Pizza Boy

We have enjoyed pizza boy frequently. From slices of pizza to a whole pie, the sausage and pepper roll, and subs to go. I enjoy a slice of plain cheese pizza and Pizza Boy feeds that craving. The price of a small pepperoni pizza is a great deal. My young daughter enjoys both the pizza and turkey sub, as do I. My hubby is a huge fan of their rolls having had the buffalo chicken as well. Service has been great and it's a place we enjoy. They have specials that are great deals, one being two large subs.

I heard this pizza was good and decided to give it a try. I got a pepperoni and olive pizza and it honestly looked really good. Though the dough was not soft at all, the right word would be stale. I had to really pull to get my bite off. Not only that, but the sauce and the pizza itself had minimal/plain taste. Nothing was special about it and though my pie was rather basic, the sauce was very very plain. Extremely underwhelming, and sad to say, I’d truthfully get a frozen or premade pizza over this! It’s hard to do pizza wrong. But plain and not soft/tough… Unfortunately I’ll have to find something better around town.

The best cheese steak subs I ever had were from Musical Inn in Aberdeen, they went out of business so I tried Bigfoot's, good then they burned down and after they rebuilt the subs weren't the same. I tried the cheese steaks at Pizza Boy and they are even better than Musical Inn's! The shrimp and tuna subs are also excellent as is their pizza. Staff is friendly and efficient. Can't do better than Pizza Boy.

Very good pizza here! Best around Rising Sun that i have tried. They smoke Conowingo Pizza. Poor dominoes up on the hill behind them i don't see how they keep the lights on....lol. Very cool kids working there. I was suprised to see Mexicans running it . Cooking etc. Came in they were eating fresh mexican Dishes they had prepared.... must have been tired of the pizza every day.

Got the chicken Alfredo, chicken was boiled not grilled had no season and the Alfredo sauce tastes like waters down milk with no season had to add my own seasons

Pizza Boy is my go to local pizza place. There's a great garlic essence to their pizza and their hand made mozzarella sticks are incredible.

This place got way better once they got rid of the long browned hair and glasses wearing young girl at the front desk with horrible customer service.. now it's an awesome place to eat at inside 😁 love the food

Ordered two club sandwiches one ham the other turkey she said what would I like on them I said what comes on them ( I already knew what came on them I was kidding her) to my surprise nothing comes on them just meat so I ordered bacon lettuce tomatoes and mayo. So then I ask so if it's a club sandwich it should come with these things other wise it just be a sandwich right she just glared at me lol. I order a order of fries and gravy. So apparently I paid extra for the condiments because the bill was 43.00 dollars for said two club sandwichs and one order of fries. The ham and turkey had no taste it was the cheapest lunch meat you can buy the bacon was bacon bits which fell off the sandwich as soon as you picked it up then they put cheese on it which I didn't order it with cheese and it tasted like the cheap individual wrapped cheese. There was so much mayo the bread was soggy. I used to own a couple of restaurants so I would like to let the owner know if your going to charge 5 star prices you should serv 5 star food other wise just close up up and let someone else rent the store that knows the business. Ps I owned restaurants for over 30 years til I retired. I WOULD NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THIS PLACE GO SOMEWHERE THAT KNOWS HOW TO PLEASE CUSTOMERS AND KNOWS HOW TO MAKE THE FOOD!!!!

One of my favorite places since I was a kid amazing food staff and really nice seating arrangement clean bathrooms and all around a home town favorite. The pizza is some of my favorite the buffalo chicken and taco and of course the pepperoni is where it's at . All the other menu items are delicious definitely give it a look .

Food was great, service was friendly. Has Outside seating which was quaint considering it's in a shopping strip center.

Excellent pizza here and the staff are very friendly. We also love their stromboli. You'll find plenty of parking here as well.

If you work in rising sun or you happen to want pizza Pizza Boy is the place to go, it's cheap but the food is so AMAZING, The Service is very nice and the ambience is great

Always the best pizza and salads in Rising Sun. Cheese pizza is my go to but their white pizza is just as good!

Moved to Rising Sun in March. We've tried every pie in the area and these guys are the best. Everyone has a hometown pie as a new resident I didn't, Pizza Boy crushed it! We've tried multiple spots and gave them two or three chances but we're never thrilled. Barber recommended and damn if the barber doesn't know best. Keep killing it guys y'all are legit!

What a beautiful PIZZA !! Great service and delicious sauce . We ask for well done and they deliver . Outrageous freshness and kind happy people !! This place knocks it outta the park for us EVERY WEEK !! We order pizza a lot and applaud them every time . Love the crust and cheese . Well done

Food is always great and their service is wonderful. Front counter staff always has a cheery demeanor.

They make the best Italian subs no other place around compares couldn't even finish the whole thing which is a good thing it was packed with delicious fresh ingredients

I came to dine in this evening and ordered 2 slices of cheese pizza. After 35 minutes has gone by i went to the counter to ask the cashier if my order was coming soon. She said its coming we are just trying to find room in the ovens cause whole pizzas come first. 5 minites later, she brings me a to go box with my slices inside saying the cools put it in a box accidently.. I opened it to find my pizza was completely cold so it had been sitting on her counter for some time.. No apology or offer to reheat my food was given.. Worst service ive ever had from here... Done with this place..

