"Pizza by the slice remains one of the world's finest quick lunch options, especially when you’re downtown and need a filling meal before going back to work. Leila’s Sicilian-style pies are thick and just the right amount of dense, with buttery crusts and unexpected toppings. The roasted elote pizza features springy corn, spicy chorizo, and poblano peppers, and the BBQ rib eye and kimchi pizza eats like Korean-Texas barbecue, pairing rich marinated steak with crunchy kimchi. Pizza Leila has a second location at the NorthPark Mall food court, which is more of an FYI than a suggestion to eat at the NorthPark mall food court. But hey, desperate times call for good pizza." - kevin gray

Google
the $10 lunch special with two slices and a drink is great! They have 10+ options of pizza you can choose from. There’s seating indoors but also a nice outdoor space with tables.

Google
The pizza here was amazing. I tried to Texas brisket pizza and The butchers. The flavor was on point and it's a pretty nice slice. I will definitely come back to try more

Google
Super cool spot. The pizza was fresh and I could tell the ingredients were good quality. Not to mention the lunch deal, 2 slices and a drink for $10, is an absolute steal! Most fast food joints cost more for way less! Only possible negative was not a lot of seats inside, but they do have a patio if you are willing to brave the weather.

Google
Tried this place out before going to the DSO recently. It crushed expectations, and both slices were full of flavor. The inside is also nice and cute for a good bite with a good view of the streets. Would come back!

Google
The lunch special of two slices and a drink for $10 is a great way to try this place. Sicilian isn’t my go to style but this was fantastic. It was a long walk here from my office but it was worth it. This time I tried the sausage and peppers and the kimchi but everything looked so good! Can’t wait to try the others!!

Google
Pizza Leila is freaking good. Look, Dallas badly needs more by-the-slice pizza establishments. This one, especially with the square slices, is a definite place to visit. I’ve been here multiple times now for a slice of pepperoni and a slice of grandma’s square and it absolutely hits the spot every time. Please do yourself a favor and hit a couple Dallas art museums and then snag some Leila’s afterward (or before if you’re so inclined!).

Google
Nice little pizza place in Downtown Dallas. They have a wide and diverse selection of slices. They offer salads and healthy beverages as well. I will be back.

Google
I had some expectations due to having had silicilan pizza from a few authentic places nationally. This was so worth it. The flavors are so rich but not over powering. Personally, my favorite ended up being the mushroom. I love that they have each pizza up for display. There are different condiments for dine in as well which I thought was a great touch. Parking is up to downtown Dallas standards which means, good luck finding one BUT when you do, it's worth the walk. The garlic knots are prob the best I've had in a while and the sauce is def spicy which is different compared to most. Recommended.

Yelp
Lovely pizza and fun atmosphere. We really enjoyed our pizza here. The Sicilian style makes a nice change from thin based pizza and they have a great selection of toppings. We had the four cheese, mushroom, Texas brisket, kimchi rib and buffalo chicken. All were great! We ate in. It was lovely and clean.

Julia B.

Yelp
Pizza was overly salty, texture was too dense and seemed like it had been made then reheated. The garlic knots, which had a ton of rave reviews, were disappointing and had the texture of rolls from the frozen aisle. Staff was friendly, order was ready promptly, and restaurant was clean, but overall product quality was lacking.

Shane S.

Yelp
Based on reviews, I'm going to go against the grain here a little bit. This is NOT anything like a NY Sicilian pizza. The crust is not buttery, the dough lakes taste and the sauce is unenjoyably spicey. With minimal cheese, it was just bland dough with spicy sauce. The garlic knots felt more like Parmesan dinner roles which were also accompanied by this over-spicy saucy. They were flaky and buttery which just felt off for a garlic knot.

Grisel A.

Yelp
Not sure I'd say Chicago style It was ok. I may have to go in person since I ordered delivery.

Lilly L.

Yelp
Very yummy! Great location if you want a budget friendly place to eat dinner before the Winspear. We really liked every slice we had.

Gigi T.

Yelp
This place was okay. I've seen a bunch of videos hyping this pizza shop, so I decided to go try it. The inside was nice. Service was good, and the pizza looks aesthetically pleasing, but unfortunately, the pizza did not live up to the hype. I've had my fair share of this style of pizza. The sauce reminded me of a spicy lunchable marinara sauce, and the dough was kind of chewy and soft. I would not be returning.

