders to go. It's good in a pinch.

Even though I have lived in Montrose for 2 years, and driven by this place numerous times, I have never stopped in before. But I needed something close to the grocery store and so we decided to stop in and see how it is. I am happy to say this place has really great food! Everyone we spoke with here was super helpful! We started with a greek salad that we split; everything was so fresh tasting and even though we split it, this was still a good portion for each of us. We then opted to do a 16" Molto Pepperoni and add mushrooms on it. The pizza is super tasty and wasn't overly filling, which I love! I like that they offer NY Style, Chicago Deep Dish and Ultra Thin crust, and even offer slices so you can try different things. The sandwiches look amazing and that is what we want to try next! They have a great wine and beer selection, too! There is ample parking here but if you choose to eat in, know that they only have 4 barstools so not a lot of room, but we ate in and were the only ones who did, everyone else seem to do pick up.

First time and won't be the last time. OMG! I love a good pizza and Pizza Birra Bino has taken the #1 spot for my Houston pizza rankings! Incredible pizza, from the amazing crust to the amazing pizza. Owner, Albert, also treated me to a wine tasting of some open bottles. The house cab was my favorite! Can't wait to go back again.

I had a great meal here... a 12" half Con Carne, half Chicken Parmesano. Both sides were delicious. This restaurant is located right next to the Waugh Bridge Bat Colony, so if you want to get a good meal before seeing the bat flight in the evening, stop by this place. I'll definitely come back next time I am in the area.

Local pizza joint located right on the corner of Waugh Dr. and Allen Pkwy was clutch and hit beyond my expectation. I shot my shot at random for better or worse and satisfied my cravings in the nic of time. I checked in on Yelp and was offered a free dessert if I purchased a 16". The boss says "Did you already order? Since you did, I'll send you on your way with a few Homemade Cannolis." It don't get no better. The pizza slices are HUGE, tastes so freaking delicious and will leave your body rocking to a slow sleep once you're finished. ALL fresh ingredients, which makes the size and quality of the pies more than affordable. Stop by and tell them I sent you.

I love this place, the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly! The place is small so only a few seats at the front which is cool and gives it a more exclusive feel. Danilo helped me decide what to get because I couldn't decide at all as I wanted to have everything lol. He suggested the Tuscan Chicken sandwich and it was on point! The flavor of that truffle oil mayo is so good. The ciabatta bread is sooooo good and makes the sandwich taste like heaven. Danilo is awesome and if you're very indecisive when it comes to food he'll make excellent recommendations and your taste buds will be satisfied. Highly recommend!

Ordered pizza and salad for the first time for the office. Everyone LOVED the pizza and the salad. The croutons are the best we've ever had. Definitely will order again. This New Yorker is picky, but I really enjoyed it.

Wonderful pizza and pasta. The delivery is fast and all of the workers are very friendly. This is our weeknight, long day, don't feel like cooking go-to spot, but also great when out with a group exploring the bayou and grabbing food to bring with us. We have never had a bad order, slow delivery, or anything but a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

The food is just amazing, great selection of pastas, appetizers and of course some of the best pizzas in Houston. The wine selection is very good and reasonably priced. Check it out you will be pleased.

The pizza was outstanding!! The owner was a super nice guy and my pizza was ready in a flash. I'll be back!!!

I decided to give them another shot- delivery again. I wasn't ready to try pizza again, but I did reorder the jalapeño cheese bread and tried the large Greek salad this time. Greek salad was a little different than what I expected, but it was super fresh and tasted great. The feta was creamier than with other greek salads, and I kinda liked that! Plus the large size is so big that I got a second meal out of it. Jalapeño cheese bread was decent. This time I had a much better delivery experience. It still took a long time, but the estimated time provided up front was more accurate this time. Also, the delivery person rang my doorbell and handed me the items. Last time, they just left the pizza boxes directly on the ground in front of my apartment (which would've been okay if they were in a bag). So kudos to the delivery person that second time around! I one day I'll venture back inside the restaurant to see if the pizza is better when ordered in person, and I'll update my review again at that time.

