Had a great experience here today. The pizza was so amazing. We got the meatball pizza. The dough is crispy and thin. All the ingredients tasted so good.

Google
Lovely atmosphere! I really enjoy my meals here. Would especially recommend their happy hour for great deals. Staff is very friendly. Their thin crust pizza is very light. Surprisingly easy to eat a whole one by yourself! My tip would be to not get a lot of toppings on it because the thin crust can't always support it. Their garlic knots and roasted cauliflower are delicious too!

We visited during happy hour (3–5pm on weekdays) and we were excited to see the advertised half-off pizza, wine, and beer. We ordered a bottle of wine, assuming it would be half off—just as the menu said. When the check arrived, we were told the discount only applied to wine by the glass, which was not specified anywhere. To their credit, they ultimately honored the discount, but the experience felt misleading. Our server even seemed irritated that we brought it up. For the future, I’d strongly recommend updating the menu to clearly reflect the actual happy hour offerings—or at the very least, training staff to inform customers that bottles of wine aren’t included. That way, we could’ve simply ordered by the glass and avoided any confusion.

Google
I ordered carbonara and the egg is way over cooked. Pasta is dry and burnt! It’s like they literally scraped the bottom of the pans and served that as our food. Wings are literally burnt to a crisp!!! Should have went to Osteria Lupo instead.

Google
This review is very, very long overdue! My coworkers and I picked up a couple of pizzas on a work trip at PIZZA domenica on June 13th. I wanted to order the White pizza!! A pizza with ricotta? Sign me up! In addition to the White, we ordered a Pepperoni. My only regret is that we took them back to our Airbnb! I wish that we would have stayed and eaten them there. The PD team was nice and professional! We didn’t have to wait very long at all for our order. Once we got to our Airbnb, we dug into the pizza and everyone was super happy! I highly recommend PD for your next date night - the atmosphere was really nice! Thank you, PIZZA domenica!

The service was great - food was not. New Orleans is a City famous for its eateries, but maybe the bar is low. So tired of paying for burned, reheated in a microwave food😕 The baked ziti is burned and where is the sauce? The pizza is salty, but at least I can chew it. I give up. This us why I cook at home.

Google
Garlic knots FTW! Do not skip the garlic knot appetizers. All of the pizzas are made with fresh, high quality ingredients. The wings are also fantastic with a smoky flavor and homemade ranch sauce on the side. Pro Tip: If you are indecisive on toppings, they will allow half/half on any pizzas. Update: we returned again this past year and everything was just as good as last year.

Google
My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. We made reservations on OpenTable. The restaurant was following COVID precautions well. Tables spaced, staff wearing masks, etc... Parking is fairly easy and free in this area of magazine street. The food was phenomenal! Garlic knots are a must! The Brussels sprout salad was great. For pizza we split a ham and ricotta. One pizza was more than enough for the two of us. Especially if you get anything else to eat with your pizza.

Yelp
Absolutely best wood fire pizza! My daughter loves the Margherita and I love all the other varieties. I love the selection of dips you can order to dip your crust in! It was our first time ordering the bruschetta and we absolutely loved it! So fresh! You just can't beat the happy hour! From 3-5 you can get half off pizza, wine, and beer. The service is a little slow but they are busier during happy hour. Our waitress was super sweet but she was also bartending which made it more difficult. There is also now a "service charge." Not sure why. It was on the bill before I stated I was paying with a card.