Samra H.

Yelp
I had the fingerling potato and onion pizza and the texas brisket pizza. I liked the brisket one. The potato one was ok. I think it could have used some more seasoning as it was kind of bland. The pizzas are cut into square and by the slice. I think they are good portions for the price.

Yelp
2/4/24 via Doordash Quadruple Cheese (12x18) (Fresh Mozzarella, Asiago, Pecorino, and Parmesan) - plus added Sausage. SIGH... too much bread, STILL not enough cheese. It's similar to a deep dish or Pan-styled pizza. Fast prep and delivery though; Sauce was good! I attempted to order from here during their advertised first week, but they weren't ready. I'll consider visiting in the future to investigate ambiance, but i won't have the Pizza; maybe side dishes? Their photos look so good, and menu options sound even better. If you're not a pizza snob, I'd say give them a try! I imagine parking is terrible, based on their location; there might be limited street parking or garage parking that could be possibly comped or even valet. Not sure. See other reviewers.

Sara H.

Yelp
Pretty good! First time here and I will say we really enjoyed the the parm garlic knots. The red sauce that comes with it is super spicy but super delicious! We tried a slice (square) of grandmas square and wild mushroom, both really good and full of flavor. I personally thought they were super heavy but I usually like thin crust pizza and this is far from that. Note - this is located inside Sloan's Corner!

Lee S.

Yelp
Parking was atrocious and it's in a busy Dowtown area. This might slightly adjust to a more manageable factor in cooler temps, but now.....nah. The pizza itself had very interesting options and you can customize slices which is dope. Kimchi on pizza is AMAZING. Nothing about the service was standout, but the service style and physical layout minimizes a high degree of interaction. Think Subway on layout. I'd definitely revisit. On a side-note, a side of sauce cost about as much as a slice which literally made LOL. Nice filling slices and cheaper than you'd imagine. I think they have daily specials, as well and a reasonable walk to a nearby park. Do with that what you will ;-).

Matthew G.

Yelp
Went to Pizza Leila a couple weeks ago for the first time in many months, and unfortunately, as another reviewer pointed out, they made big downgrades to their pizza. It used to have a great NY Sicilian style crust. As a NJ-native I would tell people this was the best pizza I'd had in Dallas. (I didn't visit often, though, because it wasn't too close to me and parking was very tough in the immediate vicinity.). Now it's a thinner, more frozen-pizza style crust. And in comparing the four cheese slices previously (first pic) and now (second pic), you can see much less of the delicious blend of cheeses. It tasted more like a glorified Ellio's pizza! It wasn't bad, but definitely not the great pizza I had previously recommended to people. Hopefully they'll change things back, especially with the new location opening up.

Shivani M.

Yelp
Great Pizza and perfect location! I was walking over to klyde warren and stopped by this place. I got 2 slices of pizza: the vegan pepperoni and the classic. Both were great and so filling! Also there were plenty of seats outdoors and bar style seating inside. I will definitely be coming back for a quick bite.

Brittani B.

Yelp
Pizza Leila may be a small restaurant, but the flavor is HUGE! The pizza slices are each so different, offering many options for whatever your niche is. The service is quick and friendly. I highly recommend this for a quick lunch!

Jordan C.

Yelp
Super delish. We got a full pie with 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 soppressata. Honestly 1 slice was enough along with their garlic knots...which were also decadent. shoutout to their spicy marinara actually being spicy . That's rarely true The order was ready right when they quoted it for online. It's a little pricey but honestly a wonderful treat. Such a cute spot to grab a quick bite in the downtown area.

Susan N.

Yelp
I've been on a pizza kick lately and finally made the trip to their new location! I can happily report that my cravings have been satisfied. I love their Sicilian-style pizza. The dough is crispy yet still airy. I tried their BBQ short rib kimchi which tasted a little sweet and their queso fundido (my personal fav). Both were delicious and each slice is seriously larger than expected! Overall 2nd time trying Pizza Leila and they are definitely one of my favorite pizza spots now.

Tammy N.

Yelp
Not a lot of places that sell pizza by the slice. I love trying different variations and typically never want to order a whole pizza, so getting different slices is perfect for me. Pizza is delicious every time!

Jessica T.