We used to go here a lot when it was Pizza L'vino. It was a favorite. Tried it out for the first time last week. We ordered a chicken Parmesan pizza with thin crust and added mushrooms for pickup on our way to a show at Miller outdoor theater. Pizza was ready and waiting when we arrived but missing the added mushrooms. I didn't want to wait to get it corrected so just went with it. Overall we were satisfied with the pizza, but I can't really say it was on par with the former L'vino. Ingredients were a little more scant. That said, we would probably order again on the way to a show, but probably wouldn't go out of or way to get this pizza.

This place has fabulous pizza! Ate there with friends before a show at Stages. We shared the Mykonos pizza and side salad. Everything was fresh made and delicious. The owner stopped by and offered a wine tasting! There's only 4 bar stools so really more of a takeout place. I'm looking forward to him opening a sit down restaurant- they already have the recipes just need the space.

Quality deep dish pizza. It's not quite what you would get in Chicago but it's closer than a lot of the other places around here. The 12-in for $20 may seem like a small pizza for a big price but it can easily feed two if not three people and had lots of toppings. I'd order from here again!

Had been wanting a Hawaiian pizza but didn't want from a big box place. Stumbled across this place on yelp and decided to give a try. Pizza tasted great overall no complaints on that. Went with the 12" which was 25$ pretty pricey. Maybe next time I try I'll buy by the slice since they also have that option. Inside is pretty small also may want to order take out

I absolutely love this place. Everything tastes fresh, they have great toppings for the pizza, amazing pasta, and they have juicy jumbo wings. The owner and staff are always very friendly, great service.

My coworkers and I loved our food so much! The white pizza with broccoli is so delicious. The homemade ranch and marinara were so fresh and really complimented the meal!

Customer service is fire and the food is even better! You can tell they've put a lot of thought into the flavors to create a unique and delicious menu! The homemade sauces really shine! Plus, they offer wine tastings so you know you'll enjoy a glass or a full bottle before you pay! Highly recommend!!!

Pizza L'Vino is back and I'm so excited!! I think they are under new management or something, but the menu at Pizza Birra Vino is the same and the pizza tastes just as good, if not better! I went with the tried and true tonight- NY Hand Tossed Ultra Combo. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the crust was delicious. It was loaded with plenty of toppings unlike some other lesser pizza places *cough* Pink's *cough*. And the toppings had great flavor! My favorite toppings though are the sauteed mushrooms. It makes a huge difference compared to the raw, dry mushrooms. I also loved the Deep Dish pizza at Pizza L'Vino and can't wait to try it here. If the NY style is any indication, the Deep Dish will still be pretty awesome.

Best pizza in Htown! Also if you haven't tried the meatball subs you are missing out.

I wish I knew the owner/manager's name to reference it here but he's awesome. Yesterday I came in and was waiting for my pizza to be done and as all the other chairs in the restaurant were occupied, he went to the back and brought out a chair for me to sit on while I waited. This is my 2nd time picking up food from Birra Vino (both times I've gotten the deep dish pizza and it's delicious and fresh), and both times the owner/manager has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Commendable service.

It's my third time getting pizza from Pizza Birra Vino in the past two weeks. I keep saying I'm going to try different crusts but I love the thin crust so much! I'll post another review when I try the other pies. Everything I've had has been over the top delicious.

Pizza Birra Vino is the best pizza in Houston! The ingredients are fresh, the sausage is amazing and the sauce has the perfect amount of spices!

Their pizza used to be good. However, suddenly I noticed their hours posted on Yelp, Facebook, and their own website are not current. Google states they open at 4 PM on Saturdays, everywhere else says 11 AM. I will not trust them until they iron it out. I live in Houston, despite what the post says.

Well... I've lived in Houston for 5 years and have been looking for a place that serves really good pizza. A foodie town with mediocre pizza. NOT Pizza Birra Vino! Took me 5 years to find it, but damn was it worth it! Reasonably priced wines too, all delivered right to my door... We ordered a New York style crust pizza, the flavor was outstanding, the crust was like nothing I have tasted before. The ground beef on the pizza was tender and flavorful, all the ingredients were very fresh! 10/10 will recommend! Oh! And don't skip out on the pepperoni rolls... or the salads... 1 of everything please!

Awesome staff and very respectful! Lots of drink options including a great wine menu. Of course the pizza was good but also for $3 a slice is hard to beat especially for the quality and size of slice is definitely a bang for your buck highly recommend.