Yelp
We have eaten here two times now and I'll start off by saying that the food was amazing both times. But I'll also say that the service was amazingly bad both times, and amazingly, in the same exact ways. First, apparently the person who is sort of a host also has to bus tables. This is NOT his fault, but this results in people stacking up at the front door while he prepares a table for another party - long enough that I wondered if we were standing in the wrong place to get seated. This gentleman was probably the hardest working person in the place. Once we were seated, this visit last night was almost a deja vu experience with two differences compared to our last visit. On this visit, our server was very friendly (when we saw him) and we ordered the Tutto Carne pizza, instead of the excessively (ridiculously) spicy Sausage & Peppers pizza we got last time. Same as last time, we ordered the meatballs as an appetizer, and they really are delicious. But, same as last time, we had to go get our own silverware. It's always a shame with the food runner just drops off the food without asking if we need anything. It's not their fault about the silverware, but still, why not ask if we need anything else (you know, service)? So we get our meatballs pretty quickly and really enjoyed them. Before the pizza arrived, I finished my beer and pushed the empty mug to a place visible to the invisible-but-friendly server. Then the pizza came out, with a smile, but before we could say anything, he was gone. So exactly like our last visit, we're sitting there with two small plates covered with the marinara from the meatballs, the plate the meatballs came in, and my empty beer mug. And nobody around. Our server was standing behind the bar chatting with 2 or 3 other staff members. Then the busy "host" happened to come by to set the table next to us so we asked him for clean plates. Interestingly, he finished setting 4 plates on that table (which was empty) and then went to the back to get two plates for us while we sat waiting to eat our pizza. I guess he didn't want that empty table to wait for its plates. Finally, our server checked on us and I got my second beer. So here's my take: This place has no system. No "management". It's got great food - good enough that I'll be tempted to go back. But based on the big sign at the front door (which I had plenty of time to read while wondering if we'd get seated), this place is part of a chain of other restaurants. And that makes me think "cost conscious chain" that would rather let 4 people do the job of 6 and not have anyone actually managing the floor. Every time I looked around, I saw the "host" hustling around and 2 or 3 staff members (including our server) chatting behind the bar. It's no surprise to me now that I've heard nothing but nightmare stories about this chain's newest location in Lakeview. The stars in my review are for the food. The missing stars are for the missing service.

Yelp
I've heard really good things about this spot, so I decided to try it out on a Friday night. It was bustling with all ages and folks, but they still got me a takeout order within 20 minutes. It's a cute and modern pizza joint that's fit for a casual meal. I ordered the white pizza and the meatballs. The pizza crust was perfectly chewy and crisp, and the topping were fresh. The meatballs were a bit too salty, but the flavor was dynamic and everything I needed! I feel like the price is fair for an upscale pizzeria, and I spent about $30 on myself alone. I'd most likely return for a cool meal with friends!

Yelp
After the parade this weekend we decided to walk over to Domenica. I have been to the downtown location multiple times, but this was my first time eating at the uptown location. The pizza is amazing a hit, so I went with the pepperoni pizza. However, I saw they had king cakes knots on their dessert menu. Mardi Gras season so I had to try them, and I'm so happy I did! They came out hot, they were the perfect ratio of crispy ends and soft center! . The icing on time gave it the that sweetness. Had leftovers and ate them with coffee this morning. Go for the great pizza, and make sure to get the dessert!

Yelp
After a long day, Pizza sounded really good. Ordered online, through UberEats. Our order included four pizzas, baked Ziti (a pasta casserole with tomato sauce and cheese) and a salad. Really standard fare, nothing to write home about. I found my pizza crust doughy, as if it hadn't been baked enough. The baked Ziti was just basic pasta, nothing special. The Staff were friendly, and had our order ready for the delivery driver when they said they would. The restaurant looks clean and modern. Pizza Domenica, Uptown -- Three Stars.

Yelp
Pizza Domenica knows its way around dough. The garlic knots are basically little pillows of garlicky heaven. The Sausage & Peppers pizza brings the heat with fennel sausage and spicy chiles--like a delicious slap in the face. The White Pizza is pure, cheesy indulgence. Come hungry, leave happy (and slightly greasy).

Yelp
A little surprised a out the reviews of this place, I thought my visit here for dinner was one of the best in terms of places I went to eat while in new orleans. The highligh for me were the garlic knots. I mean this is probably one 9f the best things I have tested in my life! I thought the pizza was good but the knots were so incredible that the pizza become more like the appetizer of the meal. There is some sort of fluffy cream cheese that comes with the knots that was super complement which we also used to dip the pizza in. Can't wait to visit again.