Yelp
The pizza is delicious!! They had so many good options and the workers were friendly. I would definitely come back to try some of the other ones.

Courtney A.

Yelp
Great pizza for a great price - the grandma square is our favorite, with a little spicy kick in the sauce! We also meet the owner who shared his favorites. Love the new store front, easy to get a quick slice.

Steven S.

Yelp
Pizza Leila is a hidden gem located at Sloane's Corner that I have been impatiently waiting to try. I love pizza and being from Michigan and also having lived in Illinois for a few decades, I'm a big fan of pan pizza. I went with my family and opted to sit outside for lunch on a hot Dallas day because of the incredible setup that was in place (awning and fans) that made it feel significantly cooler than the mid 90's actual temps. TIP: Ask the waitress for a menu for Pizza Leila as we were given general menu's that did not have the pizza mentioned and did not see any signage anywhere that we were indeed at the right location. "It's almost like a secret menu item", my son said to me. I ordered a slice of Grandma's Square, and a slice of The Butcher; both were phenomenal. Grandma's Square will be popular with those that like Margherita style pizza and I loved it. For a pizza without meat (I'm a meat eater) it doesn't get much better than this. I am already planning my next slice. The Butcher is a mix of meats that also arouses the pallet and has a fantastic flavor. Be warned though that one piece will easily fill you up due to the amount of protein. Keep up the amazing work! We cannot wait to return.

Niki P.

Yelp
I do really love this place but they took my favorite flavor off the menu- spinach artichoke..... but still a solid place for a Sicilian style slice - the grandma is a little too spicy for me and I wish they offered another reg. Flavor less spicy...

John S.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. Saw on influencer on IG promote the place and seemed like a promising shop. Unfortunately this was the worst Sicilian pizza I've ever had. We ordered the pepperoni pie. The dough was very dense and had no flavor. The sauce was mediocre. Overall our pizza was the combination of over mixed dough, making it rubbery, underbaked, and no flavor. My recommendation would be to use better flour for pizza, don't over mix the dough so it can rise and be more airy or make the dough similar to a focaccia.

Julia S.

Yelp
Lots of great pizza options, including for vegans! Our group got 6 slices to share. The pepperoni, queso, and funghi pizza were the standouts to us.

Bradley A.

Yelp
I wouldn't make this my go to pizza place because I happen to like thin crust better, but the Sicilian pizza here is outstanding. Got 1/2 butcher and 1/2 spicy & sweet soppressata. Enjoyed the butcher better but the sweet and spicy side was fun to try. It's expensive ($40 for the 1/2 and 1/2) but it could feed 4 people. And it would be a lot cheaper if you just did one topping or a whole pizza the same. Love the crust, and the leftovers were great the next day. As noted by others, it is located inside sloanes corner.

Andrea M.

Yelp
not fascinated by their food! we ordered 3 slizes and one was still cold and the other was really hard. the place is small so they have very limited seating. the service was alright nothing great. we did order a pepperoni slice and there was a fresh one out but they gave us the old one which was fine but for the person behind us they got the fresh slice wighout asking, just seemed weird !

David S.

Yelp
So you can never get tired of looking for new pizzarias. Everyone has to have a pizza fix every now and then when your hankering for it. I personally like neopolitan style pizza, but let me tell you Pizza Leila caught my eye when a Yelp reviewer posted a great pick of her pepperoni pizza and that's all I needed, I had to try it because it reminded me of those square thick slices you get at Prince St. Pizza in New York City. You can read my review here. Prince Street Pizza https://yelp.to/vikiGL0b1ab This pizza delivers on taste and is packed with pepperoni if you get it that way. It starts off as a plain Sicilian pizza and then you add what toppings they have to offer. They are thick slices, so make this your cheat meal for the day and eat light before hand, LOL!! You won't regret it. When they handed my the box with this pizza in it, it felt like the heaviest pizza I had ever held onto, LOL!! Anywho, just go and get you some great tasting pizza. All the other reviewers are correct, this pizza has nice charred crust where it needs it and is just packed with flavor. Another tip is that this place is on the corner of Ross Ave and Olive St., inside of Sloane's Corner, They do curbside, so if you order it, just park out front and call them and they will bring it out to you.

Micky C.

