Pizza Hut Restaurants Strand, London

Against my better judgement we decided to visit Pizza Hut after a viewing of the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, as pizza seemed appropriate and we hoped to double up on some early 90s nostalgia - back to a time when Pizza Hut dominated the UK pizza scene with it's thick oily bases before better alternatives arrived. We had to queue for a short while surprisingly, it was early in the evening so I assume people were looking for a quick and easy pre-theatre meal. We were unfortunately sat in the gloomy windowless downstairs area, on a tiny table stuck between a till point and a wall adorned with ancient peeling artwork of pizza-themed super heroes. The table was so wobbly we had to put a total of three napkins under to steady it. Waiting staff were fast but impersonal, with ordering done via a QR code and online menu as though we were back in pandemic times. Everything felt geared to turning over tables as quickly as possible. Once we'd ordered the waiter brought glasses for our self-serve drinks and they were absolutely disgusting - covered in fingerprints, smears and lip marks, as though they hadn't been washed in days. I asked for cleaner glasses but the ones we received weren't much better. The infamous salad bar was just as you remember it, tastes have changed but it has not. The produce was of an extremely low quality - browning lettuce, limp cucumber and the blandest tomatoes I've ever tasted - I've had tap water with more flavour. The pizza itself was just as I remembered for better or worse - thick, doughy, oily base and a reasonable amount of cheese and toppings. I found the prices startling, around £30 for a large pizza and £13 for a small, medium no longer an option. The atmosphere was abysmal - the couple behind us were having an extremely unpleasant argument during which he told her to 'sit down or I'll drag you down', not the restaurant's fault - unless the flaccid salad had put them in such a foul mood that they had resorted to verbally busing each other. It's hard to find much to recommend about the the Hut - the pizza was edible but you'd be better off at one of the many other pizza restaurants in the area. Unfortunately as the queue showed there will never be a shortage of tourists and theatre-goers who don't know any better to keep the place churning out overpriced, below average, mass-produced junk food.

I have been in many of Pizza huts chains but this one is the best, especially the manager called Darun. He was great in service and the welcome atmosphere he has created in the restaurant was amazing

It's been at least 25 years since last setting foot in a Pizza Hut and I was pleasantly surprised. The general layout of the restaurant with banquet seating was good. Visited late in the evening and the salad bar was looking a bit sorry for itself with a few items missing and low levels on others. Pizza wise, it was pretty good, with enough topping and generally good. The staff were attentive and chatty.

We popped in for a quick lunch. The staff were very friendly and efficient. After a few mins of being seated we were asked to move due to the electrician needing to repair the light over our table. No big deal except he then stood on that table which wasn't cleaned after he finished before the next customer. The pizza was great and thoroughly enjoyed. However, as we had a meal deal, we had to go downstairs stairs for the ice-cream. Having said that if I were in London again, I would go there again.0

One of the best pizza huts. The pizzas and the dessert was amazing. However there was a lack of service.

One star is actually because I do not have a lower option. No staff member was interested in hosting. No explanation of menu. The staff did not know the menu to answer questions. Since when are Pizza Hut prices like a fancy high end restaurant? £20 for an individual size pizza? Seriously? It is supposed to be a fast food chain. People are attracted to you for a quick affordable meal. Neither was this quick nor affordable. I would happily pay £20 if the quality of food and the sitting environment was top notch. The sofas are all worn out, the floor was sticky and the tables, plates and glasses I didn’t want to touch them. The salad bar was a joke. Lowest quality of lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes available in the market. I felt so sick after eating here and I actually regretted even ordering here. I should have just seen the atmosphere and left. Definitely not Pizza Hut I remember from my childhood. DO NOT GO THERE GUYS. There are A LOT of options around.

Quickness to get a table as I hadn’t booked, the ease of ordering and prepaying for the meal, drink selection always good when u have children. Everything was great although salad bar was quite empty and they didn’t refill it. Unfortunately, toilets were also disappointing as they were dirty and taps weren’t working which is why I’ve scored a 3/5

We just had an amazing experience with the Pizza Hut on the Strand (right opposite Six the musical). As a group of 16 we booked on the phone and were told we would be downstairs. We have our own private section with lots of space and a short walk to the toilets. We had kids meals which included bottomless drinks, bottomless salad, pizza, a side (garlic bread, chips or onion rings) and unlimited ice cream factory. Such great value! Downstairs had its own fully stocked salad bar, drinks machines and ice cream machine making everything super close by! The staff were amazing and so accommodating nothing was too much. Really recommend for groups visiting London!