Travis D.

Yelp
Peter is outstanding but when you add in the service that's the reason for the three stars. First I had to wait almost 10 minutes or so. I'm gonna come to my table and once I ordered, I have never seen the waitress again. I also had to flag somebody down to get my check at the end of it all. They do spend a lot of time staring at their phones. Good thing there were only two tables occupied and I was one of them. I am done.

Yelp
My family and I are visiting from out of town. We wanted pizza and something close to our AirBnB for dinner, and saw that Pizza Domenica was well rated. The food was fantastic. We ordered the garlic knots. They were not quite what we expected, but the fonduta served with them made them delicious. My sons each had the baked ziti. The portions were rather small, but the ziti was cheesy though not much sauce. We had 3 pizzas- margherita, pepperoni, and the meat. All were delicious. What knocked the rating from 4 to 5 was Matt, our server. He was friendly, helpful, and stayed on top of everything. We had a great experience.

Yelp
Delicious pizza and garlic knots. Peaceful atmosphere and friendly service. I absolutely recommend this restaurant

Owen M.

Yelp
Pizza and service were good- we did come at a slow time, so not sure how it is when it's busy. Great place to take the family after a days at the zoo

Cleo D.

Yelp
pizza is fantastic. hands down best happy hour in the city. love the white pizza ! the pizza all vodka I have never seen done before. very good. pizza + wine = happiness.

Yelp
Went for a date night and was very pleasantly surprised! Our app came out within 3-5 minutes and it was so much better than regular garlic knots. You HAVE to get them if you go here. The cheese garlic sauce is whipped and fluffy, the bread is fresh and garlicky with butter on it. That alone was enough to make us come back. The pizza was really good and we added roasted garlic. I usually don't like the meat pizza but husband does and it sounded good. I actually really liked it! We sat at the bar with no wait, staff was attentive, nice and restaurant was clean and well decorated. Overall an amazing pizza place that's more than just pizza
google avatar

Kirsten J.

Yelp
It always such a good time! I always sit at the bar ( love their half off happy hour!) and everyone is always so nice and helpful. The vibes are always amazing, feels like local and chill and the food is always a 10/10. And if it isn't, they are always willing to help you in any way they can. Couldn't recommend it more.
google avatar

Naima S.

Yelp
Really wish we had more time to have a full meal here. This place is modest on the outside with a nice set up. I tried the chopped salad earlier, which was very good. Take a break from the heat and come chill!

Yelp
What can we say? This has been a staple of our family since it opened. There is zero chance you will not be pleased with your experience here. If we were to do the math I think we have been to this one establishment more than any other in the whole city. Nola is finally becoming a place where you can actually get a good pizza - and Pizza Domenica rises to the top of a very short list - for authentic Neapolitan style - this is NOT a take home pizza - this type of pizza needs to be eaten out of the oven - and I think anyone who eats here or at Ancora needs to realize that - his is not bar pizza or dominos. This is the real deal - don't blow it! The half price happy hour on pizza (3-5pm every night I believe) is possibly the greatest culinary deal in NOLA. Everyone know about the appetizers too - and you've never had Cauliflower until you've had Pizza Domenica's - I could go on and on about all the other items - but seriously just order anything on their menu and it will make you smile - I thought I wound like the Chicken Pesto pizza -(I'm a "purist" lol) but it may be my favorite there now - but make sure you get the authentic Margherita Pie - I never thought pizza could melt in your mouth until now! Ciao and Bravo - we love you Pizza Domenica!!
google avatar

Uriia H.

Yelp
Finally made it to the place after hearing how gooood the pizza is. I was told not to leave without getting the garlic knots...guuurrrlll...I could have eaten 5 servings of that. They were fantastic! I think it's served with whipped provolone...could legit bathe in that. I love that they do half n half pizzas. This gave me a chance to try 2 different ones. We had the Calabrese and mushroom. The Calabrese had a real spicy kick...very good. I liked the flavor of the mushrooms pizza but the egg ruined it a bit for me. The white part was pretty runny...and I love a runny egg but it didn't work well for me on the pizza. I hope to come back one day for Happy hour...half off pizza!! My goal is to try every pizza on the menu...and to get the recipe for those damn garlic knots!