Came here by chance as we were at a business next door. So happy we did! Fantastic wine selection. We shared the pizza Chicken Florentine thin crust. No exaggeration best pizza in a long time! Alberto couldn't be nicer. It's casual, limited seating definitely coming back soon. Also, will be great for takeaway.

We recently moved back from Italy after living there 5 years. Our Italian friends recommended pizza from Pizza Birra and Vino. This restaurant has taken care to create a similar pizza that we are familiar with. The red sauce is made in house and they use San Marizano tomatoes. Yes the choice of tomato (pomodoro) does matter. This is a great find on Waugh.

The food here is amazing! Delicious food and excellent service. Such a cute place to grab some pizza and a drink. 10/10 recommend

Had a bite of a friends pizza and I was instantly sold. Fall off the crusty bread pizza. I had to get my own. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back.

So happy this spot opened back up. They are the only place that serves true Chicago Style pizza in the area. Though it isn't Giordano's or Lou Malnati's it's the closest thing you are going to find, and it isn't awful! There are a few other places that have deep dish, but Pizza Birra Vino comes closest. Just note, Chicago Style Deep takes about an hour to cook. If you order carry out online their tracker will tell you the pizza is ready about 20 minutes after ordering, but call ahead to make sure - or it could be a long wait. Their garlic cheese bread was delicious as well. Cheese was perfectly melted and had a nice hint of garlic. The marinara sauce was really watery to dip the bread into, just I just passed on that. Will be back.

I've passed by this spot often and have wondered about it. Yet it was a cold Saturday morning, just 15 minutes before opening and my friends and I happened by starving. We attempted to open the door, which the kind owner (assumed) saw and let us wait inside while he prepared for his day. He was extremely welcoming and an easy going personality to converse with will we waited for our yummy pies! My friends and I enjoyed the Umberto and subbed fresh jalapeños for the sautéed mushrooms. We ordered it deep dish style (not pictured here) and the dough on that pizza was TO DIE FOR. I am already craving it again. The pizza was so delicious I had to order a pie to-go for my family which is pictured here. The customer service, the ambiance, the care the food is made with, all this adds to 5 stars in my book and I will be returning whenever I'm in the mood for a yummy pizza! Also, watching the pizza be handmade to order was a fascinating experience. We could see all the ingredients were definitely fresh which made eating these delicious carbs slightly easier to excuse haha!

I tried the resurrected Pizza Birra Vino (nee Pizza L'Vino) last night. Got two NY style pizzas, both with the fabled wheat crust - a 12" pepperoni and mushroom for my daughter and the 14" "Most Ordered" (pepperoni, sausage, sautéed mushroom, black olives) for me. Hers was better than mine, which suffered from a too-thin, almost soggy crust under all those toppings. The edge crust was almost as good as I remembered it ... maybe a little smaller, but had the same flavor if not the same height. They're being stingy on the dough, I think. Hers, however, was much better. The bottom crust held up with fewer ingredients. It had just the right amount of crunch to it. Still, it could have been a little thicker. The sauce was pretty much as I remembered it, and the sausage on the Most Ordered is still the star of that production. The pizza also wasn't quite as hot as I remembered it being. It used to be, you could hurt yourself on the steam coming out the vent holes in the box. By the time I got this home, it was just semi-hot, not really hot, as pizza should be. The place does indeed have different owners, from what the staff told me, and they are still in the fine-tuning stage. I loved Pizza L'Vino so I hope they get their mojo back. I'd try them again.

They deliver pizza, beer, and wine!! Received the flyer at the apts. It's located above the nail salon I go to...so no brainer to check this place out. When walking up noticed door boarded up.... Gentleman inside opened door for me and said they had been broken into this morning...so sad!! Now back to the pizza.... So excited!! The pizza is amazing!! Now I'm enjoying the idea of hanging by the pool and getting beer and pizza delivered. And coming in when getting nails done! I highly recommend this place!!

I had my pizza and pie delivered by this great young man named Josue. He delivered my pizza on time and the pizza was fresh & delicious!! This business met every expectation I had and I will definitely be ordering again!!!

pretty good service and people there!! pizza is not like what bad reviews say, probably people who had one bad/mild experience and just bursting out. pizza is still definitely good, molto pep is my go to! crispy is a genius addition as well.