Cute little pizza spot that is clean and quick. Buffalo pizza was my favorite. The prices are awesome for the amount of food you get. Stuff was friendly. Lots of beverage options, but no alcohol.

All I had here was pizza so I don't have much to base my review on. It was a really typical quality pizza. Good sauce and good cheese. Nothing special, but made how it should be. The restaurant is fairly small and clean. Clean restroom. Somewhat friendly staff. Fountain sodas and bottled drinks but no beer. Located in a strip shopping center with plenty of parking. The only thing that is odd is the name. What the heck is a pizza boy?

Good place to run in for a slice as you are getting from here to there. They have Pepsi fountain soda AND Coke in cans for us Coke lovers!

Always have good food. Fries, Pizza, Cheesesteaks, etc. are always good there. Easy place to go to and eat quickly, but still have good food that isn't fast food!!!

Best place to go by far! Don't settle for dominos or pizza hut. You want real food, def gotta go here. Taquitos are yumm, I always get the steak ones, I don't even know if their on the menu lol. Buffalo chicken pizza is delish! They have specials all the time as well as dinner specials too I believe. Try them out and you'll be upset at the fact you didn't find them sooner.

We've been frequenting Pizza Boy for about a year. They don't deliver, and they're often very busy, but with good reason...it's the best NY style pizza we've found in Cecil County. Right out in front by Big Lots and Martin's in Rising Sun, they do a hopping business at dinner time. The pizza is thin and tasty. Almost perfect NY style pizza, with my only complaint being that the sauce is sometimes a bit too thick on some nights. Great crust. Otherwise, the menu is pretty comprehensive, with the usual stuff an Italian place has. We've found most of it to be good. Prices are extremely fair on pizza, other menu items are more expensive. In sum, good price, good prices, just order early. 5/5.

I've been all over. I grew up in the pizza heartland ( north jersey) and I've tried a lot of pizza in my day. Pizza boy has a good slice. Plenty of things to pick, not just pizza but actual meals. If your in rising sun, in between two corn fields and nothing.. This is the spot to get your pie. Never have I had a bad meal from here and I order a lot.

Stopped here for a quick lunch before going to the Plumpton Park Zoo, based on the reviews as well as the fact that there really isn't much in Rising Sun, MD. The cheesesteak lunch special was pretty good, though the bag of chips that came with it couldn't have contained more than 5 chips. We ate all of them before our subs even came out. The subs more than made up for the chips in size. They were huge and filling. A good, inexpensive lunch.

Always a fan favorite of this place. I visit each time I visit MD from Tampa, FL. Pizza and chicken tenders are by far the best in town, in my opinion. During this last visit we ordered a cheesesteak, in addition to pizza, and that item was about average. But, overall, I give 4 stars. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

Love the food. Plenty of food for the money. Great employees/always friendly. Wish they would deliver because some nights I crave pizza I don't want to go out to get it.

I have ate here many times before and the Pizza and Cheese Steaks are good. The problem is the staff does not wear masks nor do they require Customers to wear them upon entering. There is no social distancing or shields any where. I would not recommend to anyone if they are concerned for the safety of themselves, the staff or other customers.

Come here at least once a week for cheesesteaks and pizza. Out of the 4 pizza joints in Rising Sun, my family prefers this one.

Came home to visit and went to eat here. Nothing as good as it used to be. We waited 30 minutes for two pizza rolls that are pre made and only needed to be reheated. It wouldn't have been bad if they were tasty, but they weren't as good as they used to be. We both choked down a few bites and simply left. Waste of money, but at least they are decently priced still.

Good food and very reasonably priced. The food was hot, fresh and ready to go when I picked it up. Lasagna for 3with salads was $23.

Pizza is typical for the area,but not what I would call good pizza. The crust is good but the rest needs help. The staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

Great food. Reasonable prices. I eat a lot of salad, and this is where I get them. My favorite things here are salad, mozzarella sticks, meatball sub (one of the best I've had), pizza. Their taco salad comes in a big tostada bowl, and really good cheesesteaks. I eat here a couple of times a week. No delivery....I'm glad I live a mile away. Good customer service. I highly recommend this place. Definitely worth driving to for take-out.

If anyone is local to the area, they know there aren't many food options. Pizza Boy is the best pizza in the town at the cheapest price. The place is always busy and full (which tells you something). Staff is always friendly. Never had had a bad meal.

Was visiting a friend in the area and he took me here. Really enjoyed the pizza. Staff was pleasant too. No complaints here!

The only place I'll get pizza at from now on! They never disappoint with their pizza, the wings are pretty good as well. I just wish they would deliver!

Good food and selection is a wide variety of Italian foods but missing out on the lack of the delivery option. Probably would get more business if they did so.

Great Italian cuisine. The calzones are packed full of cheese and alwaya cooked to perfection. The prices for dinners are reasonable and worth it. Never mix up your order. They always get it right. Thumbs up.