Yelp
Pizza was late and horribly prepared. It was burnt and soggy at the same time as if thrown together just to get it out even though the restaurant was empty. The service was equally bad. We sat for 15 minutes while 80 % of the staff joked around in plain view out by the bar.minhad to get the host to go over and get us a server. He seemed bothered that we disturbed him. This place used to be good. Never again. Owners need to clean house, from the cooks to the servers.
google avatar

Eileen M.

Yelp
I don't know if the center of the pizza is supposed to be soggy so one could eat New York style . The pizza otherwise was pretty good. The prosciutto was excellent there was plenty of prosciutto and arugula. We will come back for happy hour. We are snow birds

Willie M.

Yelp
Food Service Ambience ! One of my favorites spots! The garlic knots are my favorite thing to order.

Michael B.

Yelp
We loved this place. The service & food were incredible. The restaurant has a great casual but elevated ambiance.
google avatar

Sabrina S.

Yelp
New Orleans Trip; cute pizzeria super clean. Food; Appetizers were delicious ordered the burrata caprese was something will order again. Also, we ordered the white pizza and pepperoni the white pizza was my favorite but both equally yummy. Special draft beers as well, chilled and good. Service; little slow but very friendly.
google avatar

Gracie G.

Yelp
Good pizza but so LOUD! I think it's the metal ceiling tiles but whatever the reason I have a hard time enjoying a meal there.
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
Great pizza! You gotta eat it fresh though before it cools off. Try their crawfish pizza if you get a chance! I eat their chopped salad when i'm trying to eat light. Get the cinnamon knots if you want dessert. The service is great. The pizza chefs always let kids play with dough and pretend to make their own pizzas. The ambiance is really nice, but not so formal as to be uptight.
google avatar

Loriyon J.

Yelp
First time trying this spot and everything was great!! First up was the garlic knots and I'm not sure what my expectation was for them but they exceeded that! The whipped feta complimented them so well with the perfect amount of saltiness! The white pizza was also great! I love the thin crust and the roasted garlic that came on there and adding the chicken just set it off! I will definitely be back to try out another one of their pizzas. Oh and they have HAPPY HOUR where you get half off pizza and drinks. Thank me later
google avatar

Hilary R.

Yelp
Dude, what happened to this place? The pizza used to be so good and what I just got was the saddest pie I ever had. There was almost no sauce on either one and the pepperoni looked like it had salami slices on it? I'm only giving 2 stars because I got delivery and can't base this on the service at the restaurant. Nowhere near worth the price. Get pizza from anywhere else instead
google avatar

Myles L.

Yelp
This Magazine Street restaurant has delicious pizza, whether it's mushroom, white, alla vodka, or plain, a full bar with beers on tap, and those freshly baked garlic knots with that creamy white sauce. The service is usually good and punctual. I like to eat here every time I'm in town.

Phoebe F.

Yelp
Lovely thin crusty pizza. Very reliable. Genuinely good service and atmosphere and they have pizza happy hour. I think it's 3 to 550% off so that's always nice.

Florence N.

Yelp
It's Christmas day, and we just ate one of the best pepperoni pizzas ever (added jalapeños!). All elements were in perfect proportion. Cheese so flavorful. Extra red sauce for crust dipping. Also, their meatballs and polenta are some of the best in town.
google avatar

Nandi A.

Yelp
Definitely my go-to for pizza! Their happy hour deal is my favorite: 3-5 M-F with half off all pizzas. Very quaint dining area and the service is always great.
google avatar

Taleen B.