Yelp
What a treat to have a pizza place within walking distance of my office with a vegan option!! Cute little place but not much seating. There's a bar at the window inside and maybe 6 small tables outside. It's a little cold & busy inside so maybe not great unless you're by yourself. The tables outside were all full when I was there but KWP is close by. The crust is really good & there's plenty of yummy cheese & sauce. The vegan pepperoni is good too - spicy! If you're like me, you'll want 2 pieces but 1 is probably good. I got 2 and couldn't finish them both due to size & spicy - I wanted to but couldn't. My friend had the Hawaiian & said it was really good, liked the peppers on it but they were a little spicy as well. Service was friendly & were able to quickly accommodate a change from dine-in to take out. Prices are reasonable as well.

Tristan B.

Yelp
Best pizza in Dallas, full stop. Truly insane Sicilian pizza tucked away inside of another restaurant. The sweet and spicy soppressata is out of this world and is a must order every time I stop in. Do note that they only do takeout and it's actually located inside of another restaurant called Sloane's Corner which can be a tad confusing

Adrienne B.

Yelp
Popped into Leila after seeing them featured on Dallasite101's Instagram! The restaurant is so cute and a great vibe, and the pizza options were great. We ordered for takeout, and I walked in right as our knots were being boxed up, fresh from the oven. The knots and sauce were incredible, and the pizza was great too! We aren't big deep dish fans, but Leila's was definitely the best deep dish we've ever had! While a little on the pricier side for a pizza or couple slices, its worth a fun visit!

Morgan P.

Yelp
Being that I love pizza but have some dietary restrictions Pizza Leila is amazing! If you love thick and crispy crust this place is for you. I had the vegan spicy pepperoni and it was delicious. The garlic knots with the marinara were chefs kiss. The staff members were extremely helpful with all of my questions as it was my first time. To top it all of it was an amazing day to sit outside under their nice umbrellas.

Aaron G.

Yelp
This isn't Detroit style pizza which is all the craze now; it's grandma/Sicilian style pizza. Awesome crust with a great flavor, no too many toppings, not too caramelized. This isn't on the menu but I'm call it Leila's Tour: order four different slices, it'll come in. The same box and it'll only cost you around 18 bucks!

Bill C.

Yelp
Fantastic service and the pizza is incredible! A nice change of pace from a NY style slice or Neapolitan. Fresh and delicious for sure. Flavor is off the charts!

Naz K.

Yelp
Loved the pizza this place puts out, its different, it reminds me of pizza my mom use to make at home. Parking is not easy to find, this place is clean and could easily accommodate a lot of people. Staff were polite and professional they even let us eat the pizza at the bar, normally there pizza is only TO GO my understanding.

Yosheme A.

Yelp
Nice little pizzeria in the heart of Dallas' Arts District with a lot of variety at a friendly price. Great food and great service! What's not to like!

Carly M.

Yelp
YUM! This pizza is so unique and unlike anything else I've had in Dallas! Consider me a regular (:

Madison P.

Yelp
HOLY CRAP best gluten free pizza I have ever had!! The crust looked just like the regular (I know it was gluten free) and it wasn't extra!! So the $10 2 slice + drink special worked. The people were so nice and they let me put vegan cheese on my slices too. I got the BBQ ribeye kimchi which was immaculate but the chicken lik one takes the cake! Only complaint is that the antipasto salad was $12 but I took home leftovers so eh. I will be back 100% just look @ the pictures to drool.

Macy W.

Yelp
OMG. The other reviews were telling the truth. This pizza is phenomenal. I got Grandma's Square but added pepperoni. All the flavors are perfectly blended and I really like that it has the perfect balance of crunchy to soft. And it's got a very slight spiciness to it which is a huge plus! Looking forward to finishing this pizza and ordering more in the future.

Nader H.

Yelp
Pizza Leila, stop playing with my emotions. Just stop it. I grew up in New Jersey, being VERY accustomed to a good grandmas pie (pizza) from most local pizza shops. When I heard that pizza Leila was opening up with them specializing in just Sicilian pies (pizza), I was SO excited. WELL, I was not disappointed. I first called because I was confused with how doordash showed their menu, I panicked and thought they just offered individual slices, but the nice gentlemen on the phone took my phone number down, checked doordash and then explained to me how to order a whole pie. We ordered a grandmas pie, garlic knots, and an extra side of regular sauce. Wow, wow, wow! I looked at my wife and nearly started tearing from tasting that reminiscent taste I was used too from New Jersey. The garlic knots were buttery, oily, fluffy and Parmesan-y. Just perfect. The pizza had everything you want. A perfect crispy crust, INCREDIBLE sauce and just the perfect amount of cheese. Dare I say it should be illegal to add anything else to this already perfect pizza? Do your soul and body a favor and try this slice of love. I'm so happy that y'all have opened up in Dallas, this will for sure become our go to pizza spot.