For a value of price and taste I believe it's really a good catch as I have tested Pizza Hut every where in the world I felt the difference in the taste as there is an option more than crust pizza more type thin thick. I recommend it as it's the the main Oxford Street near by 3 hotels.

There's a mediocre salad bar where the fresh is wilted and the remainder is drowning in mayo. Pizza toppings were okay. The "thin crispy crust" was limp, soggy, and bland. I was seated and forgotten. The manager eventually took my order. The server was anything but. Why can't I give zero stars?

This pizza hut has a good ambiance for a laid back team lunch as they have unlimited (pizza and salad bar) lunch offer. Per person with a soft drink, you will end up paying appx. £10.

First of all, I think it's absolutely hilarious that Pizza Hut is a sit-down establishment over here. In America, it's definitely a fast food spot on par with McDonalds/Subway. You know what, I'll actually bump it up to a Chipotle/local Chinese restaurant due to the fact that it doesn't cost a ton to feed your family, but you can still heavily customize your order. So... enough waxing patriotic, this review is for the take-away aspect. There's a Special Offer called "Treat Yourself" that entails any individual pizza + any classic side (either fries/chips/potato wedges) for £7.95. There's also a "Two's Company" deal which has 1 large pizza + any classic side + a 2 liter soft drink for £14.95. This is pretty awesome if you, like me, are an American student who sometimes craves a little piece of home that hasn't been "reinterpreted".

Lovely place, staff very nice and extremely helpful. Food come out hot. Only issue is toilets are down 3 floors.

I believe this Pizza Hut restaurant could do better in making pizza... We had supreme, meat feast and the inferno pizzas and they were just fine (like the sixth Harry Potter movie). We had a lot of salad due to the unlimited buffet and I must say the choices were enough... you know, for starters... We paid 50 pounds which I believe was logical. If you go to this restaurant asked to be served by a woman. The guy that served us was very bored and never cared. We had to realize by ourselves that we could have salad and he was never around.... we had to call for the waitress from the other tables...

Very good buffet, but I find the pizza's are a little dry and perhaps could use more sauce I love the stuffed crust and is a popular location for families. Staff are friendly and eager to please

Pizza hut are great, they have great offers and delicious fresh pizza. and starters however the pasta and salad aren't fresh and you can taste it, unfortunately. Also i feel that pizzaexpress outdo them when it comes to food quality and service. nevertheless i am still a fan of pizza hut, they are friendly staff who are always nice and polite, and the restaurant is always clean and the toilets are also very clean. The food prices are also very reasonable and the starters are devine! not too much to criticise really. The service is good the food is good the restaurants are good. So all in all, its GOOD!

This Pizza Hut is excellent, either for take-aways or to sit down and absorbe the flair of london. The restaurant is very close to Trafalgar Square and a great place to take your kids to to start or to end a long and exhausting day in central london. Right next to it is charing cross station, so it is also perfect for everybody who is headding home, but who wants to take an delicious pizza with them They have very cosy decoration and if you are lucky, you get a place at the window and you can see what's going on on busy Strand.

This is an excellent branch of the famous pizza chain, probably one of the best branches I have visited. With a great atmosphere, friendly staff and prompt service from the minute we walked in to the minute we left the place we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Te food was abolutely delicious and brought to our table in good time, we weren't left waiting for ages between courses and you just can't beat pizza hut for value when you consider the quality of their food. A couple of minor gripes would be that it's a fair way to walk to find the customer toilets and the decor could be a bit more exciting but that's just being petty now. Overall we had a great visit and plan to go back there soon!

Pizza Hut offers good food but their service is quite bad. I waited almost an hour for my pizza to come to my table, and even when I started eating I found that there was so much oil in the pizza. Also it is not a nice place to sit as a group of teens were sitting behind me and were throwing food about and it is noisy and not very clean. Sorry, I generally like Pizza Hut but this one was not for me, they could improve a lot.

It is a relatively cheap option to have your lunch or dinner in London. I am pretty sure many of us would know about Pizza Hut. I would suggest their starter than their pizza. They have some offer for you to order several starter. Their starters are very good in taste and it is quite a large portions which can be shared wither friends. I love to go there especially when I am with my friends as they all eat a lot which Pizza hut can helps to save a lot ^_^

Good brand of pizza with nice selction. Tend to be quite expensive but look out for offers. Good location/

well, u knw ifind dem expensive, they are good for me to good togout wid strangers but not wid people I m close widcuz I think dey are exp..jus a big name wid helluva money dominos is better wid their thin crust ..