Yelp
Food is good. However, I must say how incredibly disappointing it is for the owner to charge a 3% administration fee that supposedly goes to "kitchen staff." It's disgusting that the owner refuses to pay her employees better, so she decided to impose this surcharge for the customers to pay for it rather than herself. As a business owner myself, i would NEVER do this. It is very deceptive to do this to your customers. Why should it be the customers responsibility to pay?! That's the owners job.
google avatar

Kristen N.

Yelp
Pizza domenica is my go-to spot for pizza in New Orleans. They have the best crust, thin under the other ingredients and fluffy around the edges. The toppings they use are all high-quality and even the simple pizzas like margherita or heirloom tomato are delicious because of this. The garlic knots with provolone fonduta (like whipped butter) are a must-order menu item. Tutto carne pizza is fantastic for meat-lovers. There are a few locations, another in Mid-City and one in Lakeview, all of which have the same classic pizzas and different options for the less traditional ones that change every few months, like the current uptown gorgonzola with speck and peaches, and wagyu. The best time to go is during happy hour, which they have from 3-5 monday-friday at all locations. Half-off pizzas, draft beers, and some wines by the glass.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
10:10 Mocktail was out of this world!! Pizza Half White/Half Ham, Apple, Honey Surprisingly to DIE for and the white was everything I was looking for with the whole roasted garlic cloves! The dough is so flavorful my picky husband who never eats the crust devoured the whole half pie! Burrata Caprese - Perfect! Cesar Salad They served a bread slice with this worth its weight in gold!!! They even split the salad for us, impressed!! Baked Ziti A little pricey and wasn't that great but wasn't terrible just very average. We ate far too fast for more photos! Literally in and out 40 minutes!! HAPPY HOUR 1/2 PRICE PIZZAS!
google avatar

Henry R.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for dinner. Bartender was pleasant. Quite cold outside, I asked, "what is your soup today", response "tomato basil soup". 1 minute later bartender returns, "we have no soup today". Moving on. Ordered penne bolognese, bartender responds " we are out of pasta bolognese"". Really? Why even have a menu, or restaurant for that matter?
google avatar

Laurie O.

Yelp
Great food and service. A NOLA classic! We eat here every time we visit. Pizza is amazing.
google avatar

Pamela F.

Yelp
Best pizza we've had in New Orleans. Place was empty and the service could have been a bit better but all in all we'd definitely go back.

Rachel Y.

Yelp
We just ordered pizza and it was basically bread and bad Prosciutto. Never again. This place has definitely changed. I loved Pizza Domenica.
google avatar

Jono B.

Yelp
Their dough is very good. I tried their bbq shrimp pizza which I do not know if that is something they offer throughout the year. It was really good though. It was essentially a bbq shrimp po boy in pizza form. Even came out as wet as you'd want your bbq shrimp po boys to come out. Wasn't a fan of the big dark dough holes in the pizza though but overall I enjoyed this place. A bit pricey and fancier than other pizza places, but it was worth it.
google avatar

Alexandra E.

Yelp
Great pizza in town. I usually go here for their garlic knots - the best I've ever tried mostly because of the whipped provolone cheese it comes to dip in. I could eat that thing by itself with a spoon. Great selection of pizzas! I wish the crust was crispier but the different toppings available make it worth it.

Kami_Lover _.

Yelp
The food was not good. The pizza was meh, but the crawfish bread wtv was terrible. The service was attentive and caring, ambiance okay. Just the food sucked
google avatar

Eddie P.

Yelp
Came in during Mardi Gras madness and this place did an outstanding job with the volume of people in the restaurant. I sat by the window and was able to watch the parades for a while. Izzy had a great attitude and made great recommendations. She recommended the chicken pesto pizza, delicious! Will be back next time I'm in Nola.
google avatar

Connor B.

Yelp
2 stars because the service was great. Let's get to the meat of it, shall we? The moment you take a bite of the pizza, you'll be baffled by the price... how they charging an arm and a leg for a small pizza of low-grade quality? Gorrrrl Zon't Zo it. I only appreciated the pizza (ordered the White pizza and Spinach pizza but have tried the cheese & pepperoni previously) 2 days later after I air-fried it and added red paper flakes.