Super yummy, affordable slices. My two little boys and I ate four slices between us and our bill was less than $10. Extremely friendly staff member offered to top my spinach and ricotta slice with loads of freshly sliced tomato, which was heavenly. Thanks, Pizza Boy, you hit the spot! We will most certainly be back.

Pizza boy rocks! When I think of a really good pizza or subs I think of pizza boy!! When I'm hungry and I am thinking about really good Italian food, the first thing that comes to my mind is pizza boy . The prices are ridiculous, the food is out of this world and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend to anyone who likes good food at really really good prices!!

Oh man, Pizza Boy. This is seriously one of the only things I missed when I wasn't living in this area on and off for the last few years. I was always thinking, "When I visit, first meal I'm getting is a Chicken Caesar salad from Pizza Boy!". The Chicken Caesar salads are to die for. One could feed two people (and is kind of priced that way at 7.95), but I rarely find myself wanting to share. Loads of salad topped with sliced, seasoned, cold chicken breast, seasoned croutons (I believe they make their own), and a Caesar dressing somewhere between regular and creamy. Each order comes with two small slices of their garlic breadsticks. They have amazing pizza as well, you definitely get your money's worth and they have plenty of stuff to choose from. They're a lot more busy than they used to be a couple of years ago, but I'd say that's a testament to how good they really are. There's a dining room to eat in, they have fountain drinks, refrigerated drinks, various bagged snacks, and a menu full of other food (burgers, sides, stromboli, other salads, etc.) so there's something for everyone. They also recently started selling zucchini fries, which are delicious, but they don't always have them. The staff is friendly and most of them have been there from the start. They're next to the local grocery store, so there's plenty of parking, and there's a movie store right next door, so that's cool.

At one time this was a great place to come and eat besides the normal around here. My pizza was always made right usually. The one time I asked for a remake cause it was to tough for my Wife and me to eat. The owner didn't or couldn't handle a negative comment properly and said we were doing it to be spiteful. I had nothing against him, but one of his employees and I don't think he knew how to handle that neither. I would have expected better coming from him. But being a young owner , some times it is hard to handle these things in life . I grew up in the same business and spent most of my career doing what he just learning to do. But I on the other hand knew how to handle these matters. I was really upset about this cause it was a cozy place with nice food , but I can not stand attitudes , which I think is the problem here. Cause if this was against him at first I would have stop coming then , but I kept coming.Now i don't think he deserves a good review especially after being attacked for asking food to be made over again. So if you better service , look somewhere else. Not here.

The best Pizza in Cecil County and trust me when I say, I know pizza!.... Havent tried anything else on the menu because if you go to a pizza shop, you play it safe and order Pizza! They are fair with pricing and when you ask for extra cheese, you actually get extra cheese! There are 2 pizza shops in our area who refuse to deliver because their pizza is indeed worth picking up. Pizza Boy in Rising Sun and Franks in North East. I live right in the middle of both shops.... The difference is Franks does not know what extra cheese means. Though they will charge you for it, you'de swear you didnt even get the regular amount of cheese. Franks must pay for the shiny new fixtures their insurance didnt cover so they are stingy with their cheese. Cheese is by far a pizza shops most expensive cost so they refuse to give you what you pay for. I ask you to try both pizzas and order extra cheese if you love cheese and you'll quickly see Pizza Boy is by far the better option. No one likes feeling theyve been ripped off and thats exactly how I felt eating Franks Pizza yesterday... I wont stray from Pizza Boy again as Ive learned my lesson!! Stick with the best Pizza and best value at Pizza Boy as they treat their customers fairly and you'll treat yourself to the best pizza in Cecil County!

Very poor customer service. I had just moved to the area and did not know of any places to order pizza. I found the "Pizza Boy's" Phone number and called. As soon as the man on the other end answered he immediately said in a harsh tone "Pizza Boy, What do you need". I responded by ordering my pizza, throughout the call he was just being extremely rude and disrespectful, At the time I did not know that the restaurant did not deliver, so the man said "Carryout or Dining in?" I responded with " I thought you guys delivered" (Siri told me they did deliver) and the man rudely responded with a long lecture about how I wasted his time, and he was just being plain rude. The pizza is great but service is poor.

It was ok pizza. Quite soggy and we only got two toppings. They also burned part of the pie. Three pieces were almost inedible, crust was definitly inedible. They were super busy and it took an hour for them to deliver our pizza... to the table. They appologized and went looking for it but it was utter chaos. They are obviously loved by the locals but I feel like it is just because it is the best nearby. Not nearly the best.

Always the best! If you like thin crust I definitely recommend theirs. And if you like spicy then you have to try the Buffalo Chicken Pizza!

Rude employees. Slow service. When I got my pizza there was what looked to be pubes on one of the pepperonis. Never going here again would not recommend. Four seas across the street is a way better choice than this dump.

Pizza boy is the best! We used to stop in all the time when I was in high school. Nothing beats chicken wing pizza with an order of mozzarella sticks! Vince is the best and everyone else that works there is extremely friendly. Can't wait to stop in the next time I'm home.