Charles B.

Yelp
Dynamite pizza. Without a doubt one of the top pizzas that will ever be in Dallas. Try the garlic knots with spicy marina and get a full Grandma's pizza. Everything is good though, can't go wrong

Maiu U.

Yelp
Look no further for the best pizza in Dallas... I've tried Yelp's "best" places in Austin, NYC, Chicago, and this place easily tops all of them. The flavors are full and complex, and the bread the perfect combination of crispy and softness. The ingredients are top notch.. and the presentation amazing. My favorite was the Mushroom one, with the Grandma one a close second. Will be ordering from here when guests come into town and I need to show them what Dallas is capable of!

S C.

Yelp
Great options for vegetarians and they even have a spicy vegan pepperoni pizza. If you like spice try the garlic knots w spicy marinara! Employees are friendly and the restaurant is clean. Bonus- they have Prosecco.

Charlene F.

Yelp
Tried Pizza Leila a few months ago through Doordash. Driver took a long time and pizza arrived soggy and just okay. Decided to try them again and picked it up myself and OMG...SOOO GOOOD! We got the grandma's square pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage. The tomato sauce, the mozzarella, the pepperoni and sausage, the fresh basil...every thing was absolutely delicious. Pizza Leila will definitely stay in our pizza rotation.

Mike S.

Yelp
I've been a fan of the Grandma's Square for years, however, the last few orders have not been the same pizza that we have enjoyed. The crust, which was the highlight of the pie is thinner and not as airy as it was previously. In addition, they have gone from small dabs of sauce and healthy helpings of cheese to the exact opposite. They pie is smothered in sauce and the cheese is far less than in the past. I can only assume that something has changed that has effected the quality that we have enjoyed over the years.

Lane H.

Yelp
Excellent! Really enjoyable deep dish pizza! No matter if u like Neapolitan, traditional thin crust or whatever, this pizza tastes delicious. We are pizza freaks and this pizza did not disappoint.

Paul G.

Yelp
Not sure if this is what they intended. It's a soggy thick piece of bread with cheese and greasy sauce.

Safia O.

Yelp
This review is simply for the confusion!!!. I call the number on the profile. It actually is for Sloane's corner!!! If the idiot host actually answered the phone stating the name, I would've known that. This Yelp page needs to be updated stating its closed for construction. I drove all the way here and it's closed!!!

Meko I.

Yelp
The best pizza in Dallas. I wish I didn't have to say more. They do have vegan options which is perfect for me as I don't eat dairy. 10/10

Dennis L.

Yelp
Half and half pizza ends up being a 75/25 after the soupy mess slides over on delivery. Be prepared to eat it out of a bowl.

Jasper S.

Yelp
Genuinely the best pizza I've ever had in Texas. Their Grandma pizza is astounding. Mushroom and Four Cheese are great as well, but it's the Grandma that's a must-have. The homemade ranch is also incredible. I had to stop myself from devouring the entire container! My only complaint is that the pizza is a little on the oily side, but maybe that's what makes it so good. Also if you get lost trying to find Pizza Leila like I first did: it's literally inside of Sloan's Corner. It doesn't have any outside advertising- I guess they're going for a true "hidden gem" feel.

Han C.

Yelp
A seriously surprisingly delicious pizza! I never would have expected to find such a perfect Sicilian pie in Texas, but I'm so happy to have found it! Pizza Leila is SO GOOD. We bought a whole grandma pie (nine square slices) which had plenty of delicious red sauce + fresh mozzarella + fat basil leaves upon each square. I ordered it to go, and brought it home for a quick reheat in the oven, and each piece came out so light and fluffy, yet crisp (the perfect square slice!). The tangy red sauce was perfection. Ordering is super easy through their site, and curbside pickup was quick! (I parked in the valet section on Ross, and they brought it out within a couple of minutes). Big recommend!