Shuff M.

Yelp
"Pizza in New Orleans?!" This was my first response when recommended to me and it certainly sounds odd, but that's not even all. From the start, the appetizers blew me away; namely, the meatballs. A meatball app, you say? Yes, and get them so I can accept your thank you note. This, coupled with their wings, make the experience for me almost more than the pizza itself. The wings even come with homemade ranch that is second only to my wife's. Get the thought of sports bar wings, safe appetizers, and a generic New Olreans food experience out of your head and take the plunge. Of course, you'll need to save room for their pizza. I can't even narrow down a specific pie to try; just ask the awesome wait staff what they recommend and they'll set you up with something delicious. As for the atmosphere and location, they are both stellar. I have always eaten at the bar, which is great for solo/duo travelers looking to be social, but the restaurant proper is a warm setting that passes the vibe check and is great for families. It is located on my favorite street and there are plenty of close spots to walk to and check out before or after dinner. Go here if: you want a great beer at the bar followed by great food off the beaten path and away from the tourists looking for Cajun food Solo travelers rating: 10 - cool scene, nice bartenders, small affordable apps, friendly, sociable people

Anne F.

Yelp
My husband and I are in town for the night and have heard good things about this place. We were looking for a different fresh pizza place to try. Although room temperature, the pizza was excellent! But my husband was really looking forward to the King Cake knots. What a disappointment! 75% of them were burnt. Can't believe the kitchen allowed that to go out.
google avatar

Jazmin S.

Yelp
Caught them on Student & teacher Tuesday & had such a good time! The service was great, wine was very tasty and the pizza was delicious! It's such a cute place and I will definitely be back again!
google avatar

Phyllis C.

Yelp
Loved this place earlier this year, but what happened?! I ordered two pizzas. One was cold, one was burnt. Salad was old, meatballs cold... the only thing that I would come back for is the garlic fonduta dip. P.S. if you have a waiter named Kevin there, he's very rude. Never came back to check on us and definitely needed drinks refilled. The one thing that was so awful was he gave me my bill and not even 5 minutes later, he comes back and rudely asks "can i have the payment now?". Still never gave us water and here he is asking me to hurry up and tip him. I'm sorry, I usually do not complain, but this one person really ruined my experience. The other staff were very sweet and kind. I would give this place one more try because I used to love it so much here, but maybe to go..or a different location.
google avatar

Matthew B.

Yelp
No more Ham & American Cheese Rolls?! No! That's the reason I visited but they don't want to carry American cheese anymore so it's off the menu. What a shame. I also came in based on their Facebook post for their Sunday specials but their draft beer system was completely offline so no half price draft for me. We ordered the Pepperoni Pizza with Ricotta Cheese but I find the base crust to be flimsy and soft. I would prefer a crisper crust underneath plus the dough had multiple bubbles. We weren't impressed especially for the high pricing here. Walking up outside I was surprise the door was unlocked because this location looked closed from the street. Expect to be vax checked at the front door. I guess I didn't know service industry personnel are now healthcare workers too. Thanks to #LaToyathaDestroya We won't be back.
google avatar

Minette C.

Yelp
I've been to two separate locations and this pizza joint does not disappoint. I never thought I would like sweetness to my pizza and tried the Gorgonzola, peaches with honey. It was amazingly delicious. We also tried a savory pie and was also not disappointed.

Yelp
Their happy hour (1/2 price pies, beers, and wine glasses from 3-5p weekdays) might make for the single best value in the entire city. It's solid pizza, with the ham & ricotta being the real stand-out. Even if you aren't into fruit and honey on your pizza, it's good salty ham and impossible smooth, creamy ricotta. The white pie and the pepperoni were also excellent. They do not skim on the cheese, and their red sauce is tasty. I'd say their crusts are hit or miss, with some being perfectly blistered and having beautiful, smoky charred bits with an overall soft, chewy texture, while others were a bit over-baked. Nonetheless, a very good pie at an amazing price.
